But to the king of Judah which sent you to
enquire of the LORD, thus shall ye say to him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, As touching the words which thou hast heard;
But as for the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, tell him that this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘As for the words that you heard,
Nevertheless the priests of the high places came not up to the altar of the LORD in Jerusalem,
but they did eat of the
unleavened bread among their brethren.
Although the priests of the high places did not come up to the altar of the LORD in Jerusalem, they
ate unleavened bread with their fellow priests.
In his days Pharaoh-nechoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king
Josiah went against him; and he
slew him at
Megiddo, when he had seen him.
At the end of
Josiah’s reign, Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt marched up to help the king of Assyria at the Euphrates River. King
Josiah went out to
confront him,
but Neco faced him and killed him at
Megiddo.
And Pharaoh-nechoh made Eliakim the son of
Josiah king in the room of
Josiah his father, and turned his name to
Jehoiakim, and took
Jehoahaz away: and he came to Egypt, and died there.
Then Pharaoh Neco made Eliakim son of
Josiah king in place of his father
Josiah, and he changed Eliakim’s name to
Jehoiakim.
But Neco took
Jehoahaz and carried him off to Egypt, where he died.
And
Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh;
but he taxed the land to give the money according to the commandment of Pharaoh: he exacted the silver and the gold of the people of the land, of every one according to his taxation, to give it unto Pharaoh-nechoh.
So
Jehoiakim paid the silver and gold to Pharaoh Neco,
but to meet Pharaoh’s demand he taxed the land and exacted the silver and the gold from the people, each according to his wealth.
And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of

Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the seed royal, came, and ten men with him, and
smote Gedaliah, that he died, and the Jews and the Chaldees that were with him at
Mizpah.
In the seventh month, however,
Ishmael son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, who was a member of the royal family, came with ten men and struck down and killed Gedaliah, along with the Judeans and Chaldeans who were with him at
Mizpah.
And he took Geshur, and
Aram, with the towns of
Jair, from them, with Kenath, and the towns thereof, even
threescore cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of

But Geshur and

jair, along with Kenath and its sixty surrounding villages. All these were descendants of Machir the father of
Gilead.

Sheshan had no sons, but only daughters; but he did have an Egyptian servant named Jarha.
And Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters; but his brethren had not many children, neither did all their family multiply, like to the children of Judah.
Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters, but his brothers did not have many children, so their whole clan did not become as numerous as the sons of Judah.
For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler;
but the
birthright was Joseph’s:)
And though Judah prevailed over his brothers and a ruler came from him, the
birthright belonged to Joseph.
And they
transgressed against the God of their fathers, and went a
whoring after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
They were mighty men of
valor, famous men, and heads of their families.
But they were unfaithful to the God of their fathers, and they
prostituted themselves with the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God had destroyed before them.
But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an
atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
But Aaron and his sons did all the work of the Most Holy Place. They presented the offerings on the altar of burnt offering and on the altar of incense to make
atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.
But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, they gave to
Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
But the fields and villages around the city were given to
Caleb son of Jephunneh.
So all Israel were reckoned by
genealogies; and, behold, they were written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, who were carried away to Babylon for their
transgression.
So all Israel was recorded in the
genealogies written in the Book of the Kings of Israel.
But Judah was exiled to Babylon because of their unfaithfulness.
For these Levites, the four chief
porters, were in their set office, and were over the chambers and
treasuries of the house of God.
But the four chief gatekeepers, who were Levites, were entrusted with the rooms and the
treasuries of the house of God.
Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through
therewith; lest these
uncircumcised come and
abuse me.
But his armourbearer would not; for he was
sore afraid. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
Then Saul said to his
armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and run it through me, or these
uncircumcised men will come and
torture me!”
But his
armor-bearer was
terrified and refused to do it. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.
And they set themselves in the midst of that
parcel, and delivered it, and
slew the Philistines; and the LORD saved them by a great
deliverance.
But Eleazar and David stationed themselves in the middle of the field and defended it. They struck down the Philistines, and the LORD brought about a great victory.
And the three
brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of
Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David:
but David would not drink of it,
but poured it out to the LORD,
So the Three broke through the
Philistine camp, drew water from the well at the gate of
Bethlehem, and brought it back to David.
But he refused to drink it; instead, he poured it out to the LORD,
Behold, he was honourable among the thirty, but attained not to the first three: and David set him over his guard.
He was most honored among the Thirty, but he did not become one of the Three. And David appointed him over his guard.
And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come
peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be
knit unto you:
but if ye be come to
betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look
thereon, and
rebuke it.
And David went out to meet them, saying, “If you have come to me in peace to help me, my heart will be united with you;
but if you have come to
betray me to my enemies when my hands are free of violence, may the God of our fathers see it and judge you.”
