Then there went certain, and told David how
the men were served. And he sent to meet
them: for
the men were greatly
ashamed. And
the king said,
Tarry at
Jericho until your beards be grown, and
then return.
When someone came and told David about his men, he sent messengers to meet
them, since
the men had been thoroughly
humiliated.
The king told
them, “Stay in
Jericho until your beards have grown back, and
then return.”
And when
the children of
Ammon saw that
they had made
themselves odious to David, Hanun and
the children of
Ammon sent a thousand talents of silver to
hire them chariots and
horsemen out of
Mesopotamia, and out of Syria-maachah, and out of Zobah.
So
they hired thirty and two thousand
chariots, and
the king of Maachah and his people; who came and pitched before Medeba. And
the children of
Ammon gathered
themselves together from
their cities, and came to battle.
So
they hired for
themselves thirty-two thousand
chariots, as well as
the king of
Maacah with his troops, who came and camped near Medeba while
the Ammonites came from
their cities and marched out for battle.
And when David heard of it, he sent
Joab, and all
the host of
the mighty men.
On hearing this, David sent
Joab and
the entire army of mighty men.
And
the children of
Ammon came out, and put
the battle in
array before
the gate of
the city: and
the kings that were come were by
themselves in
the field.
The Ammonites marched out and
arrayed themselves for battle at
the entrance to
the city, while
the kings who had come stayed by
themselves in
the open country.
Now when
Joab saw that
the battle was set against him before and behind, he chose out of all
the choice of Israel, and put
them in
array against
the Syrians.
When
Joab saw
the battle lines before him and behind him, he selected some of
the best men of Israel and
arrayed them against
the Arameans.
And
the rest of
the people he delivered unto
the hand of
Abishai his brother, and
they set
themselves in
array against
the children of
Ammon.
And he placed
the rest of
the forces under
the command of his brother
Abishai, who
arrayed them against
the Ammonites.
And he said, If
the Syrians be too strong for me,
then thou shalt help me: but if
the children of
Ammon be too strong for
thee,
then I will help
thee.
“If
the Arameans are too strong for me,” said
Joab, “
then you will come to my
rescue. And if
the Ammonites are too strong for you,
then I will come to your
rescue.
Be of good courage, and let us
behave ourselves
valiantly for our people, and for
the cities of our God: and let
the LORD do that which is good in his sight.
Be strong and let us fight
bravely for our people and for
the cities of our God. May
the LORD do what is good in His sight.”
So
Joab and
the people that were with him drew
nigh before
the Syrians unto
the battle; and
they fled before him.
So
Joab and his troops advanced to fight
the Arameans, who fled before him.
And when
the children of
Ammon saw that
the Syrians were fled,
they likewise fled before
Abishai his brother, and entered into
the city.
Then Joab came to Jerusalem.
When
the Ammonites saw that
the Arameans had fled,
they too fled before
Joab’s brother
Abishai, and
they entered
the city. So
Joab went back to Jerusalem.
And when the Syrians saw that they were put to the worse before Israel, they sent messengers, and drew forth the Syrians that were beyond the river: and Shophach the captain of the host of Hadarezer went before them.
When the Arameans saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they sent messengers to bring more Arameans from beyond the Euphrates, with Shophach the commander of Hadadezer’s army leading them.
And it was told David; and he gathered all Israel, and passed over Jordan, and came upon
them, and set
the battle in
array against
them. So when David had put
the battle in
array against
the Syrians,
they fought with him.
When this was reported to David, he gathered all Israel, crossed
the Jordan, advanced toward
the Arameans, and
arrayed for battle against
them. When David lined up to
engage them in battle,
they fought against him.
But
the Syrians fled before Israel; and David
slew of
the Syrians seven thousand men which fought in
chariots, and forty thousand
footmen, and killed Shophach
the captain of
the host.
But the Arameans fled before Israel, and David killed seven thousand of their charioteers and forty thousand foot soldiers. He also killed Shophach the commander of their army.
And when
the servants of Hadarezer saw that
they were put to
the worse before Israel,
they made peace with David, and became his servants: neither would
the Syrians help
the children of
Ammon any more.
When Hadadezer’s subjects saw that
they had been defeated by Israel,
they made peace with David and became subject to him. So
the Arameans were unwilling to help
the Ammonites anymore.
And it came to pass, that after
the year was
expired, at
the time that kings go out to battle,
Joab led forth
the power of
the army, and wasted
the country of
the children of
Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David
tarried at Jerusalem. And
Joab smote Rabbah, and destroyed it.
