once in ten days store of all sorts of wine: yet for all this required not I the bread of the governor, because the
bondage was heavy upon this people.
Each day one ox, six choice sheep, and some fowl were prepared for me, and
once every ten days an abundance of all kinds of wine was provided. But I did not demand the food
allotted to the governor, because the burden on the people was so heavy.

For God speaketh
once,
yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
For God speaks in one way and in another, yet no one notices.
Once have I spoken; but I will not answer:
yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.
I have spoken once, but I have no answer— twice, but I have nothing to add.”
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous
forsaken, nor his seed
begging bread.
I
once was young and now am old, yet never have I seen the righteous abandoned or their children
begging for bread.
God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.
God has spoken once; I have heard this twice: that power belongs to God,
Thou, which hast shewed me great and
sore troubles, shalt
quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
Though You have shown me many troubles and misfortunes, You will revive me once again. Even from the depths of the earth You will bring me back up.
Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.
You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.
But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers.
and
smashing all the carvings with hatchets and picks.
Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when
once thou art
angry?
You alone are to be feared. When You are
angry, who can stand before You?
Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have
exalted one chosen out of the people.
You
once spoke in a vision; to Your godly ones You said, “I have bestowed help on a
warrior; I have
exalted one chosen from the people.
Once and for all I have
sworn by My
holiness— I will not lie to David—
A
fool’s wrath is presently known: but a
prudent man covereth shame.
Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is
perverse in his ways shall fall at
once.
How is the faithful city become an
harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness
lodged in it; but now murderers.
See how the faithful city has become a
harlot! She
once was full of justice; righteousness resided within her, but now only murderers!
And on all hills that shall be
digged with the
mattock, there shall not come thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the
treading of lesser cattle.
For fear of the briers and thorns, you will no longer
traverse the hills
once tilled by the
hoe; they will become places for oxen to
graze and sheep to
trample.
For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall
cleave to the house of Jacob.
For the LORD will have
compassion on Jacob;
once again He will choose Israel and settle them in their own land. The foreigner will join them and unite with the house of Jacob.
The
parched ground will become a
pool, the
thirsty land springs of water. In the
haunt where jackals
once lay, there will be grass and reeds and
papyrus.
“I have kept silent from ages past; I have remained quiet and restrained. But now I will
groan like a woman in labor; I will at
once gasp and
pant.
Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at
once? for as soon as
Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
Who has heard of such as this? Who has seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be delivered in an instant? Yet as soon as
Zion was in labor, she gave birth to her children.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall throughly
glean the
remnant of Israel as a vine: turn back thine hand as a grapegatherer into the baskets.
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “
Glean the
remnant of Israel as thoroughly as a vine. Pass your hand
once more like a
grape gatherer over the branches.”
For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will
sling out the inhabitants of the land at this
once, and will distress them, that they may find it so.

sling out the inhabitants of the land and bring distress upon them so that they may be captured.”
The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great
tumult he hath
kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.
The LORD
once called you a flourishing olive tree, beautiful with well-formed fruit. But with a mighty
roar He will set it on fire, and its branches will be consumed.
And it shall come to pass, after that I have
plucked them out I will return, and have
compassion on them, and will bring them again, every man to his
heritage, and every man to his land.
But after I have uprooted them, I will
once again have
compassion on them and return each one to his inheritance and to his land.
And it shall come to pass, if they will
diligently learn the ways of my people, to
swear by my name, The LORD liveth; as they taught my people to
swear by
Baal; then shall they be built in the midst of my people.
And if they will
diligently learn the ways of My people and
swear by My name, saying, ‘As surely as the LORD lives’—just as they
once taught My people to
swear by
Baal—then they will be established among My people.
Take the
girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.
“Take the loincloth that you bought and are wearing, and go at
once to Perath and hide it there in a
crevice of the rocks.”
I have seen thine
adulteries, and thy neighings, the
lewdness of thy
whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields.
Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem!
wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it
once be?
Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD.
“Therefore behold, I will inform them, and this time I will make them know My power and My might; then they will know that My name is the LORD.
Arise, and go down to the
potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.

once to the
potter’s house, and there I will

But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries
whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.
Instead they will say, ‘As surely as the LORD lives, who brought and led the descendants of the house of Israel up out of the land of the north and all the other lands to which He had banished them.’ Then they will dwell once more in their own land.”
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD
bless thee, O
habitation of justice, and mountain of
holiness.
This is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “When I restore them from captivity, they will
once again speak this word in the land of Judah and in its cities: ‘May the LORD
bless you, O righteous dwelling place, O holy mountain.’
And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath.
The measuring line will once again stretch out straight to the hill of Gareb and then turn toward Goah.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is
desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an
habitation of
shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: In this
desolate place, without man or beast, and in all its cities, there will
once more be pastures for
shepherds to rest their flocks.
How
doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people how is she become as a widow she that was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary
How
lonely lies the city,
once so full of people! She who was great among the nations has become a widow. The princess of the provinces has become a slave.
The precious sons of
Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as
earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the
potter!
How the precious sons of
Zion,
once worth their weight in pure gold, are now esteemed as jars of clay, the work of a
potter’s hands!
They that did feed delicately are
