For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of
drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
He is like a tree planted by the waters that
sends out its roots toward the stream. It does not fear when the heat comes, and its leaves are always green. It does not
worry in a year of
drought, nor does it cease to produce fruit.
I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they
prophesied.
I did not
send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have
prophesied.
And I will
send the sword, the famine, and the
pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers.
And I will send against them sword and famine and plague, until they have perished from the land that I gave to them and their fathers.’”
And the LORD hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and
sending them; but ye have not
hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.

listened or inclined your ear to hear.
Behold, I will
send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an
astonishment, and an
hissing, and perpetual desolations.
behold, I will
summon all the families of the north, declares the LORD, and I will
send for My servant
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, whom I will bring against this land, against its residents, and against all the surrounding nations. So I will
devote them to destruction and make them an object of
horror and contempt, an
everlasting desolation.
For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this
fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I
send thee, to drink it.
This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, said to me: “Take from My hand this cup of the wine of wrath, and make all the nations to whom I send you drink from it.
And they shall drink, and be moved, and be
mad, because of the sword that I will
send among them.
And they will drink and
stagger and go out of their minds, because of the sword that I will
send among them.”
Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be
drunken, and
spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will
send among you.
“Then you are to tell them that this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘Drink, get
drunk, and
vomit. Fall down and never get up again, because of the sword I will
send among you.’
To
hearken to the words of my servants the prophets, whom I sent unto you, both rising up early, and
sending them, but ye have not
hearkened;
and if you do not
listen to the words of My servants the prophets, whom I have sent you again and again even though you did not
listen,
And
send them to the king of
Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the
Ammonites, and to the king of Tyrus, and to the king of Zidon, by the hand of the messengers which come to Jerusalem unto
Zedekiah king of Judah;
Send word to the kings of
Edom, Moab,
Ammon, Tyre, and
Sidon through the envoys who have come to Jerusalem to
Zedekiah king of Judah.
Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.
Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah, “
Listen, Hananiah! The LORD did not
send you, but you have persuaded this people to trust in a lie.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will
send upon them the sword, the famine, and the
pestilence, and will make them like
vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.
this is what the LORD of Hosts says: “I will
send against them sword and famine and plague, and I will make them like
rotten figs, so bad they cannot be eaten.
Because they have not
hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and
sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD.
I will do this because they have not
listened to My words, declares the LORD, which I sent to them again and again through My servants the prophets. And neither have you exiles
listened, declares the LORD.”
Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah hath
prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in a lie:
“
Send a message telling all the exiles what the LORD says concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite. Because Shemaiah has
prophesied to you—though I did not
send him—and has made you trust in a lie,
I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and
sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and
amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor
hearkened unto me.
Again and again I have sent you all My servants the prophets,
proclaiming: ‘Turn now, each of you, from your wicked ways, and correct your actions. Do not go after other gods to serve them. Live in the land that I have given to you and your fathers.’ But you have not inclined your ear or
listened to Me.
Therefore hear now, I pray thee, O my lord the king: let my
supplication, I pray thee, be accepted before thee; that thou cause me not to return to the house of
Jonathan the
scribe, lest I die there.
But now please
listen, O my lord the king. May my petition come before you. Do not
send me back to the house of
Jonathan the
scribe, or I will die there.”
Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.
Then they said to Jeremiah, “May the LORD be a true and faithful witness against us if we do not act upon every word that the LORD your God sends you to tell us.
Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.
Whether it is pleasant or unpleasant, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God to whom we are sending you, so that it may go well with us, for we will obey the voice of the LORD our God!”
For ye
dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us unto the LORD our God; and according unto all that the LORD our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do it.
For you have
deceived yourselves by
sending me to the LORD your God, saying, ‘Pray to the LORD our God on our behalf, and as for all that the LORD our God says, tell it to us and we will do it.’
And say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will
send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have
hid; and he shall spread his royal
pavilion over them.
Then tell them that this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘I will
send for My servant
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and I will set his throne over these stones that I have
embedded, and he will spread his royal
pavilion over them.
Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and
sending them, saying, Oh, do not this
abominable thing that I
hate.
Yet I sent you all My servants the prophets again and again, saying: ‘Do not do this
detestable thing that I
hate.’
Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will
send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to
wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles.
