Seven
days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth
day shall be an holy
convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no
servile work therein.
For seven days you are to present an offering made by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you are to hold a sacred assembly and present an offering made by fire to the LORD. It is a solemn assembly; you must not do any regular work.
These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall
proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his
day:
These are the LORD’s appointed feasts, which you are to
proclaim as sacred
assemblies for presenting offerings by fire to the LORD—burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, each on its designated
day.
Also in the
fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven
days: on the first
day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth
day shall be a sabbath.
On the
fifteenth day of the seventh month, after you have gathered the produce of the land, you are to
celebrate a feast to the LORD for seven
days. There shall be complete rest on the first
day and also on the eighth
day.
And ye shall take you on the first
day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the
brook; and ye shall
rejoice before the LORD your God seven
days.
On the first
day you are to gather the fruit of
majestic trees, the branches of palm trees, and the boughs of
leafy trees and of willows of the
brook. And you are to
rejoice before the LORD your God for seven
days.
And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven
days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall
celebrate it in the seventh month.
You are to
celebrate this as a feast to the LORD for seven
days each year. This is a permanent statute for the generations to come; you are to
celebrate it in the seventh month.
Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
You are to dwell in booths for seven days. All the native-born of Israel must dwell in booths,
Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an
everlasting covenant.
Every Sabbath day the bread is to be set out before the LORD on behalf of the Israelites as a permanent covenant.
Then shalt thou cause the
trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth
day of the seventh month, in the
day of
atonement shall ye make the
trumpet sound throughout all your land.
Then you are to sound the horn far and wide on the tenth
day of the seventh month, the
Day of
Atonement. You shall sound it throughout your land.
Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth
desolate, and ye be in your enemies’ land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.
Then the land shall enjoy its Sabbaths all the
days it lies
desolate, while you are in the land of your enemies. At that time the land will rest and enjoy its Sabbaths.
Then the priest shall
reckon unto him the worth of thy
estimation, even unto the year of the jubile: and he shall give thine
estimation in that
day, as a holy thing unto the LORD.
then the priest shall
calculate for him the value up to the Year of
Jubilee, and the man shall pay the
assessed value on that
day as a sacred offering to the LORD.
And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of
Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first
day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
On the first
day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites had come out of the land of Egypt, the LORD spoke to Moses in the Tent of Meeting in the Wilderness of
Sinai. He said:
And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.
and on the first
day of the second month they assembled the whole congregation and recorded their
ancestry by clans and families, counting one by one the names of those twenty years of age or older,
These also are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the
day that the LORD spake with Moses in mount
Sinai.
This is the account of Aaron and Moses at the time the LORD spoke with Moses on Mount
Sinai.
Because all the
firstborn are mine; for on the
day that I
smote all the
firstborn in the land of Egypt I
hallowed unto me all the
firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the LORD.
for all the
firstborn are Mine. On the
day I struck down every
firstborn in the land of Egypt, I consecrated to Myself all the
firstborn in Israel, both man and beast. They are Mine; I am the LORD.”
All the
days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine tree, from the kernels even to the
husk.
All the
days of his separation, he is not to eat anything that comes from the
grapevine, not even the seeds or skins.
All the
days of the
vow of his separation there shall no
razor come upon his head: until the
days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto the LORD, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.
For the entire period of his
vow of separation, no
razor shall pass over his head. He must be holy until the time of his separation to the LORD is complete; he must let the hair of his head grow long.
All the days that he separateth himself unto the LORD he shall come at no dead body.
Throughout the days of his separation to the LORD, he must not go near a dead body.
All the days of his separation he is holy unto the LORD.
Throughout the time of his separation, he is holy to the LORD.
If someone suddenly dies in his presence and defiles his consecrated head of hair, he must
shave his head on the
day of his
cleansing—the seventh
day.
And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons, to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:
On the eighth day he must bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, and make an
atonement for him, for that he
sinned by the dead, and shall
hallow his head that same
day.
And the priest is to offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering to make
atonement for him, because he has
sinned by being in the presence of the dead body. On that
day he must
consecrate his head again.
And he shall
consecrate unto the LORD the
days of his separation, and shall bring a lamb of the first year for a
trespass offering: but the
days that were before shall be lost, because his separation was
defiled.
He must rededicate his time of separation to the LORD and bring a year-old male lamb as a guilt offering. But the preceding
days shall not be counted, because his separation was
defiled.
And this is the law of the
Nazarite, when the
days of his separation are fulfilled: he shall be brought unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:
Now this is the law of the
Nazirite when his time of separation is complete: He must be brought to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting,
And it came to pass on the
day that Moses had fully set up the tabernacle, and had
anointed it, and
sanctified it, and all the instruments thereof, both the altar and all the vessels thereof, and had
anointed them, and
sanctified them;
On the
day Moses finished setting up the tabernacle, he
anointed and consecrated it and all its furnishings, along with the altar and all its utensils.
