Berean Standard Bible BSB Bible
Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the
LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an
everlasting covenant.
Every Sabbath day the bread is to be set out before the LORD on behalf of the Israelites as a permanent covenant.
And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.
It belongs to Aaron and his sons, who are to eat it in a holy place; for it is to him a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the
LORD—his portion
forever.”
And the
Israelitish woman’s son
blasphemed the name of the
LORD, and
cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of
Dan:)
The son of the
Israelite woman
blasphemed the Name with a
curse. So they brought him to Moses. (His mother’s name was Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of
Dan.)
And they put him in ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them.
They placed him in
custody until the will of the
LORD should be made clear to them.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Then the LORD said to Moses,
And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be put to death.
Whoever blasphemes the name of the
LORD must surely be put to death; the whole assembly must surely stone him, whether he is a foreign resident or native; if he blasphemes the Name, he must be put to death.
Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God.
You are to have the same standard of law for the foreign resident and the native; for I am the LORD your God.’”
And Moses spake to the children of Israel, that they should bring forth him that had
cursed out of the camp, and stone him with stones. And the children of Israel did as the
LORD commanded Moses.
Then Moses spoke to the Israelites, and they took the
blasphemer outside the camp and stoned him. So the Israelites did as the
LORD had commanded Moses.
And the
LORD spake unto Moses in mount
Sinai, saying,
Then the
LORD said to Moses on Mount
Sinai,
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD.
“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: When you enter the land that I am giving you, the land itself must observe a Sabbath to the LORD.
But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the
LORD: thou shalt neither
sow thy field, nor
prune thy
vineyard.
But in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of complete rest for the land—a Sabbath to the
LORD. You are not to
sow your field or
prune your
vineyard.
Ye shall not therefore
oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am the
LORD your God.
Do not take advantage of each other, but fear your God; for I am the LORD your God.
I am the
LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of
Canaan, and to be your God.
I am the
LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to give you the land of
Canaan and to be your God.
For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
For the Israelites are My servants. They are My servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
Ye shall make you no idols nor
graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the
LORD your God.
“You must not make idols for
yourselves or set up a carved image or sacred
pillar; you must not place a sculpted stone in your land to bow down to it. For I am the
LORD your God.
Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.
You must keep My Sabbaths and have reverence for My sanctuary. I am the LORD.
I am the
LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their
bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.
I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians. I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk in uprightness.
And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I
abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the
LORD their God.
Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not
reject or
despise them so as to destroy them and break My covenant with them; for I am the
LORD their God.
But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.
But for their sake I will remember the covenant with their fathers, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am the LORD.”
These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the
LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount
Sinai by the hand of Moses.
These are the statutes, ordinances, and laws that the
LORD established between Himself and the Israelites through Moses on Mount
Sinai.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Then the LORD said to Moses,
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular
vow, the persons shall be for the
LORD by thy
estimation.
“Speak to the Israelites and say to them, ‘When someone makes a special
vow to the
LORD involving the value of persons,
And if it be a beast,
whereof men bring an offering unto the
LORD, all that any man giveth of such unto the
LORD shall be holy.
If he vows an animal that may be brought as an offering to the LORD, any such animal given to the LORD shall be holy.
And if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not offer a sacrifice unto the LORD, then he shall present the beast before the priest:
But if the
vow involves any of the unclean animals that may not be brought as an offering to the
LORD, the animal must be presented before the priest.
And when a man shall
sanctify his house to be holy unto the
LORD, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand.
Now if a man consecrates his house as holy to the LORD, then the priest shall value it either as good or bad. The price will stand just as the priest values it.
And if a man shall
sanctify unto the
LORD some part of a field of his possession, then thy
estimation shall be according to the seed thereof: an homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.
If a man consecrates to the
LORD a
parcel of his land, then your
valuation shall be proportional to the seed required for it—fifty shekels of silver for every homer of barley seed.
But the field, when it goeth out in the jubile, shall be holy unto the LORD, as a field devoted; the possession thereof shall be the priest’s.
When the field is released in the
Jubilee, it will become holy, like a field devoted to the
LORD; it becomes the property of the priests.
And if a man
sanctify unto the
LORD a field which he hath bought, which is not of the fields of his possession;
Now if a man consecrates to the LORD a field he has purchased, which is not a part of his own property,
Then the priest shall
reckon unto him the worth of thy
estimation, even unto the year of the jubile: and he shall give thine
estimation in that day, as a holy thing unto the
LORD.
then the priest shall
calculate for him the value up to the Year of
Jubilee, and the man shall pay the
assessed value on that day as a sacred offering to the
LORD.
Only the
firstling of the beasts, which should be the
LORD’S
firstling, no man shall
sanctify it; whether it be ox, or sheep: it is the
LORD’S.
Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall
devote unto the
LORD of all that he hath, both of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing is most holy unto the
LORD.
Nothing that a man sets apart to the LORD from all he owns—whether a man, an animal, or his inherited land—can be sold or redeemed; everything so devoted is most holy to the LORD.
And all the
tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the
LORD’S: it is holy unto the
LORD.