And there fell some of
Manasseh to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle:
but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon
advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall to his master Saul to the
jeopardy of our heads.
Some from
Manasseh defected to David when he went with the Philistines to fight against Saul. (They did not help the Philistines because the
Philistine rulers consulted and sent David away, saying, “It will cost us our heads if he defects to his master Saul.”)
So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David,
but carried it aside into the house of Obed-
edom the Gittite.
So he did not move the ark with him to the City of David; instead, he took it aside to the house of Obed-
edom the Gittite.
And when the Philistines heard that David was
anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.
When the Philistines heard that David had been
anointed king over all Israel, they all went in search of him;
but David learned of this and went out to face them.
Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the
mulberry trees.
So David again inquired of God, who answered him, “Do not march up after them,
but circle around them and attack them in front of the
balsam trees.
Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
Then David said, “No one
but the Levites may carry the ark of God, because the LORD has chosen them to carry the ark of the LORD and to minister before Him
forever.”
Asaph the chief, and next to him
Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-
edom: and Jeiel with
psalteries and with harps;
but Asaph made a sound with cymbals;
Asaph was the chief,
Zechariah was second, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-
edom, and Jeiel. They were to play the harps and lyres, while
Asaph sounded the cymbals
When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.
When they were few in number, few indeed, and strangers in the land,
For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
For all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is the LORD who made the heavens.
Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to
Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars,
but the ark of the covenant of the LORD remaineth under curtains.
After David had settled into his palace, he said to
Nathan the prophet, “Here I am, living in a house of
cedar, while the ark of the covenant of the LORD is under a tent.”
And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to
Nathan, saying,
But that night the word of God came to
Nathan, saying,
For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.
For I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought Israel up out of Egypt until this day, but I have moved from tent to tent and dwelling to dwelling.
But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for
evermore.
But I will set him over My house and My kingdom
forever, and his throne will be established
forever.”
O LORD, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
O LORD, there is none like You, and there is no God but You, according to everything we have heard with our own ears.
David captured from him a thousand
chariots, seven thousand charioteers, and twenty thousand foot soldiers, and he
hamstrung all the horses except a hundred he kept for the
chariots.
And David said, I will
shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, because his father shewed kindness to me. And David sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. So the servants of David came into the land of the children of
Ammon to Hanun, to comfort him.
And David said, “I will show kindness to Hanun son of Nahash, because his father showed kindness to me.” So David sent messengers to
console Hanun concerning his father.
But when David’s servants arrived in the land of the
Ammonites to
console him,
But the princes of the children of
Ammon said to Hanun, Thinkest thou that David
doth honour thy father, that he hath sent comforters unto thee? are not his servants come unto thee for to search, and to overthrow, and to
spy out the land?
the princes of the
Ammonites said to Hanun, “Just because David has sent you comforters, do you really believe he is showing respect for your father? Have not his servants come to you to
explore the land,
spy it out, and overthrow it?”
Wherefore Hanun took David’s servants, and
shaved them, and cut off their garments in the midst hard by their
buttocks, and sent them away.
So Hanun took David’s servants,
shaved their beards, cut off their garments at the hips, and sent them away.
And he said, If the Syrians be too strong for me, then thou shalt help me:
but if the children of
Ammon be too strong for thee, then I will help thee.
“If the Arameans are too strong for me,” said
Joab, “then you will come to my
rescue. And if the
Ammonites are too strong for you, then I will come to your
rescue.
But the Syrians fled before Israel; and David
slew of the Syrians seven thousand men which fought in
chariots, and forty thousand
footmen, and killed Shophach the captain of the host.
But the Arameans fled before Israel, and David killed seven thousand of their charioteers and forty thousand foot soldiers. He also killed Shophach the commander of their army.
And it came to pass, that after the year was
expired, at the time that kings go out to battle,
Joab led forth the power of the army, and wasted the country of the children of
Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah.
But David
tarried at Jerusalem. And
Joab smote Rabbah, and destroyed it.
In the spring, at the time when kings march out to war,
Joab led out the army and
ravaged the land of the
Ammonites. He came to Rabbah and besieged it,
but David remained in Jerusalem. And
Joab attacked Rabbah and
demolished it.
and when he
taunted Israel,
Jonathan the son of David’s brother Shimei killed him.
And
Joab answered, The LORD make his people an hundred times so many more as they be:
but, my lord the king, are they not all my lord’s servants? why then
doth my lord require this thing? why will he be a cause of
trespass to Israel?
But Joab replied, “May the LORD multiply His troops a hundred times over. My lord the king, are they not all servants of my lord? Why does my lord want to do this? Why should he bring guilt on Israel?”
But Levi and Benjamin counted he not among them: for the king’s word was
abominable to
Joab.
But Joab did not include Levi and Benjamin in the count, because the king’s command was
detestable to him.
