sadly to day?
So he asked the
officials of Pharaoh who were in
custody with him in his master’s house, “Why are your faces so
downcast today?”
And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh’s
birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief
butler and of the chief
baker among his servants.

And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be
abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to
slay us.
“May the LORD look upon you and judge you,” the
foremen said, “for you have made us a
stench before Pharaoh and his
officials; you have placed in their hand a sword to kill us!”
And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.

And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and
smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.
Moses and Aaron did just as the LORD had commanded; in the presence of Pharaoh and his officials, Aaron raised the staff and struck the water of the Nile, and all the water was turned to blood.
And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy
bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs:
The Nile will
teem with frogs, and they will come into your palace and up to your
bedroom and
onto your bed, into the houses of your
officials and your people, and into your ovens and
kneading bowls.
And the frogs shall come up both on thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy servants.
The frogs will come up on you and your people and all your officials.’”
And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?
Moses said to Pharaoh, “You may have the honor over me. When shall I pray for you and your officials and your people that the frogs (except for those in the Nile) may be taken away from you and your houses?”
And the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; they shall remain in the river only.

Else, if thou
wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of
flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of
flies, and also the ground
whereon they are.
But if you will not let My people go, I will send swarms of
flies upon you and your
officials and your people and your houses. The houses of the Egyptians and even the ground where they stand will be full of
flies.
And the LORD did so; and there came a
grievous swarm of
flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants’ houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the
swarm of
flies.
And the LORD did so. Thick swarms of
flies poured into Pharaoh’s palace and into the houses of his
officials. Throughout Egypt the land was ruined by swarms of
flies.
And Moses said, Behold, I go out from thee, and I will intreat the LORD that the swarms of
flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, to
morrow: but let not Pharaoh deal
deceitfully any more in not
letting the people go to sacrifice to the LORD.
“As soon as I leave you,” Moses said, “I will pray to the LORD, so that
tomorrow the swarms of
flies will depart from Pharaoh and his
officials and his people. But Pharaoh must not act
deceitfully again by refusing to let the people go and sacrifice to the LORD.”
And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the swarms of
flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.

hardened, and he would not let the people go.
For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.
Otherwise, I will send all My plagues against you and your officials and your people, so you may know that there is no one like Me in all the earth.

flee into the houses:
Those among Pharaoh’s
officials who feared the word of the LORD
hurried to bring their servants and
livestock to shelter,
But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.
But as for you and your officials, I know that you still do not fear the LORD our God.”

hail and the thunders were ceased, he
sinned yet more, and
hardened his heart, he and his servants.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have
hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might
shew these my signs before him:
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh, for I have
hardened his heart and the hearts of his
officials, that I may perform these
miraculous signs of Mine among them,
And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.
They will fill your houses and the houses of all your officials and every Egyptian—something neither your fathers nor your grandfathers have seen since the day they came into this land.’” Then Moses turned and left Pharaoh’s presence.
And Pharaoh’s servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a
snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed?
Pharaoh’s
officials asked him, “How long will this man be a
snare to us? Let the people go, so that they may worship the LORD their God. Do you not yet
realize that Egypt is in ruins?”
And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants, and in the sight of the people.
And the LORD gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, Moses himself was highly regarded in Egypt by Pharaoh’s officials and by the people.
And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.
And all these officials of yours will come and bow before me, saying, ‘Go, you and all the people who follow you!’ After that, I will depart.” And hot with anger, Moses left Pharaoh’s presence.
And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead.

wailing in Egypt; for there was no house without someone dead.

And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
Moses summoned all Israel and proclaimed to them, “You have seen with your own eyes everything the LORD did in Egypt to Pharaoh, to all his officials, and to all his land.
Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,
All of you are standing
today before the LORD your God—you leaders of tribes, elders,
officials, and all the men of Israel,
In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
no prophet who did all the signs and wonders that the LORD sent Moses to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh and to all his officials and all his land,

Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria to the
officials of
Jezreel, to the elders, and to the guardians of the sons of
Ahab, saying:
And he took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entering in of the house of the LORD, by the chamber of
Nathan-melech the
chamberlain, which was in the suburbs, and burned the
chariots of the sun with fire.
And he removed from the entrance to the house of the LORD the horses that the kings of Judah had dedicated to the sun. They were in the court near the chamber of an
official named
Nathan-melech. And
Josiah burned up the
chariots of the sun.
And
Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
Jehoiachin king of Judah, his mother, his servants, his commanders, and his
officials all surrendered to the king of Babylon. So in the eighth year of his reign, the king of Babylon took him
captive.
And he carried away
Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king’s mother, and the king’s wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
Nebuchadnezzar carried away
Jehoiachin to Babylon, as well as the king’s mother, his wives, his
officials, and the leading men of the land. He took them into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon.
And out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war, and five men of them that were in the king’s presence, which were found in the city, and the principal
scribe of the host, which
mustered the people of the land, and
threescore men of the people of the land that were found in the city:
Of those still in the city, he took a court

scribe of the captain of the army, who had
enlisted the people of the land, and sixty men who were found in the city.

Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of

official of God’s temple;

valiant men, unto Jerusalem.
Now David summoned all the leaders of Israel to Jerusalem: the leaders of the tribes, the leaders of the divisions in the king’s service, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and the
officials in charge of all the property and cattle of the king and his sons, along with the court
officials and mighty men—every mighty man of

workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at thy commandment.
The divisions of the priests and Levites are ready for all the service of the house of God, and every willing man of every skill will be at your
disposal for the work. The
officials and all the people are fully at your command.”
Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king’s work, offered willingly,

hail, and to
Obadiah, and to
Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah.
And the king of Israel called for one of his officers, and said,
Fetch quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.

obeisance to the king. Then the king
hearkened unto them.

