These things ye shall do unto the LORD in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your
freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.
You are to present these offerings to the LORD at your appointed times, in addition to your
vow and
freewill offerings, whether burnt offerings,
grain offerings, drink offerings, or peace offerings.”
And he will love thee, and
bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also
bless the fruit of thy
womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy
kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he
sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
He will love you and
bless you and multiply you. He will
bless the fruit of your
womb and the produce of your land—your
grain, new wine, and oil, the young of your herds and the lambs of your flocks—in the land that He
swore to your fathers to give you.
That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
then I will provide rain for your land in season, the autumn and spring rains, that you may gather your grain, new wine, and oil.
Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the
tithe of thy corn, or of thy wine, or of thy oil, or the firstlings of thy herds or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy
freewill offerings, or
heave offering of thine hand:
Within your gates you must not eat the
tithe of your
grain or new wine or oil, the
firstborn of your herds or flocks, any of the offerings that you have
vowed to give, or your
freewill offerings or special gifts.
And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the
tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
And you are to eat a tenth of your
grain, new wine, and oil, and the
firstborn of your herds and flocks, in the presence of the LORD your God at the place He will choose as a dwelling for His Name, so that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always.
Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the
sickle to the corn.
You are to count off seven weeks from the time you first put the
sickle to the standing
grain.
The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the
fleece of thy sheep, shalt thou give him.
You are to give them the firstfruits of your
grain, new wine, and oil, and the first wool
sheared from your flock.
When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest
pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a
sickle unto thy neighbour’s standing corn.
Thou shalt not
muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.
And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy
kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
They will eat the offspring of your
livestock and the produce of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no
grain or new wine or oil, no
calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks, until they have caused you to perish.
Butter of
kine, and milk of sheep, with fat of lambs, and rams of the breed of
Bashan, and goats, with the fat of
kidneys of wheat; and thou
didst drink the pure blood of the
grape.
with curds from the
herd and milk from the flock, with the fat of lambs, with rams from
Bashan, and goats, with the choicest
grains of wheat. From the juice of the finest grapes you
drank the wine.
Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down
dew.
So Israel dwells securely; the fountain of Jacob lives untroubled in a land of
grain and new wine, where even the heavens
drip with
dew.
That we have built us an altar to turn from following the LORD, or if to offer
thereon burnt offering or meat offering, or if to offer peace offerings
thereon, let the LORD himself require it;
If we have built for ourselves an altar to turn away from Him and to offer burnt offerings and
grain offerings on it, or to sacrifice
fellowship offerings on it, may the LORD Himself hold us accountable.
God
forbid that we should
rebel against the LORD, and turn this day from following the LORD, to build an altar for burnt offerings, for meat offerings, or for sacrifices, beside the altar of the LORD our God that is before his tabernacle.
Far be it from us to
rebel against the LORD and turn away from Him
today by building an altar for burnt offerings,
grain offerings, or sacrifices, other than the altar of the LORD our God, which stands before His tabernacle.”
So
Manoah took a
kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the LORD: and the angel did wonderously; and
Manoah and his wife looked on.
Then
Manoah took a young goat and a
grain offering and offered them on a rock to the LORD. And as
Manoah and his wife looked on, the LORD did a
marvelous thing.
But his wife said unto him, If the LORD were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he have shewed us all these things, nor would as at this time have told us such things as these.
But his wife replied, “If the LORD had intended to kill us, He would not have accepted the burnt offering and the grain offering from our hands, nor would He have shown us all these things or spoken to us this way.”
And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives.
Then he
lit the torches and released the foxes into the standing
grain of the Philistines, burning up the piles of
grain and the standing
grain, as well as the vineyards and olive groves.
But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to
Gaza, and bound him with
fetters of brass; and he did
grind in the prison house.
Then the Philistines seized him,
gouged out his eyes, and brought him down to
Gaza, where he was bound with bronze
shackles and forced to
grind grain in the prison.
And
Ruth the
Moabitess said unto
Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and
glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.
And
Ruth the
Moabitess said to
Naomi, “Please let me go into the fields and
glean heads of
grain after someone in whose sight I may find favor.” “Go
ahead, my daughter,”
Naomi replied.