And the princes offered for
dedicating of the altar in the
day that it was
anointed, even the princes offered their offering before the altar.
When the altar was
anointed, the leaders approached with their offerings for its
dedication and presented them before the altar.
And the LORD said unto Moses, They shall offer their offering, each prince on his
day, for the
dedicating of the altar.
And the LORD said to Moses, “Each
day one leader is to present his offering for the
dedication of the altar.”
And he that offered his offering the first
day was Nahshon the son of
Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah:
On the first
day Nahshon son of
Amminadab from the tribe of Judah drew near with his offering.
On the second
day Nethaneel the son of Zuar, prince of
Issachar, did offer:
On the second
day Nethanel son of Zuar, the leader of
Issachar, drew near.
On the third
day Eliab the son of Helon, prince of the children of
Zebulun, did offer:
On the third day Eliab son of Helon, the leader of the Zebulunites, drew near.
On the fourth
day Elizur the son of Shedeur, prince of the children of
Reuben, did offer:
On the fourth day Elizur son of Shedeur, the leader of the Reubenites, drew near.
On the fifth
day Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai, prince of the children of
Simeon, did offer:
On the fifth day Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai, the leader of the Simeonites, drew near.
On the sixth
day Eliasaph the son of Deuel, prince of the children of
Gad, offered:
On the sixth day Eliasaph son of Deuel, the leader of the Gadites, drew near.
On the seventh day Elishama the son of Ammihud, prince of the children of Ephraim, offered:
On the seventh day Elishama son of Ammihud, the leader of the Ephraimites, drew near.
On the eighth
day offered
Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur, prince of the children of
Manasseh:
On the eighth
day Gamaliel son of Pedahzur, the leader of the Manassites, drew near.
On the ninth day Abidan the son of Gideoni, prince of the children of Benjamin, offered:
On the ninth day Abidan son of Gideoni, the leader of the Benjamites, drew near.
On the tenth
day Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai, prince of the children of
Dan, offered:
On the tenth day Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai, the leader of the Danites, drew near.
On the
eleventh day Pagiel the son of Ocran, prince of the children of Asher, offered:
On the
eleventh day Pagiel son of Ocran, the leader of the Asherites, drew near.
On the
twelfth day Ahira the son of Enan, prince of the children of
Naphtali, offered:
On the
twelfth day Ahira son of Enan, the leader of the Naphtalites, drew near.
This was the
dedication of the altar, in the
day when it was
anointed, by the princes of Israel: twelve chargers of silver, twelve silver
bowls, twelve spoons of gold:
So these were the offerings from the leaders of Israel for the
dedication of the altar when it was
anointed: twelve silver platters, twelve silver
bowls, and twelve gold dishes.
For all the
firstborn of the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the
day that I
smote every
firstborn in the land of Egypt I
sanctified them for myself.
For every
firstborn male in Israel is Mine, both man and beast. I set them apart for Myself on the
day I struck down all the
firstborn in the land of Egypt.
In the
fourteenth day of this month, at even, ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye keep it.
You are to observe it at the appointed time, at
twilight on the
fourteenth day of this month, in accordance with its statutes and ordinances.”
And they kept the
passover on the
fourteenth day of the first month at even in the wilderness of
Sinai: according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.
and they did so in the Wilderness of
Sinai, at
twilight on the
fourteenth day of the first month. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And there were certain men, who were
defiled by the dead body of a man, that they could not keep the
passover on that
day: and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that
day:
But there were some men who were unclean due to a dead body, so they could not observe the
Passover on that
day. And they came before Moses and Aaron that same
day The
fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with
unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
Such people are to observe it at
twilight on the
fourteenth day of the second month. They are to eat the lamb, together with
unleavened bread and bitter herbs;
And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning.
On the day that the tabernacle, the Tent of the Testimony, was set up, the cloud covered it and appeared like fire above the tabernacle from evening until morning.
So it was
alway: the cloud covered it by
day, and the appearance of fire by night.
It remained that way continually; the cloud would cover the tabernacle by day, and at night it would appear like fire.
And when the cloud
tarried long upon the tabernacle many
days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and journeyed not.
Even when the cloud
lingered over the tabernacle for many
days, the Israelites kept the LORD’s charge and did not set out.
And so it was, when the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they abode in their tents, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed.
Sometimes the cloud remained over the tabernacle for only a few days, and they would camp at the LORD’s command and set out at the LORD’s command.
And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.
Sometimes the cloud remained only from evening until morning, and when it lifted in the morning, they would set out. Whether it was by day or by night, when the cloud was taken up, they would set out.
Or whether it were two
days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud
tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining
thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.
