fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the

quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

wrath will break out like fire and burn with no one to
extinguish it, because of your evil deeds.”

fury of the LORD; I am
weary with holding in: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together: for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him that is full of days.

wrath; I am
tired of holding it back. “Pour it out on the children in the street, and on the young men gathered together. For both husband and wife will be captured, the old and the very old alike.
Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a

forsaken the generation of His
wrath.’

wrath, and the nations cannot
endure His
indignation.
Pour out thy
fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name: for they have eaten up Jacob, and
devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his
habitation desolate.

wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge You, and on the families that do not call on Your name. For they have
devoured Jacob; they have consumed him and finished him off; they have
devastated his homeland.

recompensed for good? for they have
digged a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before thee to speak good for them, and to turn away thy
wrath from them.

wrath from them.

fury, and in great
wrath.

O house of David, thus saith the LORD;
Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is
spoiled out of the hand of the
oppressor, lest my
fury go out like fire, and burn that none can
quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
O house of David, this is what the LORD says: ‘
Administer justice every morning, and
rescue the
victim of
robbery from the hand of his
oppressor, or My
wrath will go forth like fire and burn with no one to
extinguish it because of their evil deeds.
For thus saith the LORD God of Israel unto me; Take the wine cup of this
fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.

For this city hath been to me as a
provocation of mine anger and of my
fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face,

wrath and
fury from the day it was built until now. Therefore I will remove it from My presence

whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my
fury, and in great
wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

wrath, and I will return them to this place and make them dwell in safety.
They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my
fury, and for all whose wickedness I have

