I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall
rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your high ways shall be
desolate.
I will send wild animals against you to
rob you of your children, destroy your
livestock, and reduce your numbers,
until your roads lie
desolate.
But if he
sanctify his field after the jubile, then the priest shall
reckon unto him the money according to the years that remain, even unto the year of the jubile, and it shall be
abated from thy
estimation.
But if he consecrates his field after the
Jubilee, the priest is to
calculate the price in proportion to the years left
until the next Year of
Jubilee, so that your
valuation will be reduced.
From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.
men from thirty to fifty years old—
everyone who is qualified to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.
From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.
from thirty to fifty years old, counting
everyone who comes to serve in the work at the Tent of Meeting.
All the days of the
vow of his separation there shall no
razor come upon his head:
until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto the LORD, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.
For the entire period of his
vow of separation, no
razor shall pass over his head. He must be holy
until the time of his separation to the LORD is complete; he must let the hair of his head grow long.
And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you.
“Wait here until I find out what the LORD commands concerning you,” Moses replied.
They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the
passover they shall keep it.
they may not leave any of it
until morning or break any of its bones. They must observe the
Passover according to all its statutes.
And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.
On the day that the tabernacle, the Tent of the Testimony, was set up, the cloud covered it and appeared like fire above the tabernacle from evening until morning.
And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.
Sometimes the cloud remained only from evening until morning, and when it lifted in the morning, they would set out. Whether it was by day or by night, when the cloud was taken up, they would set out.
And the children of Israel took their journeys out of the wilderness of
Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of
Paran.
and the Israelites set out from the Wilderness of
Sinai, traveling from place to place
until the cloud settled in the Wilderness of
Paran.
But even a whole month,
until it come out at your nostrils, and it be
loathsome unto you: because that ye have
despised the LORD which is among you, and have
wept before him, saying, Why came we forth out of Egypt?
but for a whole month—
until it comes out of your nostrils and makes you
nauseous—because you have rejected the LORD, who is among you, and have
cried out before Him, saying, ‘Why did we ever leave Egypt?’”
And
Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till
Miriam was brought in again.
So
Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on
until she was brought in again.
Pardon, I
beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast
forgiven this people, from Egypt even
until now.
Pardon, I pray, the iniquity of this people, in keeping with the greatness of Your loving devotion, just as You have
forgiven them ever since they left Egypt.”
And your children shall
wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms,
until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.
Your children will be
shepherds in the wilderness for forty years, and they will suffer for your unfaithfulness
until the last of your bodies lies in the wilderness.
Then the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall
bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean
until the even.
Then the priest must wash his clothes and
bathe his body in water; after that he may enter the camp, but he will be
ceremonially unclean
until evening.
And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and
bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean
until the even.
The one who burned the
heifer must also wash his clothes and
bathe his body in water, and he too will be
ceremonially unclean
until evening.
And he that gathereth the ashes of the
heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean
until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.
The man who has gathered up the ashes of the
heifer must also wash his clothes, and he will be
ceremonially unclean
until evening. This is a permanent statute for the Israelites and for the foreigner residing among them.
And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even.
This is a permanent statute for the people: The one who sprinkles the water of
purification must wash his clothes, and
whoever touches the water of
purification will be unclean
until evening.
And
whatsoever the unclean person toucheth shall be unclean; and the soul that toucheth it shall be unclean
until even.
Anything the unclean person touches will become unclean, and
anyone who touches it will be unclean
until evening.”
Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy country: we will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king’s high way, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy borders.
Please let us pass through your land. We will not cut through any field or
vineyard, or drink water from any well. We will stay on the King’s
Highway; we will not turn to the right or to the left
until we have passed through your territory.”
Let me pass through thy land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king’s high way, until we be past thy borders.
“Let us pass through your land. We will not cut through any field or
vineyard, or drink water from any well. We will stay on the King’s
Highway until we have passed through your territory.”
So they
smote him, and his sons, and all his people,
until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his land.
So they struck down
Og, along with his sons and his whole army,
until no
remnant was left. And they took possession of his land.
And the
ass said unto
Balaam, Am not I thine
ass, upon which thou hast
ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever
wont to do so unto thee? And he said,
Nay.