And David said unto God, I have
sinned greatly, because I have done this thing:
but now, I
beseech thee, do away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very
foolishly.
Then David said to God, “I have
sinned greatly because I have done this thing. Now I
beg You to take away the iniquity of Your servant, for I have acted very
foolishly.”
And David said unto
Gad, I am in a great strait: let me fall now into the hand of the LORD; for very great are his
mercies:
but let me not fall into the hand of man.
David answered
Gad, “I am deeply distressed. Please, let me fall into the hand of the LORD, for His
mercies are very great;
but do not let me fall into the hands of men.”
And God sent an angel unto Jerusalem to destroy it: and as he was destroying, the LORD
beheld, and he
repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed, It is enough, stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.
Then God sent an angel to destroy Jerusalem,
but as the angel was doing so, the LORD saw it and relented from the
calamity, and He said to the angel who was destroying the people, “Enough! Withdraw your hand now!” At that time the angel of the LORD was standing by the
threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
And David said unto God, Is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have
sinned and done evil indeed;
but as for these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father’s house;
but not on thy people, that they should be plagued.
And David said to God, “Was it not I who gave the order to count the people? I am the one who has
sinned and acted wickedly.
But these sheep, what have they done? O LORD my God, please let Your hand fall upon me and my father’s house,
but do not let this plague remain upon Your people.”
And king David said to Ornan,
Nay;
but I will
verily buy it for the full price: for I will not take that which is thine for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings without cost.
“No,” replied King David, “I
insist on paying the full price, for I will not take for the LORD what belongs to you, nor will I offer burnt offerings that cost me nothing.”
But David could not go before it to
enquire of God: for he was afraid because of the sword of the angel of the LORD.
but David could not go before it to inquire of God, because he was afraid of the sword of the angel of the LORD.
But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.
but this word of the LORD came to me: ‘You have shed much blood and
waged great wars. You are not to build a house for My Name because you have shed so much blood on the ground before Me.
Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.
But a son will be born to you who will be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side; for his name will be Solomon, and I will grant to Israel peace and quiet during his reign.
And Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second:
but Jeush and Beriah had not many sons; therefore they were in one
reckoning, according to their father’s house.
Jahath was the first and Zizah was the second;
but Jeush and Beriah did not have many sons, so they were counted as one family and received a single
assignment.
And the sons of
Eliezer were, Rehabiah the chief. And
Eliezer had none other sons;
but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.
The descendants of
Eliezer: Rehabiah was the first.
Eliezer did not have any other sons,
but the sons of Rehabiah were very numerous.
And
Eleazar died, and had no sons,
but daughters: and their brethren the sons of
Kish took them.
The sons of Mahli:
Eleazar and
Kish.
Eleazar died without having any sons; he had only daughters. Their cousins, the sons of
Kish, married them.
Because their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the LORD, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the
purifying of all holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God;
but their duty was to assist the descendants of Aaron with the service of the house of the LORD, being responsible for the courts and chambers, the
purification of all the holy things, and the work of the service of the house of God,
But Nadab and
Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore
Eleazar and
Ithamar executed the priest’s office.
But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under: because the LORD had said he would increase Israel like to the stars of the heavens.
David did not count the men aged twenty or under, because the LORD had said that He would make Israel as numerous as the stars of the sky.
Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number,
but he finished not, because there fell wrath for it against Israel; neither was the number put in the account of the chronicles of king David.
Joab son of Zeruiah began to count the men
but did not finish. For because of this census wrath came upon Israel, and the number was not entered in the Book of the Chronicles of King David.
But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood.
but God said to me, ‘You are not to build a house for My Name, because you are a man of war who has
spilled blood.’
And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee;
but if thou
forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands the intent of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you;
but if you
forsake Him, He will
reject you
forever.
Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man,
but for the LORD God.
Then King David said to the whole assembly, “My son Solomon, the one whom God has chosen, is young and inexperienced. The task is great because this palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.
But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? For everything comes from You, and from Your own hand we have given to You.
But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjath-jearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.
Now David had brought the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim to the place he had prepared for it, because he had pitched a tent for it in Jerusalem.
Moreover the
brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of
Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.
But the bronze altar made by Bezalel son of
Uri, the son of Hur, was in
Gibeon before the tabernacle of the LORD. So Solomon and the assembly inquired of Him there.
And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life;
but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for
thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
God said to Solomon, “Since this was in your heart instead of requesting riches or wealth or glory for
yourself or death for your enemies—and since you have not even requested long life
but have asked for wisdom and knowledge to
govern My people over whom I have made you king—
But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?
But who is able to build a house for Him, since the heavens, even the highest heavens, cannot contain Him? Who then am I, that I should build a house for Him, except as a place to burn sacrifices before Him?
He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them: such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the priests to wash in.