Thus any
tithe from the land, whether from the seed of the land or the fruit of the trees, belongs to the
LORD; it is holy to the
LORD.
And concerning the
tithe of the
herd, or of the flock, even of
whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the
LORD.
Every tenth animal from the
herd or flock that passes under the
shepherd’s rod will be holy to the
LORD.
These are the commandments, which the
LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount
Sinai.
These are the commandments that the
LORD gave to Moses for the Israelites on Mount
Sinai.
And the
LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of
Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
On the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites had come out of the land of Egypt, the
LORD spoke to Moses in the Tent of Meeting in the Wilderness of
Sinai. He said:
As the
LORD commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of
Sinai.
just as the
LORD had commanded Moses. So Moses numbered them in the Wilderness of
Sinai:
For the LORD had spoken unto Moses, saying,
For the LORD had said to Moses:
And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.
Thus the Israelites did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron:
But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses.
But the Levites were not counted among the other Israelites, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.
So the Israelites did everything the LORD commanded Moses; they camped under their standards in this way and set out in the same way, each man with his clan and his family.
These also are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the
LORD spake with Moses in mount
Sinai.
This is the account of Aaron and Moses at the time the
LORD spoke with Moses on Mount
Sinai.
And
Nadab and
Abihu died before the
LORD, when they offered strange fire before the
LORD, in the wilderness of
Sinai, and they had no children: and
Eleazar and
Ithamar ministered in the priest’s office in the sight of Aaron their father.
Nadab and
Abihu, however, died in the presence of the
LORD when they offered unauthorized fire before the
LORD in the Wilderness of
Sinai. And since they had no sons, only
Eleazar and
Ithamar served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Then the LORD said to Moses,
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
Because all the
firstborn are mine; for on the day that I
smote all the
firstborn in the land of Egypt I
hallowed unto me all the
firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the
LORD.
for all the
firstborn are Mine. On the day I struck down every
firstborn in the land of Egypt, I consecrated to Myself all the
firstborn in Israel, both man and beast. They are Mine; I am the
LORD.”
And the
LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of
Sinai, saying,
Then the
LORD spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of
Sinai, saying,
And Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded.
So Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD, as he had been commanded.
All that were numbered of the Levites, which Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of the LORD, throughout their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty and two thousand.
The total number of Levites that Moses and Aaron counted by their clans at the LORD’s command, including all the males a month old or more, was 22,000.
And the
LORD said unto Moses, Number all the
firstborn of the males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.
Then the
LORD said to Moses, “Number every
firstborn male of the Israelites a month old or more, and list their names.
And thou shalt take the Levites for me (I am the
LORD) instead of all the
firstborn among the children of Israel; and the cattle of the Levites instead of all the firstlings among the cattle of the children of Israel.
You are to take the Levites for Me—I am the
LORD—in place of all the
firstborn of Israel, and the
livestock of the Levites in place of all the
firstborn of the
livestock of the Israelites.”
And Moses numbered, as the
LORD commanded him, all the
firstborn among the children of Israel.
So Moses numbered all the
firstborn of the Israelites, as the
LORD had commanded him.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
Take the Levites instead of all the
firstborn among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am the
LORD.
“Take the Levites in place of all the
firstborn of Israel, and the
livestock of the Levites in place of their
livestock. The Levites belong to Me; I am the
LORD.
And Moses gave the money of them that were redeemed unto Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.
And Moses gave the
redemption money to Aaron and his sons in obedience to the word of the
LORD, just as the
LORD had commanded him.
And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
And the LORD said to Moses,
These were they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, which Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
These were counted from the Kohathite clans,
everyone who could serve at the Tent of Meeting. Moses and Aaron numbered them according to the command of the
LORD through Moses.
These are they that were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, of all that might do service in the tabernacle of the congregation, whom Moses and Aaron did number according to the commandment of the LORD.
These were counted from the Gershonite clans who served at the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted at the LORD’s command.
These be those that were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
These were counted from the Merarite clans, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the LORD’s command through Moses.
According to the commandment of the LORD they were numbered by the hand of Moses, every one according to his service, and according to his burden: thus were they numbered of him, as the LORD commanded Moses.
At the LORD’s command they were numbered through Moses and each one was assigned his work and burden, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Then the LORD said to Moses,
And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the LORD spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.
So the Israelites did this, sending such people outside the camp. They did just as the
LORD had
instructed Moses.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
And the LORD said to Moses,
Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a
trespass against the
LORD, and that person be guilty;
“Tell the Israelites that when a man or woman acts unfaithfully against the
LORD by
committing any sin against another, that person is guilty
But if the man has no relative to whom
restitution can be made for the wrong, the
restitution belongs to the
LORD and must be given to the priest along with the ram of
atonement, by which the
atonement is made for him.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Then the LORD said to Moses,
And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD:
The priest is to bring the wife forward and have her stand before the LORD.
And the priest shall set the woman before the
LORD, and uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering of
memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the
curse:
After the priest has the woman stand before the
LORD, he is to let down her hair and place in her hands the grain offering of
memorial, which is the grain offering for jealousy. The priest is to hold the bitter water that brings a
curse.
Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of
cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The
LORD make thee a
curse and an oath among thy people, when the
LORD doth make thy
thigh to
rot, and thy
belly to swell;
Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar:
The priest shall take from her hand the grain offering for jealousy, wave it before the LORD, and bring it to the altar.
Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be
jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the
LORD, and the priest shall
execute upon her all this law.
or when a feeling of jealousy comes over a husband and he suspects his wife. He is to have the woman stand before the LORD, and the priest is to apply to her this entire law.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
And the LORD said to Moses,
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to
vow a
vow of a
Nazarite, to separate themselves unto the
LORD:
“Speak to the Israelites and tell them that if a man or woman makes a special
vow, the
vow of a
Nazirite, to separate himself to the
LORD,
All the days of the
vow of his separation there shall no
razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto the
LORD, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.
For the entire period of his
vow of separation, no
razor shall pass over his head. He must be holy until the time of his separation to the
LORD is complete; he must let the hair of his head grow long.
All the days that he separateth himself unto the LORD he shall come at no dead body.
Throughout the days of his separation to the LORD, he must not go near a dead body.
All the days of his separation he is holy unto the LORD.
Throughout the time of his separation, he is holy to the LORD.
And he shall
consecrate unto the
LORD the days of his separation, and shall bring a lamb of the first year for a
trespass offering: but the days that were before shall be lost, because his separation was
defiled.
He must rededicate his time of separation to the
LORD and bring a year-old male lamb as a guilt offering. But the preceding days shall not be counted, because his separation was
defiled.
And he shall offer his offering unto the
LORD, one he lamb of the first year without
blemish for a burnt offering, and one
ewe lamb of the first year without
blemish for a sin offering, and one ram without
blemish for peace offerings,
and he is to present an offering to the
LORD of an
unblemished year-old male lamb as a burnt offering, an
unblemished year-old female lamb as a sin offering, and an
unblemished ram as a peace offering—
And the priest shall bring them before the LORD, and shall offer his sin offering, and his burnt offering:
The priest is to present all these before the LORD and make the sin offering and the burnt offering.
And he shall offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the
LORD, with the
basket of
unleavened bread: the priest shall offer also his meat offering, and his drink offering.
He shall also offer the ram as a peace offering to the
LORD, along with the
basket of
unleavened bread. And the priest is to offer the accompanying grain offering and drink offering.
And the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the
LORD: this is holy for the priest, with the wave breast and
heave shoulder: and after that the
Nazarite may drink wine.
The priest shall then wave them as a wave offering before the
LORD. This is a holy portion for the priest, in addition to the breast of the wave offering and the
thigh that was presented. After that, the
Nazirite may drink wine.
This is the law of the
Nazarite who hath
vowed, and of his offering unto the
LORD for his separation, beside that that his hand shall get: according to the
vow which he
vowed, so he must do after the law of his separation.
This is the law of the
Nazirite who vows his offering to the
LORD for his separation, in addition to whatever else he can afford; he must
fulfill whatever
vow he makes, according to the law of his separation.”
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Then the LORD said to Moses,
The
LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
‘May the
LORD bless you and keep you;
The
LORD make his face
shine upon thee, and be
gracious unto thee:
may the
LORD cause His face to
shine upon you and be
gracious to you;
The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
may the LORD lift up His countenance toward you and give you peace.’
And they brought their offering before the
LORD, six covered wagons, and twelve oxen; a
wagon for two of the princes, and for each one an ox: and they brought them before the tabernacle.
They brought as their offering before the
LORD six covered carts and twelve oxen—an ox from each leader and a
cart from every two leaders—and presented them before the tabernacle.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
And the LORD said to Moses,
And the
LORD said unto Moses, They shall offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the
dedicating of the altar.
And the
LORD said to Moses, “Each day one leader is to present his offering for the
dedication of the altar.”
And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.
When Moses entered the Tent of Meeting to speak with the
LORD, he heard the voice speaking to him from between the two
cherubim above the mercy seat on the ark of the Testimony. Thus the
LORD spoke to him.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Then the LORD said to Moses,
And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the
candlestick, as the
LORD commanded Moses.
And Aaron did so; he set up the lamps facing toward the front of the lampstand, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And this work of the
candlestick was of beaten gold, unto the shaft thereof, unto the flowers thereof, was beaten work: according unto the pattern which the
LORD had shewed Moses, so he made the
candlestick.
This is how the lampstand was constructed: it was made of hammered gold from its base to its blossoms, fashioned according to the pattern the LORD had shown Moses.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Again the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
And thou shalt bring the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall put their hands upon the Levites:
You are to present the Levites before the LORD and have the Israelites lay their hands upon them.
And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the
LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may
execute the service of the
LORD.
Aaron is to present the Levites before the LORD as a wave offering from the sons of Israel, so that they may perform the service of the LORD.
And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and thou shalt offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, unto the
LORD, to make an
atonement for the Levites.
And the Levites are to lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and offer to the
LORD one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, to make
atonement for the Levites.
And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for an offering unto the LORD.
You are to have the Levites stand before Aaron and his sons and then present them before the LORD as a wave offering.
