Berean Standard Bible BSB Bible
The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou
shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou
shalt not
seethe a
kid in his mother’s milk.
Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the LORD your God. You must not
cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.”
Six days
shall work be done, but on the seventh day there
shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD:
whosoever doeth work therein
shall be put to death.
For six days work may be done, but the seventh day
shall be your holy day, a Sabbath of complete rest to the LORD.
Whoever does any work on that day must be put to death.
Ye
shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.
Do not light a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.”
And every wise hearted among you shall come, and make all that the LORD hath commanded;
Let every skilled
craftsman among you come and make everything that the LORD has commanded:
On the first day of the first month shalt thou set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
“On the first day of the first month you are to set up the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting.
And thou
shalt put therein the ark of the testimony, and cover the ark with the
vail.
Put the ark of the Testimony in it and screen off the ark with the
veil.
And thou
shalt bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it; and thou
shalt bring in the
candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.
Then bring in the table and set out its arrangement; bring in the lampstand as well, and set up its lamps.
And thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the hanging of the door to the tabernacle.
Place the gold altar of incense in front of the ark of the Testimony, and
hang the
curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.
And thou shalt set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
Place the altar of burnt offering in front of the entrance to the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting.
And thou
shalt set the
laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and
shalt put water therein.
And place the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water in it.
And thou
shalt set up the court round about, and
hang up the hanging at the court gate.
And thou
shalt take the
anointing oil, and
anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and
shalt hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and it
shall be holy.
Take the
anointing oil and
anoint the tabernacle and everything in it;
consecrate it along with all its furnishings, and it
shall be holy.
And thou
shalt anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and
sanctify the altar: and it
shall be an altar most holy.
Anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils;
consecrate the altar, and it
shall be most holy.
And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.
Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water.
And thou
shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and
anoint him, and
sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
And you are to
clothe Aaron with the holy garments,
anoint him, and
consecrate him, so that he may serve Me as a priest.
And thou
shalt bring his sons, and
clothe them with coats:
Bring his sons forward and
clothe them with tunics.
And thou
shalt anoint them, as thou
didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office: for their
anointing shall surely be an
everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
Anoint them just as you
anointed their father, so that they may also serve Me as priests. Their
anointing will
qualify them for a permanent priesthood throughout their generations.”
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the LORD, ye
shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the
herd, and of the flock.
“Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When any of you brings an offering to the LORD, you may bring as your offering an animal from the
herd or the flock.
If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the
herd, let him offer a male without
blemish: he
shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.
If one’s offering is a burnt offering from the
herd, he is to present an
unblemished male. He must bring it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting for its acceptance before the LORD.
And he
shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it
shall be accepted for him to make
atonement for him.
He is to lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, so it can be accepted on his behalf to make
atonement for him.
And he
shall kill the
bullock before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron’s sons,
shall bring the blood, and
sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
And he
shall slaughter the young bull before the LORD, and Aaron’s sons the priests are to present the blood and
sprinkle it on all sides of the altar at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
And he
shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into his pieces.
Next, he is to skin the burnt offering and cut it into pieces.
And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire:
The sons of Aaron the priest shall put a fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.
And the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:
Then Aaron’s sons the priests are to arrange the pieces, including the head and the fat,
atop the burning wood on the altar.
But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
The
entrails and legs must be washed with water, and the priest
shall burn all of it on the altar as a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And if his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he
shall bring it a male without
blemish.
If, however, one’s offering is a burnt offering from the flock—from the sheep or goats—he is to present an
unblemished male.
And he
shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron’s sons,
shall sprinkle his blood round about upon the altar.
He
shall slaughter it on the north side of the altar before the LORD, and Aaron’s sons the priests are to
sprinkle its blood against the altar on all sides.
And he shall cut it into his pieces, with his head and his fat: and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:
He is to cut the animal into pieces, and the priest
shall arrange them, including the head and fat,
atop the burning wood that is on the altar.
But he shall wash the inwards and the legs with water: and the priest shall bring it all, and burn it upon the altar: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
The
entrails and legs must be washed with water, and the priest
shall bring all of it and burn it on the altar; it is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And if the burnt sacrifice for his offering to the LORD be of fowls, then he shall bring his offering of turtledoves, or of young pigeons.
If, instead, one’s offering to the LORD is a burnt offering of birds, he is to present a
turtledove or a young
pigeon.
And the priest
shall bring it unto the altar, and
wring off his head, and burn it on the altar; and the blood thereof
shall be
wrung out at the side of the altar:
Then the priest shall bring it to the altar, twist off its head, and burn it on the altar; its blood should be drained out on the side of the altar.