He also made ten basins for washing and placed five on the south side and five on the north. The parts of the burnt offering were
rinsed in them,
but the priests used the Sea for washing.
And they drew out the
staves of the ark, that the ends of the
staves were seen from the ark before the
oracle;
but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.
The poles of the ark extended far enough that their ends were visible from in front of the inner sanctuary, but not from outside the Holy Place; and they are there to this day.
But I have built an house of
habitation for thee, and a place for thy dwelling for ever.
and I have built You an
exalted house, a place for You to dwell
forever.”
But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.
But now I have chosen Jerusalem for My Name to be there, and I have chosen David to be over My people Israel.’
But the LORD said to David my father,
Forasmuch as it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou
didst well in that it was in thine heart:
But the LORD said to my father David, ‘Since it was in your heart to build a house for My Name, you have done well to have this in your heart.
Notwithstanding thou shalt not build the house; but thy son which shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name.
Nevertheless, you are not the one to build it; but your son, your own offspring, will build the house for My Name.’
But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!
But will God indeed dwell with man upon the earth? Even heaven, the highest heaven, cannot contain You, much less this temple I have built.
Moreover concerning the stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name’s sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house;
And as for the foreigner who is not of Your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of Your great name and Your mighty hand and outstretched arm—when he comes and prays toward this temple,
But if ye turn away, and
forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;
But if you turn away and
forsake the statutes and commandments I have set before you, and if you go off to serve and worship other gods,
But of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Israel consumed not, them did Solomon make to pay tribute until this day.
their descendants who remained in the land, those whom the Israelites were unable to destroy—Solomon conscripted these people to be forced laborers, as they are to this day.
But of the children of Israel did Solomon make no servants for his work;
but they were men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his
chariots and
horsemen.
But Solomon did not
consign any of the Israelites to slave labor, because they were his men of war, his officers and captains, and the commanders of his
chariots and cavalry.
Howbeit I believed not their words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the one half of the greatness of thy wisdom was not told me: for thou exceedest the fame that I heard.
But I did not believe the reports until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not half of the greatness of your wisdom was told to me. You have far exceeded the report I heard.
Thy father made our yoke
grievous: now therefore ease thou somewhat the
grievous servitude of thy father, and his heavy yoke that he put upon us, and we will serve thee.
“Your father put a heavy yoke on us.
But now you should
lighten the burden of your father’s service and the heavy yoke he put on us, and we will serve you.”
But he
forsook the counsel which the old men gave him, and took counsel with the young men that were brought up with him, that stood before him.
But Rehoboam rejected the advice of the elders; instead, he consulted the young men who had grown up with him and served him.
And the young men that were brought up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou answer the people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it somewhat lighter for us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father’s loins.
The young men who had grown up with him replied, “This is how you should answer these people who said to you, ‘Your father made our yoke heavy,
but you should make it lighter.’ This is what you should tell them: ‘My little finger is thicker than my father’s
waist!
For whereas my father put a heavy yoke upon you, I will put more to your yoke: my father
chastised you with whips,
but I will
chastise you with scorpions.
Whereas my father burdened you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke. Whereas my father
scourged you with whips, I will
scourge you with scorpions.’”
And answered them after the advice of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy,
but I will add
thereto: my father
chastised you with whips,
but I will
chastise you with scorpions.
and spoke to them as the young men had
advised, saying, “Whereas my father made your yoke heavy, I will add to your yoke. Whereas my father
scourged you with whips, I will
scourge you with scorpions.”
But as for the children of Israel that dwelt in the cities of Judah,
Rehoboam reigned over them.
but Rehoboam still reigned over the Israelites living in the cities of Judah.
Then king
Rehoboam sent Hadoram that was over the tribute; and the children of Israel stoned him with stones, that he died.
But king
Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his
chariot, to
flee to Jerusalem.
Then King
Rehoboam sent out Hadoram, who was in charge of the forced labor,
but the Israelites stoned him to death. And King
Rehoboam mounted his
chariot in
haste and escaped to Jerusalem.
But the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,
But the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah the man of God:
And when the LORD saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves; therefore I will not destroy them,
but I will grant them some
deliverance; and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of
Shishak.
When the LORD saw that they had humbled themselves, the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah, saying, “They have humbled themselves; I will not destroy them,
but will soon grant them
deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through
Shishak.
Have ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of other lands? so that
whosoever cometh to
consecrate himself with a young
bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods.
But did you not drive out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites? And did you not make priests for
yourselves as do the peoples of other lands? Now
whoever comes to
consecrate himself with a young bull and seven rams can become a priest of things that are not gods.
But as for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not
forsaken him; and the priests, which minister unto the LORD, are the sons of Aaron, and the Levites wait upon their business:
But as for us, the LORD is our God. We have not
