O LORD, I have heard the report of You; I stand in
awe, O LORD, of Your deeds. Revive them in these years; make them known in these years. In Your
wrath, remember mercy!
Was the LORD displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy
wrath against the sea, that thou
didst ride upon thine horses and thy
chariots of salvation?
Were You
angry at the rivers, O LORD? Was Your
wrath against the streams? Did You
rage against the sea when You
rode on Your horses, on Your
chariots of salvation?
You marched across the earth with
fury; You
threshed the nations in
wrath.

wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and

wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of destruction and
desolation, a day of darkness and
gloom, a day of clouds and blackness,

wrath; but the whole land shall be
devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a

adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great
wrath from the LORD of hosts.

listen to the law or to the words that the LORD of Hosts had sent by His Spirit through the earlier prophets. Therefore great anger came from the LORD of Hosts.

punish you, when your fathers
provoked me to

disaster upon you when your fathers
provoked Me to anger, and I did not relent,” says the LORD of Hosts,
But when he saw many of the
Pharisees and
Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath
warned you to
flee from the
wrath to come?
But when John saw many of the
Pharisees and
Sadducees coming to his place of baptism, he said to them, “You
brood of vipers, who
warned you to
flee from the coming
wrath?
Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be
baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath
warned you to
flee from the
wrath to come?
Then John said to the crowds coming out to be
baptized by him, “You
brood of vipers, who
warned you to
flee from the coming
wrath?

synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with

nursing mothers! For there will be great distress upon the land and
wrath against this people.

wrath of God remains on him.”

wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the
godlessness and wickedness of men who
suppress the truth by their wickedness.
But after thy hardness and
impenitent heart treasurest up unto
thyself wrath against the day of
wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
But because of your hard and
unrepentant heart, you are storing up
wrath against
yourself for the day of
wrath, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.
But unto them that are
contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness,
indignation and
wrath,

But if our unrighteousness
commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh
vengeance? (I speak as a man)
But if our unrighteousness highlights the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unjust to
inflict His
wrath on us? I am speaking in human terms.

wrath: for where no law is, there is no

shew his
wrath, and to make his power known,
endured with much
longsuffering the vessels of
wrath fitted to destruction:
What if God, intending to show His
wrath and make His power known, bore with great
patience the vessels of His
wrath, prepared for destruction?

avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s

revenger to
execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
For he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not carry the sword in vain. He is God’s servant, an agent of
retribution to the
wrongdoer.
Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
For I am afraid that when I come, I may not find you as I wish, and you may not find me as you wish. I fear that there may be quarreling, jealousy,
rage,
rivalry,
slander,
gossip,
arrogance, and disorder.
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh,
fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of
wrath, even as others.
All of us also lived among them at one time,
fulfilling the cravings of our flesh and
indulging its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature children of
wrath.
Be ye
angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your
wrath:
“Be
angry, yet do not sin.” Do not let the sun set upon your anger,
Let all bitterness, and
wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all
malice:
Get rid of all bitterness,
rage and anger, outcry and
slander, along with every form of
malice.
Let no man
deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the
wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the
wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.
Fathers, do not
provoke your children to
wrath; instead, bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
Because of these, the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience.
But now ye also put off all these; anger,
wrath,
malice,
blasphemy,
filthy communication out of your mouth.
But now you must put aside all such things as these: anger,
rage,
malice,
slander, and
filthy language from your lips.

sware in my
wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
So I
swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’”
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have
sworn in my
wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said: “So I
swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’” And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the world.

angry, and thy
wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

enraged, and Your
wrath has come. The time has come to judge the dead and to reward Your servants the prophets, as well as the saints and those who fear Your name, both small and great— and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”
Therefore
rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them.

woe to the earth and the sea; with great
fury the devil has come down to you, knowing he has only a short time.”
And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the

The same shall drink of the wine of the
wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his
indignation; and he shall be
tormented with fire and
brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

wrath. And he will be
tormented in fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb.

wrath.

wrath.”
And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in
remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his
wrath.

collapsed. And God remembered Babylon the great and gave her the cup of the wine of the
fury of His
wrath.
For all nations have
drunk of the wine of the
wrath of her
fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed
fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her
delicacies.
All the nations have
drunk the wine of the passion of her immorality. The kings of the earth were immoral with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown wealthy from the
extravagance of her
luxury.”

scepter. He treads the winepress of the
fury of the
wrath of God the
Almighty.

provoked God unto
wrath, and

stirred to cause fear toward the east and west wind, shall be destroyed.

wrath: for they have purposed to