Therefore behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will
send to him wanderers, who will pour him out. They will empty his vessels and
shatter his jars.
For I will cause
Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them even my fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will
send the sword after them, till I have consumed them:
So I will
shatter Elam before their foes, before those who seek their lives. I will bring
disaster upon them, even My fierce anger,” declares the LORD. “I will
send out the sword after them until I finish them off.
And will
send unto Babylon fanners, that shall
fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.
I will
send strangers to Babylon to
winnow her and empty her land; for they will come against her from every side in her day of
disaster.
Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should
fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, saith the LORD.
Even if Babylon ascends to the heavens and fortifies her lofty
stronghold, the destroyers I
send will come against her,” declares the LORD.
And he said unto me, Son of man, I
send thee to the children of Israel, to a
rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have
transgressed against me, even unto this very day.
“Son of man,” He said to me, “I am
sending you to the Israelites, to a
rebellious nation that has rebelled against Me. To this very day they and their fathers have rebelled against Me.
For they are
impudent children and stiffhearted. I do
send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.
They are
obstinate and
stubborn children. I am
sending you to them, and you are to say to them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says.’
When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:
When I shower you with the deadly arrows of famine and destruction that I will
send to destroy you, I will
intensify the famine against you and cut off your supply of food.
So will I
send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall
bereave thee; and
pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it.
I will
send famine and wild beasts against you, and they will leave you childless. Plague and
bloodshed will
sweep through you, and I will bring a sword against you. I, the LORD, have spoken.”
Now is the end come upon thee, and I will
send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will
recompense upon thee all thine abominations.
The end is now upon you, and I will
unleash My anger against you. I will judge you according to your ways and repay you for all your abominations.
They have seen vanity and lying
divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would
confirm the word.
They see false visions and speak lying divinations. They claim, ‘Thus declares the LORD,’ when the LORD did not
send them; yet they wait for the
fulfillment of their message.
Say unto them which
daub it with untempered
morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a
stormy wind shall
rend it.
Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by
trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will
send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it:
“Son of man, if a land sins against Me by acting unfaithfully, and I stretch out My hand against it to cut off its supply of food, to send famine upon it, and to cut off from it both man and beast,
If I cause
noisome beasts to pass through the land, and they
spoil it, so that it be
desolate, that no man may pass through because of the beasts:
Or if I
send wild beasts through the land to leave it childless and
desolate, with no man passing through it for fear of the beasts,
Or if I
send a
pestilence into that land, and pour out my
fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:
Or if I
send a plague into that land and pour out My wrath upon it through
bloodshed, cutting off from it both man and beast,
For thus saith the Lord GOD; How much more when I
send my four
sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the
noisome beast, and the
pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?
For this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘How much worse will it be when I
send against Jerusalem My four
dire judgments—sword, famine, wild beasts, and plague—in order to cut off from it both man and beast?
But he rebelled against him in
sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he
prosper? shall he escape that doeth such things? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered?
But this king rebelled against Babylon by
sending his envoys to Egypt to ask for horses and a large army. Will he
flourish? Will the one who does such things escape? Can he break a covenant and yet escape?’
For I will
send into her
pestilence, and blood into her street; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
I will send a plague against her and shed blood in her streets; the slain will fall within her, while the sword is against her on every side. Then they will know that I am the LORD.
The waters made him great, the deep set him up on high with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field.
The waters made it grow; the deep springs made it tall, directing their streams all around its base and sending their channels to all the trees of the field.
And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.
I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. I will send down showers in season—showers of blessing.
And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
I will turn you around, drive you along, bring you up from the far north, and send you against the mountains of Israel.
And I will
send a fire on
Magog, and among them that dwell
carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
I will
send fire on
Magog and on those who dwell securely in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the LORD.
Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.
In his place one will arise who will
send out a tax
collector for the glory of the kingdom; but within a few days he will be destroyed, though not in anger or in battle.
For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied
fenced cities: but I will
send a fire upon his cities, and it shall
devour the palaces thereof.
Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces; Judah has multiplied its fortified cities. But I will
send fire upon their cities, and it will
consume their citadels.
Sow to
yourselves in righteousness,
reap in mercy; break up your
fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
Sow for
yourselves righteousness and
reap the fruit of loving devotion; break up your
unplowed ground. For it is time to seek the LORD until He comes and
sends righteousness upon you like rain.
Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and
desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.
Ephraim chases the wind and pursues the east wind all day long; he multiplies lies and violence; he makes a covenant with Assyria and sends olive oil to Egypt.
And
rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is
gracious and
merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
So
rend your hearts and not your garments, and return to the LORD your God. For He is
gracious and
compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion. And He relents from
sending disaster.
Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will
send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied
therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:
And the LORD answered His people: “Behold, I will send you grain, new wine, and oil, and by them you will be satisfied. I will never again make you a reproach among the nations.
Be
glad then, ye children of
Zion, and
rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
Be
glad, O children of
Zion, and
rejoice in the LORD your God, for He has given you the autumn rains for your
vindication. He
sends you showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.
The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.
You sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks, to send them far from their homeland.
But I will
send a fire into the house of
Hazael, which shall
devour the palaces of Ben-
hadad.
But I will
send a fire on the wall of
Gaza, which shall
devour the palaces thereof:
So I will
send fire upon the walls of
Gaza, to
consume its citadels.
But I will
send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall
devour the palaces thereof.
So I will
send fire upon the walls of Tyre to
consume its citadels.”
But I will
send a fire upon Teman, which shall
devour the palaces of
Bozrah.
So I will
send fire upon Teman to
consume the citadels of
Bozrah.”
But I will
send a fire upon Moab, and it shall
devour the palaces of Kirioth: and Moab shall die with
tumult, with
shouting, and with the sound of the
trumpet:
So I will
send fire against Moab to
consume the citadels of Kerioth. Moab will die in
tumult, amid war
cries and the sound of the ram’s horn.
But I will
send a fire upon Judah, and it shall
devour the palaces of Jerusalem.
So I will
send fire upon Judah to
consume the citadels of Jerusalem.”
Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the LORD, whose name is The God of hosts.
Therefore I will send you into exile beyond Damascus,” says the LORD, whose name is the God of Hosts.
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will
send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a
thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord GOD, when I will
send a famine on the land— not a famine of bread or a
thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the words of the LORD.
And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto
Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a
gracious God, and
merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.
So he prayed to the LORD, saying, “O LORD, is this not what I said while I was still in my own country? This is why I was so quick to
flee toward
Tarshish. I knew that You are a
gracious and
compassionate God, slow to anger, abounding in loving devotion—One who relents from
sending disaster.
Therefore shalt thou give presents to Moresheth-
gath: the houses of
Achzib shall be a lie to the kings of Israel.
Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will burn her
chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall
devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
“Behold, I am against you,” declares the LORD of Hosts. “I will
send your
chariots up in smoke, and the sword will
devour your young lions. I will cut off your prey from the earth, and the voices of your messengers will no longer be heard.”
I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the
thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall
consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.
I will
send it out, declares the LORD of Hosts, and it will enter the house of the
thief and the house of him who swears falsely by My name. It will remain inside his house and destroy it, down to its timbers and stones.”
If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even
send a
curse upon you, and I will
curse your blessings:
yea, I have
cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
If you do not
listen, and if you do not take it to heart to honor My name,” says the LORD of Hosts, “I will
send a
curse among you, and I will
curse your blessings.
Yes, I have already begun to
curse them, because you are not taking it to heart.
Behold, I will
send my
messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the
messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
“Behold, I will
send My
messenger, who will prepare the way before Me. Then the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to His temple—the
Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight—see, He is coming,” says the LORD of Hosts.
Behold, I will
send you
Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and
dreadful day of the LORD:
Behold, I will
send you
Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and
awesome Day of the LORD.
And he sent them to
Bethlehem, and said, Go and search
diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
And
sending them to
Bethlehem, he said: “Go and search carefully for the Child, and when you find Him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship Him.”
Then Herod, when he saw that he was
mocked of the wise men, was exceeding
wroth, and sent forth, and
slew all the children that were in
Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had
diligently enquired of the wise men.
When Herod saw that he had been outwitted by the
Magi, he was filled with
rage.
Sending orders, he put to death all the boys in
Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, according to the time he had learned from the
Magi.
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
So the devils
besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the
herd of
swine.
So the demons
begged Jesus, “If You drive us out,
send us into the
herd of pigs.”