In
the spring, at
the time when kings march out to war,
Joab led out
the army and
ravaged the land of
the Ammonites. He came to Rabbah and besieged it, but David remained in Jerusalem. And
Joab attacked Rabbah and
demolished it.
And David took
the crown of
their king from off his head, and found it to
weigh a talent of gold, and
there were precious stones in it; and it was set upon David’s head: and he brought also exceeding much
spoil out of
the city.
Then David took
the crown from
the head of
their king. It was found to
weigh a talent of gold and was set with precious stones, and it was placed on David’s head. And David took a great amount of
plunder from
the city.
And he brought out
the people that were in it, and cut
them with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes. Even so dealt David with all
the cities of
the children of
Ammon. And David and all
the people returned to Jerusalem.
David brought out
the people who were
there and put
them to work with saws, iron picks, and axes. And he did
the same to all
the Ammonite cities.
Then David and all his troops returned to Jerusalem.
And it came to pass after this, that
there arose war at
Gezer with
the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai
the Hushathite
slew Sippai, that was of
the children of
the giant: and
they were subdued.
Some time later, war broke out with
the Philistines at
Gezer. At that time Sibbecai
the Hushathite killed Sippai, a
descendant of
the Rephaim, and
the Philistines were subdued.
And
there was war again with
the Philistines; and Elhanan
the son of
Jair slew Lahmi
the brother of
Goliath the Gittite, whose
spear staff was like a
weaver’s beam.
Once again
there was a battle with
the Philistines, and Elhanan son of
Jair killed Lahmi
the brother of
Goliath the Gittite,
the shaft of whose
spear was like a
weaver’s beam.
And yet again
there was war at
Gath, where was a man of great
stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was
the son of
the giant.
And
there was still another battle at
Gath, where
there was a man of great
stature with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot—twenty-four in all. He too was descended from Rapha,
and when he
taunted Israel,
Jonathan the son of David’s brother Shimei killed him.
These were born unto
the giant in
Gath; and
they fell by
the hand of David, and by
the hand of his servants.
So
these descendants of Rapha in
Gath fell at
the hands of David and his servants.
And
Satan stood up against Israel, and
provoked David to number Israel.
Then Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census of Israel.
And David said to
Joab and to
the rulers of
the people, Go, number Israel from Beer-
sheba even to
Dan; and bring
the number of
them to me, that I may know it.
So David said to
Joab and
the commanders of
the troops, “Go and count
the Israelites from
Beersheba to
Dan and bring me a report, so that I may know
their number.”
And
Joab answered,
The LORD make his people an hundred times so many more as
they be: but, my lord
the king, are
they not all my lord’s servants? why
then doth my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of
trespass to Israel?
But
Joab replied, “May
the LORD multiply His troops a hundred times over. My lord
the king, are
they not all servants of my lord? Why does my lord want to do this? Why should he bring guilt on Israel?”
Nevertheless
the king’s word prevailed against
Joab. Wherefore
Joab departed, and went throughout all Israel, and came to Jerusalem.
Nevertheless,
the king’s word prevailed against
Joab. So
Joab departed and traveled throughout Israel, and
then he returned to Jerusalem.
And
Joab gave
the sum of
the number of
the people unto David. And all
they of Israel were a thousand thousand and an hundred thousand men that drew sword: and Judah was four hundred
threescore and ten thousand men that drew sword.
And
Joab reported to David
the total number of
the troops. In all Israel
there were 1,100,000 men who drew
the sword, including 470,000 in Judah.
But Levi and Benjamin counted he not among
them: for
the king’s word was
abominable to
Joab.
But
Joab did not include Levi and Benjamin in
the count, because
the king’s command was
detestable to him.
And God was displeased with this thing;
therefore he
smote Israel.
This command was also evil in the sight of God; so He struck Israel.
And David said unto God, I have
sinned greatly, because I have done this thing: but now, I
beseech thee, do away
the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very
foolishly.
Then David said to God, “I have
sinned greatly because I have done this thing. Now I
beg You to take away
the iniquity of Your servant, for I have acted very
foolishly.”
And
the LORD spake unto
Gad, David’s
seer, saying,
Go and tell David, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things: choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.
“Go and tell David that this is what the LORD says: ‘I am offering you three options. Choose one of them, and I will carry it out against you.’”