But the
donkey said to
Balaam, “Am I not the
donkey you have
ridden all your life
until today? Have I ever treated you this way before?” “No,” he replied.
Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
Behold, the people rise like a
lioness; they
rouse themselves like a lion, not resting
until they
devour their prey and drink the blood of the slain.”
Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted,
until Asshur shall carry thee away
captive.
Yet
Kain will be destroyed when Asshur takes you
captive.”
And the LORD’S anger was
kindled against Israel, and he made them
wander in the wilderness forty years,
until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.
The anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and He made them
wander in the wilderness forty years,
until the whole generation who had done evil in His sight was gone.
But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel,
until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the
fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
But we will arm ourselves and be ready to go
ahead of the Israelites
until we have brought them into their place. Meanwhile, our little ones will remain in the fortified cities for protection from the inhabitants of the land.
We will not return unto our houses, until the children of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.
We will not return to our homes
until every
Israelite has taken possession of his inheritance.
And will go all of you armed over Jordan before the LORD, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,
and if every one of your armed men crosses the Jordan before the LORD, until He has driven His enemies out before Him,
And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the
avenger; that the
manslayer die not,
until he stand before the congregation in judgment.
You are to have these cities as a refuge from the
avenger, so that the
manslayer will not die
until he stands trial before the assembly.
And the congregation shall deliver the
slayer out of the hand of the
revenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to the city of his refuge,
whither he was fled: and he shall
abide in it unto the death of the high priest, which was
anointed with the holy oil.
The assembly is to protect the
manslayer from the hand of the
avenger of blood. Then the assembly will return him to the city of refuge to which he fled, and he must live there
until the death of the high priest, who was
anointed with the holy oil.
Because he should have remained in the city of his refuge
until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the
slayer shall return into the land of his possession.
because the
manslayer must remain in his city of refuge
until the death of the high priest. Only after the death of the high priest may he return to the land he owns.
And ye shall take no satisfaction for him that is fled to the city of his refuge, that he should come again to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest.
Nor should you accept a
ransom for the person who flees to a city of refuge and allow him to return and live on his own land before the death of the high priest.
And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man
doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went,
until ye came into this place.
and in the wilderness, where the LORD your God carried you, as a man carries his son, all the way by which you traveled until you reached this place.”
And the space in which we came from Kadesh-barnea,
until we were come over the
brook Zered, was thirty and eight years;
until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD
sware unto them.
The time we spent traveling from Kadesh-barnea
until we crossed over the
Brook of Zered was thirty-eight years,
until that entire generation of fighting men had perished from the camp, as the LORD had
sworn to them.
For indeed the hand of the LORD was against them, to destroy them from among the host, until they were consumed.
Indeed, the LORD’s hand was against them, to
eliminate them from the camp,
until they had all perished.
(As the children of
Esau which dwell in
Seir, and the Moabites which dwell in Ar, did unto me;)
until I shall pass over Jordan into the land which the LORD our God giveth us.
just as the descendants of
Esau who live in
Seir and the Moabites who live in Ar did for us,
until we cross the Jordan into the land that the LORD our God is giving us.”
So the LORD our God delivered into our hands
Og also, the king of
Bashan, and all his people: and we
smote him
until none was left to him remaining.
So the LORD our God also delivered
Og king of
Bashan and his whole army into our hands. We struck them down
until no
survivor was left.
Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you.
until the LORD gives rest to your brothers as He has to you, and they too have taken possession of the land that the LORD your God is giving them across the Jordan. Then each of you may return to the possession I have given you.”
Moreover the LORD thy God will send the
hornet among them,
until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.
Moreover, the LORD your God will send the
hornet against them
until even the survivors hiding from you have perished.
But the LORD thy God shall deliver them unto thee, and shall destroy them with a mighty destruction, until they be destroyed.
But the LORD your God will give them over to you and throw them into great confusion, until they are destroyed.
And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.
He will hand their kings over to you, and you will
wipe out their names from under heaven. No one will be able to stand against you; you will
annihilate them.
