Speak unto Aaron, saying,
Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any
blemish, let him not approach to
offer the bread of his God.
“Say to Aaron, ‘For the generations to come, none of your descendants who has a physical defect may approach to offer the food of his God.
No man that hath a
blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come
nigh to
offer the
offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a
blemish; he shall not come
nigh to
offer the bread of his God.
No
descendant of Aaron the priest who has a defect shall approach to present the
offerings made by fire to the LORD. Since he has a defect, he is not to come near to
offer the food of his God.
Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they
profane not my holy name in those things which they
hallow unto me: I am the LORD.
“Tell Aaron and his sons to treat with respect the sacred
offerings that the Israelites have consecrated to Me, so that they do not
profane My holy name. I am the LORD.
Say unto them,
Whosoever he be of all your seed among your generations, that goeth unto the holy things, which the children of Israel
hallow unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut
off from my presence: I am the LORD.
Tell them that for the generations to come, if any of their descendants in a state of uncleanness approaches the sacred
offerings that the Israelites
consecrate to the LORD, that person must be cut
off from My presence. I am the LORD.
What man
soever of the seed of Aaron is a
leper, or hath a running issue; he shall not eat of the holy things, until he be clean. And
whoso toucheth any thing that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from him;
The soul which hath touched any such shall be unclean until even, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he wash his flesh with water.
the man who touches any of these will remain unclean until evening. He must not eat from the sacred offerings unless he has bathed himself with water.
And when the sun is down, he shall be clean, and shall afterward eat of the holy things; because it is his food.
When the sun has set, he will become clean, and then he may eat from the sacred offerings, for they are his food.
There shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a
sojourner of the priest, or an
hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing.
No one outside a priest’s family may eat the sacred
offering, nor may the
guest of a priest or his
hired hand eat it.
If the priest’s daughter also be married unto a stranger, she may not eat of an offering of the holy things.
If the priest’s daughter is married to a man other than a priest, she is not to eat of the sacred contributions.
And if a man eat of the holy thing
unwittingly, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give it unto the priest with the holy thing.
If
anyone eats a sacred
offering in error, he must add a fifth to its value and give the sacred
offering to the priest.
And they shall not
profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they
offer unto the LORD;
The priests must not
profane the sacred
offerings that the Israelites present to the LORD
Or suffer them to bear the iniquity of
trespass, when they eat their holy things: for I the LORD do
sanctify them.
by allowing the people to eat the sacred offerings and thus to bear the punishment for guilt. For I am the LORD who sanctifies them.”
Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them,
Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will
offer his
oblation for all his vows, and for all his
freewill offerings, which they will
offer unto the LORD for a burnt
offering;
“Speak to Aaron and his sons and all the Israelites and tell them, ‘Any man of the house of Israel or any foreign resident who presents a gift for a burnt
offering to the LORD, whether to
fulfill a
vow or as a
freewill offering,
Ye shall
offer at your own will a male without
blemish, of the
beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats.
must
offer an
unblemished male from the cattle, sheep, or goats in order for it to be accepted on your behalf.
But
whatsoever hath a
blemish, that shall ye not
offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you.
You must not present anything with a defect, because it will not be accepted on your behalf.
When a man presents a peace
offering to the LORD from the
herd or flock to
fulfill a
vow or as a
freewill offering, it must be without
blemish or defect to be acceptable.
Blind, or broken, or
maimed, or having a
wen, or
scurvy, or
scabbed, ye shall not
offer these unto the LORD, nor make an
offering by fire of them upon the altar unto the LORD.
You are not to present to the LORD any animal that is blind, injured, or
maimed, or anything with a running
sore, a
festering rash, or a
scab; you must not put any of these on the altar as an
offering made by fire to the LORD.
Either a
bullock or a lamb that hath any thing
superfluous or lacking in his parts, that mayest thou
offer for a
freewill offering; but for a
vow it shall not be accepted.
Ye shall not
offer unto the LORD that which is
bruised, or
crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye make any
offering thereof in your land.
You are not to present to the LORD an animal whose testicles are
bruised,
crushed,
torn, or cut; you are not to sacrifice them in your land.