So
Gad came to David, and said unto him, Thus saith
the LORD, Choose
theeSo
Gad went and said to David, “This is what
the LORD says: ‘You must choose
Either three years’ famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that
the sword of thine enemies overtaketh
thee; or else three days
the sword of
the LORD, even
the pestilence, in
the land, and
the angel of
the LORD destroying throughout all
the coasts of Israel. Now
therefore advise thyself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me.
between three years of famine, three months of being swept away before your enemies and overtaken by
their swords, or three days of
the sword of
the LORD—days of plague upon
the land, with
the angel of
the LORD
ravaging every part of Israel.’ Now
then, decide how I should reply to Him who sent me.”
And David said unto
Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into
the hand of
the LORD; for very great are his
mercies: but let me not fall into
the hand of man.
David answered
Gad, “I am deeply distressed. Please, let me fall into
the hand of
the LORD, for His
mercies are very great; but do not let me fall into
the hands of men.”
So
the LORD sent
pestilence upon Israel: and
there fell of Israel seventy thousand men.
So the LORD sent a plague upon Israel, and seventy thousand men of Israel fell dead.
And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying,
the LORD
beheld, and he
repented him of
the evil, and said to
the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And
the angel of
the LORD stood by
the threshingfloor of Ornan
the Jebusite.
Then God sent an angel to destroy Jerusalem, but as
the angel was doing so,
the LORD saw it and relented from
the calamity, and He said to
the angel who was destroying
the people, “Enough! Withdraw your hand now!” At that time
the angel of
the LORD was standing by
the threshing floor of Ornan
the Jebusite.
And David lifted up his eyes, and saw
the angel of
the LORD stand between
the earth and
the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem.
Then David and
the elders of Israel, who were clothed in
sackcloth, fell upon
their faces.
When David lifted up his eyes and saw
the angel of
the LORD standing between heaven and earth, with a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem, David and
the elders, clothed in
sackcloth, fell facedown.
And David said unto God, Is it not I that commanded
the people to be numbered? even I it is that have
sinned and done evil indeed; but as for
these sheep, what have
they done? let thine hand, I pray
thee, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father’s house; but not on thy people, that
they should be plagued.
And David said to God, “Was it not I who gave
the order to count
the people? I am
the one who has
sinned and acted wickedly. But
these sheep, what have
they done? O LORD my God, please let Your hand fall upon me and my father’s house, but do not let this plague remain upon Your people.”
Then the angel of
the LORD commanded
Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up an altar unto
the LORD in
the threshingfloor of Ornan
the Jebusite.
Then the angel of
the LORD ordered
Gad to tell David to go up and build an altar to
the LORD on
the threshing floor of Ornan
the Jebusite.
And David went up at
the saying of
Gad, which he spake in
the name of
the LORD.
So David went up at
the word that
Gad had spoken in
the name of
the LORD.
And Ornan turned back, and saw
the angel; and his four sons with him
hid themselves. Now Ornan was
threshing wheat.
Now Ornan was
threshing wheat when he turned and saw
the angel; and his four sons who were with him
hid themselves.
And as David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David, and went out of the threshingfloor, and bowed himself to David with his face to the ground.
David came to Ornan, and when Ornan looked out and saw David, he left
the threshing floor and bowed facedown before David.
Then David said to Ornan, Grant me the place of this threshingfloor, that I may build an altar therein unto the LORD: thou shalt grant it me for the full price: that the plague may be stayed from the people.
Then David said to Ornan, “Grant me
the site of this
threshing floor, that I may build an altar to
the LORD. Sell it to me for
the full price, so that
the plague upon
the people may be
halted.”
And Ornan said unto David, Take it to
thee, and let my lord
the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give
thee the oxen also for burnt offerings, and
the threshing instruments for wood, and
the wheat for
the meat offering; I give it all.
Ornan said to David, “My lord
the king may take whatever seems good. Look, I will give
the oxen for
the burnt offerings,
the threshing sledges for
the wood, and
the wheat for
the grain offering—I will give it all.”
And king David said to Ornan,
Nay; but I will
verily buy it for
the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for
the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings without cost.
“No,” replied King David, “I
insist on paying
the full price, for I will not take for
the LORD what belongs to you, nor will I offer burnt offerings that cost me nothing.”
So David gave to Ornan for the place six hundred shekels of gold by weight.
So David paid Ornan six hundred shekels of gold for the site.
And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering.
And there he built an altar to the LORD and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. He called upon the LORD, who answered him with fire from heaven on the altar of burnt offering.
And
the LORD commanded
the angel; and he put up his sword again into
the sheath thereof.
Then the LORD spoke to
the angel, who put his sword back into its
sheath.
At that time when David saw that the LORD had answered him in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite, then he sacrificed there.
