fourscore men, having their beards
shaven, and their
clothes rent, and having cut themselves, with offerings and incense in their hand, to bring them to the house of the LORD.

shaved off their beards,
torn their garments, and cut themselves came from
Shechem,
Shiloh, and Samaria, carrying grain offerings and
frankincense for the house of the LORD.

Then I will deliver you into the hands of your lovers, and they will level your mounds and
tear down your lofty shrines. They will strip off your
clothes, take your fine
jewelry, and leave you naked and bare.
They shall also strip thee out of thy clothes, and take away thy fair jewels.
They will strip off your
clothes and take your fine
jewelry.

clothes for
chariots.

These were thy merchants in all sorts of things, in blue
clothes, and
broidered work, and in chests of rich

cedar, among thy
merchandise.
In your marketplace they traded with you fine garments of blue,
embroidered work, and multicolored rugs with cords
tightly twisted and
knotted.
When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people.
Once the priests have entered the holy area, they must not go out into the outer court until they have left behind the garments in which they minister, for these are holy. They are to put on other clothes before they approach the places that are for the people.”
And when they go forth into the utter court, even into the utter court to the people, they shall put off their garments wherein they ministered, and lay them in the holy chambers, and they shall put on other garments; and they shall not
sanctify the people with their garments.
When they go out to the outer court, to the people, they are to take off the garments in which they have ministered, leave them in the holy chambers, and dress in other
clothes so that they do not
transmit holiness to the people with their garments.

Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye

clothes but never get warm. You
earn wages to put into a
bag pierced through.”

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than
raiment?
Therefore I tell you, do not
worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than
clothes?
And why take ye thought for
raiment? Consider the
lilies of the field, how they grow; they
toil not, neither do they
spin:
And why do you
worry about
clothes? Consider how the
lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or
spin.
Wherefore, if God so
clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to
morrow is cast into the
oven, shall he not much more
clothe you, O ye of little faith?

clothes the grass of the field, which is here
today and
tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more
clothe you, O you of little faith?

blasphemy.

clothes back on Him. Then they led Him away to
crucify Him.

crucify Him.

If then God so
clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to
morrow is cast into the
oven; how much more will he
clothe you, O ye of little faith?
If that is how God
clothes the grass of the field, which is here
today and
tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He
clothe you, O you of little faith!

Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen
clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to
bury.
So they took the body of Jesus and
wrapped it in linen cloths with the spices, according to the Jewish burial custom.

stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen

cried out, and cast off their
clothes, and threw dust into the air,
As they were
shouting and throwing off their cloaks and
tossing dust into the air,
Likewise, I want the women to
adorn themselves with respectable
apparel, with
modesty, and with self-control, not with
braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive
clothes,
For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly
apparel, and there come in also a poor man in
vile raiment;
Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine
clothes, and a poor man in
shabby clothes also comes in.
And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my
footstool:
If you
lavish attention on the man in fine
clothes and say, “Here is a seat of honor,” but say to the poor man, “You must stand” or “Sit at my feet,”

kindled with anger,
forthwith he took away