And he
shall pluck away his crop with his feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, by the place of the ashes:
And he is to remove the crop with its contents and throw it to the east side of the altar, in the place for ashes.
And he
shall cleave it with the wings thereof, but
shall not divide it
asunder: and the priest
shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
He
shall tear it open by its wings, without dividing the bird completely. And the priest is to burn it on the altar
atop the burning wood. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And when any will offer a meat offering unto the LORD, his offering
shall be of fine flour; and he
shall pour oil upon it, and put
frankincense thereon:
“When
anyone brings a grain offering to the LORD, his offering must consist of fine flour. He is to pour olive oil on it, put
frankincense on it,
And he
shall bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests: and he
shall take
thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil thereof, with all the
frankincense thereof; and the priest
shall burn the
memorial of it upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD:
and bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests. The priest
shall take a handful of the flour and oil, together with all the
frankincense, and burn this as a
memorial portion on the altar, an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And the
remnant of the meat offerings
shall be Aaron’s and his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.
The remainder of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD.
If your offering is a grain offering prepared on a
griddle, it must be
unleavened bread made of fine flour mixed with oil.
Thou
shalt part it in pieces, and pour oil
thereon: it is a meat offering.
Crumble it and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering.
And if thy
oblation be a meat offering
baken in the
frying pan, it
shall be made of fine flour with oil.
If your offering is a grain offering
cooked in a pan, it must consist of fine flour with oil.
And thou shalt bring the meat offering that is made of these things unto the LORD: and when it is presented unto the priest, he shall bring it unto the altar.
When you bring to the LORD the grain offering made in any of these ways, it is to be presented to the priest, and he shall take it to the altar.
And the priest
shall take from the meat offering a
memorial thereof, and
shall burn it upon the altar: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
The priest is to remove the
memorial portion from the grain offering and burn it on the altar as an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And that which is left of the meat offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.
But the remainder of the grain offering shall belong to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings made by fire to the LORD.
No meat offering, which ye
shall bring unto the LORD,
shall be made with
leaven: for ye
shall burn no
leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of the LORD made by fire.
No grain offering that you present to the LORD may be made with
leaven, for you are not to burn any
leaven or honey as an offering made by fire to the LORD.
As for the
oblation of the firstfruits, ye
shall offer them unto the LORD: but they
shall not be burnt on the altar for a sweet savour.
You may bring them to the LORD as an offering of firstfruits, but they are not to be offered on the altar as a pleasing
aroma.
And every
oblation of thy meat offering
shalt thou season with salt; neither
shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou
shalt offer salt.
And you shall season each of your grain offerings with salt. You must not leave the salt of the covenant of your God out of your grain offering; you are to add salt to each of your offerings.
And if thou offer a meat offering of thy firstfruits unto the LORD, thou shalt offer for the meat offering of thy firstfruits green ears of corn dried by the fire, even corn beaten out of full ears.
If you bring a grain offering of firstfruits to the LORD, you
shall offer
crushed heads of new grain
roasted on the fire.
And you are to put oil and
frankincense on it; it is a grain offering.
And the priest
shall burn the
memorial of it, part of the beaten corn thereof, and part of the oil thereof, with all the
frankincense thereof: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
The priest
shall then burn the
memorial portion of the
crushed grain and the oil, together with all its
frankincense, as an offering made by fire to the LORD.
And if his
oblation be a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offer it of the
herd; whether it be a male or female, he
shall offer it without
blemish before the LORD.
“If one’s offering is a peace offering and he offers an animal from the
herd, whether male or female, he must present it without
blemish before the LORD.
And he
shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron’s sons the priests
shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.
He is to lay his hand on the head of the offering and slaughter it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron’s sons the priests
shall sprinkle the blood on all sides of the altar.
And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
From the peace offering he is to bring an offering made by fire to the LORD: the fat that covers the
entrails, all the fat that is on them,
And the two
kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the
caul above the liver, with the
kidneys, it
shall he take away.
both
kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the
lobe of the liver, which he is to remove with the
kidneys.
And Aaron’s sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt sacrifice, which is upon the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
Then Aaron’s sons are to burn it on the altar
atop the burnt offering that is on the burning wood, as an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering unto the LORD be of the flock; male or female, he
shall offer it without
blemish.
If, however, one’s peace offering to the LORD is from the flock, he must present a male or female without
blemish.
If he offer a lamb for his offering, then shall he offer it before the LORD.
If he is presenting a lamb for his offering, he must present it before the LORD.
