And it came to pass, that when the army of the Chaldeans was broken up from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh’s army,
When the
Chaldean army withdrew from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh’s
army,
Thus saith the LORD, This city shall surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon’s army, which shall take it.
This is what the LORD says: This city will surely be delivered into the hands of the army of the king of Babylon, and he will capture it.”
And Ebed-melech the
Ethiopian said unto Jeremiah, Put now these old cast clouts and
rotten rags under thine
armholes under the cords. And Jeremiah did so.
Ebed-melech the
Cushite cried out to Jeremiah, “Put these worn-out rags and clothes under your
arms to
pad the ropes.” Jeremiah did so,
In the ninth year of
Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his
army against Jerusalem, and they besieged it.
In the ninth year of
Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month,
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon marched against Jerusalem with his entire
army and laid siege to the city.
But the Chaldeans’
army pursued after them, and overtook
Zedekiah in the plains of
Jericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him up to
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of
Hamath, where he gave judgment upon him.
But the
army of the Chaldeans pursued them and overtook
Zedekiah in the plains of
Jericho. They seized him and brought him up to
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of
Hamath, where he pronounced judgment on him.
Now when all the captains of the forces which were in the fields, even they and their men, heard that the king of Babylon had made Gedaliah the son of
Ahikam governor in the land, and had committed unto him men, and women, and children, and of the poor of the land, of them that were not carried away
captive to Babylon;
When all the commanders and men of the
armies in the field heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah son of
Ahikam over the land and that he had put him in charge of the men, women, and children who were the poorest of the land and had not been exiled to Babylon,
Moreover Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, came to Gedaliah to
Mizpah,
Meanwhile, Johanan son of Kareah and all the commanders of the
armies in the field came to Gedaliah at
Mizpah But when Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, heard of all the evil that
Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done,
When Johanan son of Kareah and all the commanders of the
armies with him heard of all the crimes that
Ishmael son of Nethaniah had committed,
Now it came to pass, that when all the people which were with
Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, then they were
glad.
When all the people with
Ishmael saw Johanan son of Kareah and all the commanders of the
army with him, they
rejoiced,
Then took Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, all the
remnant of the people whom he had recovered from
Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from
Mizpah, after that he had slain Gedaliah the son of
Ahikam, even mighty men of war, and the women, and the children, and the eunuchs, whom he had brought again from
Gibeon:
Then Johanan son of Kareah and all the commanders of the
armies with him took the whole
remnant of the people from
Mizpah whom he had recovered from
Ishmael son of Nethaniah after
Ishmael had killed Gedaliah son of
Ahikam: the soldiers, women, children, and court officials he had brought back from
Gibeon.
Against Egypt, against the
army of Pharaoh-
necho king of Egypt, which was by the river Euphrates in Carchemish, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon
smote in the fourth year of
Jehoiakim the son of
Josiah king of Judah.
concerning Egypt and the
army of Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt, which was defeated at Carchemish on the Euphrates River by
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon in the fourth year of
Jehoiakim the son of
Josiah king of Judah:
Harness the horses; and get up, ye
horsemen, and stand forth with your helmets;
furbish the spears, and put on the brigandines.
Harness the horses; mount the steeds; take your positions with helmets on! Polish your spears; put on
armor!
The voice thereof shall go like a serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come against her with axes, as hewers of wood.
Egypt will hiss like a
fleeing serpent, for the enemy will advance in force; with axes they will come against her like
woodsmen cutting down trees.
The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, saith the LORD.
The horn of Moab has been cut off, and his arm is broken,” declares the LORD.
The LORD hath opened his
armoury, and hath brought forth the weapons of his
indignation: for this is the work of the Lord GOD of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.
The LORD has opened His
armory and brought out His weapons of wrath, for this is the work of the Lord GOD of Hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.
Behold, a people shall come from the north, and a great nation, and many kings shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
Behold, an
army is coming from the north; a great nation and many kings are
stirred up from the ends of the earth.
Against him that bendeth let the archer bend his bow, and against him that lifteth himself up in his
brigandine: and
spare ye not her young men; destroy ye utterly all her host.
Do not let the archer bend his bow or put on his
armor. Do not
spare her young men;
devote all her
army to destruction!
And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.
So in the ninth year of
Zedekiah’s reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month,
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon marched against Jerusalem with his entire
army. They
encamped outside the city and built a siege wall all around it.
But the
army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook
Zedekiah in the plains of
Jericho; and all his
army was scattered from him.
but the
army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook
Zedekiah in the plains of
Jericho, and all his
army was separated from him.
