wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is

wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of
hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy

took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and
purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and
sanctified it, to make
reconciliation upon it.

took some of the blood, and applied it with his finger to all four horns of the altar,
purifying the altar. He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it so that
atonement could be made on it.
And he
took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and
caul above the liver, and the two
kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned it upon the altar.

took all the fat that was on the
entrails, the
lobe of the liver, and both
kidneys and their fat, and burned it all on the altar.
And he
slew it; and Moses
took of the blood of it, and put it upon the
tip of Aaron’s right ear, and upon the
thumb of his right hand, and upon the great
toe of his right foot.
Moses slaughtered the ram and
took some of its blood and put it on Aaron’s right earlobe, on the
thumb of his right hand, and on the
big toe of his right foot.

took the fat, and the
rump, and all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the
caul above the liver, and the two

ordination offering, a pleasing
aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD.

took of the

Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense, and offered unauthorized fire before the LORD, contrary to His command.
Breach for breach, eye for eye,
tooth for
tooth: as he hath caused a
blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.

But if he be poorer than thy
estimation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall value him; according to his ability that

vow can afford.

shekel.

And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
They set out this first time according to the LORD’s command through Moses.

too burdensome for me.

took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they
prophesied, and did not cease.

took some of the Spirit that was on Moses and placed that Spirit on the seventy elders. As the Spirit rested on them, they
prophesied—but they never did so again.
And they came unto the
brook of
Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one
cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.

took men:
Now
Korah son of Izhar, the son of
Kohath son of Levi, along with some Reubenites—Dathan and
Abiram, sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth—conducted
And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take
too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up
yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?
They came together against Moses and Aaron and told them, “You have taken
too much upon
yourselves! For
everyone in the entire congregation is holy, and the LORD is in their midst. Why then do you
exalt yourselves above the assembly of the LORD?”
And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to
morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD
doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take
too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.
and
tomorrow you are to place fire and incense in them in the presence of the LORD. Then the man the LORD chooses will be the one who is holy. It is you sons of Levi who have taken
too much upon
yourselves!”
And they
took every man his
censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense
thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.

censer, put fire and incense in it, and stood with Moses and Aaron at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

And
Eleazar the priest
took the
brasen censers,

took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an

bathe his body in water, and he
too will be
ceremonially unclean until evening.
And Moses took the rod from before the LORD, as he commanded him.

And when king
Arad the
Canaanite, which dwelt in the south, heard tell that Israel came by the way of the
spies; then he fought against Israel, and
took some of them prisoners.
When the
Canaanite king of
Arad, who lived in the Negev, heard that Israel was coming along the road to Atharim, he attacked Israel and captured some prisoners.
And Israel
smote him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from
Arnon unto
Jabbok, even unto the children of
Ammon: for the border of the children of
Ammon was strong.
And Israel put him to the sword and
took possession of his land, from the
Arnon to the
Jabbok—but only up to the border of the
Ammonites, because it was fortified.
And Israel
took all these cities: and Israel dwelt in all the cities of the
Amorites, in
Heshbon, and in all the villages thereof.
Israel captured all the cities of the
Amorites and occupied them, including
Heshbon and all its villages.
And Moses sent to
spy out Jaazer, and they
took the villages thereof, and drove out the
Amorites that were there.
After Moses had sent
spies to Jazer, Israel captured its villages and drove out the
Amorites who were there.
So they
smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his land.
So they struck down
Og, along with his sons and his whole army, until no
remnant was left. And they
took possession of his land.
Come now therefore, I pray thee,
curse me this people; for they are
too mighty for me:
peradventure I shall prevail, that we may
smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I
wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is
cursed.
So please come now and put a
curse on this people, because they are
too mighty for me. Perhaps I may be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land; for I know that those you
bless are blessed, and those you
curse are
cursed.”
And it came to pass on the
morrow, that Balak
took Balaam, and brought him up into the high places of

And he
took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from
Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come,

defy Israel.
And
Balaam lifted up an
oracle, saying: “Balak brought me from
Aram, the king of Moab from the mountains of the east. ‘Come,’ he said, ‘put a
curse on Jacob for me; come and
denounce Israel!’
And Balak said unto
Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I
took thee to
curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.
Then Balak said to
Balaam, “What have you done to me? I brought you here to
curse my enemies, and behold, you have only blessed them!”
And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of
Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a
bullock and a ram on every altar.
So Balak
took him to the field of Zophim, to the top of
Pisgah, where he built seven altars and offered a bull and a ram on each altar.
And he
took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear;
hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:
Then
Balaam lifted up an
oracle, saying: “Arise, O Balak, and
listen; give ear to me, O son of Zippor.
And Balak brought
Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Jeshimon.
And Balak
took Balaam to the top of Peor, which overlooks the wasteland.
And he
took up his parable, and said,
Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
and he lifted up an
oracle, saying: “This is the prophecy of
Balaam son of Beor, the prophecy of a man whose eyes are open,
And he
took up his parable, and said,
Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
Then
Balaam lifted up an
oracle, saying, “This is the prophecy of
Balaam son of Beor, the prophecy of a man whose eyes are open,

And he looked on the
Kenites, and
took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock.
Next he saw the
Kenites and lifted up an
oracle, saying: “Your dwelling place is secure, and your nest is set in a
cliff.
And he
took up his parable, and said,
Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!
Once more
Balaam lifted up an
oracle, saying: “
Ah, who can live unless God has ordained it?