And Boaz said unto her, At
mealtime come thou
hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy
morsel in the
vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers: and he reached her
parched corn, and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left.
At
mealtime Boaz said to her, “Come over here; have some bread and dip it into the
vinegar sauce.” So she sat down beside the harvesters, and he offered her
roasted grain, and she
ate and was satisfied and had some left over.
So she
gleaned in the field until even, and beat out that she had
gleaned: and it was about an
ephah of barley.
So
Ruth gathered
grain in the field until evening. And when she beat out what she had
gleaned, it was about an
ephah of barley.
And she took it up, and went into the city: and her mother in law saw what she had
gleaned: and she brought forth, and gave to her that she had reserved after she was sufficed.
She
picked up the
grain and went into the town, where her mother-in-law saw what she had
gleaned. And she brought out what she had saved from her meal and gave it to
Naomi.
So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to
glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother in law.
So
Ruth stayed close to the servant girls of Boaz to
glean grain until the barley and wheat harvests were finished. And she lived with her mother-in-law.
And when Boaz had eaten and
drunk, and his heart was
merry, he went to lie down at the end of the
heap of corn: and she came softly, and uncovered his feet, and laid her down.
After Boaz had finished eating and drinking and was in good spirits, he went to lie down at the end of the
heap of
grain. Then
Ruth went in secretly, uncovered his feet, and lay down.
And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants.
He will take a tenth of your
grain and
grape harvest and give it to his officials and servants.
And
Jesse said unto David his son, Take now for thy brethren an
ephah of this
parched corn, and these ten
loaves, and run to the camp to thy brethren;
One day
Jesse said to his son David, “Take this
ephah of
roasted grain and these ten
loaves of bread for your brothers and
hurry to their camp.
Then
Abigail made
haste, and took two hundred
loaves, and two bottles of wine, and five sheep ready dressed, and five measures of
parched corn, and an hundred clusters of
raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs, and laid them on
asses.
Ye mountains of
Gilboa, let there be no
dew, neither let there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the mighty is
vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been
anointed with oil.
O mountains of
Gilboa, may you have no
dew or rain, no fields yielding offerings of
grain. For there the shield of the mighty was
defiled, the shield of Saul, no longer
anointed with oil.
And the woman took and spread a covering over the well’s mouth, and spread ground corn
thereon; and the thing was not known.
Then the man’s wife took a covering and spread it over the mouth of the well,
scattering grain over it so
nobody would know a thing.
Brought beds, and basons, and
earthen vessels, and wheat, and barley, and flour, and
parched corn, and beans, and lentiles, and
parched pulse,
They brought beds, basins, and
earthen vessels, as well as wheat, barley, flour,
roasted grain, beans, lentils,
The same day did the king
hallow the middle of the court that was before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings: because the
brasen altar that was before the LORD was too little to receive the burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.
On that same day the king consecrated the middle of the
courtyard in front of the house of the LORD, and there he offered the burnt offerings, the
grain offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, since the bronze altar before the LORD was too small to contain all these offerings.
And there came a man from
Baal-shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty
loaves of barley, and full ears of corn in the
husk thereof. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.
Now a man from
Baal-shalishah came to the man of God with a
sack of twenty
loaves of barley bread from the first ripe
grain. “Give it to the people to eat,” said
Elisha.
and he burnt his burnt offering and his meat offering, and poured his drink offering, and
sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings, upon the altar.
He offered his burnt offering and his
grain offering, poured out his drink offering, and
sprinkled the blood of his peace offerings on the altar.
And king
Ahaz commanded Urijah the priest, saying, Upon the great altar burn the morning burnt offering, and the evening meat offering, and the king’s burnt sacrifice, and his meat offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their meat offering, and their drink offerings; and
sprinkle upon it all the blood of the burnt offering, and all the blood of the sacrifice: and the
brasen altar shall be for me to
enquire by.
Then King
Ahaz commanded Uriah the priest, “Offer on the great altar the morning burnt offering, the evening
grain offering, and the king’s burnt offering and
grain offering, as well as the burnt offerings,
grain offerings, and drink offerings of all the people of the land.