Neither from a stranger’s hand shall ye
offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, and
blemishes be in them: they shall not be accepted for you.
Neither you nor a foreigner shall present food to your God from any such animal. They will not be accepted on your behalf, because they are
deformed and
flawed.’”
When a
bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the
dam; and from the eighth day and
thenceforth it shall be accepted for an
offering made by fire unto the LORD.
“When an ox, a sheep, or a goat is born, it must remain with its mother for seven days. From the eighth day on, it will be acceptable as an offering made by fire to the LORD.
And when ye will
offer a sacrifice of
thanksgiving unto the LORD,
offer it at your own will.
When you sacrifice a
thank offering to the LORD,
offer it so that it may be acceptable on your behalf.
But ye shall
offer an
offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy
convocation: ye shall do no
servile work therein.
For seven days you are to present an offering made by fire to the LORD. On the seventh day there shall be a sacred assembly; you must not do any regular work.’”
And ye shall
offer that day when ye wave the
sheaf an he lamb without
blemish of the first year for a burnt
offering unto the LORD.
On the day you wave the
sheaf, you shall
offer a year-old lamb without
blemish as a burnt
offering to the LORD,
And the meat
offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an
offering made by fire unto the LORD for a sweet savour: and the drink
offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an
hin.
along with its grain
offering of two-tenths of an
ephah of fine flour mixed with oil—an
offering made by fire to the LORD, a pleasing
aroma—and its drink
offering of a quarter
hin of wine.
And ye shall eat neither bread, nor
parched corn, nor green ears, until the
selfsame day that ye have brought an
offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
You must not eat any bread or
roasted or new grain until the very day you have brought this
offering to your God. This is to be a permanent statute for the generations to come, wherever you live.
And ye shall count unto you from the
morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the
sheaf of the wave
offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the
sheaf of the wave
offering, you are to count
off seven full weeks.
Even unto the
morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall
offer a new meat
offering unto the LORD.
You shall count off fifty days until the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an offering of new grain to the LORD.
Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave
loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be
baken with
leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.
Bring two
loaves of bread from your dwellings as a wave
offering, each made from two-tenths of an
ephah of fine flour,
baked with
leaven, as the firstfruits to the LORD.
And ye shall
offer with the bread seven lambs without
blemish of the first year, and one young
bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt
offering unto the LORD, with their meat
offering, and their drink
offerings, even an
offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD.
Along with the bread you are to present seven
unblemished male lambs a year old, one young bull, and two rams. They will be a burnt
offering to the LORD, together with their grain
offerings and drink
offerings—an
offering made by fire, a pleasing
aroma to the LORD.
Then ye shall sacrifice one
kid of the goats for a sin
offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace
offerings.
You shall also prepare one male goat as a sin offering and two male lambs a year old as a peace offering.
And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.
The priest is to wave the lambs as a wave offering before the LORD, together with the bread of the firstfruits. The bread and the two lambs shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.
Ye shall do no
servile work therein: but ye shall
offer an
offering made by fire unto the LORD.
You must not do any regular work, but you are to present an offering made by fire to the LORD.’”
Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of
atonement: it shall be an holy
convocation unto you; and ye shall
afflict your souls, and
offer an
offering made by fire unto the LORD.
“The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of
Atonement. You shall hold a sacred assembly and humble
yourselves, and present an
offering made by fire to the LORD.
For
whatsoever soul it be that shall not be
afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut
off from among his people.
If
anyone does not humble himself on this day, he must be cut
off from his people.
Seven days ye shall
offer an
offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy
convocation unto you; and ye shall
offer an
offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no
servile work therein.
For seven days you are to present an offering made by fire to the LORD. On the eighth day you are to hold a sacred assembly and present an offering made by fire to the LORD. It is a solemn assembly; you must not do any regular work.
These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall
proclaim to be holy convocations, to
offer an
offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt
offering, and a meat
offering, a sacrifice, and drink
offerings, every thing upon his day:
These are the LORD’s appointed feasts, which you are to
proclaim as sacred
assemblies for presenting
offerings by fire to the LORD—burnt
offerings and grain
offerings, sacrifices and drink
offerings, each on its designated day.
