And
Ahab said to
Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold
thyself to work evil in the
sight of the LORD.
When
Elijah arrived,
Ahab said to him, “So you have found me out, my enemy.” He replied, “I have found you out because you have sold
yourself to do evil in the
sight of the LORD.
But there was none like unto
Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the
sight of the LORD, whom
Jezebel his wife
stirred up.
(Surely there was never one like
Ahab, who sold himself to do evil in the
sight of the LORD, incited by his wife
Jezebel.
And he did evil in the
sight of the LORD, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin:

sight of the LORD and walked in the ways of his father and mother and of
Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin.
And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before
Elijah, and
besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy
sight.
So the king sent a third captain with his fifty men. And the third captain went up, fell on his knees before
Elijah, and
begged him, “Man of God, may my life and the lives of these fifty servants please be precious in your
sight.
Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former
fifties with their
fifties: therefore let my life now be precious in thy
sight.
Behold, fire has come down from heaven and consumed the first two captains of fifty, with all their men. But now may my life be precious in your sight.”
And he wrought evil in the
sight of the LORD; but not like his father, and like his mother: for he put away the image of
Baal that his father had made.
And he did evil in the
sight of the LORD, but not as his father and mother had done. He removed the sacred
pillar of
Baal that his father had made.
And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.
This is a simple matter in the sight of the LORD, and He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.
Now
Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given
deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a
leper.
Now
Naaman, the commander of the army of the king of
Aram, was a great man in his master’s
sight and highly regarded, for through him the LORD had given victory to
Aram. And he was a mighty man of
valor, but he was a
leper.

Ahab: for the daughter of
Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the
sight of the LORD.

Ahab had done. For he married a daughter of
Ahab and did evil in the
sight of the LORD.
And he walked in the way of the house of
Ahab, and did evil in the
sight of the LORD, as did the house of
Ahab: for he was the son in law of the house of
Ahab.
And
Ahaziah walked in the ways of the house of
Ahab and did evil in the
sight of the LORD like the house of
Ahab, for he was a son-in-law of the house of
Ahab.
And he that was over the house, and he that was over the city, the elders also, and the bringers up of the children, sent to
Jehu, saying, We are thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt
bid us; we will not make any king: do thou that which is good in thine eyes.
So the palace
administrator, the
overseer of the city, the elders, and the guardians sent a message to
Jehu: “We are your servants, and we will do whatever you say. We will not make

sight.”
And the LORD said unto
Jehu, Because thou hast done well in
executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of
Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.
Nevertheless, the LORD said to
Jehu, “Because you have done well in carrying out what is right in My
sight and have done to the house of
Ahab all that was in My heart, four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel.”
And Jehoash did that which was right in the
sight of the LORD all his days wherein Jehoiada the priest
instructed him.
And
Joash did what was right in the eyes of the LORD all the days he was
instructed by Jehoiada the priest.
And he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD, and followed the sins of
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, which made Israel to sin; he departed not
therefrom.
And he did evil in the
sight of the LORD and followed the sins that
Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit; he did not turn away from them.

sight of the LORD; he departed not from all the sins of
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel sin: but he walked therein.
And he did evil in the
sight of the LORD and did not turn away from all the sins that
Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit, but he walked in them.
And he did that which was right in the
sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he did according to all things as
Joash his father did.
And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, but not as his father David had done. He did everything as his father
Joash had done.
And he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD: he departed not from all the sins of
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
And he did evil in the
sight of the LORD and did not turn away from all the sins that
Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
And he did that which was right in the
sight of the LORD, according to all that his father
Amaziah had done;
And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father
Amaziah had done.
And he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
And he did evil in the
sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done. He did not turn away from the sins that
Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
And he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD: he departed not all his days from the sins of
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
And he did evil in the
sight of the LORD, and throughout his reign he did not turn away from the sins that
Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
And he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
And he did evil in the
sight of the LORD and did not turn away from the sins that
Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.

sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

sight of the LORD and did not turn away from the sins that
Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.
And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Uzziah had done.
Twenty years old was
Ahaz when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and did not that which was right in the
sight of the LORD his God, like David his father.
Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. And unlike David his father, he did not do what was right in the eyes of the LORD his God.
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, but not as the kings of Israel that were before him.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, but not like the kings of Israel who preceded him.
And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used
divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the
sight of the LORD, to
provoke him to anger.
They sacrificed their sons and daughters in the fire and practiced
divination and
soothsaying. They devoted themselves to doing evil in the
sight of the LORD,
provoking Him to anger.
Therefore the LORD was very
angry with Israel, and removed them out of his
sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.
So the LORD was very
angry with Israel, and He removed them from His presence. Only the tribe of Judah remained,
And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and
afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his
sight.
So the LORD rejected all the descendants of Israel. He
afflicted them and delivered them into the hands of plunderers, until He had banished them from His presence.
Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.
Finally, the LORD removed Israel from His presence, as He had declared through all His servants the prophets. So Israel was exiled from their homeland into Assyria, where they are to this day.
And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father did.
And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father David had done.
And this shall be a
sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such things as grow of themselves, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year
sow ye, and
reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruits thereof.
And this will be a
sign to you, O
Hezekiah: This year you will eat what grows on its own, and in the second year what springs from the same. But in the third year you will
sow and
reap; you will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
I
beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy
sight. And
Hezekiah wept sore.
“Please, O LORD, remember how I have walked before You faithfully and with wholehearted devotion; I have done what was good in Your
sight.” And
Hezekiah wept bitterly.
And
Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the
sign that the LORD will
heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?
Now
Hezekiah had asked Isaiah, “What will be the
sign that the LORD will
heal me and that I will go up to the house of the LORD on the third day?”
And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?
And Isaiah had replied, “This will be a sign to you from the LORD that He will do what He has promised: Would you like the shadow to go forward ten steps, or back ten steps?”
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD by following the abominations of the nations that the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.
And he made his son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the
sight of the LORD, to
provoke him to anger.
He sacrificed his own son in the fire, practiced
sorcery and
divination, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did great evil in the
sight of the LORD,
provoking Him to anger.
Because they have done that which was evil in my
sight, and have
provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.
because they have done evil in My
sight and have
provoked Me to anger from the day their fathers came out of Egypt until this day.’”
Moreover
Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin
wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD.
Moreover,
Manasseh shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem from end to end, in addition to the sin that he had caused Judah to commit, doing evil in the
sight of the LORD.
And he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD, as his father
Manasseh did.
And he did evil in the
sight of the LORD, as his father
Manasseh had done.
And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.
And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD and walked in all the ways of his father David; he did not turn aside to the right or to the left.
And the LORD said, I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.
For the LORD had said, “I will remove Judah from My
sight, just as I removed Israel. I will
reject this city Jerusalem, which I chose, and the temple of which I said, ‘My Name shall be there.’”
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, just as his fathers had done.
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, just as his fathers had done.
Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his
sight, for the sins of
Manasseh, according to all that he did;
Surely this happened to Judah at the LORD’s command, to remove them from His presence because of the sins of
Manasseh and all that he had done,
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, just as his father had done.
And he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD, according to all that
Jehoiakim had done.
And he burnt the house of the LORD, and the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, and every great man’s house burnt he with fire.
He burned down the house of the LORD, the royal palace, and all the houses of Jerusalem—every
significant building.
The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the
firstborn of Judah, was evil in the
sight of the LORD; and he
slew him.
The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him by Bath-shua the
Canaanite. Er, Judah’s
firstborn, was wicked in the
sight of the LORD, who put him to death.
Be of good courage, and let us
behave ourselves
valiantly for our people, and for the cities of our God: and let the LORD do that which is good in his
sight.
Be strong and let us fight
bravely for our people and for the cities of our God. May the LORD do what is good in His
sight.”
And God was displeased with this thing; therefore he
smote Israel.
This command was also evil in the sight of God; so He struck Israel.
But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.
but this word of the LORD came to me: ‘You have shed much blood and
waged great wars. You are not to build a house for My Name because you have shed so much blood on the ground before Me.
Now therefore in the
sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the
audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.
So now in the
sight of all Israel, the assembly of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God, keep and seek out all the commandments of the LORD your God, so that you may possess this good land and leave it as an inheritance to your descendants
forever.
Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.
Then David blessed the LORD in the
sight of all the assembly and said: “May You be blessed, O LORD, God of our father Israel, from
everlasting to
everlasting.
And the LORD
magnified Solomon exceedingly in the
sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.
The LORD highly
exalted Solomon in the
sight of all Israel and bestowed on him royal majesty such as had not been bestowed on any king in Israel before him.
Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my
sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take
heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.
Therefore now, O LORD, God of Israel, keep for Your servant, my father David, what You promised when You said: ‘You will never fail to have a man to sit before Me on the throne of Israel, if only your descendants guard their way to walk in My law as you have walked before Me.’
Then will I
pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have
sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my
sight, and will make it to be a
proverb and a
byword among all nations.
then I will
uproot Israel from the soil I have given them, and I will
banish from My presence this temple I have
sanctified for My Name. I will make it an object of
scorn and
ridicule among all the peoples.
And he walked in the way of
Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the
sight of the LORD.
And
Jehoshaphat walked in the way of his father
Asa and did not turn away from it; he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD.
And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of
Ahab: for he had the daughter of
Ahab to wife: and he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD.
And Jehoram walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, just as the house of
Ahab had done. For he married a daughter of
Ahab and did evil in the
sight of the LORD.
Wherefore he did evil in the
sight of the LORD like the house of
Ahab: for they were his counsellors after the death of his father to his destruction.
And he did evil in the
sight of the LORD, as the house of
Ahab had done, for to his destruction they were his counselors after the death of his father.
And
Joash did that which was right in the
sight of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the priest.
And
Joash did what was right in the eyes of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the priest.

