vindication before all who are with you; you are completely
cleared.”

plead? How can we
justify ourselves? God has exposed the iniquity of your servants. We are now my lord’s slaves—both we and the one who was found with the cup.”

sapphire, as
clear as the sky itself.
Keeping mercy for thousands,
forgiving iniquity and
transgression and sin, and that will by no means
clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

forgiving iniquity,
transgression, and sin. Yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished; He will visit the iniquity of the fathers on their children and grandchildren to the third and fourth generations.”

mildew, so that nothing in the house will become unclean. After this, the priest shall go in to
inspect the house.

clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.

sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have done this thing.
The Gibeonites answered, “Your servants were told
clearly that the LORD your God had commanded His servant Moses to give you all the land and
wipe out all its inhabitants before you. So we greatly feared for our lives because of you, and that is why we have done this.
And Joshua answered them, If thou be a great people, then get thee up to the wood country, and cut down for
thyself there in the land of the
Perizzites and of the giants, if mount Ephraim be too narrow for thee.
Joshua answered them, “If you have so many people that the hill country of Ephraim is too small for you, go to the forest and
clear for
yourself an area in the land of the
Perizzites and the
Rephaim.”
But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the
Canaanites, though they have iron
chariots, and though they be strong.
because the hill country will be yours as well. It is a forest;
clear it, and its
farthest limits will be yours. Although the
Canaanites have iron
chariots and although they are strong, you can drive them out.”

clearly reveal Myself to your father’s house when they were in Egypt under Pharaoh’s house?
Therefore Saul said unto the LORD God of Israel, Give a perfect lot. And Saul and
Jonathan were taken: but the people escaped.
So Saul said to the LORD, the God of Israel, “Why have You not answered Your servant this day? If the fault is with me or my son
Jonathan,
respond with
Urim; but if the fault is with the men of Israel,
respond with
Thummim.” And
Jonathan and Saul were selected, but the people were
cleared of the charge.
In that thou lovest thine enemies, and hatest thy friends. For thou hast declared this day, that thou regardest neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if
Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased thee well.
You love those who
hate you and
hate those who love you! For you have made it
clear today that the commanders and soldiers mean nothing to you. I know
today that if
Absalom were alive and all of us were dead, it would have pleased you!

clear shining after rain.

clearer than the
noonday; thou shalt

noonday; its darkness will be like the morning.

What do you know that we do not? What do you understand that is not clear to us?

garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the
crooked serpent.
By His breath the
skies were
cleared; His hand pierced the
fleeing serpent.

My words are from an upright heart, and my lips speak
sincerely what I know.
Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the
lightning of
thunder;
Who cuts a channel for the flood or
clears a path for the
thunderbolt,
It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way clear.
For he
seeth that wise men die, likewise the
fool and the
brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.
For it is
clear that wise men die, and the
foolish and the senseless both perish and leave their wealth to others.
Against thee, thee only, have I
sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be
clear when thou judgest.
Against You, You only, have I
sinned and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You may be proved right when You speak and
blameless when You judge.
He made a way to his anger; he
spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the
pestilence;
He
cleared a path for His anger; He did not
spare them from death but delivered their lives to the plague.

didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land.
You cleared the ground for it, and it took root and filled the land.

they have hands, but cannot feel; they have feet, but cannot walk; they cannot even clear their throats.
Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy
wondrous works.
Make
clear to me the way of Your precepts; then I will
meditate on Your wonders.
Who is she that looketh forth as the morning, fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners?
Who is this who shines like the
dawn, as fair as the moon, as bright as the sun, as
majestic as the stars in
procession?
And he
fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
He
dug it up and
cleared the stones and planted the finest vines. He built a
watchtower in the middle and
dug out a winepress as well. He waited for the
vineyard to yield good grapes, but the fruit it produced was
sour!
And he shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and
Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
He will
clear the forest thickets with an
axe, and
Lebanon will fall before the Mighty One.
For so the LORD said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a
clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of
dew in the heat of harvest.
For this is what the LORD has told me: “I will quietly look on from My dwelling place, like
shimmering heat in the
sunshine, like a cloud of
dew in the heat of harvest.”
The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright,
dost weigh the path of the just.
The path of the righteous is level; You clear a straight path for the upright.

rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the
highways; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.
Go out, go out through the gates; prepare the way for the people! Build it up, build up the
highway;
clear away the stones; raise a
banner for the nations!
The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.
The anger of the LORD will not turn back until He has fully accomplished the purposes of His heart. In the days to come you will understand this clearly.
Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must
tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have
drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet?
Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pasture? Must you also
trample the rest of the pasture with your feet? Is it not enough for you to drink the
clear waters? Must you also
muddy the rest with your feet?
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at
noon, and I will
darken the earth in the
clear day:
And in that day, declares the Lord GOD, I will make the sun go down at
noon, and I will
darken the earth in the
daytime.
And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
Then the LORD answered me: “Write down this vision and
clearly inscribe it on tablets, so that a
herald may run with it.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
On that day there will be no light, no cold or
frost.
Whose
fan is in his hand, and he will throughly
purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the
garner; but he will burn up the
chaff with
unquenchable fire.
Thou
hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see
clearly to cast out the
mote out of thy brother’s eye.
You
hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see
clearly to remove the
speck from your brother’s eye.
After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
Once again Jesus placed His hands on the man’s eyes, and when he opened them his sight was restored, and he could see everything clearly.
Whose
fan is in his hand, and he will throughly
purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his
garner; but the
chaff he will burn with fire
unquenchable.
Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the
mote that is in thine eye, when thou
thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou
hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see
clearly to pull out the
mote that is in thy brother’s eye.
How can you say, ‘Brother, let me take the
speck out of your eye,’ while you
yourself fail to see the beam in your own eye? You
hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see
clearly to remove the
speck from your brother’s eye.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
But
whoever practices the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen
clearly that what he has done has been accomplished in God.”
Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable
miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.
“What shall we do with these men?” they asked. “It is
clear to
everyone living in Jerusalem that a remarkable
miracle has occurred through them, and we cannot deny it.
He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him,
Cornelius.
One day at about the ninth hour, he had a
clear vision of an angel of God who came to him and said, “
Cornelius!”
And
herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.
In this hope, I
strive always to maintain a
clear conscience before God and man.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are
clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and
Godhead; so that they are without
excuse:
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been
clearly seen, being understood from His
workmanship, so that men are without
excuse.
For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not
hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
My conscience is
clear, but that does not
vindicate me. It is the Lord who judges me.
For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
For “God has put everything under His feet.” Now when it says that everything has been put under Him, this clearly does not include the One who put everything under Him.
Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in
fleshy tables of the heart.
It is clear that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we
persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
Therefore, since we know what it means to fear the Lord, we try to
persuade men. What we are is
clear to God, and I hope it is
clear to your conscience as well.
For behold this
selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you,
yea, what
clearing of
yourselves,
yea, what
indignation,
yea, what fear,
yea, what
vehement desire,
yea, what zeal,
yea, what
revenge! In all things ye have approved
yourselves to be
clear in this matter.
Consider what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to
clear yourselves, what
indignation, what
alarm, what longing, what zeal, what
vindication! In every way you have proved
yourselves to be innocent in this matter.
Wherefore, though I wrote unto you, I did it not for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you.
So even though I wrote to you, it was not on account of the one who did wrong or the one who was
harmed, but rather that your earnestness on our behalf would be made
clear to you in the sight of God.
But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things.
Although I am not a polished speaker, I am certainly not lacking in knowledge. We have made this clear to you in every way possible.
But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.”
So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;
As a result, it has become
clear throughout the whole palace guard and to
everyone else that I am in chains for Christ.
without being
frightened in any way by those who
oppose you. This is a
clear sign of their destruction but of your salvation, and it is from God.
That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
Pray that I may declare it clearly, as I should.
Which is a manifest
token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
All this is clear evidence of God’s righteous judgment. And so you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith
unfeigned:
The
goal of our instruction is the love that comes from a pure heart, a
clear conscience, and a
sincere faith.
Holding the
mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.
They must hold to the
mystery of the faith with a
clear conscience.
I
thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have
remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
I
thank God, whom I serve with a
clear conscience as did my forefathers, as I constantly remember you night and day in my prayers.
Wherein God, willing more abundantly to
shew unto the heirs of promise the
immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
So when God wanted to make the unchanging nature of His purpose very
clear to the heirs of the promise, He
guaranteed it with an oath.
For it is evident that our Lord
sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, a tribe as to which Moses said nothing about priests.
And it is yet far more evident: for that after the
similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
And this point is even more
clear if another priest like
Melchizedek appears,
Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live
honestly.
Pray for us; we are
convinced that we have a
clear conscience and desire to live
honorably in every way.
Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be
ashamed that falsely
accuse your good conversation in Christ.
keeping a
clear conscience, so that those who
slander you may be put to shame by your good
behavior in Christ.
The like figure
whereunto even baptism
doth also now save us (not the putting away of the
filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
And this water symbolizes the baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of
dirt from the body, but the
pledge of a
clear conscience toward God—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore
sober, and watch unto prayer.
The end of all things is near. Therefore be
clear-minded and
sober, so that you can pray.
Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
because I know that this tent will soon be laid aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
They went out from us, but they did not belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But their departure made it clear that none of them belonged to us.
And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
And before the throne was something like a sea of glass, as clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, covered with eyes in front and back.
Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a
jasper stone,
clear as crystal;
And the building of the wall of it was of
jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto
clear glass.
The wall was made of
jasper, and the city itself of pure gold, as pure as glass.
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one
pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, with each gate consisting of a single
pearl. The main street of the city was pure gold, as
clear as glass.
And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Then the angel showed me a river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
Heal the broken and the weak,
laugh not a
lame man to
scorn, defend the
maimed, and let the blind man come into the sight of my
clearness.
Let it not be thy will to destroy them which have lived like beasts; but to look upon them that have clearly taught thy law.
For wisdom, which is the worker of all things, taught me: for in her is an understanding spirit holy, one only,
manifold,
subtil, lively,
clear,
undefiled, plain, not subject to
hurt, loving the thing that is good quick, which cannot be
letted, ready to do good,
For the whole world
shined with
clear light, and none were hindered in their labour:
As the
clear light is upon the holy
candlestick; so is the beauty of the face in ripe age.
The pride of the height, the
clear firmament, the beauty of heaven, with his glorious
shew;
Who
cried with a loud voice, I am
clear from the blood of this woman.