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest.”
Behold, I
send you forth as sheep in the midst of
wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and
harmless as doves.
Behold, I am
sending you out like sheep among
wolves; therefore be as
shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I
send my
messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
This is the one about whom it is written: ‘Behold, I will
send My
messenger ahead of You, who will prepare Your way before You.’
A
bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not
quench, till he
send forth judgment unto victory.
The Son of man shall
send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that
offend, and them which do iniquity;
The Son of Man will
send out His angels, and they will
weed out of His kingdom every cause of sin and all who practice
lawlessness.
And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past;
send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and
buy themselves
victuals.
When evening came, the disciples came to Him and said, “This is a
desolate place, and the hour is already late. Dismiss the crowds so they can go to the villages and
buy themselves some food.”
But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and
besought him, saying,
Send her away; for she crieth after us.
But Jesus did not answer a word. So His disciples came and urged Him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.”
Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have
compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not
send them away fasting, lest they
faint in the way.
Then Jesus called His disciples to Him and said, “I have
compassion for this crowd, because they have already been with Me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to
send them away
hungry, or they may
faint along the way.”
They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of
divorcement, and to put her away?
“Why then,” they asked, “did Moses order a man to give his wife a
certificate of
divorce and
send her away?”
And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and
straightway he will
send them.
If
anyone questions you, tell him that the Lord needs them, and he will
send them right away.”
Wherefore, behold, I
send unto you prophets, and wise men, and
scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and
crucify; and some of them shall ye
scourge in your synagogues, and
persecute them from city to city:
Because of this, I am
sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and
crucify, and others you will
flog in your synagogues and
persecute in town after town.
And he shall
send his angels with a great sound of a
trumpet, and they shall gather together his
elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
And He will
send out His angels with a loud
trumpet call, and they will gather His
elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I
send my
messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
As it is written in Isaiah the prophet: “Behold, I will
send My
messenger ahead of You, who will prepare Your way.”
And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might
send them forth to
preach,
He appointed twelve of them, whom He designated as apostles, to
accompany Him, to be sent out to
preach,
And he
besought him much that he would not
send them away out of the country.
And he
begged Jesus repeatedly not to
send them out of that region.
And all the devils
besought him, saying,
Send us into the
swine, that we may enter into them.
So the demons
begged Jesus, “
Send us to the pigs, so that we may enter them.”
And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;
Then Jesus called the Twelve to Him and began to send them out two by two, giving them authority over unclean spirits.
Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and
buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
Dismiss the crowd so they can go to the surrounding
countryside and villages and
buy themselves something to eat.”
And if I
send them away fasting to their own houses, they will
faint by the way: for
divers of them came from far.
If I
send them home
hungry, they will
faint along the way. For some of them have come a great distance.”
And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of
divorcement, and to put her away.

certificate of
divorce and
send her away.”
And when they came
nigh to Jerusalem, unto
Bethphage and
Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he
sendeth forth two of his disciples,
As they approached Jerusalem and came to
Bethphage and
Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent out two of His disciples
And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and
straightway he will
send him
hither.
If
anyone asks, ‘Why are you doing this?’ tell him, ‘The Lord needs it and will return it shortly.’”
And they
send unto him certain of the
Pharisees and of the
Herodians, to catch him in his words.
And then shall he
send his angels, and shall gather together his
elect from the four winds, from the
uttermost part of the earth to the
uttermost part of heaven.
And He will
send out the angels to gather His
elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.
And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.
So He sent two of His disciples and told them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a
jug of water will meet you. Follow him,
This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I
send my
messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
This is the one about whom it is written: ‘Behold, I will
send My
messenger ahead of You, who will prepare Your way before You.’
And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him,
Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and
lodge, and get
victuals: for we are here in a desert place.
As the day neared its end, the Twelve came to Jesus and said, “Dismiss the crowd so they can go to the surrounding villages and
countryside for
lodging and provisions. For we are in a
desolate place here.”
Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
And He told them, “The harvest is
plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to

Go your ways: behold, I

wolves.
Go! I am
sending you out like lambs among
wolves.
Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will
send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall
slay and
persecute:
Because of this, the wisdom of God said, ‘I will
send them prophets and apostles; some of them they will kill and others they will
persecute.’
