hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;

despise my statutes, or if your soul

and if you
reject My statutes,
despise My ordinances, and neglect to
carry out all My commandments, and so break My covenant,
But thou shalt
appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall
encamp round about the tabernacle.
Instead, you are to
appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the Testimony, all its furnishings, and everything in it. They shall
carry the tabernacle and all its articles, care for it, and camp around it.
And thou shalt
appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest’s office: and the stranger that cometh

Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.

equipment, as soon as the camp is ready to move, the Kohathites shall come and do the
carrying. But they must not touch the holy objects, or they will die. These are the

appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:
In order that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons are to go in and
assign each man his task and what he is to
carry.

assign to them all that they are responsible to
carry.
And this is the charge of their burden, according to all their service in the tabernacle of the congregation; the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and sockets thereof,
This is the duty for all their service at the Tent of Meeting: to carry the frames of the tabernacle with its crossbars, posts, and bases,
And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by name ye shall
reckon the instruments of the charge of their burden.

begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me,
Carry them in thy
bosom, as a
nursing father beareth the
sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers?
Did I conceive all these people? Did I give them birth, so that You should tell me, ‘
Carry them in your
bosom, as a
nurse carries an infant,’ to the land that You
swore to give their fathers?

carry the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to serve Him, and to
pronounce blessings in His name, as they do to this day.
And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:
But if the distance is too great for you to carry that with which the LORD your God has blessed you, because the place where the LORD your God will choose to put His Name is too far away,

And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an
heap.
When the feet of the priests who
carry the ark of the LORD—the Lord of all the earth—touch down in the waters of the Jordan, its flowing waters will be cut off and will stand up in a
heap.”

dipped in the
brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,)
Now the Jordan overflows its banks throughout the harvest season. But as soon as the priests carrying the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge,
And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.
The priests carrying the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, while all Israel crossed over the dry ground, until the entire nation had crossed the Jordan.
And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests’ feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall
carry them over with you, and leave them in the
lodging place, where ye shall
lodge this night.
and command them: ‘Take up for
yourselves twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan where the priests were standing,
carry them with you, and set them down in the place where you
spend the night.’”

carry seven rams’ horns in front of the ark of the LORD.”

spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto
yourselves: lay thee an

bottle of wine:

Even as I
sware unto thee by the LORD God of Israel, saying,
Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my
stead; even so will I certainly do this day.
I will
carry out this very day exactly what I
swore to you by the LORD, the God of Israel: Surely your son Solomon will reign after me, and he will sit on my throne in my place.”
Concerning this house which thou art in building, if thou
wilt walk in my statutes, and
execute my judgments, and keep all my commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with thee, which I spake unto David thy father:
“As for this temple you are building, if you walk in My statutes,
carry out My ordinances, and keep all My commandments by walking in them, I will
fulfill through you the promise I made to your father David.
If they sin against thee, (for there is no man that sinneth not,) and thou be
angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they
carry them away
captives unto the land of the enemy, far or near;
When they sin against You—for there is no one who does not sin—and You become
angry with them and deliver them to an enemy who takes them as
captives to his own land, whether far or near,
Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.

And it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from thee, that the Spirit of the LORD shall
carry thee
whither I know not; and so when I come and tell
Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he shall
slay me: but I thy servant fear the LORD from my youth.
I do not know where the Spirit of the LORD may
carry you off when I leave you. Then when I go and tell
Ahab and he does not find you, he will kill me. But I, your servant, have feared the LORD from my youth.
Yet I will send my servants unto thee to
morrow about this time, and they shall search thine house, and the houses of thy servants; and it shall be, that
whatsoever is pleasant in thine eyes, they shall put it in their hand, and take it away.

armor. So the king said to his
charioteer, “Turn around and take me out of the battle, for I am badly wounded!”

carry. For your servant will never again make a burnt offering or a sacrifice to any other god but the LORD.
And when thou comest thither, look out there
Jehu the son of
Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and
carry him to an inner chamber;

Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi. Go in, get him away from his companions, and take him to an inner room.

executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of

Jehu, “Because you have done well in
carrying out what is right in My sight and have done to the house of

spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did
Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD.
Furthermore,
Josiah removed the mediums and spiritists, the household gods and idols, and all the abominations that were seen in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem. He did this to

Then David said, “No one but the Levites may

carry the ark of the LORD and to minister before Him
