law applies to both. It belongs to the priest who makes
atonement with it.

law of the
leper in the day of his
cleansing: He shall be brought unto the priest:

law for the one
afflicted with a skin disease on the day of his
cleansing, when he is brought to the priest.

leprosy, whose hand is not able to get that which pertaineth to his

Then Moses said to Hobab, the son of Moses’ father-in-law Reuel the Midianite, “We are setting out for the place of which the LORD said: ‘I will give it to you.’ Come with us, and we will treat you well, for the LORD has promised good things to Israel.”

On the east side of the Jordan in the land of Moab, Moses began to explain this law, saying:
And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
And what nation is great enough to have righteous statutes and ordinances like this entire
law I set before you
today?
And this is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel:
This is the law that Moses set before the Israelites.
If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between
plea and
plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the LORD thy God shall choose;
If a case is too difficult for you to judge, whether the controversy within your gates is regarding
bloodshed,
lawsuits, or assaults, you must go up to the place the LORD your God will choose.
According to the sentence of the
law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do: thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall
shew thee, to the right hand, nor to the left.

When he is seated on his royal throne, he must write for himself a copy of this instruction on a
scroll in the presence of the
Levitical priests.
And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them:
It is to remain with him, and he is to read from it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to fear the LORD his God by carefully observing all the words of this instruction and these statutes.
If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband’s brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband’s brother unto her.
When brothers dwell together and one of them dies without a son, the widow must not marry outside the family. Her husband’s brother is to take her as his wife and
fulfill the duty of a brother-in-
law for her.
And if the man like not to take his brother’s wife, then let his brother’s wife go up to the gate unto the elders, and say, My husband’s brother refuseth to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he will not perform the duty of my husband’s brother.
But if the man does not want to marry his brother’s widow, she is to go to the elders at the city gate and say, “My husband’s brother refuses to preserve his brother’s name in Israel. He is not willing to perform the duty of a brother-in-law for me.”
And thou shalt write upon them all the words of this law, when thou art passed over, that thou mayest go in unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, a land that floweth with milk and honey; as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
Write on them all the words of this law when you have crossed over to enter the land that the LORD your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you.
And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.
And you shall write distinctly upon these stones all the words of this law.”
Cursed be he that lieth with his mother in
law. And all the people shall say,
Amen.
‘
Cursed is he who sleeps with his mother-in-
law.’ And let all the people say, ‘
Amen!’
Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this
law to do them. And all the people shall say,
Amen.
‘
Cursed is he who does not put the words of this
law into practice.’ And let all the people say, ‘
Amen!’
If thou
wilt not observe to do all the words of this
law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;
If you are not careful to observe all the words of this
law which are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and
awesome name—the LORD your God—
Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
The LORD will also bring upon you every sickness and plague not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed.
And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law:
and single him out from all the tribes of Israel for
disaster, according to all the curses of the covenant written in this Book of the
Law.
The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children
forever, so that we may follow all the words of this
law.
If thou shalt
hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the
law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
if you obey the LORD your God by keeping His commandments and statutes that are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel.
So Moses wrote down this law and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi, who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and to all the elders of Israel.
When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.
when all Israel comes before the LORD your God at the place He will choose, you are to read this law in the hearing of all Israel.
Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:
Assemble the people—men, women, children, and the foreigners within your gates—so that they may
listen and learn to fear the LORD your God and to follow carefully all the words of this
law.
And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land
whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.
Then their children who do not know the
law will
listen and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as you live in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”
And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
When Moses had finished writing in a book the words of this law from beginning to end,
Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.
“Take this Book of the Law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, so that it may remain there as a witness against you.
And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I
testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this
law.
he said to them, “Take to heart all these words I
testify among you
today, so that you may command your children to carefully follow all the words of this
law.
And he said, The LORD came from
Sinai, and rose up from
Seir unto them; he
shined forth from mount
Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a
fiery law for them.
He said: “The LORD came from
Sinai and
dawned upon us from
Seir; He
shone forth from Mount
Paran and came with myriads of holy ones, with flaming fire at His right hand.
Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.
the law that Moses gave us, the possession of the assembly of Jacob.
They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.
He will teach Your ordinances to Jacob and Your law to Israel; he will set incense before You and whole burnt offerings on Your altar.
And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the
lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.
He chose the best land for himself, because a ruler’s portion was reserved for him there. He came with the leaders of the people; he administered the LORD’s justice and His ordinances for Israel.”
Only be thou strong and very
courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the
law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest
prosper whithersoever thou goest.
Above all, be strong and very
courageous. Be careful to observe all the
law that My servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may
prosper wherever you go.
This book of the
law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt
meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
This Book of the
Law must not depart from your mouth;
meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. For then you will
prosper and succeed in all you do.
As Moses the servant of the LORD commanded the children of Israel, as it is written in the book of the
law of Moses, an altar of whole stones, over which no man hath lift up any iron: and they offered
thereon burnt offerings unto the LORD, and sacrificed peace offerings.
just as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded the Israelites. He built it according to what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses: “an altar of uncut stones on which no iron tool has been used.” And on it they offered burnt offerings to the LORD, and they sacrificed peace offerings.
And he wrote there upon the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he wrote in the presence of the children of Israel.
And there in the presence of the Israelites, Joshua inscribed on the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he had written.
And afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessings and cursings, according to all that is written in the book of the law.
Afterward, Joshua read
aloud all the words of the
law—the blessings and the curses—according to all that is written in the Book of the
Law.