Whether the cloud
lingered for two
days, a month, or longer, the Israelites camped and did not set out as long as the cloud remained over the tabernacle; but when it was lifted, they would set out.
Also in the
day of your
gladness, and in your solemn
days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the
trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a
memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.
And on your
joyous occasions, your appointed feasts, and the beginning of each month, you are to blow the
trumpets over your burnt offerings and
fellowship offerings to serve as a reminder for you before your God. I am the LORD your God.”
And it came to pass on the
twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.
On the
twentieth day of the second month of the second year, the cloud was lifted from above the tabernacle of the Testimony,
And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days’ journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days’ journey, to search out a resting place for them.
So they set out on a three-
day journey from the mountain of the LORD, with the ark of the covenant of the LORD traveling
ahead of them for those three
days to seek a resting place for them.
And the cloud of the LORD was upon them by day, when they went out of the camp.
And the cloud of the LORD was over them by day when they set out from the camp.
Ye shall not eat one day, nor two days, nor five days, neither ten days, nor twenty days;
You will eat it not for one or two days, nor for five or ten or twenty days,
And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the camp, as it were a day’s journey on this side, and as it were a day’s journey on the other side, round about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth.
Now a wind sent by the LORD came up, drove in
quail from the sea, and brought them near the camp, about two cubits above the surface of the ground, for a
day’s journey in every direction around the camp.
And the people stood up all that day, and all that night, and all the next day, and they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp.
All that
day and night, and all the next
day, the people stayed up gathering the
quail. No one gathered less than ten homers, and they spread them out all around the camp.
And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but
spit in her face, should she not be
ashamed seven
days? let her be shut out from the camp seven
days, and after that let her be received in again.
But the LORD answered Moses, “If her father had but
spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven
days? Let her be confined outside the camp for seven
days; after that she may be brought back in.”
And
Miriam was shut out from the camp seven
days: and the people journeyed not till
Miriam was brought in again.
So
Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven
days, and the people did not move on until she was brought in again.
And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.
After forty
days the men returned from
spying out the land,
And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by
daytime in a
pillar of a cloud, and in a
pillar of fire by night.
And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have already heard that You, O LORD, are in the midst of this people, that You, O LORD, have been seen face to face, that Your cloud stands over them, and that You go before them in a
pillar of cloud by
day and a
pillar of fire by night.
After the number of the
days in which ye searched the land, even forty
days, each
day for a year, shall ye bear your
iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.
In keeping with the forty
days you
spied out the land, you shall bear your guilt forty years—a year for each
day—and you will experience My
alienation.
Even all that the LORD hath commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the
day that the LORD commanded Moses, and
henceforward among your generations;
all that the LORD has commanded you through Moses from the day the LORD gave them and continuing through the generations to come—
And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.
While the Israelites were in the wilderness, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day.
But on the
morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel
murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.
The next day the whole congregation of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron, saying, “You have killed the LORD’s people!”
And it came to pass, that on the
morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was
budded, and brought forth buds, and
bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.
The next
day Moses entered the Tent of the Testimony and saw that Aaron’s staff, representing the house of Levi, had
sprouted, put forth buds,
blossomed, and produced almonds.
He that toucheth the dead body of any man shall be unclean seven days.
Whoever touches any dead body will be unclean for seven
days.
He shall
purify himself with it on the third
day, and on the seventh
day he shall be clean: but if he
purify not himself the third
day, then the seventh
day he shall not be clean.
He must
purify himself with the water on the third
day and on the seventh
day; then he will be clean. But if he does not
purify himself on the third and seventh
days, he will not be clean.
This is the law, when a man dieth in a tent: all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.
This is the law when a person dies in a tent:
Everyone who enters the tent and
everyone already in the tent will be unclean for seven
days,
And
whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven
days.
Anyone in the open field who touches someone who has been killed by the sword or has died of natural causes, or
anyone who touches a human bone or a grave, will be unclean for seven
days.
And the clean person shall
sprinkle upon the unclean on the third
day, and on the seventh
day: and on the seventh
day he shall
purify himself, and wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even.
The man who is
ceremonially clean is to
sprinkle the unclean person on the third
day and on the seventh
day. After he purifies the unclean person on the seventh
day, the one being
cleansed must wash his clothes and
bathe in water, and that evening he will be clean.
And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they
mourned for Aaron thirty
days, even all the house of Israel.
When the whole congregation saw that Aaron had died, the entire house of Israel
mourned for him thirty
days.
And the
ass said unto
Balaam, Am not I thine
ass, upon which thou hast
ridden ever since I was thine unto this
day? was I ever
wont to do so unto thee? And he said,
Nay.
But the
donkey said to
Balaam, “Am I not the
donkey you have
ridden all your life until
today? Have I ever treated you this way before?” “No,” he replied.
And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will
advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter
days.
