But concerning the dead rising, have you not read about the burning
bush in the Book of Moses, how God told him, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?

testifying against You?”
But he denied,
saying, I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest. And he went out into the

demon threw the man down before them all and came out without
harming him.
And they were all
amazed, and spake among themselves,
saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.
All the people were overcome with
amazement and asked one another, “What is this message? With authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”

saying, We have seen strange things to day.
But their
scribes and
Pharisees murmured against his disciples,
saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?

sayings, and doeth them, I will
shew you to whom he is like:
I will show you what he is like who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them:

They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and
saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have
mourned to you, and ye have not
wept.
They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling out to one another: ‘We played the
flute for you, and you did not dance; we
sang a
dirge, and you did not
weep.’
Now when the
Pharisee which had
bidden him saw it, he spake within himself,
saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a
sinner.
When the
Pharisee who had invited Jesus saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, He would know who this is and what kind of woman is touching Him—for she is a
sinner!”
And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?
Then His disciples asked Him what this parable meant.
