confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my
supplication before the LORD my God for the
holy mountain of my God;
While I was speaking, praying,
confessing my sin and that of my people Israel, and presenting my petition before the LORD my God concerning His
holy mountain—

Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be
grieved, and return, and have
indignation against the
holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that
forsake the
holy covenant.

rage against the
holy covenant and do damage. So he will return and show favor to those who
forsake the
holy covenant.
And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
He will pitch his royal tents between the sea and the beautiful holy mountain, but he will meet his end with no one to help him.
And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and
sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to
scatter the power of the
holy people, all these things shall be finished.
And the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, raised his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him
swear by Him who lives
forever, saying, “It will be for a time, and times, and half a time. When the power of the
holy people has finally been
shattered, all these things will be completed.”
I will not
execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the
Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.
I will not
execute the full
fury of My anger; I will not turn back to destroy Ephraim. For I am God and not man— the
Holy One among you— and I will not come in wrath.
Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with
deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.
Ephraim surrounds Me with lies, the house of Israel with
deceit; but Judah still walks with God and is faithful to the
Holy One.
Blow ye the
trumpet in
Zion, and sound an
alarm in my
holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land
tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is
nigh at hand;
Blow the ram’s horn in
Zion; sound the
alarm on My
holy mountain! Let all who dwell in the land
tremble, for the Day of the LORD is coming; indeed, it is near—
So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in
Zion, my
holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be
holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

holy mountain. Jerusalem will be
holy, never again to be overrun by foreigners.
That
pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the
meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same
maid, to
profane my
holy name:
They
trample on the heads of the poor as on the dust of the earth; they
push the
needy out of their way. A man and his father have relations with the same
girl and so
profane My
holy name.
For as ye have
drunk upon my
holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually,
yea, they shall drink, and they shall
swallow down, and they shall be as though they had not been.

drank on My
holy mountain, so all the nations will drink continually. They will drink and
gulp it down; they will be as if they had never existed.

Zion shall be
deliverance, and there shall be
holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.

deliverance, and it will be

fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine
holy temple.

fading away, I remembered the LORD. My prayer went up to You, to Your
holy temple.
Hear, all ye people;
hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his
holy temple.
Hear, O peoples, all of you;
listen, O earth, and
everyone in it! May the Lord GOD bear witness against you, the Lord from His
holy temple.
Art thou not from
everlasting, O LORD my God, mine
Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.
Are You not from
everlasting, O LORD, my God, my
Holy One? We will not die. O LORD, You have appointed them to
execute judgment; O Rock, You have established them for correction.
But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.

In that day shalt thou not be
ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast
transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that
rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be
haughty because of my
holy mountain.
On that day you will not be put to shame for any of the deeds by which you have
transgressed against Me. For then I will remove from among you those who
rejoice in their pride, and you will never again be
haughty on My
holy mountain.
If one bear
holy flesh in the
skirt of his garment, and with his
skirt do touch bread, or
pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be
holy? And the priests answered and said, No.

stew, wine, oil, or any other food, does that
item become
holy?’” “No,” replied the priests.

inherit Judah his portion in the

roused Himself from His
holy dwelling.”
Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto
Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the
holy mountain.
This is what the LORD says: “I will return to
Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the LORD of Hosts will be called the
Holy Mountain.”
And ye shall
flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal:
yea, ye shall
flee, like as ye fled from before the
earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

flee by My mountain valley, for it will extend to Azal. You will
flee as you fled from the
earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the
holy ones with Him.
In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses,
HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD’S house shall be like the

cooking pots in the house of the LORD will be like the
sprinkling bowls before the altar.
Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be
holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and
seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the
Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
Indeed, every pot in Jerusalem and Judah will be
holy to the LORD of Hosts, and all who sacrifice will come and take some pots and
cook in them. And on that day there will no longer be a
Canaanite in the house of the LORD of Hosts.
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was
espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the

Holy Spirit.
I indeed
baptize you with water unto
repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose
shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall
baptize you with the
Holy Ghost, and with fire:
I
baptize you with water for
repentance, but after me will come One more powerful than I, whose
sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will
baptize you with the
Holy Spirit and with fire.
Then the devil taketh him up into the
holy city, and setteth him on a
pinnacle of the temple,
Then the devil took Him to the
holy city and set Him on the
pinnacle of the temple.
Give not that which is
holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before
swine, lest they
trample them under their feet, and turn again and
rend you.
Do not give dogs what is
holy; do not throw your pearls before
swine. If you do, they may
trample them under their feet, and then turn and
tear you to pieces.
And
whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be
forgiven him: but
whosoever speaketh against the
Holy Ghost, it shall not be
forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be
forgiven, but
whoever speaks against the
Holy Spirit will not be
forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.
When ye therefore shall see the
abomination of
desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the
holy place, (
whoso readeth, let him understand:)
So when you see standing in the
holy place ‘the
abomination of
desolation,’ described by the prophet Daniel (let the reader understand),
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Ghost:
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Spirit,
I indeed have
baptized you with water: but he shall
baptize you with the
Holy Ghost.
I
baptize you with water, but He will
baptize you with the
Holy Spirit.”
Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of
Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the
Holy One of God.

holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him
gladly.
because Herod feared John and protected him, knowing that he was a righteous and
holy man. When he heard John’s words, he was greatly
perplexed; yet he
listened to him
gladly.
Whosoever therefore shall be
ashamed of me and of my words in this
adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be
ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the
holy angels.
If
anyone is
ashamed of Me and My words in this
adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be
ashamed of him when He comes in His Father’s glory with the
holy angels.”
For David himself said by the
Holy Ghost, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy
footstool.