Beside the sabbaths of the LORD, and beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your
freewill offerings, which ye give unto the LORD.
These
offerings are in addition to the
offerings for the LORD’s Sabbaths, and in addition to your gifts, to all your
vow offerings, and to all the
freewill offerings you give to the LORD.
And thou shalt put pure
frankincense upon each row, that it may be on the bread for a
memorial, even an
offering made by fire unto the LORD.
And you are to place pure
frankincense near each row, so that it may serve as a
memorial portion for the bread, an
offering made by fire to the LORD.
And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’; and they shall eat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.
It belongs to Aaron and his sons, who are to eat it in a holy place; for it is to him a most holy part of the
offerings made by fire to the LORD—his portion
forever.”
And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.
And you shall count off seven Sabbaths of years—seven times seven years—so that the seven Sabbaths of years amount to forty-nine years.
And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall
bake your bread in one
oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.
When I cut
off your supply of bread, ten women will
bake your bread in a single
oven and
dole out your bread by weight, so that you will eat but not be satisfied.
And if it be a beast,
whereof men bring an
offering unto the LORD, all that any man giveth of such unto the LORD shall be holy.
If he vows an animal that may be brought as an offering to the LORD, any such animal given to the LORD shall be holy.
And if it be any unclean beast, of which they do not offer a sacrifice unto the LORD, then he shall present the beast before the priest:
But if the
vow involves any of the unclean animals that may not be brought as an
offering to the LORD, the animal must be presented before the priest.
Then the priest shall
reckon unto him the worth of thy
estimation, even unto the year of the jubile: and he shall give thine
estimation in that day, as a holy thing unto the LORD.
then the priest shall
calculate for him the value up to the Year of
Jubilee, and the man shall pay the
assessed value on that day as a sacred
offering to the LORD.
Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the
ensign of their father’s house: far
off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.
“The Israelites are to camp around the Tent of Meeting at a distance from it, each man under his standard, with the banners of his family.
These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests which were
anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest’s
office.
These were Aaron’s sons, the
anointed priests, who were ordained to serve as priests.
And
Nadab and
Abihu died before the LORD, when they
offered strange fire before the LORD, in the wilderness of
Sinai, and they had no children: and
Eleazar and
Ithamar ministered in the priest’s
office in the sight of Aaron their father.
Nadab and
Abihu, however, died in the presence of the LORD when they
offered unauthorized fire before the LORD in the Wilderness of
Sinai. And since they had no sons, only
Eleazar and
Ithamar served as priests during the lifetime of their father Aaron.
And thou shalt
appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall wait on their priest’s
office: and the stranger that cometh
nigh shall be put to death.
So you shall
appoint Aaron and his sons to carry out the duties of the priesthood; but any outsider who approaches the tabernacle must be put to death.”
And upon the table of
shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put
thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the
bowls, and covers to cover
withal: and the continual bread shall be
thereon:
Over the table of the Presence they are to spread a blue cloth and place the plates and cups on it, along with the
bowls and pitchers for the drink
offering. The regular bread
offering is to remain on it.
And to the
office of
Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest pertaineth the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the daily meat
offering, and the
anointing oil, and the oversight of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, in the sanctuary, and in the vessels thereof.
Eleazar son of Aaron the priest shall oversee the oil for the light, the
fragrant incense, the daily grain
offering, and the
anointing oil. He has oversight of the entire tabernacle and everything in it, including the holy objects and their utensils.”
Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites:
“Do not allow the Kohathite
tribal clans to be cut
off from among the Levites.
And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.
Every sacred contribution the Israelites bring to the priest shall belong to him.
Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her
offering for her, the tenth part of an
ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put
frankincense thereon; for it is an
offering of jealousy, an
offering of
memorial, bringing iniquity to
remembrance.
then he is to bring his wife to the priest. He must also bring for her an
offering of a tenth of an
ephah of barley flour. He is not to pour oil over it or put
frankincense on it, because it is a grain
offering for jealousy, an
offering of
memorial as a reminder of iniquity.
And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman’s head, and put the
offering of
memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy
offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the
curse:
After the priest has the woman stand before the LORD, he is to let down her hair and place in her hands the grain
offering of
memorial, which is the grain
offering for jealousy. The priest is to hold the bitter water that brings a
curse.