Sprinkle on the altar all the blood of the burnt offerings and sacrifices. But I will use the bronze altar to seek guidance.”
Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of oil olive and of honey, that ye may live, and not die: and
hearken not unto
Hezekiah, when he persuadeth you, saying, The LORD will deliver us.
until I come and take you away to a land like your own—a land of
grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive trees and honey—so that you may live and not die. But do not
listen to
Hezekiah, for he misleads you when he says, ‘The LORD will deliver us.’
And Ornan said unto David, Take it to thee, and let my lord the king do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give thee the oxen also for burnt offerings, and the
threshing instruments for wood, and the wheat for the meat offering; I give it all.
Ornan said to David, “My lord the king may take whatever seems good. Look, I will give the oxen for the burnt offerings, the
threshing sledges for the wood, and the wheat for the
grain offering—I will give it all.”
Both for the
shewbread, and for the fine flour for meat offering, and for the
unleavened cakes, and for that which is
baked in the pan, and for that which is
fried, and for all manner of measure and size;
And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the
tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.
As soon as the order went out, the Israelites generously provided the firstfruits of the
grain, new wine, oil, and honey, and of all the produce of the field, and they brought in an abundance—a
tithe of everything.
Storehouses also for the increase of corn, and wine, and oil; and stalls for all manner of beasts, and
cotes for flocks.
He also made storehouses for the harvest of
grain and new wine and oil, stalls for all kinds of
livestock, and pens for the flocks.
That thou mayest
buy speedily with this money bullocks, rams, lambs, with their meat offerings and their drink offerings, and offer them upon the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.
With this money, therefore, you are to
buy as many bulls, rams, and lambs as needed, together with their
grain offerings and drink offerings, and offer them on the altar at the house of your God in Jerusalem.
For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live.
Some were saying, “We and our sons and daughters are numerous. We must get grain in order to eat and stay alive.”
Some also there were that said, We have
mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might
buy corn, because of the
dearth.
Others were saying, “We are
mortgaging our fields, our vineyards, and our homes to get
grain during the famine.”
I likewise, and my brethren, and my servants, might exact of them money and corn: I pray you, let us leave off this
usury.
I, as well as my brothers and my servants, have been
lending the people money and
grain. Please, let us stop this
usury.
Restore, I pray you, to them, even this day, their lands, their vineyards, their oliveyards, and their houses, also the
hundredth part of the money, and of the corn, the wine, and the oil, that ye exact of them.
Please restore to them immediately their fields, vineyards, olive groves, and houses, along with the percentage of the money,
grain, new wine, and oil that you have been
assessing them.”
And if the people of the land bring ware or any
victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not
buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the
exaction of every debt.
When the people of the land bring
merchandise or any kind of
grain to sell on the Sabbath day, we will not
buy from them on a Sabbath or holy day. Every seventh year we will let the fields lie
fallow, and will
cancel every debt.
For the
shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an
atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.
for the
showbread, for the regular
grain offerings and burnt offerings, for the Sabbath offerings, for the New Moons and appointed feasts, for the holy offerings, for the sin offerings to make
atonement for Israel, and for all the duties of the house of our God.
And that we should bring the firstfruits of our
dough, and our offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, of wine and of oil, unto the priests, to the chambers of the house of our God; and the
tithes of our ground unto the Levites, that the same Levites might have the
tithes in all the cities of our
tillage.
Moreover, we will bring to the priests at the storerooms of the house of our God the firstfruits of our
dough, of our
grain offerings, of the fruit of all our trees, and of our new wine and oil. A tenth of our produce belongs to the Levites, so that they shall receive
tithes in all the towns where we labor.
For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the offering of the corn, of the new wine, and the oil, unto the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the
porters, and the singers: and we will not
forsake the house of our God.
For the Israelites and the Levites are to bring the contributions of grain, new wine, and oil to the storerooms where the articles of the sanctuary are kept and where the ministering priests, the gatekeepers, and the singers stay. Thus we will not neglect the house of our God.”