But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought
beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye
premeditate: but
whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the
Holy Ghost.
But when they arrest you and hand you over, do not
worry beforehand what to say. Instead, speak whatever you are given at that time, for it will not be you speaking, but the
Holy Spirit.
For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the
Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s
womb.
for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He shall never take wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the
Holy Spirit even from his mother’s
womb.
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:
as He spoke through His holy prophets, those of ages past,
To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
to show mercy to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant,
(As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the
womb shall be called
holy to the Lord;)
(as it is written in the Law of the Lord: “Every
firstborn male shall be consecrated to the Lord”),

Simeon; and the same man was just and
devout, waiting for the

baptize you with water, but One more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose
sandals I am not worthy to
untie. He will
baptize you with the
Holy Spirit and with fire.
And the
Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a

Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the
Holy One of God.
“
Ha! What do You want with us, Jesus of
Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the
Holy One of God!”
For
whosoever shall be
ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be
ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the
holy angels.
If
anyone is
ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be
ashamed of him when He comes in His glory and in the glory of the Father and of the
holy angels.
In that hour Jesus
rejoiced in spirit, and said, I
thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast
hid these things from the wise and
prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
At that time Jesus
rejoiced in the
Holy Spirit and declared, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.
Yes, Father, for this was well-pleasing in Your sight.
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
And
whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be
forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the
Holy Ghost it shall not be
forgiven.

For at that time the Holy Spirit will teach you what you should say.”
And I knew him not: but he that sent me to
baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the
Holy Ghost.
I myself did not know Him, but the One who sent me to
baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is He who will
baptize with the
Holy Spirit.’
And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
We believe and know that You are the Holy One of God.”
(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the
Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet
glorified.)
He was speaking about the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were later to receive. For the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet been
glorified.
But the Comforter, which is the
Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your
remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you.
And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, protect them by Your name, the name You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one.
And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

until the day He was taken up to heaven, after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit to the apostles He had chosen.
For John truly
baptized with water; but ye shall be
baptized with the
Holy Ghost not many days hence.
For John
baptized with water, but in a few days you will be
baptized with the
Holy Spirit.”
But ye shall receive power, after that the
Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the
uttermost part of the earth.
But you will receive power when the
Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all
Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the
Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning
Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
“Brothers, the Scripture had to be fulfilled which the
Holy Spirit
foretold through the mouth of David concerning
Judas, who became a guide for those who arrested Jesus.
And they were all filled with the
Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
Because thou
wilt not leave my soul in
hell, neither
wilt thou suffer thine
Holy One to see corruption.
because You will not
abandon my soul to Hades, nor will You let Your
Holy One see decay.
Therefore being by the right hand of God
exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the
Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
Exalted, then, to the right hand of God, He has received from the Father the promised
Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.
Then Peter said unto them,
Repent, and be
baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the
Holy Ghost.
Peter replied, “
Repent and be
baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the
forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the
Holy Spirit.
But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
You rejected the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you.
Whom the heaven must receive until the times of
restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his
holy prophets since the world began.
Heaven must take Him in until the time comes for the restoration of all things, which God
announced long ago through His
holy prophets.
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers and elders of the people!
Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen
rage, and the people imagine vain things?
You spoke by the
Holy Spirit through the mouth of Your servant, our father David: ‘Why do the nations
rage and the peoples plot in vain?
For of a truth against thy
holy child Jesus, whom thou hast
anointed, both Herod, and Pontius
Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
In fact, this is the very city where Herod and Pontius
Pilate conspired with the Gentiles and the people of Israel against Your
holy servant Jesus, whom You
anointed.
By stretching forth thine hand to
heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy
holy child Jesus.
as You stretch out Your hand to
heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of Your
holy servant Jesus.”
And when they had prayed, the place was
shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the
Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
After they had prayed, their meeting place was
shaken, and they were all filled with the
Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.
But Peter said,
Ananias, why hath
Satan filled thine heart to lie to the
Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Then Peter said, “
Ananias, how is it that
Satan has filled your heart to lie to the
Holy Spirit and
withhold some of the proceeds from the land?
And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.”
Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of
honest report, full of the
Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may
appoint over this business.
Therefore, brothers, select from among you seven men confirmed to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will
appoint this
responsibility to them
And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the
Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and
Timon, and Parmenas, and
Nicolas a
proselyte of Antioch:
This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the
Holy Spirit, as well as Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor,
Timon, Parmenas, and
Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to
Judaism.
And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak
blasphemous words against this
holy place, and the law:
where they presented false witnesses who said, “This man never stops speaking against this holy place and against the law.
Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy
shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is
holy ground.
Then the Lord said to him, ‘Take off your
sandals, for the place where you are standing is
holy ground.
Ye stiffnecked and
uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the
Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
You stiff-necked people with
uncircumcised hearts and ears! You always resist the
Holy Spirit, just as your fathers did.
But he, being full of the
Holy Ghost, looked up
stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked intently into heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.
Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
On their arrival, they prayed for them to receive the Holy Spirit.
(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were
baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
For the
Holy Spirit had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had simply been
baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.
Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
Then Peter and John laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,

whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the
Holy Ghost.

everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the
Holy Spirit.”

Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the
Holy Ghost.
So
Ananias went to the house, and when he arrived, he placed his hands on Saul. “Brother Saul,” he said, “the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here, has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the
Holy Spirit.”
Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and
Galilee and Samaria, and were
edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the
Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
Then the church throughout
Judea,
Galilee, and Samaria experienced a time of peace. It grew in strength and numbers, living in the fear of the Lord and the encouragement of the
Holy Spirit.