For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my
fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my
fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and ye shall be an
execration, and an
astonishment, and a
curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.
For this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘Just as My anger and
wrath were poured out on the residents of Jerusalem, so will My
wrath be poured out on you if you go to Egypt. You will become an object of
cursing and
horror, of
vilification and disgrace, and you will never see this place again.’
Wherefore my
fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was
kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and
desolate, as at this day.
Therefore My
wrath and anger poured out and burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, so that they have become the
desolate ruin they are
today.
In that ye
provoke me unto
wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt,
whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye might cut
yourselves off, and that ye might be a
curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?
Why are you
provoking Me to anger by the work of your hands by burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, where you have gone to reside? As a result, you will be cut off and will become an object of
cursing and reproach among all the nations of the earth.
I know his wrath, saith the LORD; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not so effect it.
Because of the
wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly
desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be
astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.
Because of the
wrath of the LORD, she will not be inhabited; she will become completely
desolate. All who pass through Babylon will be
horrified and will hiss at all her wounds.
The LORD hath opened his armoury, and hath brought forth the weapons of his
indignation: for this is the work of the Lord GOD of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.
The LORD has opened His
armory and brought out His weapons of
wrath, for this is the work of the Lord GOD of Hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.
The Lord hath
swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and hath not
pitied: he hath thrown down in his
wrath the strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he hath brought them down to the ground: he hath
polluted the kingdom and the princes thereof.
Without
pity the Lord has
swallowed up all the dwellings of Jacob. In His
wrath He has
demolished the fortified cities of the Daughter of Judah. He brought to the ground and
defiled her kingdom and its princes.
He hath bent his bow like an enemy: he stood with his right hand as an
adversary, and
slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of
Zion: he poured out his
fury like fire.
He has bent His bow like an enemy; His right hand is positioned. Like a
foe He has killed all who were pleasing to the eye; He has poured out His
wrath like fire on the tent of the Daughter of
Zion.
I am the man that hath seen
affliction by the rod of his
wrath.
I am the man who has seen
affliction under the rod of God’s
wrath.
The LORD hath accomplished his
fury; he hath poured out his fierce anger, and hath
kindled a fire in
Zion, and it hath
devoured the foundations thereof.
The LORD has exhausted His
wrath; He has poured out His fierce anger; He has
kindled a fire in
Zion, and it has consumed her foundations.
Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my
fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my
fury in them.
And when My anger is spent and I have
vented My
wrath against them, I will be
appeased. And when I have spent My
wrath on them, they will know that I, the LORD, in My zeal have spoken.
So it shall be a reproach and a
taunt, an instruction and an
astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall
execute judgments in thee in anger and in
fury and in
furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.
So you will be a reproach and a
taunt, a
warning and a
horror to the nations around you, when I
execute judgments against you in anger,
wrath, and
raging fury. I, the LORD, have spoken.
Now will I shortly pour out my
fury upon thee, and
accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will
recompense thee for all thine abominations.
Very soon I will pour out My
wrath upon you and
vent My anger against you; I will judge you according to your ways and repay you for all your abominations.
The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the
buyer rejoice, nor the seller
mourn: for
wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
The time has come; the day has arrived. Let the
buyer not
rejoice and the seller not
mourn, for
wrath is upon the whole multitude.
They have
blown the
trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my
wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
They have
blown the
trumpet and made everything ready, but no one goes to war, for My
wrath is upon the whole multitude.
They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the
wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their
bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.
They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will seem unclean. Their silver and gold cannot save them in the day of the
wrath of the LORD. They cannot satisfy their appetites or fill their stomachs with wealth, for it became the
stumbling block that brought their iniquity.
Therefore will I also deal in
fury: mine eye shall not
spare, neither will I have
pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
Therefore I will
respond with
wrath. I will not look on them with
pity, nor will I
spare them. Although they
shout loudly in My ears, I will not
listen to them.”
And it came to pass, while they were
slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and
cried, and said,
Ah Lord GOD!
wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy
fury upon Jerusalem?
While they were killing, I was left alone. And I fell facedown and
cried out, “Oh, Lord GOD, when You pour out Your
wrath on Jerusalem, will You destroy the entire
remnant of Israel?”
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even
rend it with a
stormy wind in my
fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my
fury to
consume it.
Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: In My
wrath I will release a
windstorm, and in My anger torrents of rain and
hail will fall with destructive
fury.
Thus will I
accomplish my
wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have
daubed it with untempered
morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that
daubed it;
And after I have
vented My
wrath against the wall and against those who
whitewashed it, I will say to you: ‘The wall is gone, and so are those who
whitewashed it—
Or if I send a
pestilence into that land, and pour out my
fury upon it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast:
Or if I send a plague into that land and pour out My
wrath upon it through
bloodshed, cutting off from it both man and beast,
And I will judge thee, as women that break
wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in
fury and jealousy.
And I will sentence you to the punishment of women who commit
adultery and those who shed blood; so I will bring upon you the
wrath of your
bloodshed and jealousy.
So will I make my
fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more
angry.
So I will lay to rest My
wrath against you, and My jealousy will turn away from you. Then I will be calm and no longer
angry.
But they rebelled against me, and would not
hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they
forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my
fury upon them to
accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.
But they rebelled against Me and refused to
listen. None of them cast away the abominations before their eyes, and they did not
forsake the idols of Egypt. So I resolved to pour out My
wrath upon them and
vent My anger against them in the land of Egypt.
But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they
despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly
polluted: then I said, I would pour out my
fury upon them in the wilderness, to
consume them.
Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not follow My statutes and they rejected My ordinances—though the man who does these things will live by them—and they utterly
profaned My Sabbaths. Then I resolved to pour out My
wrath upon them and put an end to them in the wilderness.
Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they
polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my
fury upon them, to
accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
But the children rebelled against Me. They did not walk in My statutes or carefully observe My ordinances—though the man who does these things will live by them—and they
profaned My Sabbaths. So I resolved to pour out My
wrath upon them and
vent My anger against them in the wilderness.
As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with
fury poured out, will I rule over you:
As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, with a strong hand, an outstretched arm, and outpoured wrath I will rule over you.
And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with
fury poured out.
With a strong hand, an outstretched arm, and outpoured wrath I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands to which you have been scattered.
I will also
smite mine hands together, and I will cause my
fury to rest: I the LORD have said it.
I too will strike My hands together, and I will satisfy My wrath.’ I, the LORD, have spoken.”
And I will pour out mine
indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my
wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of
brutish men, and skilful to destroy.
I will pour out My anger upon you; I will
breathe the fire of My
fury against you; I will hand you over to
brutal men, skilled in destruction.
As they gather silver, and brass, and iron, and lead, and tin, into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire upon it, to
melt it; so will I gather you in mine anger and in my
fury, and I will leave you there, and
melt you.
Just as one gathers silver, copper, iron, lead, and tin into the furnace to
melt with a
fiery blast, so I will gather you in My anger and
wrath, leave you there, and
melt you.
Yea, I will gather you, and blow upon you in the fire of my
wrath, and ye shall be melted in the midst thereof.
Yes, I will gather you together and blow on you with the fire of My
wrath, and you will be melted within the city.
As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall ye be melted in the midst thereof; and ye shall know that I the LORD have poured out my
fury upon you.
As silver is melted in a furnace, so you will be melted within the city. Then you will know that I, the LORD, have poured out My wrath upon you.’”
Therefore have I poured out mine
indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my
wrath: their own way have I
recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.
So I have poured out My
indignation upon them and consumed them with the fire of My
fury. I have brought their ways down upon their own heads, declares the Lord GOD.”
That it might cause
fury to come up to take
vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.
In order to
stir up
wrath and take
vengeance, I have placed her blood on the bare rock, so that it would not be covered.’
And I will lay my
vengeance upon
Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in
Edom according to mine anger and according to my
fury; and they shall know my
vengeance, saith the Lord GOD.
I will take My
vengeance on
Edom by the hand of My people Israel, and they will deal with
Edom according to My anger and
wrath. Then they will know My
vengeance, declares the Lord GOD.’
And I will pour my
fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.
Wherefore I poured my
fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols
wherewith they had
polluted it:
So I poured out My
wrath upon them because of the blood they had shed on the land, and because they had
defiled it with their idols.
And it shall come to pass at the same time when
Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my
fury shall come up in my face.
Now on that day when
Gog comes against the land of Israel, declares the Lord GOD, My
wrath will
flare up.
For in my jealousy and in the fire of my
wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great
shaking in the land of Israel;
And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the
indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.
and said, “Behold, I will make known to you what will happen in the latter time of wrath, because it concerns the appointed time of the end.
O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I
beseech thee, let thine anger and thy
fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the
iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.
O Lord, in keeping with all Your righteous acts, I pray that Your anger and
wrath may turn away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; for because of our sins and the
iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people are a reproach to all around us.
And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall
exalt himself, and
magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall
prosper till the
indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
Then the king will do as he pleases and will
exalt and
magnify himself above every god, and he will speak
monstrous things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of
wrath is completed, for what has been decreed must be accomplished.
The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
The princes of Judah are like those who move boundary stones; I will pour out My
fury upon them like water.
I will not
execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.
I will not
execute the full
fury of My anger; I will not turn back to destroy Ephraim. For I am God and not man— the Holy One among you— and I will not come in
wrath.
I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath.
So in My anger I gave you a king, and in My wrath I took him away.
Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of
Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all
pity, and his anger did
tear perpetually, and he kept his
wrath for ever:
This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of
Edom, even four, I will not
revoke My judgment, because he pursued his brother with the sword and
stifled all
compassion; his anger
raged continually, and his
fury flamed
incessantly.
I will take
vengeance in anger and
wrath upon the nations that have not obeyed Me.”