And he
shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron’s sons
shall sprinkle the blood thereof round about upon the altar.
He is to lay his hand on the head of his offering and slaughter it in front of the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron’s sons
shall sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar.
And he
shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat thereof, and the whole
rump, it
shall he take off hard by the
backbone; and the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
And from the peace offering he
shall bring an offering made by fire to the LORD consisting of its fat: the entire fat tail cut off close to the
backbone, the fat that covers the
entrails, all the fat that is on them,
And the two
kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the
caul above the liver, with the
kidneys, it
shall he take away.
both
kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the
lobe of the liver, which he is to remove with the
kidneys.
And the priest shall burn it upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire unto the LORD.
Then the priest is to burn them on the altar as food, an offering made by fire to the LORD.
And if his offering be a goat, then he shall offer it before the LORD.
If one’s offering is a goat, he is to present it before the LORD.
And he
shall lay his hand upon the head of it, and kill it before the tabernacle of the congregation: and the sons of Aaron
shall sprinkle the blood thereof upon the altar round about.
He must lay his hand on its head and slaughter it in front of the Tent of Meeting. Then Aaron’s sons
shall sprinkle its blood on all sides of the altar.
And he shall offer thereof his offering, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
And from his offering he
shall present an offering made by fire to the LORD: the fat that covers the
entrails, all the fat that is on them,
And the two
kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the
caul above the liver, with the
kidneys, it
shall he take away.
both
kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the
lobe of the liver, which he is to remove with the
kidneys.
And the priest shall burn them upon the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire for a sweet savour: all the fat is the LORD’S.
Then the priest is to burn the food on the altar as an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma. All the fat is the LORD’s.
It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.
This is a permanent statute for the generations to come, wherever you live: You must not eat any fat or any blood.”
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:
“Tell the Israelites to do as follows with one who sins
unintentionally against any of the LORD’s commandments and does what is forbidden by them:
And he
shall bring the
bullock unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD; and
shall lay his hand upon the
bullock’s head, and kill the
bullock before the LORD.
He must bring the bull to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting before the LORD, lay his hand on the bull’s head, and slaughter it before the LORD.
And the priest that is
anointed shall take of the
bullock’s blood, and bring it to the tabernacle of the congregation:
Then the
anointed priest
shall take some of the bull’s blood and bring it into the Tent of Meeting.
And the priest
shall dip his finger in the blood, and
sprinkle of the blood seven times before the LORD, before the
vail of the sanctuary.
The priest is to dip his finger in the blood and
sprinkle some of it seven times before the LORD, in front of the
veil of the sanctuary.
And the priest
shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar of sweet incense before the LORD, which is in the tabernacle of the congregation: and
shall pour all the blood of the
bullock at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
The priest must then put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of
fragrant incense that is before the LORD in the Tent of Meeting. And he is to pour out the rest of the bull’s blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
And he
shall take off from it all the fat of the
bullock for the sin offering; the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,
Then he
shall remove all the fat from the bull of the sin offering—the fat that covers the
entrails, all the fat that is on them,
And the two
kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, which is by the flanks, and the
caul above the liver, with the
kidneys, it
shall he take away,
both
kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the
lobe of the liver, which he is to remove with the
kidneys—
As it was taken off from the
bullock of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest
shall burn them upon the altar of the burnt offering.
just as the fat is removed from the ox of the peace offering. Then the priest shall burn them on the altar of burnt offering.
Even the whole
bullock shall he carry forth without the camp unto a clean place, where the ashes are poured out, and burn him on the wood with fire: where the ashes are poured out
shall he be burnt.
all the rest of the bull—he must take outside the camp to a
ceremonially clean place where the ashes are poured out, and there he must burn it on a wood fire on the ash
heap.
When the sin, which they have
sinned against it, is known, then the congregation
shall offer a young
bullock for the sin, and bring him before the tabernacle of the congregation.
when they become aware of the sin they have committed, then the assembly must bring a young bull as a sin offering and present it before the Tent of Meeting.
And the elders of the congregation
shall lay their hands upon the head of the
bullock before the LORD: and the
bullock shall be killed before the LORD.
The elders of the congregation are to lay their hands on the bull’s head before the LORD, and it shall be slaughtered before the LORD.
And the priest that is
anointed shall bring of the
bullock’s blood to the tabernacle of the congregation:
Then the
anointed priest is to bring some of the bull’s blood into the Tent of Meeting,
And the priest
shall dip his finger in some of the blood, and
sprinkle it seven times before the LORD, even before the
vail.
and he is to dip his finger in the blood and
sprinkle it seven times before the LORD in front of the
veil.
