north will be
scorched.

everyone from south to
north.

forefront of the lower gate unto the

portico.
And without the inner gate were the chambers of the singers in the inner court, which was at the side of the north gate; and their prospect was toward the south: one at the side of the east gate having the prospect toward the north.

north is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar: these are the sons of

north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the
trespass offering; for the place is holy.
Then the man said to me, “The

But when the people of the land shall come before the LORD in the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it.
When the people of the land come before the LORD at the appointed feasts,
whoever enters by the
north gate to worship must go out by the south gate, and
whoever enters by the south gate must go out by the
north gate. No one is to return through the gate by which he entered, but each must go out by the opposite gate.
After he brought me through the entry, which was at the side of the gate, into the holy chambers of the priests, which looked toward the north: and, behold, there was a place on the two sides westward.

trickling out from the south side.
And this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;
This shall be the boundary of the land:
Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of
Hamath; Hazar-hatticon, which is by the coast of
Hauran.
On the
north side it will extend from the Great Sea by way of Hethlon through Lebo-
hamath to Zedad, Berothah, and Sibraim (which is on the border between Damascus and
Hamath), as far as Hazer-hatticon, which is on the border of
Hauran.
And the border from the sea shall be Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus, and the
north northward, and the border of
Hamath. And this is the
north side.
So the border will run from the Sea to Hazar-enan, along the
northern border of Damascus, with the territory of
Hamath to the
north. This will be the
northern boundary.
Now these are the names of the tribes. From the
north end to the coast of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to
Hamath, Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus
northward, to the coast of
Hamath; for these are his sides east and west; a portion for
Dan.
“Now these are the names of the tribes: At the
northern frontier,
Dan will have one portion bordering the road of Hethlon to Lebo-
hamath and running on to Hazar-enan on the border of Damascus with
Hamath to the
north, and extending from the east side to the west side.
And for them, even for the priests, shall be this holy
oblation; toward the
north five and twenty thousand in length, and toward the west ten thousand in breadth, and toward the east ten thousand in breadth, and toward the south five and twenty thousand in length: and the sanctuary of the LORD shall be in the midst thereof.
This will be the holy portion for the priests. It will be 25,000 cubits long on the north side, 10,000 cubits wide on the west side, 10,000 cubits wide on the east side, and 25,000 cubits long on the south side. In the center will be the sanctuary of the LORD.
And these shall be the measures thereof; the north side four thousand and five hundred, and the south side four thousand and five hundred, and on the east side four thousand and five hundred, and the west side four thousand and five hundred.
and will have these measurements: 4,500 cubits on the north side, 4,500 cubits on the south side, 4,500 cubits on the east side, and 4,500 cubits on the west side.
And the suburbs of the city shall be toward the north two hundred and fifty, and toward the south two hundred and fifty, and toward the east two hundred and fifty, and toward the west two hundred and fifty.
The pastureland of the city will extend 250 cubits to the north, 250 cubits to the south, 250 cubits to the east, and 250 cubits to the west.
And these are the goings out of the city on the north side, four thousand and five hundred measures.
“These will be the exits of the city:
And the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates
northward; one gate of
Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi.
Beginning on the
north side, which will be 4,500 cubits long, the gates of the city will be named after the tribes of Israel. On the
north side there will be three gates: the gate of
Reuben, the gate of Judah, and the gate of Levi.
I saw the ram
pushing westward, and
northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.
I saw the ram charging toward the west and the
north and the south. No animal could stand against him, and there was no
deliverance from his power. He did as he pleased and became great.
And in the end of years they shall join themselves together; for the king’s daughter of the south shall come to the king of the
north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain the power of the arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm: but she shall be given up, and they that brought her, and he that
begat her, and he that strengthened her in these times.
After some years they will form an alliance, and the daughter of the king of the South will go to the king of the
North to seal the agreement. But his daughter will not retain her position of power, nor will his strength
endure. At that time she will be given up, along with her royal
escort and her father and the one who supported her.
But out of a branch of her roots shall one stand up in his estate, which shall come with an army, and shall enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and shall deal against them, and shall prevail:
But one from her family line will rise up in his place, come against the army of the king of the North, and enter his fortress, fighting and prevailing.
And shall also carry
captives into Egypt their gods, with their princes, and with their precious vessels of silver and of gold; and he shall continue more years than the king of the
north.
He will take even their gods
captive to Egypt, with their metal images and their precious vessels of silver and gold. For some years he will stay away from the king of the
North,
And the king of the south shall be moved with
choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the
north: and he shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand.
In a
rage, the king of the South will march out to fight the king of the
North, who will raise a large army, but it will be delivered into the hand of his enemy.
For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches.
For the king of the North will raise another army, larger than the first, and after some years he will advance with a great army and many supplies.
So the king of the
north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most
fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not
withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to
withstand.
Then the king of the
North will come, build up a siege
ramp, and capture a fortified city. The forces of the South will not stand; even their best troops will not be able to resist.
Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land.
The king of the North will return to his land with great wealth, but his heart will be set against the holy covenant; so he will do damage and return to his own land.
And at the time of the end shall the king of the south
push at him: and the king of the
north shall come against him like a
whirlwind, with
chariots, and with
horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
At the time of the end, the king of the South will
engage him in battle, but the king of the
North will storm out against him with
chariots,
horsemen, and many ships,
invading many countries and
sweeping through them like a flood.
But
tidings out of the east and out of the
north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great
fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
But news from the east and the
north will
alarm him, and he will go out with great
fury to destroy many and
devote them to destruction.
But I will remove far off from you the
northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and
desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his
stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.
The
northern army I will drive away from you,
banishing it to a barren and
desolate land, its front ranks into the Eastern Sea, and its rear guard into the Western Sea. And its
stench will rise; its foul
odor will
ascend. For He has done great things.
And they shall
wander from sea to sea, and from the
north even to the east, they shall run to and
fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
People will
stagger from sea to sea and
roam from
north to east, seeking the word of the LORD, but they will not find it.
And he will stretch out his hand against the
north, and destroy Assyria; and will make
Nineveh a
desolation, and dry like a wilderness.
And He will stretch out His hand against the
north and destroy Assyria; He will make
Nineveh a
desolation, as dry as a desert.
Ho, ho, come forth, and
flee from the land of the
north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.

Flee from the land of the
north,” declares the LORD, “for I have scattered you like the four winds of heaven,” declares the LORD.
The black horses which are therein go forth into the
north country; and the white go forth after them; and the
grisled go forth toward the south country.

north, the one with the white horses toward the west, and the one with the
dappled horses toward the south.”
Then
cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the
north country have quieted my spirit in the
north country.

And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall
cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the
north, and half of it toward the south.
On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half the mountain moving to the north and half to the south.
And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.
People will come from east and west and
north and south, and will
recline at the table in the kingdom of God.
And because the
haven was not
commodious to winter in, the more part
advised to depart thence also, if by any means they might attain to Phenice, and there to winter; which is an
haven of
Crete, and lieth toward the south west and
north west.
On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south, and three on the west.
Behold clouds from the east and from the
north unto the south, and they are very
horrible to look upon, full of wrath and storm.

north, he came with ten thousands of his army, the multitude
whereof stopped the torrents, and their
horsemen have covered the hills.
The noise of the
thunder maketh the earth to
tremble: so
doth the
northern storm and the
whirlwind: as birds flying he scattereth the snow, and the falling down thereof is as the lighting of grasshoppers:
When the cold
north wind bloweth, and the water is
congealed into ice, it abideth upon every gathering together of water, and clotheth the water as with a
breastplate.