Now I am going back to my people, but come, let me
warn you what this people will do to your people in the
days to come.”
And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and
hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Take all the leaders of the people and
execute them in broad
daylight before the LORD, so that His fierce anger may turn away from Israel.”
For they
vex you with their wiles,
wherewith they have
beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of
Midian, their sister, which was slain in the
day of the plague for Peor’s sake.
For they
assailed you
deceitfully when they
seduced you in the matter of Peor and their sister Cozbi, the daughter of the Midianite leader, the woman who was killed on the
day the plague came because of Peor.”
And thou shalt say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the LORD; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering.
And tell them that this is the offering made by fire you are to present to the LORD as a regular burnt offering each
day: two
unblemished year-old male lambs.
And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof:
On the Sabbath
day, present two
unblemished year-old male lambs, accompanied by a grain offering of two-tenths of an
ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, as well as a drink offering.
And in the
fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven
days shall
unleavened bread be eaten.
On the
fifteenth day of this month, there shall be a feast; for seven
days unleavened bread is to be eaten.
In the first
day shall be an holy
convocation; ye shall do no manner of
servile work therein:
On the first day there is to be a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular work.
After this manner ye shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the meat of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD: it shall be offered beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.
Offer the same food each
day for seven
days as an offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD. It is to be offered with its drink offering and the regular burnt offering.
On the seventh day you shall hold a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular work.
Also in the
day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering unto the LORD, after your weeks be out, ye shall have an holy
convocation; ye shall do no
servile work:
On the day of firstfruits, when you present an offering of new grain to the LORD during the Feast of Weeks, you are to hold a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular work.
And in the seventh month, on the first
day of the month, ye shall have an holy
convocation; ye shall do no
servile work: it is a
day of blowing the
trumpets unto you.
“On the first
day of the seventh month, you are to hold a sacred assembly, and you must not do any regular work. This will be a
day for you to sound the
trumpets.
And ye shall have on the tenth
day of this seventh month an holy
convocation; and ye shall
afflict your souls: ye shall not do any work therein:
On the tenth
day of this seventh month, you are to hold a sacred assembly, and you shall humble
yourselves; you must not do any work.
And on the
fifteenth day of the seventh month ye shall have an holy
convocation; ye shall do no
servile work, and ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven
days:
On the
fifteenth day of the seventh month, you are to hold a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular work, and you shall observe a feast to the LORD for seven
days.
And on the second day ye shall offer twelve young bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without spot:
On the second
day you are to present twelve young bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all
unblemished,
And on the third
day eleven bullocks, two rams, fourteen lambs of the first year without
blemish;
On the third
day you are to present eleven bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all
unblemished,
And on the fourth
day ten bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without
blemish:
On the fourth
day you are to present ten bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all
unblemished,
And on the fifth day nine bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without spot:
On the fifth
day you are to present nine bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all
unblemished,
And on the sixth
day eight bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without
blemish:
On the sixth
day you are to present eight bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all
unblemished,
And on the seventh
day seven bullocks, two rams, and fourteen lambs of the first year without
blemish:
On the seventh
day you are to present seven bulls, two rams, and fourteen male lambs a year old, all
unblemished,
On the eighth
day ye shall have a solemn assembly: ye shall do no
servile work therein:
On the eighth day you are to hold a solemn assembly; you must not do any regular work.
But if her father disallow her in the
day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds
wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the LORD shall
forgive her, because her father disallowed her.
But if her father prohibits her on the
day he hears about it, then none of the vows or pledges by which she has bound herself shall stand. The LORD will
absolve her because her father has prohibited her.
And her husband heard it, and held his peace at her in the
day that he heard it: then her vows shall stand, and her bonds
wherewith she bound her soul shall stand.
and her husband hears of it but says nothing to her on that day, then the vows or pledges by which she has bound herself shall stand.
But if her husband disallowed her on the
day that he heard it; then he shall make her
vow which she
vowed, and that which she uttered with her lips,
wherewith she bound her soul, of none effect: and the LORD shall
forgive her.
But if her husband prohibits her when he hears of it, he nullifies the
vow that binds her or the
rash promise she has made, and the LORD will
absolve her.
But if her husband hath utterly made them void on the
day he heard them; then
whatsoever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband hath made them void; and the LORD shall
forgive her.
But if her husband nullifies them on the
day he hears of them, then nothing that came from her lips, whether her vows or pledges, shall stand. Her husband has
nullified them, and the LORD will
absolve her.
But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them.
But if her husband says nothing to her from day to day, then he confirms all the vows and pledges that bind her. He has confirmed them, because he said nothing to her on the day he heard about them.
All of you who have killed a person or touched the dead are to remain outside the camp for seven
days. On the third
day and the seventh
day you are to
purify both
yourselves and your
captives.