And he shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar which is before the LORD, that is in the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall pour out all the blood at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
He is also to put some of the blood on the horns of the altar that is before the LORD in the Tent of Meeting, and he must pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
And he shall take all his fat from him, and burn it upon the altar.
And he is to remove all the fat from it and burn it on the altar.
And he
shall do with the
bullock as he did with the
bullock for a sin offering, so
shall he do with this: and the priest
shall make an
atonement for them, and it
shall be
forgiven them.
He
shall offer this bull just as he did the bull for the sin offering; in this way the priest will make
atonement on their behalf, and they will be
forgiven.
And he
shall carry forth the
bullock without the camp, and burn him as he burned the first
bullock: it is a sin offering for the congregation.
Then he is to take the bull outside the camp and burn it, just as he burned the first bull. It is the sin offering for the assembly.
Or if his sin, wherein he hath
sinned, come to his knowledge; he
shall bring his offering, a
kid of the goats, a male without
blemish:
When he becomes aware of the sin he has committed, he must bring an
unblemished male goat as his offering.
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the LORD: it is a sin offering.
He is to lay his hand on the head of the goat and slaughter it at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered before the LORD. It is a sin offering.
And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out his blood at the bottom of the altar of burnt offering.
Then the priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
And he
shall burn all his fat upon the altar, as the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings: and the priest
shall make an
atonement for him as concerning his sin, and it
shall be
forgiven him.
He must burn all its fat on the altar, like the fat of the peace offerings; thus the priest will make
atonement for that man’s sin, and he will be
forgiven.
Or if his sin, which he hath
sinned, come to his knowledge: then he
shall bring his offering, a
kid of the goats, a female without
blemish, for his sin which he hath
sinned.
When he becomes aware of the sin he has committed, he must bring an
unblemished female goat as his offering for that sin.
And he
shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and
slay the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering.
He is to lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it at the place of the burnt offering.
And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar.
Then the priest is to take some of its blood with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
And he
shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat is taken away from off the sacrifice of peace offerings; and the priest
shall burn it upon the altar for a sweet savour unto the LORD; and the priest
shall make an
atonement for him, and it
shall be
forgiven him.
Then he is to remove all the fat, just as it is removed from the peace offering, and the priest is to burn it on the altar as a pleasing
aroma to the LORD. In this way the priest will make
atonement for him, and he will be
forgiven.
And if he bring a lamb for a sin offering, he
shall bring it a female without
blemish.
If, however, he brings a lamb as a sin offering, he must bring an
unblemished female.
And he
shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and
slay it for a sin offering in the place where they kill the burnt offering
And he is to lay his hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it as a sin offering at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered.
And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar:
Then the priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar.
And he
shall take away all the fat thereof, as the fat of the lamb is taken away from the sacrifice of the peace offerings; and the priest
shall burn them upon the altar, according to the offerings made by fire unto the LORD: and the priest
shall make an
atonement for his sin that he hath committed, and it
shall be
forgiven him.
And he
shall remove all the fat, just as the fat of the lamb is removed from the peace offerings, and he
shall burn it on the altar along with the offerings made by fire to the LORD. In this way the priest will make
atonement for him for the sin he has committed, and he will be
forgiven.
And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of
swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he
shall bear his iniquity.
“If someone sins by failing to
testify when he hears a public charge about something he has witnessed, whether he has seen it or learned of it, he
shall bear the iniquity.
Or if a soul touch any unclean thing, whether it be a
carcase of an unclean beast, or a
carcase of unclean cattle, or the
carcase of unclean
creeping things, and if it be hidden from him; he also
shall be unclean, and guilty.
Or if a person touches anything unclean—whether the
carcass of any unclean wild animal or
livestock or
crawling creature—even if he is unaware of it, he is unclean and guilty.
Or if he touch the uncleanness of man,
whatsoever uncleanness it be that a man
shall be
defiled withal, and it be
hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he
shall be guilty.
Or if he touches human uncleanness—anything by which one becomes unclean—even if he is unaware of it, when he realizes it, he is guilty.
Or if a soul
swear,
pronouncing with his lips to do evil, or to do good,
whatsoever it be that a man
shall pronounce with an oath, and it be
hid from him; when he knoweth of it, then he
shall be guilty in one of these.
Or if someone swears
thoughtlessly with his lips to do anything good or evil—in whatever matter a man may
rashly pronounce an oath—even if he is unaware of it, when he realizes it, he is guilty in the matter.