And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, but not wholeheartedly.
And he did that which was right in the
sight of the LORD, according to all that his father
Amaziah did.
And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father
Amaziah had done.
And he did that which was right in the
sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Uzziah did:
howbeit he entered not into the temple of the LORD. And the people did yet corruptly.
And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Uzziah had done. In addition, he did not enter the temple of the LORD. But the people still
behaved corruptly.
Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the
sight of the LORD, like David his father:
Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. And unlike David his father, he did not do what was right in the eyes of the LORD.
And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that David his father had done.
And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father David had done.
For our fathers have
trespassed, and done that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD our God, and have
forsaken him, and have turned away their faces from the
habitation of the LORD, and turned their backs.
For our fathers were unfaithful and did evil in the sight of the LORD our God. They abandoned Him, turned their faces away from the dwelling place of the LORD, and turned their backs on Him.
And many brought gifts unto the LORD to Jerusalem, and presents to
Hezekiah king of Judah: so that he was
magnified in the
sight of all nations from
thenceforth.
Many brought offerings to Jerusalem for the LORD and valuable gifts for
Hezekiah king of Judah, and from then on he was
exalted in the eyes of all nations.
In those days
Hezekiah was sick to the death, and prayed unto the LORD: and he spake unto him, and he gave him a
sign.
In those days
Hezekiah became
mortally ill. So he prayed to the LORD, who spoke to him and gave him a
sign.
But did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD by following the abominations of the nations that the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.
And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of
Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used
witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the
sight of the LORD, to
provoke him to anger.
He sacrificed his sons in the fire in the Valley of
Hinnom. He practiced
sorcery,
divination, and
witchcraft, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did great evil in the
sight of the LORD,
provoking Him to anger.
But he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD, as did
Manasseh his father: for Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which
Manasseh his father had made, and served them;
And he did evil in the
sight of the LORD, as his father
Manasseh had done. Amon served and sacrificed to all the idols that his father
Manasseh had made,
And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of David his father, and declined neither to the right hand, nor to the left.
And he did what was right in the eyes of the LORD and walked in the ways of his father David; he did not turn aside to the right or to the left.
Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD his God.

sight of the LORD his God.
Jehoiachin was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the
sight of the LORD.