And all the
army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard,
brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.
And the whole army of the Chaldeans under the captain of the guard broke down all the walls around Jerusalem.
He took also out of the city an
eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king’s person, which were found in the city; and the principal
scribe of the host, who
mustered the people of the land; and
threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.
Of those still in the city, he took a court official who had been appointed over the men of war, as well as seven trusted royal advisers. He also took the
scribe of the captain of the
army, who had
enlisted the people of the land, and sixty men who were found in the city.
The Lord hath
trodden under foot all my mighty men in the midst of me: he hath called an assembly against me to
crush my young men: the Lord hath
trodden the virgin, the daughter of Judah, as in a winepress.
The Lord has rejected all the mighty men in my midst; He has summoned an
army against me to
crush my young warriors. Like grapes in a winepress, the Lord has
trampled the Virgin Daughter of Judah.
They say to their mothers, Where is corn and wine? when they
swooned as the wounded in the streets of the city, when their soul was poured out into their mothers’
bosom.
They cry out to their mothers: “Where is the grain and wine?” as they
faint like the wounded in the streets of the city, as their lives
fade away in the
arms of their mothers.
And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the
Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.
When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings like the
roar of many waters, like the voice of the
Almighty, like the
tumult of an
army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.
Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine
arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt
prophesy against it.
You must turn your face toward the siege of Jerusalem with your
arm bared, and
prophesy against it.
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
Woe to the women that
sew pillows to all
armholes, and make
kerchiefs upon the head of every
stature to
hunt souls! Will ye
hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?
and tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says:
Woe to the women who
sew magic charms on their wrists and make veils for the heads of people of every height, in order to
ensnare their souls. Will you
ensnare the souls of My people but preserve your own?
Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your
pillows,
wherewith ye there
hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will
tear them from your
arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye
hunt to make them fly.
Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: See, I am against the magic charms with which you
ensnare souls like birds, and I will
tear them from your
arms. So I will free the souls you have ensnared like birds.
Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Shall it
prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? it shall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power or many people to
pluck it up by the roots thereof.
So you are to tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Will it
flourish? Will it not be uprooted and
stripped of its fruit so that it shrivels? All its foliage will wither! It will not take a strong
arm or many people to pull it up by its roots.
But he rebelled against him in sending his ambassadors into Egypt, that they might give him horses and much people. Shall he
prosper? shall he escape that doeth such things? or shall he break the covenant, and be delivered?
But this king rebelled against Babylon by sending his envoys to Egypt to ask for horses and a large
army. Will he
flourish? Will the one who does such things escape? Can he break a covenant and yet escape?’
Neither shall Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company make for him in the war, by casting up mounts, and building forts, to cut off many persons:
Pharaoh with his mighty
army and vast
horde will not help him in battle, when ramps are built and siege walls constructed to destroy many lives.
As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out
arm, and with
fury poured out, will I rule over you:
As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, with a strong hand, an outstretched arm, and outpoured wrath I will rule over you.
And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out
arm, and with
fury poured out.
With a strong hand, an outstretched arm, and outpoured wrath I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands to which you have been scattered.
By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover thee: thy walls shall
shake at the noise of the
horsemen, and of the wheels, and of the
chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a city wherein is made a breach.
His multitude of horses will cover you in their dust. When he enters your gates as an
army entering a breached city, your walls will
shake from the noise of cavalry, wagons, and
chariots.
They of Persia and of Lud and of
Phut were in thine
army, thy men of war: they
hanged the shield and
helmet in thee; they set forth thy
comeliness.
Men of Persia,
Lydia, and Put served as warriors in your
army. They hung their shields and helmets on your walls; they gave you
splendor.
The men of Arvad with thine
army were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadims were in thy towers: they
hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they have made thy beauty perfect.
Men of Arvad and Helech
manned your walls all around, and the men of Gammad were in your towers. They hung their shields around your walls; they perfected your beauty.
Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his
army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made
bald, and every shoulder was
peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his
army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served against it:
“Son of man,
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon caused his
army to labor
strenuously against Tyre. Every head was made
bald and every shoulder made raw. But he and his
army received no wages from Tyre for the labor they expended on it.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her
spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his
army.
Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: I will give the land of Egypt to
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, who will carry off its wealth, seize its
spoil, and remove its
plunder. This will be the wages for his
army.
Son of man, I have broken the
arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it shall not be bound up to be
healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword.
“Son of man, I have broken the
arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt. See, it has not been bound up for
healing, or
splinted for strength to hold the sword.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.
Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt. I will break his arms, both the strong one and the one already broken, and will make the sword fall from his hand.
And I will
strengthen the
arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh’s
arms, and he shall
groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded man.
I will
strengthen the
arms of Babylon’s king and place My sword in his hand, but I will break the
arms of Pharaoh, who will
groan before him like a
mortally wounded man.
But I will
strengthen the
arms of the king of Babylon, and the
arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.
I will
strengthen the
arms of Babylon’s king, but Pharaoh’s
arms will fall
limp. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I place My sword in the hand of Babylon’s king, and he wields it against the land of Egypt.
They also went down into
hell with him unto them that be slain with the sword; and they that were his
arm, that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen.
They too descended with it to
Sheol, to those slain by the sword. As its allies they had lived in its shade among the nations.
Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army slain by the sword, saith the Lord GOD.
Pharaoh will see them and be comforted over all his multitude— Pharaoh and all his army, slain by the sword, declares the Lord GOD.
So I
prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great
army.
So I
prophesied as He had commanded me, and the breath entered them, and they came to life and stood on their feet—a vast
army.
And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine
army, horses and
horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of
armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws, and bring you out with all your
army—your horses, your
horsemen in full
armor, and a great company
armed with shields and bucklers, all
brandishing their swords.
And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
And you will come from your place out of the far north—you and many peoples with you, all riding horses—a mighty
horde, a huge
army.
This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his
arms of silver, his
belly and his thighs of brass,
The head of the statue was pure gold, its chest and
arms were silver, its
belly and thighs were bronze,
And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his
army to bind
Shadrach, Meshach, and
Abed-nego, and to cast them into the burning
fiery furnace.
And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
All the peoples of the earth are counted as nothing, and He does as He pleases with the army of heaven and the peoples of the earth. There is no one who can restrain His hand or say to Him, ‘What have You done?’”
His body also was like the
beryl, and his face as the appearance of
lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his
arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
His body was like
beryl, his face like the brilliance of
lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his
arms and legs like the
gleam of polished bronze, and his voice like the sound of a multitude.
And in the end of years they shall join themselves together; for the king’s daughter of the south shall come to the king of the north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain the power of the
arm; neither shall he stand, nor his
arm: but she shall be given up, and they that brought her, and he that
begat her, and he that strengthened her in these times.
After some years they will form an alliance, and the daughter of the king of the South will go to the king of the North to seal the agreement. But his daughter will not retain her position of power, nor will his strength
endure. At that time she will be given up, along with her royal
escort and her father and the one who supported her.
But out of a branch of her roots shall one stand up in his estate, which shall come with an army, and shall enter into the fortress of the king of the north, and shall deal against them, and shall prevail:
But one from her family line will rise up in his place, come against the army of the king of the North, and enter his fortress, fighting and prevailing.
But his sons shall be
stirred up, and shall
assemble a multitude of great forces: and one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through: then shall he return, and be
stirred up, even to his fortress.
And the king of the south shall be moved with
choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north: and he shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand.
In a
rage, the king of the South will march out to fight the king of the North, who will raise a large
army, but it will be delivered into the hand of his enemy.
And when he hath taken away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many ten thousands: but he shall not be strengthened by it.
When the army is carried off, the king of the South will be proud in heart and will cast down tens of thousands, but he will not triumph.
For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches.
For the king of the North will raise another army, larger than the first, and after some years he will advance with a great army and many supplies.
So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most
fenced cities: and the
arms of the south shall not
withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to
withstand.
Then the king of the North will come, build up a siege
ramp, and capture a fortified city. The forces of the South will not stand; even their best troops will not be able to resist.
And with the
arms of a flood shall they be
overflown from before him, and shall be broken;
yea, also the prince of the covenant.
Then a flood of forces will be swept away before him and destroyed, along with a prince of the covenant.
And he shall
stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great
army; and the king of the south shall be
stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty
army; but he shall not stand: for they shall
forecast devices against him.
And with a large
army he will
stir up his power and his courage against the king of the South, who will
mobilize a very large and powerful
army but will not
withstand the plots devised against him.
Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his
army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain.
Those who eat from his provisions will seek to destroy him; his army will be swept away, and many will fall slain.
And
arms shall stand on his part, and they shall
pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the
abomination that maketh
desolate.
Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me.
Although I trained and strengthened their arms, they plot evil against Me.
I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their
arms; but they knew not that I
healed them.
It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them in My
arms, but they never realized that it was I who
healed them.