Remember, and
forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou
didst depart out of the land of Egypt,
until ye came unto this place, ye have been
rebellious against the LORD.
Remember this, and never
forget how you
provoked the LORD your God in the wilderness. From the day you left the land of Egypt
until you reached this place, you have been rebelling against the LORD.
And I took your sin, the
calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even
until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the
brook that descended out of the mount.
And I took that sinful thing, the
calf you had made, and burned it in the fire. Then I
crushed it and ground it to powder as fine as dust, and I cast it into the stream that came down from the mountain.
And what he did unto you in the wilderness, until ye came into this place;
what He did for you in the wilderness until you reached this place;
And there shall be no
leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days; neither shall there any thing of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first day at even, remain all night
until the morning.
No
leaven is to be found in all your land for seven days, and none of the meat you sacrifice in the evening of the first day shall remain
until morning.
Only the trees which thou knowest that they be not trees for meat, thou shalt destroy and cut them down; and thou shalt build bulwarks against the city that maketh war with thee, until it be subdued.
But you may destroy the trees that you know do not produce fruit. Use them to build siege works against the city that is
waging war against you,
until it falls.
And if thy brother be not
nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee
until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.
If your brother does not live near you, or if you do not know who he is, you are to take the animal home to remain with you until your brother comes seeking it; then you can return it to him.
The LORD shall send upon thee
cursing,
vexation, and
rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do,
until thou be destroyed, and
until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast
forsaken me.
The LORD will send curses upon you, confusion and reproof in all to which you put your hand,
until you are destroyed and quickly perish because of the wickedness you have committed in
forsaking Him.
The LORD shall make the
pestilence cleave unto thee,
until he have consumed thee from off the land,
whither thou goest to possess it.
The LORD will make the plague
cling to you
until He has
exterminated you from the land that you are entering to possess.
The LORD shall
smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with
mildew; and they shall pursue thee
until thou perish.
The LORD will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with
scorching heat and
drought, and with
blight and
mildew; these will pursue you
until you perish.
The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
The LORD will turn the rain of your land into dust and powder; it will descend on you from the sky until you are destroyed.
Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
All these curses will come upon you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, since you did not obey the LORD your God and keep the commandments and statutes He gave you.
Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in
thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck,
until he have destroyed thee.
you will serve your enemies the LORD will send against you in famine,
thirst, nakedness, and
destitution. He will place an iron yoke on your neck
until He has destroyed you.
And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land,
until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy
kine, or flocks of thy sheep,
until he have destroyed thee.
They will eat the offspring of your
livestock and the produce of your land
until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain or new wine or oil, no
calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks,
until they have caused you to perish.
And he shall
besiege thee in all thy gates,
until thy high and
fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall
besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.
They will
besiege all the cities throughout your land,
until the high and fortified walls in which you trust have fallen. They will
besiege all your cities throughout the land that the LORD your God has given you.
Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
The LORD will also bring upon you every sickness and plague not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed.
And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
When Moses had finished writing in a book the words of this law from beginning to end,
And Moses spake in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song, until they were ended.
Then Moses recited
aloud to the whole assembly of Israel the words of this song from beginning to end:
And the children of Israel
wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of
weeping and
mourning for Moses were ended.
The Israelites
grieved for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days,
until the time of
weeping and
mourning for Moses came to an end.
Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD’S servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the
sunrising.
until the LORD gives them rest as He has done for you, and your brothers also possess the land that the LORD your God is giving them. Then you may return to the land of your inheritance and take possession of that which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you on the east side of the Jordan.”
And she said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you; and hide
yourselves there three days,
until the pursuers be returned: and afterward may ye go your way.
“Go to the hill country,” she said, “so that your pursuers will not find you. Hide
yourselves there for three days
until they have returned; then go on your way.”
And they went, and came unto the mountain, and abode there three days, until the pursuers were returned: and the pursuers sought them throughout all the way, but found them not.
So the
spies went out into the hill country and stayed there three days,
until their pursuers had returned without finding them, having searched all along the road.
And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.
The priests carrying the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, while all Israel crossed over the dry ground, until the entire nation had crossed the Jordan.