listened to them.
Then
Hezekiah the king rose early, and gathered the rulers of the city, and went up to the house of the LORD.
Early the next morning King
Hezekiah gathered the city
officials and went up to the house of the LORD.
Moreover
Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto the LORD with the words of David, and of
Asaph the
seer. And they
sang praises with
gladness, and they bowed their heads and worshipped.
Then King
Hezekiah and his
officials ordered the Levites to sing praises to the LORD in the words of David and of
Asaph the
seer. So they
sang praises with
gladness and bowed their heads and worshiped.
For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, to keep the
passover in the second month.
For the king and his
officials and the whole assembly in Jerusalem had decided to keep the
Passover in the second month,
So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the
remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.
So the couriers went throughout Israel and Judah with letters from the king and his
officials, which read: “Children of Israel, return to the LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, so that He may return to those of you who remain, who have escaped the
grasp of the kings of Assyria.
Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD.
Moreover, the power of God was on the people in Judah to give them one heart to obey the command of the king and his officials according to the word of the LORD.
For
Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests
sanctified themselves.
For
Hezekiah king of Judah contributed a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep for the assembly, and the
officials contributed a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep for the assembly, and a great number of priests consecrated themselves.
And when
Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed the LORD, and his people Israel.
When
Hezekiah and his
officials came and viewed the heaps, they blessed the LORD and His people Israel.
And Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and
Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, were overseers under the hand of Cononiah and Shimei his brother, at the commandment of
Hezekiah the king, and
Azariah the ruler of the house of God.
Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath,
Asahel, Jerimoth, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiah were overseers under the authority of Conaniah and his brother Shimei, by appointment of King
Hezekiah and of
Azariah the chief
official of the house of God.
And his princes gave willingly unto the people, to the priests, and to the Levites: Hilkiah and
Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave unto the priests for the
passover offerings two thousand and six hundred small cattle, and three hundred oxen.
His
officials also contributed willingly to the people and priests and Levites. Hilkiah,
Zechariah, and Jehiel, the administrators of the house of God, gave the priests 2,600
Passover offerings and 300 bulls.
And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon.
who carried off everything to Babylon—all the articles of the house of God, both large and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king and his officials.
Then wrote Rehum the chancellor, and Shimshai the
scribe, and the rest of their companions; the Dinaites, the Apharsathchites, the Tarpelites, the Apharsites, the Archevites, the Babylonians, the Susanchites, the Dehavites, and the Elamites,
From Rehum the commander, Shimshai the
scribe, and the rest of their associates—the judges and
officials over Tripolis, Persia, Erech and Babylon, the Elamites of
Susa,
The copy of the letter that Tatnai, governor on this side the river, and Shethar-boznai, and his companions the
Apharsachites, which were on this side the river, sent unto
Darius the king:
This is the text of the letter that Tattenai the governor of the region west of the Euphrates, Shethar-bozenai, and their associates, the
officials in the region, sent to King
Darius.
Now therefore, Tatnai, governor beyond the river, Shethar-boznai, and your companions the
Apharsachites, which are beyond the river, be ye far from thence:
Therefore
Darius decreed: To Tattenai governor of the region west of the Euphrates, Shethar-bozenai, and your associates and
officials in the region: You must stay away from that place!
And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king’s mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.
and who has shown me favor before the king, his counselors, and all his powerful officials. And because the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, I took courage and gathered the leaders of Israel to return with me.
Also of the
Nethinims, whom David and the princes had appointed for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty
Nethinims: all of them were expressed by name.
They also brought 220 of the temple servants, all designated by name. David and the officials had appointed them to assist the Levites.
For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands:
yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this
trespass.
Indeed, the Israelites have taken some of their daughters as wives for themselves and their sons, so that the holy seed has been mixed with the people of the land. And the leaders and officials have taken the lead in this unfaithfulness!”
But when
Sanballat the Horonite and
Tobiah the
Ammonite official heard about this, they were deeply disturbed that someone had come to seek the well-being of the Israelites.
And the rulers knew not
whither I went, or what I did; neither had I as yet told it to the Jews, nor to the priests, nor to the nobles, nor to the rulers, nor to the rest that did the work.
The officials did not know where I had gone or what I was doing, for I had not yet told the Jews or priests or nobles or officials or any other workers.
But when
Sanballat the Horonite,
Tobiah the
Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard about this, they
mocked us and
ridiculed us, saying, “What is this you are doing? Are you rebelling against the king?”
And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.
After I had made an inspection, I stood up and said to the nobles, the
officials, and the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and
awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”
And I said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, The work is great and large, and we are separated upon the wall, one far from another.
Then I said to the nobles, the officials, and the rest of the people: “The work is great and extensive, and we are spread out far from one another along the wall.
Then I consulted with myself, and I
rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact
usury, every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them.
and after serious thought I
rebuked the nobles and
officials, saying, “You are exacting
usury from your own brothers!” So I called a large assembly against them
Then said they, We will restore them, and will require nothing of them; so will we do as thou sayest. Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they should do according to this promise.
“We will restore it,” they replied, “and will require nothing more from them. We will do as you say.” So I summoned the priests and required of the nobles and officials an oath that they would do what they had promised.
Moreover there were at my table an hundred and fifty of the Jews and rulers, beside those that came unto us from among the heathen that are about us.
There were 150 Jews and officials at my table, besides the guests from the surrounding nations.
And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by
genealogy. And I found a register of the
genealogy of them which came up at the first, and found written therein,
Then my God put it into my heart to
assemble the nobles, the
officials, and the people to be
enrolled by
genealogy. I found the
genealogical register of those who had first returned, and I found the following written in it:
And shewedst signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them. So
didst thou get thee a name, as it is this day.
You performed signs and wonders against Pharaoh, all his
officials, and all the people of his land, for You knew they had acted with
arrogance against our fathers. You made a name for
Yourself that endures to this day.
Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of
Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, was the ruler of the house of God.
Jedaiah son of Joiarib;
Jachin; Seraiah son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of
Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the chief
official of the house of God;
So stood the two companies of them that gave
thanks in the house of God, and I, and the half of the rulers with me:
The two
thanksgiving choirs then stood in the house of God, as did I, along with the half of the
officials accompanying me,
Then
contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God
forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place.
So I
rebuked the
officials and asked, “Why has the house of God been neglected?” Then I gathered the Levites and singers together and stationed them at their posts,
In the third year of his reign, he made a feast unto all his princes and his servants; the power of Persia and Media, the nobles and princes of the provinces, being before him:
In the third year of his reign,
Xerxes held a feast for all his
officials and servants. The military leaders of Persia and Media were there, along with the nobles and princes of the provinces.
And the drinking was according to the law; none did
compel: for so the king had appointed to all the officers of his house, that they should do according to every man’s pleasure.
By order of the king, no limit was placed on the drinking, and every official of his household was to serve each man whatever he desired.
To bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal, to
shew the people and the princes her beauty: for she was fair to look on.
to bring Queen Vashti before him, wearing her royal crown, to display her beauty to the people and officials. For she was beautiful to behold.
Likewise shall the ladies of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king’s princes, which have heard of the deed of the queen. Thus shall there arise too much contempt and wrath.
This very day the noble women of Persia and Media who have heard about the queen’s conduct will say the same thing to all the king’s officials, resulting in much contempt and wrath.
Now when the turn of
Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of
Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s
chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And
Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.
Now
Esther was the daughter of Abihail, the uncle from whom
Mordecai had adopted her as his own daughter. And when it was her turn to go to the king, she did not ask for anything except what Hegai, the king’s trusted
official in charge of the
harem, had
advised. And
Esther found favor in the eyes of
everyone who saw her.
Then the king made a great feast unto all his princes and his servants, even
Esther’s feast; and he made a release to the provinces, and gave gifts, according to the state of the king.
Then the king held a great
banquet,
Esther’s
banquet, for all his
officials and servants. He proclaimed a tax
holiday in the provinces and gave gifts worthy of the king’s
bounty.
And when
inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out; therefore they were both
hanged on a tree: and it was written in the book of the chronicles before the king.
After the report had been investigated and
verified, both
officials were
hanged on the
gallows. And all this was recorded in the Book of the Chronicles in the presence of the king.
Then were the king’s
scribes called on the
thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that
Haman had commanded unto the king’s lieutenants, and to the governors that were over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language; in the name of king
Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king’s ring.
On the
thirteenth day of the first month, the royal
scribes were summoned and the order was written exactly as
Haman commanded the royal satraps, the governors of each province, and the
officials of each people, in the
script of each province and the language of every people. It was written in the name of King
Xerxes and sealed with the royal
signet ring.
All the king’s servants, and the people of the king’s provinces, do know, that
whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden
sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.
“All the royal
officials and the people of the king’s provinces know that one law applies to every man or woman who approaches the king in the inner court without being summoned—that he be put to death. Only if the king extends the gold
scepter may that person live. But I have not been summoned to appear before the king for the past thirty days.”
And
Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.
Haman recounted to them his glorious wealth, his many sons, and all the ways the king had honored and promoted him over the other
officials and servants.
And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the
deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of
Mordecai fell upon them.
And all the
officials of the provinces, the satraps, the governors, and the king’s administrators helped the Jews, because the fear of
Mordecai had fallen upon them.
If a ruler
hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.
If a ruler listens to lies, all his officials will be wicked.
If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent
perverting of judgment and justice in a province,
marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.
If you see the oppression of the poor and the
denial of justice and righteousness in the province, do not be
astonished at the matter; for one
official is watched by a superior, and others higher still are over them.
For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron
pillar, and
brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.
Now behold, this day I have made you like a fortified city, an iron
pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, its
officials, its priests, and the people of the land.
As the
thief is
ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel
ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets,
As the
thief is
ashamed when he is caught, so the house of Israel is disgraced. They, their kings, their
officials, their priests, and their prophets
And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be
astonished, and the prophets shall wonder.
“In that day,” declares the LORD, “the king and
officials will lose their courage. The priests will
tremble in fear, and the prophets will be
astounded.”
At that time, saith the LORD, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:
“At that time,” declares the LORD, “the bones of the kings of Judah, the bones of the officials, the bones of the priests, the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the people of Jerusalem will be removed from their graves.
Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in
chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.
then kings and princes will enter through the gates of this city. They will sit on the throne of David, riding in
chariots and on horses with their
officials, along with the men of Judah and the residents of Jerusalem, and this city will be inhabited
forever.
Now Pashur the son of Immer the priest, who was also chief governor in the house of the LORD, heard that Jeremiah
prophesied these things.
When Pashhur the priest, the son of Immer and the chief
official in the house of the LORD, heard Jeremiah
prophesying these things,
And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates:
saying, ‘Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, who sits on the throne of David—you and your officials and your people who enter these gates.
For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in
chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.
For if you will indeed carry out these commands, then kings who sit on David’s throne will enter through the gates of this palace riding on
chariots and horses—they and their
officials and their people.
The LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away
captive Jeconiah the son of
Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.
After
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away Jeconiah son of
Jehoiakim king of Judah, as well as the
officials of Judah and the
craftsmen and metalsmiths from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon, the LORD showed me two baskets of figs placed in front of the temple of the LORD.