And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where
aforetime they laid the meat offerings, the
frankincense, and the vessels, and the
tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the
porters; and the offerings of the priests.
and had prepared for
Tobiah a large room where they had previously stored the
grain offerings, the
frankincense, the temple articles, and the
tithes of
grain, new wine, and oil prescribed for the Levites, singers, and gatekeepers, along with the contributions for the priests.
Then I commanded, and they
cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God, with the meat offering and the
frankincense.
Then I ordered that the rooms be
purified, and I had the articles of the house of God restored to them, along with the
grain offerings and
frankincense.
Then brought all Judah the
tithe of the corn and the new wine and the oil unto the
treasuries.
and all Judah brought a tenth of the grain, new wine, and oil into the storerooms.
In those days saw I in Judah some
treading winepresses on the sabbath, and bringing in
sheaves, and
lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I
testified against them in the day wherein they sold
victuals.
In those days I saw people in Judah
treading winepresses on the Sabbath and bringing in
grain and loading it on
donkeys, along with wine, grapes, and figs. All kinds of goods were being brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day. So I
warned them against selling food on that day.
Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a
shock of corn cometh in in his season.
You will come to the grave in full
vigor, like a
sheaf of
grain gathered in season.
They are
exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
They are
exalted for a moment, then they are gone; they are brought low and gathered up like all others; they are cut off like heads of
grain.
Then let my wife
grind unto another, and let others bow down upon her.
then may my own wife
grind grain for another, and may other men sleep with her.
Wilt thou believe him, that he will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy
barn?
Can you trust him to bring in your
grain and gather it to your
threshing floor?
Thou hast put
gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.
You have filled my heart with more joy than when grain and new wine abound.
Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.
You attend to the earth and water it; with abundance You
enrich it. The streams of God are full of water, for You prepare our
grain by providing for the earth.
The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they
shout for joy, they also sing.
The pastures are clothed with flocks, and the valleys are decked with
grain. They
shout in triumph; indeed, they sing.
There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall
shake like
Lebanon: and they of the city shall
flourish like grass of the earth.
May there be an abundance of
grain in the land; may it
sway atop the hills. May its fruit trees
flourish like the forests of
Lebanon, and its people like the grass of the field.
And had rained down
manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven.
He rained down
manna for them to eat; He gave them
grain from heaven.
He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with
rejoicing, bringing his
sheaves with him.
He who goes out
weeping, bearing a
trail of seed, will surely return with shouts of joy, carrying
sheaves of
grain.
If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I
awake, I am still with thee.
If I were to count them, they would outnumber the
grains of sand; and when I
awake, I am still with You.
He that withholdeth corn, the people shall
curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
The people will
curse the
hoarder of
grain, but blessing will crown the one who sells it.
Though you
grind a
fool like
grain with mortar and a
pestle, yet his folly will not depart from him.
The hay appeareth, and the tender grass sheweth itself, and herbs of the mountains are gathered.
When hay is removed and new growth appears and the grain from the hills is gathered,
Yea, ten acres of
vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of an homer shall yield an
ephah.
For ten acres of
vineyard will yield but a bath of wine, and a homer of seed only an
ephah of
grain.”
And it shall be as when the
harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of
Rephaim.
as the
reaper gathers the standing
grain and harvests the ears with his arm, as one gleans heads of
grain in the Valley of
Rephaim.
And by great waters the seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river, is her revenue; and she is a
mart of nations.
On the great waters came the grain of Shihor; the harvest of the Nile was the revenue of Tyre; she was the merchant of the nations.
Grain for bread must be ground, but it is not endlessly
threshed. Though the wheels of the
cart roll over it, the horses do not
crush it.
Until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of corn and wine, a land of bread and vineyards.
until I come and take you away to a land like your own—a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards.
Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy
bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.
Your descendants would have been as countless as the sand, and your offspring as numerous as its
grains; their name would never be cut off or
eliminated from My presence.”
Among the smooth stones of the stream is thy portion; they, they are thy lot: even to them hast thou poured a drink offering, thou hast offered a meat offering. Should I receive comfort in these?