sight of the LORD.
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the LORD.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD his God and did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet, who spoke for the LORD.
For we were
bondmen; yet our God hath not
forsaken us in our
bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us in the
sight of the kings of Persia, to give us a
reviving, to set up the house of our God, and to repair the desolations thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
Though we are slaves, our God has not
forsaken us in our
bondage, but He has extended to us grace in the
sight of the kings of Persia, giving us new life to rebuild the house of our God and repair its ruins, and giving us a wall of protection in Judah and Jerusalem.
O Lord, I
beseech thee, let now thine ear be
attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and
prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the
sight of this man. For I was the king’s
cupbearer.
O Lord, may Your ear be
attentive to my prayer and to the prayers of Your servants who delight to
revere Your name. Give Your servant success this day, I pray, and grant him mercy in the
sight of this man.” (At that time I was the
cupbearer to the king.)
And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy
sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers’
sepulchres, that I may build it.
and answered the king, “If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, I ask that you send me to Judah, to the city where my fathers are buried, so that I may rebuild it.”
And cover not their iniquity, and let not their sin be
blotted out from before thee: for they have
provoked thee to anger before the builders.
Do not cover up their iniquity or let their sin be
blotted out from Your
sight, for they have
provoked the builders.
And
Ezra opened the book in the
sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up:
Ezra opened the book in full view of all the people, since he was standing above them all, and as he opened it, all the people stood up.
And shewedst
signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them. So
didst thou get thee a name, as it is this day.
You performed
signs and wonders against Pharaoh, all his officials, and all the people of his land, for You knew they had acted with
arrogance against our fathers. You made a name for
Yourself that endures to this day.
But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and
cried unto thee, thou heardest them from heaven; and many times
didst thou deliver them according to thy
mercies;
But as soon as they had rest, they again did evil in Your
sight. So You abandoned them to the hands of their enemies, who had dominion over them. When they
cried out to You again, You heard from heaven, and You delivered them many times in Your
compassion.
Now when the turn of
Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of
Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s
chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And
Esther obtained favour in the
sight of all them that looked upon her.
Now
Esther was the daughter of Abihail, the uncle from whom
Mordecai had adopted her as his own daughter. And when it was her turn to go to the king, she did not ask for anything except what Hegai, the king’s trusted official in charge of the
harem, had
advised. And
Esther found favor in the eyes of
everyone who saw her.
And the king loved
Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his
sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
And the king loved
Esther more than all the other women, and she found grace and favor in his
sight more than all of the other virgins. So he placed the royal crown upon her head and made her queen in place of Vashti.
And the king took his ring from his hand, and gave it unto
Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews’ enemy.
So the king removed the
signet ring from his finger and gave it to
Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of the Jews.
Then were the king’s
scribes called on the
thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that
Haman had commanded unto the king’s lieutenants, and to the governors that were over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language; in the name of king
Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king’s ring.
On the
thirteenth day of the first month, the royal
scribes were summoned and the order was written exactly as
Haman commanded the royal satraps, the governors of each province, and the officials of each people, in the
script of each province and the language of every people. It was written in the name of King
Xerxes and sealed with the royal
signet ring.
And it was so, when the king saw
Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his
sight: and the king held out to
Esther the golden
sceptre that was in his hand. So
Esther drew near, and touched the top of the
sceptre.
As soon as the king saw Queen
Esther standing in the court, she found favor in his
sight. The king extended the gold
scepter in his hand toward
Esther, and she approached and touched the
tip of the
scepter.
If I have found favour in the
sight of the king, and if it please the king to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king and
Haman come to the
banquet that I shall prepare for them, and I will do to
morrow as the king hath said.
If I have found favor in the
sight of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and
fulfill my request, may the king and
Haman come
tomorrow to the
banquet I will prepare for them. Then I will answer the king’s question.”
Then
Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy
sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:
Queen
Esther replied, “If I have found favor in your
sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, grant me my life as my petition, and the lives of my people as my request.
And said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his
sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by
Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king’s provinces:
“If it pleases the king,” she said, “and if I have found favor in his
sight, and the matter seems proper to the king, and I am pleasing in his
sight, may an order be written to
revoke the letters that the scheming
Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, wrote to destroy the Jews in all the king’s provinces.
Write ye also for the Jews, as it liketh you, in the king’s name, and seal it with the king’s ring: for the writing which is written in the king’s name, and sealed with the king’s ring, may no man reverse.
