send to Antioch with Paul and
Barnabas. They chose
Judas called Barsabbas and
Silas, two leaders among the brothers,
And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren
send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and
Cilicia:
and
sent them with this letter: The apostles and the elders, your brothers, To the brothers among the Gentiles in Antioch, Syria, and
Cilicia: Greetings.
It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one
accord, to
send chosen men unto you with our beloved
Barnabas and Paul,
So we all agreed to choose men to
send to you along with our beloved

sent therefore
Judas and
Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.

sending Judas and
Silas to tell you in person the same things we are writing.

sent straightway to thee, and gave commandment to his accusers also to say before thee what they had against him.

sent him to you at once. I also
instructed his accusers to present their case against him before you.

send a prisoner, and not
withal to
signify the crimes laid against him.

fourteenth night was come, as we were driven up and down in
Adria, about
midnight the
shipmen deemed that they drew near to some country;

Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable,
unmerciful:
They are
senseless, faithless, heartless,
merciless.
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
For what the law was powerless to do in that it was
weakened by the flesh, God did by
sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful man, as an offering for sin. He thus condemned sin in the flesh,
For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.
For the Lord will carry out His sentence on the earth thoroughly and decisively.”
And how shall they
preach, except they be
sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that
preach the gospel of peace, and bring
glad tidings of good things!
And how can they
preach unless they are
sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Greet one another with a holy
kiss. All the churches of Christ
send you greetings.
Timothy, my fellow worker,
sends you greetings, as do
Lucius,
Jason, and Sosipater, my fellow countrymen.
Gaius mine host, and of the whole church, saluteth you.
Erastus the
chamberlain of the city saluteth you, and Quartus a brother.
Gaius, who has hosted me and all the church,
sends you greetings.
Erastus, the city
treasurer,
sends you greetings, as does our brother Quartus.
For Christ
sent me not to
baptize, but to
preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
For Christ did not
send me to
baptize, but to
preach the gospel, not with words of wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be
emptied of its power.
For this cause have I
sent unto you
Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into
remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
That is why I have
sent you
Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which is exactly what I teach everywhere in every church.
If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?
Then, on my arrival, I will
send letters with those you
recommend to carry your gift to Jerusalem.
Let no man therefore
despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.
No one, then, should treat him with contempt. Send him on his way in peace so that he can return to me, for I am expecting him along with the brothers.
The churches in the province of Asia
send you greetings.
Aquila and Prisca
greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house.
All the brothers here
send you greetings.
Greet one another with a holy
kiss.
But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
Indeed, we felt we were under the sentence of death, in order that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God, who raises the dead.
For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of
sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
For we are not like so many others, who
peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with
sincerity, as men
sent from God.
And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches;
Along with
Titus we are
sending the brother who is praised by all the churches for his work in the gospel.
And we have
sent with them our brother, whom we have
oftentimes proved
diligent in many things, but now much more
diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you.
And we are
sending along with them our brother whose earnestness has been
proven many times and in many ways, and now even more so by his great confidence in you.
Yet have I
sent the brethren, lest our
boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:
But I am
sending the brothers in order that our
boasting about you in this matter should not prove empty, but that you will be prepared, just as I said.
Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you?
I desired
Titus, and with him I
sent a brother. Did
Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?
I urged
Titus to visit you, and I
sent our brother with him. Did
Titus exploit you in any way? Did we not walk in the same Spirit and follow in the same footsteps?
All the saints send you greetings.
Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead—
But when the
fulness of the time was come, God
sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
But when the time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
And because ye are sons, God hath
sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying,
Abba, Father.
And because you are sons, God
sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “
Abba, Father!”
Having lost all
sense of shame, they have given themselves over to
sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity, with a
craving for more.
Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
I have
sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know about us, and that he may
encourage your hearts.
But I trust in the Lord Jesus to
send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
Now I hope in the Lord Jesus to
send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be
cheered when I learn how you are doing.
Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.
So I hope to send him as soon as I see what happens with me.
Yet I supposed it necessary to
send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellow soldier, but your
messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
But I thought it necessary to
send back to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, who is also your
messenger and minister to my needs.
I
sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may
rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
Therefore I am all the more eager to
send him, so that when you see him again you may
rejoice, and I may be less anxious.
For even in
Thessalonica ye
sent once and again unto my necessity.
For even while I was in
Thessalonica, you provided for my needs again and again.
But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
I have all I need and more, now that I have received your gifts from Epaphroditus. They are a
fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.
Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me
greet you.
Greet all the saints in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me
send you greetings.
All the saints
salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar’s household.
All the saints send you greetings, especially those from the household of Caesar.
Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts;
I have
sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know about us, and that he may
encourage your hearts.
With
Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here.
With him I am
sending Onesimus, our faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They will tell you about everything here.
Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and
Marcus, sister’s son to
Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;)
My fellow prisoner
Aristarchus sends you greetings, as does Mark the cousin of
Barnabas. You have already received instructions about him: If he comes to you,
welcome him.
And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the
circumcision. These only are my fellow workers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.
Jesus, who is called Justus, also sends greetings. These are the only Jews among my fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they have been a comfort to me.
Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring
fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus,
sends you greetings. He is always
wrestling in prayer for you, so that you may stand
mature and fully
assured in the full will of God.
Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas,
greet you.
Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas send you greetings.
And
sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:
For this cause, when I could no longer
forbear, I
sent to know your faith, lest by some means the
tempter have
tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
For this reason, when I could bear it no longer, I
sent to find out about your faith, for fear that the
tempter had
somehow tempted you and caused our labor to be in vain.
And for this cause God shall
send them strong
delusion, that they should believe a lie:
For this reason God will
send them a powerful
delusion so that they believe the lie,
And that they may recover themselves out of the
snare of the devil, who are taken
captive by him at his will.
Then they will come to their
senses and escape the
snare of the devil, who has taken them
captive to his will.
Tychicus, however, I have
sent to Ephesus.
Do thy
diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and
Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.
Make every effort to come to me before winter. Eubulus
sends you greetings, as do Pudens,
Linus, Claudia, and all the brothers.
Teaching us that, denying
ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live
soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
It instructs us to
renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live
sensible, upright, and godly lives in the present age,
As soon as I
send Artemas or
Tychicus to you, make every effort to come to me at
Nicopolis, because I have decided to winter there.
All that are with me
salute thee.
Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all.
Amen.
All who are with me
send you greetings.
Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with all of you.
Whom I have
sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own
bowels:
I am sending back to you him who is my very heart.
There
salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;
Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends you greetings,
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Are not the angels ministering spirits
sent to serve those who will
inherit salvation?
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their
senses exercised to
discern both good and evil.
But solid food is for the
mature, who by constant use have trained their
senses to distinguish good from evil.
Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
Abraham reasoned that God could raise the dead, and in a sense, he did receive Isaac back from death.
Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy
salute you.
Greet all your leaders and all the saints. Those from Italy
send you greetings.
Likewise also was not
Rahab the
harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had
sent them out another way?
Doth a fountain
send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?
Such wisdom does not come from above, but is earthly, unspiritual,
demonic.
Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, when they
foretold the things now
announced by those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit
sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.
Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
or to governors as those
sent by him to
punish those who do wrong and to praise those who do right.