For the priests which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, until every thing was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the people hasted and passed over.
Now the priests who carried the ark remained standing in the middle of the Jordan
until the people had completed everything the LORD had commanded Joshua to tell them, just as Moses had directed Joshua. The people
hurried across,
For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:
For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed over, just as He did to the Red Sea, which He dried up before us until we had crossed over.
And it came to pass, when all the kings of the
Amorites, which were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the
Canaanites, which were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel,
until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel.
Now when all the Amorite kings west of the Jordan and all the
Canaanite kings along the coast heard how the LORD had dried up the waters of the Jordan before the Israelites
until they had crossed over, their hearts melted and their spirits failed for fear of the Israelites.
For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD
sware that he would not
shew them the land, which the LORD
sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
For the Israelites had
wandered in the wilderness forty years,
until all the nation’s men of war who had come out of Egypt had died, since they did not obey the LORD. So the LORD
vowed never to let them see the land He had
sworn to their fathers to give us, a land flowing with milk and honey.
And Joshua raised up their sons in their place, and these were the ones he
circumcised.
Until this time they were still
uncircumcised, since they had not been
circumcised along the way.
And it came to pass, when they had done
circumcising all the people, that they abode in their places in the camp, till they were whole.
And after all the nation had been
circumcised, they stayed there in the camp
until they were
healed.
And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not
shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth,
until the day I
bid you
shout; then shall ye
shout.
But Joshua had commanded the people: “Do not give a battle cry or let your voice be heard; do not let one word come out of your mouth
until the day I tell you to
shout. Then you are to
shout!”
And Joshua rent his clothes, and fell to the earth upon his face before the ark of the LORD
until the
eventide, he and the elders of Israel, and put dust upon their heads.
Then Joshua
tore his clothes and fell facedown before the ark of the LORD
until evening, as did the elders of Israel; and they all
sprinkled dust on their heads.
Up,
sanctify the people, and say,
Sanctify yourselves against to
morrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, There is an
accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies,
until ye take away the
accursed thing from among you.
Get up and
consecrate the people, saying, ‘
Consecrate yourselves for
tomorrow, for this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Among you, O Israel, there are things devoted to destruction. You cannot stand against your enemies
until you remove them.
(For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They
flee before us, as at the first: therefore we will
flee before them.
They will pursue us
until we have drawn them away from the city, for they will say, ‘The Israelites are running away from us as they did before.’ So as we
flee from them,
And the other issued out of the city against them; so they were in the midst of Israel, some on this side, and some on that side: and they
smote them, so that they let none of them remain or escape.
Meanwhile, those in the
ambush came out of the city against them, and the men of
Ai were
trapped between the
Israelite forces on both sides. So Israel struck them down
until no
survivor or
fugitive remained.
And it came to pass, when Israel had made an end of
slaying all the inhabitants of
Ai in the field, in the wilderness wherein they
chased them, and when they were all fallen on the edge of the sword,
until they were consumed, that all the Israelites returned unto
Ai, and
smote it with the edge of the sword.
When Israel had finished killing all the men of
Ai who had pursued them into the field and wilderness, and when every last one of them had fallen by the sword, all the Israelites returned to
Ai and put it to the sword as well.
For Joshua drew not his hand back,
wherewith he stretched out the
spear,
until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of
Ai.
Joshua did not draw back the hand that held his battle
lance until he had devoted to destruction all who lived in
Ai.
And the king of
Ai he
hanged on a tree
until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his
carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise
thereon a great
heap of stones, that remaineth unto this day.
He hung the king of
Ai on a tree
until evening, and at
sunset Joshua commanded that they take down the body from the tree and throw it down at the entrance of the city gate. And over it they raised a large pile of rocks, which remains to this day.
And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed,
until the people had
avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
So the sun stood still and the moon stopped
until the nation took
vengeance upon its enemies. Is this not written in the Book of
Jashar? “So the sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.”
And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of
slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into
fenced cities.
So Joshua and the Israelites continued to
inflict a terrible slaughter
until they had finished them off, and the remaining survivors retreated to the fortified cities.
And afterward Joshua
smote them, and
slew them, and
hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees
until the evening.