At that time, when David saw that
the LORD had answered him at
the threshing floor of Ornan
the Jebusite, he offered sacrifices
there.
For
the tabernacle of
the LORD, which Moses made in
the wilderness, and
the altar of
the burnt offering, were at that season in
the high place at
Gibeon.
For
the tabernacle of
the LORD that Moses had made in
the wilderness and
the altar of burnt offering were presently at
the high place in
Gibeon,
But David could not go before it to
enquire of God: for he was afraid because of
the sword of
the angel of
the LORD.
but David could not go before it to inquire of God, because he was afraid of the sword of the angel of the LORD.
Then David said, This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.
Then David said, “Here shall be the house of the LORD God, as well as the altar of burnt offering for Israel.”
And David commanded to gather together
the strangers that were in
the land of Israel; and he set masons to
hew wrought stones to build
the house of God.
So David gave orders to gather the foreigners in the land of Israel, from whom he appointed stonecutters to prepare finished stones for building the house of God.
And David prepared iron in abundance for
the nails for
the doors of
the gates, and for
the joinings; and brass in abundance without weight;
David provided a large quantity of iron to make
the nails for
the doors of
the gateways and for
the fittings, together with more bronze than could be
weighed Also
cedar trees in abundance: for
the Zidonians and
they of Tyre brought much
cedar wood to David.
and more
cedar logs than could be counted; for
the Sidonians and Tyrians had brought a large quantity of
cedar logs to David.
And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and
the house that is to be builded for
the LORD must be exceeding
magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will
therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.
And David said, “My son Solomon is young and inexperienced, and
the house to be built for
the LORD must be exceedingly magnificent—famous and glorious throughout all lands.
Therefore I must make preparations for it.” So David made
lavish preparations before his death.
Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build an house for the LORD God of Israel.
Then David called for his son Solomon and
instructed him to build a house for
the LORD,
the God of Israel.
And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God:
“My son,” said David to Solomon, “it was in my heart to build a house for the Name of the LORD my God,
But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.
but this word of
the LORD came to me: ‘You have shed much blood and
waged great wars. You are not to build a house for My Name because you have shed so much blood on
the ground before Me.
Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.
But a son will be born to you who will be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side; for his name will be Solomon, and I will grant to Israel peace and quiet during his reign.
He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.
He is
the one who will build a house for My Name. He will be My son, and I will be his Father. And I will establish
the throne of his kingdom over Israel
forever.’
Now, my son,
the LORD be with
thee; and
prosper thou, and build
the house of
the LORD thy God, as he hath said of
thee.
Now, my son, may the LORD be with you, and may you succeed in building the house of the LORD your God, as He said you would.
Only the LORD give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the LORD thy God.
Above all, may the LORD give you insight and understanding when He puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the Law of the LORD your God.
Then shalt thou
prosper, if thou takest
heed to fulfil
the statutes and judgments which
the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage;
dread not, nor be dismayed.
Then you will succeed, if you carefully follow
the statutes and ordinances that
the LORD commanded Moses for Israel. Be strong and
courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged.
Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for
the house of
the LORD an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add
thereto.
Now behold, I have taken great pains to provide for
the house of
the LORD—100,000 talents of gold, 1,000,000 talents of silver, and bronze and iron too great to be
weighed. I have also provided timber and stone, and you may add to
them.
Moreover
there are workmen with
thee in abundance, hewers and workers of stone and timber, and all manner of
cunning men for every manner of work.
You also have many workers: stonecutters, masons, carpenters, and men skilled in every kind of work—
Of the gold, the silver, and the brass, and the iron, there is no number. Arise therefore, and be doing, and the LORD be with thee.
in gold and silver, bronze and iron—
craftsmen beyond number. Now begin
the work, and may
the LORD be with you.”
David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,
Then David ordered all the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon:
Is not the LORD your God with you? and hath he not given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his people.
“Is not the LORD your God with you, and has He not granted you rest on every side? For He has given the inhabitants of the land into my hand, and the land has been subdued before the LORD and His people.
Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise therefore, and build ye the sanctuary of the LORD God, to bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of the LORD.
Now set your heart and soul to seek the LORD your God. Get started building the sanctuary of the LORD God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD and the holy articles of God into the temple that will be built for the Name of the LORD.”
And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the priests and the Levites.
Then he gathered all the leaders of Israel, as well as the priests and Levites.
Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and upward: and their number by their polls, man by man, was thirty and eight thousand.
The Levites thirty years of age or older were counted, and the total number of men was 38,000.
