gloom for those in
distress. In the past He humbled the land of
Zebulun and the land of
Naphtali, but in the future He will honor the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan,

hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the
spoil, and to take the prey, and to
tread them down like the

Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art
dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.

remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.

Aram will be like the
splendor of the Israelites,” declares the LORD of Hosts.

flourish: but the harvest shall be a
heap in the day of grief and of
desperate sorrow.

sprout— yet the harvest will
vanish on the day of
disease and incurable pain.
For
afore the harvest, when the
bud is perfect, and the
sour grape is
ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruninghooks, and take away and cut down the branches.

blossom is gone and the flower becomes a
ripening grape, He will cut off the shoots with a
pruning knife and remove and
discard the branches.

boast will be
dismayed and
ashamed.

anguish. Pain grips me, like the pains of a woman in labor. I am
bewildered to hear, I am
dismayed to see.
