gift devoted to God,’

anyone swears by the
gift on it, he is bound by his oath.’

Corban’ (that is, a
gift devoted to God),
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

gift to
strengthen you,

But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
But the
gift is not like the
trespass. For if the many died by the
trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the
gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many!
And not as it was by one that
sinned, so is the
gift: for the judgment was by one to
condemnation, but the free
gift is of many offences unto
justification.
Again, the
gift is not like the result of the one man’s sin: The judgment that followed one sin brought
condemnation, but the
gift that followed many trespasses brought
justification.
For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
For if, by the
trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive an abundance of grace and of the
gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!
Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to
condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free
gift came upon all men unto
justification of life.

Having then
gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed.

gifts of
healing by the same Spirit;
to another faith by the same Spirit, to another
gifts of
healing by that one Spirit,
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles,
secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then
gifts of healings, helps, governments,
diversities of tongues.
And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, and those with
gifts of
healing, helping, administration, and various tongues.
But
covet earnestly the best
gifts: and yet
shew I unto you a more excellent way.
But eagerly desire the greater gifts. And now I will show you the most excellent way.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
If I have the
gift of prophecy and can
fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
Follow after charity, and desire spiritual
gifts, but rather that ye may
prophesy.
Earnestly pursue love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.
It is the same with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual
gifts,
strive to
excel in
gifts that build up the church.
Then, on my arrival, I will send letters with those you
recommend to carry your
gift to Jerusalem.
Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the
gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons
thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give
thanks on our behalf for the favor shown us in answer to their prayers.

And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind:
More than that, this brother was chosen by the churches to
accompany us with the offering—the
gracious gift we
administer to honor the Lord Himself and to show our eagerness to help.
Avoiding this, that no man should
blame us in this abundance which is administered by us:
We hope to avoid any criticism of the way we
administer this generous
gift.
Therefore I thought it necessary to
exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up
beforehand your
bounty,
whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of
bounty, and not as of
covetousness.
So I thought it necessary to
urge the brothers to visit you
beforehand and make arrangements for the
bountiful gift you had promised. This way, your
gift will be prepared generously and not begrudgingly.
(As it is written, He hath
dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
As it is written: “He has scattered abroad His
gifts to the poor; His righteousness endures
forever.”
Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable
gift.
Thanks be to God for His indescribable
gift!

yourselves: it is the
gift of God:
For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from
yourselves; it is the
gift of God,

gift of the grace of God given unto me by the
effectual working of his power.

Not that I am seeking a gift, but I am looking for the fruit that may be credited to your account.
But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
I have all I need and more, now that I have received your
gifts from Epaphroditus. They are a
fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.
Neglect not the
gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the
presbytery.
Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given you through the prophecy spoken over you at the laying on of the hands of the elders.
Wherefore I put thee in
remembrance that thou
stir up the
gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
For this reason I remind you to

enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly
gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
It is impossible for those who have once been
enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly
gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit,
For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
And since every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, it was necessary for this One also to have something to offer.
For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:

Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

By faith
Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than
Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God

gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

commended as righteous when God gave
approval to his
gifts. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead.

Every good and perfect
gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no change or
shifting shadow.

gracious gift of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.

gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the
manifold grace of God.

manifold grace of God, each of you should use whatever
gift he has received to serve one another.
And they that dwell upon the earth shall
rejoice over them, and make
merry, and shall send
gifts one to another; because these two prophets
tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
And those who dwell on the earth will
gloat over them, and will
celebrate and send one another
gifts, because these two prophets had
tormented them.
With
gifts, with horses, and with cattle, and other things, which have been set forth by
vow, for the temple of the Lord at Jerusalem.

gifts of a great number whose minds were
stirred up
thereto.

thanks unto him that hath led you to the heavenly kingdom.

gift more than the wages.

gifts before them as unto dead men.