A day of darkness and of
gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
a day of darkness and
gloom, a day of clouds and blackness. Like the
dawn overspreading the mountains a great and strong
army appears, such as never was of old, nor will ever be in ages to come.
Like the noise of
chariots on the tops of mountains shall they
leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the
stubble, as a strong people set in battle
array.
And the LORD shall utter his voice before his
army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can
abide it?
The LORD raises His voice in the presence of His
army. Indeed, His camp is very large, for mighty are those who obey His command. For the Day of the LORD is great and very
dreadful. Who can
endure it?
But I will remove far off from you the northern
army, and will drive him into a land barren and
desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his
stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.
The northern
army I will drive away from you,
banishing it to a barren and
desolate land, its front ranks into the Eastern Sea, and its rear guard into the Western Sea. And its
stench will rise; its foul
odor will
ascend. For He has done great things.
And I will restore to you the years that the
locust hath eaten, the
cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the
palmerworm, my great
army which I sent among you.
Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy
bosom.
Do not
rely on a friend; do not trust in a companion. Seal the doors of your mouth from her who lies in your
arms.
And I will
encamp about mine house because of the
army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that returneth: and no
oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.
But I will camp around My house because of an
army, because of those who march to and
fro, and never again will an
oppressor overrun My people, for now I keep watch with My own eyes.
Woe to the
idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his
arm, and upon his right eye: his
arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly
darkened.
Woe to the worthless
shepherd, who deserts the flock! May a sword strike his
arm and his right eye! May his
arm be completely
withered and his right eye utterly blinded!”
But when the king heard thereof, he was
wroth: and he sent forth his
armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
The king was
enraged, and he sent his troops to destroy those murderers and burn their city.
And while he yet spake, lo,
Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and
staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
While Jesus was still speaking,
Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived, accompanied by a large crowd
armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and elders of the people.
And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
Then He had a little child stand among them. Taking the child in His arms, He said to them,
And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
And He took the children in His arms, placed His hands on them, and blessed them.
And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh
Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and
staves, from the chief priest and the
scribes and the elders.
While Jesus was still speaking,
Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived, accompanied by a crowd
armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests,
scribes, and elders.
He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
He has performed mighty deeds with His arm; He has scattered those who are proud in the thoughts of their hearts.
Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
Simeon took Him in his
arms and blessed God, saying:
When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:
When a strong man, fully armed, guards his house, his possessions are secure.
But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the
armor in which the man trusted, and then he divides up his
plunder.
And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with
armies, then know that the
desolation thereof is
nigh.
But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by
armies, you will know that her
desolation is near.
That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
This was to
fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet: “Lord, who has believed our message? And to whom has the
arm of the Lord been revealed?”
The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and
exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high
arm brought he them out of it.
The God of the people of Israel chose our fathers. He made them into a great people during their stay in Egypt, and with an
uplifted arm He led them out of that land.
This man was taken of the Jews, and should have been killed of them: then came I with an
army, and
rescued him, having understood that he was a Roman.
This man was seized by the Jews, and they were about to kill him when I came with my troops to
rescue him. For I had learned that he is a Roman citizen,
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
The night is nearly over; the day has drawn near. So let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the
armor of light.
By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
in truthful speech and in the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left;
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Put on the full
armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes.
Wherefore take unto you the whole
armour of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Therefore take up the full
armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to stand your ground, and having done everything, to stand.
Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed
valiant in fight, turned to flight the
armies of the aliens.
quenched the
raging fire, and escaped the edge of the sword; who gained strength from weakness, became mighty in battle, and put foreign
armies to flight.
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh,
arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
Therefore, since Christ suffered in His body,
arm yourselves with the same
resolve, because
anyone who has suffered in his body is done with sin.
And the number of the
army of the
horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.
And the number of mounted troops was two hundred million; I heard their number.
And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue
Armageddon.
And they assembled the kings in the place that in Hebrew is called
Armageddon.
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
The armies of heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and pure, follow Him on white horses.
And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their
armies assembled to
wage war against the One seated on the horse, and against His
army.
So all his people and his
armies obey him:
furthermore he lieth down, he eateth and drinketh, and taketh his rest:
But I will bring them with a mighty hand and a stretched out
arm, and
smite Egypt with plagues, as before, and will destroy all the land thereof.
And he made the gates thereof, even gates that were raised to the height of seventy cubits, and the breadth of them was forty cubits, for the going forth of his mighty
armies, and for the setting in
array of his
footmen:
So he returned afterward to Nineve, both he and all his company of
sundry nations being a very great multitude of men of war, and there he took his ease, and