After this, Joshua struck down and killed the kings, and he hung their bodies on five trees and left them there until evening.
And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been
hid, and laid great stones in the cave’s mouth, which remain
until this very day.
At
sunset Joshua ordered that they be taken down from the trees and thrown into the cave in which they had hidden. Then large stones were placed against the mouth of the cave, and the stones are there to this day.
Then Horam king of
Gezer came up to help
Lachish; and Joshua
smote him and his people,
until he had left him none remaining.
At that time Horam king of
Gezer went to help
Lachish, but Joshua struck him down along with his people, leaving no survivors.
And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who
smote them, and
chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephoth-
maim, and unto the valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they
smote them,
until they left them none remaining.
and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who struck them down and pursued them all the way to Greater
Sidon and Misrephoth-
maim, and eastward as far as the Valley of Mizpeh. They struck them down, leaving no survivors.
And all the
spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they
smote with the edge of the sword,
until they had destroyed them, neither left they any to
breathe.
The Israelites took for themselves all the
plunder and
livestock of these cities, but they put all the people to the sword
until they had completely destroyed them, not
sparing anyone who breathed.
Nevertheless the children of Israel expelled not the Geshurites, nor the Maachathites: but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day.
but the Israelites did not drive out the Geshurites or the Maacathites. So Geshur and Maacath dwell among the Israelites to this day.
And all the cities of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the
Amorites, which reigned in
Heshbon, whom Moses
smote with the princes of
Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, which were dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the country.
all the cities of the plateau and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the
Amorites, who reigned in
Heshbon until Moses killed him and the chiefs of
Midian (Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba), the princes of Sihon who lived in the land.
And he shall dwell in that city,
until he stand before the congregation for judgment, and
until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days: then shall the
slayer return, and come unto his own city, and unto his own house, unto the city from whence he fled.
He is to stay in that city
until he stands trial before the assembly and
until the death of the high priest serving at that time. Then the
manslayer may return to his own home in the city from which he fled.”
These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that
whosoever killeth any person at unawares might
flee thither, and not die by the hand of the
avenger of blood,
until he stood before the congregation.
These are the cities appointed for all the Israelites and foreigners among them, so that
anyone who kills a person
unintentionally may
flee there and not die by the hand of the
avenger of blood prior to standing trial before the assembly.
Is the iniquity of Peor too little for us, from which we are not
cleansed until this day, although there was a plague in the congregation of the LORD,
Was not the sin of Peor enough for us, from which we have not
cleansed ourselves to this day? It even brought a plague upon the congregation of the LORD.
Know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and
traps unto you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes,
until ye perish from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
know for sure that the LORD your God will no longer drive out these nations before you. Instead, they will become for you a
snare and a
trap, a
scourge in your sides and thorns in your eyes,
until you perish from this good land that the LORD your God has given you.
Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.
But just as every good thing the LORD your God promised you has come to pass, likewise the LORD will bring upon you the
calamity He has threatened,
until He has destroyed you from this good land He has given you.

tarried till they were
ashamed: and, behold, he opened not the doors of the parlour; therefore they took a key, and opened them: and, behold, their lord was fallen down dead on the earth.

Canaan until they destroyed him.
The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel,
until that I

Depart not hence, I pray thee,
until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and set it before thee. And he said, I will
tarry until thou come again.
Please do not depart from this place until I return to You. Let me bring my offering and set it before You.” And the LORD said, “I will stay until you return.”
And
Abimelech fought against the city all that day; and he took the city, and
slew the people that was therein, and beat down the city, and

And all that day
Abimelech fought against the city

demolished the city and
sowed it with salt.
But he said unto me, Behold, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, neither eat any unclean thing: for the child shall be a
Nazarite to God from the
womb to the day of his death.
But he said to me, ‘Behold, you will conceive and give birth to a son. Now, therefore, do not drink wine or strong drink, and do not eat anything unclean, because the boy will be a
Nazirite to God from the
womb until the day of his death.’”

until we shall have made ready a

“Please stay here,”
Manoah said to the angel of the LORD, “and we will prepare a young goat for you.”