Of which, twenty and four thousand were to set forward the work of the house of the LORD; and six thousand were officers and judges:
“Of these,” said David, “24,000 are to oversee the work of the house of the LORD, 6,000 are to be officers and judges,
Moreover four thousand were
porters; and four thousand praised
the LORD with
the instruments which I made, said David, to praise
therewith.
4,000 are to be gatekeepers, and 4,000 are to praise the LORD with the instruments I have made for giving praise.”
And David divided
them into courses among
the sons of Levi, namely, Gershon,
Kohath, and Merari.
Then David divided
the Levites into divisions according to
the sons of Levi: Gershom,
Kohath, and Merari.
Of the Gershonites were, Laadan, and Shimei.
The Gershonites: Ladan and Shimei.
The sons of Laadan;
the chief was Jehiel, and Zetham, and
Joel, three.
The sons of Ladan: Jehiel
the first, Zetham, and
Joel—three in all.
The sons of Shimei; Shelomith, and Haziel, and
Haran, three.
These were
the chief of
the fathers of Laadan.
The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth, Haziel, and
Haran—three in all.
These were
the heads of
the families of Ladan.
And the sons of Shimei were, Jahath, Zina, and Jeush, and Beriah. These four were the sons of Shimei.
And the sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina, Jeush, and Beriah. These were the sons of Shimei—four in all.
And Jahath was
the chief, and Zizah
the second: but Jeush and Beriah had not many sons;
therefore they were in one
reckoning, according to
their father’s house.
Jahath was
the first and Zizah was
the second; but Jeush and Beriah did not have many sons, so
they were counted as one family and received a single
assignment.
The sons of
Kohath: Amram, Izhar,
Hebron, and Uzziel—four in all.
The sons of Amram; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated, that he should
sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before
the LORD, to minister unto him, and to
bless in his name for ever.
The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. Aaron and his descendants were set apart
forever to
consecrate the most holy things, to burn incense before
the LORD, to minister before Him, and to
pronounce blessings in His name
forever.
Now concerning Moses the man of God, his sons were named of the tribe of Levi.
As for Moses the man of God, his sons were named among the tribe of Levi.
The sons of Moses were, Gershom, and
Eliezer.
The sons of Moses: Gershom and
Eliezer.
Of the sons of Gershom, Shebuel was the chief.
The descendants of Gershom: Shebuel was the first.
And
the sons of
Eliezer were, Rehabiah
the chief. And
Eliezer had none other sons; but
the sons of Rehabiah were very many.
The descendants of
Eliezer: Rehabiah was
the first.
Eliezer did not have any other sons, but
the sons of Rehabiah were very numerous.
Of the sons of Izhar; Shelomith the chief.
The sons of Izhar: Shelomith was the first.
Of
the sons of
Hebron; Jeriah
the first, Amariah
the second, Jahaziel
the third, and Jekameam
the fourth.
The sons of
Hebron: Jeriah was
the first, Amariah
the second, Jahaziel
the third, and Jekameam
the fourth.
Of
the sons of Uzziel;
Micah the first, and Jesiah
the second.
The sons of Uzziel:
Micah was
the first and Isshiah
the second.
The sons of Merari; Mahli, and Mushi.
The sons of Mahli;
Eleazar, and
Kish.
The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi.
And
Eleazar died, and had no sons, but daughters: and
their brethren
the sons of
Kish took
them.
The sons of Mahli:
Eleazar and
Kish.
Eleazar died without having any sons; he had only daughters.
Their cousins,
the sons of
Kish, married
them.
The sons of Mushi; Mahli, and Eder, and Jeremoth, three.
The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jeremoth—three in all.
These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work for the service of the house of the LORD, from the age of twenty years and upward.
These were the descendants of Levi by their families—the heads of families, registered individually by name—those twenty years of age or older who worked in the service of the house of the LORD.
For David said, The LORD God of Israel hath given rest unto his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever:
For David had said, “
The LORD,
the God of Israel, has given rest to His people and has come to dwell in Jerusalem
forever.

Because
their office was to wait on
the sons of Aaron for
the service of
the house of
the LORD, in
the courts, and in
the chambers, and in
the purifying of all holy things, and
the work of
the service of
the house of God;

their duty was to assist
the descendants of Aaron with
the service of
the house of
the LORD, being responsible for
the courts and chambers,
the purification of all
the holy things, and
the work of
the service of
the house of God,
Both for
the shewbread, and for
the fine flour for meat offering, and for
the unleavened cakes, and for that which is
baked in
the pan, and for that which is
fried, and for all manner of measure and size;