And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall
blot them out with the bitter water:
And the priest shall write these curses on a
scroll and wash them
off into the bitter water.
Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar:
The priest shall take from her hand the grain offering for jealousy, wave it before the LORD, and bring it to the altar.
And the priest shall take an handful of the
offering, even the
memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.
Then the priest is to take a handful of the grain
offering as a
memorial portion and burn it on the altar; after that he is to have the woman drink the water.
And the priest shall
offer the one for a sin
offering, and the other for a burnt
offering, and make an
atonement for him, for that he
sinned by the dead, and shall
hallow his head that same day.
And the priest is to
offer one as a sin
offering and the other as a burnt
offering to make
atonement for him, because he has
sinned by being in the presence of the dead body. On that day he must
consecrate his head again.
And he shall
consecrate unto the LORD the days of his separation, and shall bring a lamb of the first year for a
trespass offering: but the days that were before shall be lost, because his separation was
defiled.
He must rededicate his time of separation to the LORD and bring a year-old male lamb as a guilt
offering. But the preceding days shall not be counted, because his separation was
defiled.
And he shall
offer his
offering unto the LORD, one he lamb of the first year without
blemish for a burnt
offering, and one
ewe lamb of the first year without
blemish for a sin
offering, and one ram without
blemish for peace
offerings,
and he is to present an
offering to the LORD of an
unblemished year-old male lamb as a burnt
offering, an
unblemished year-old female lamb as a sin
offering, and an
unblemished ram as a peace
offering—
together with their grain
offerings and drink
offerings—and a
basket of
unleavened cakes made from fine flour mixed with oil and
unleavened wafers coated with oil.
And the priest shall bring them before the LORD, and shall offer his sin offering, and his burnt offering:
The priest is to present all these before the LORD and make the sin offering and the burnt offering.
And he shall
offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace
offerings unto the LORD, with the
basket of
unleavened bread: the priest shall
offer also his meat
offering, and his drink
offering.
He shall also
offer the ram as a peace
offering to the LORD, along with the
basket of
unleavened bread. And the priest is to
offer the accompanying grain
offering and drink
offering.
And the
Nazarite shall
shave the head of his separation at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall take the hair of the head of his separation, and put it in the fire which is under the sacrifice of the peace
offerings.
Then at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, the
Nazirite is to
shave his consecrated head, take the hair, and put it on the fire under the peace
offering.
And the priest shall wave them for a wave
offering before the LORD: this is holy for the priest, with the wave breast and
heave shoulder: and after that the
Nazarite may drink wine.
The priest shall then wave them as a wave
offering before the LORD. This is a holy portion for the priest, in addition to the breast of the wave
offering and the
thigh that was presented. After that, the
Nazirite may drink wine.
This is the law of the
Nazarite who hath
vowed, and of his
offering unto the LORD for his separation, beside that that his hand shall get: according to the
vow which he
vowed, so he must do after the law of his separation.
This is the law of the
Nazirite who vows his
offering to the LORD for his separation, in addition to whatever else he can afford; he must
fulfill whatever
vow he makes, according to the law of his separation.”
That the princes of Israel, heads of the house of their fathers, who were the princes of the tribes, and were over them that were numbered, offered:
And the leaders of Israel, the heads of their families, presented an
offering. These men were the
tribal leaders who had
supervised the
registration.
And they brought their
offering before the LORD, six covered wagons, and twelve oxen; a
wagon for two of the princes, and for each one an ox: and they brought them before the tabernacle.
They brought as their
offering before the LORD six covered carts and twelve oxen—an ox from each leader and a
cart from every two leaders—and presented them before the tabernacle.
And the princes
offered for
dedicating of the altar in the day that it was
anointed, even the princes
offered their
offering before the altar.
When the altar was
anointed, the leaders approached with their
offerings for its
dedication and presented them before the altar.
And the LORD said unto Moses, They shall
offer their
offering, each prince on his day, for the
dedicating of the altar.
And the LORD said to Moses, “Each day one leader is to present his
offering for the
dedication of the altar.”
