sorrowful, but your
sorrow shall be turned into joy.

weep and
wail while the world rejoices. You will
grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.

sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the
anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

heaviness and continual
sorrow in my heart.

sorrow and unceasing

sorrow from them of whom I ought to

sorry with a letter, I do not
repent, though I did
repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you

sorrowful, but because your
sorrow led you to
repentance. For you felt the
sorrow that God had intended, and so were not
harmed in any way by us.
For godly
sorrow worketh
repentance to salvation not to be

selfsame thing, that ye
sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you,

indignation,

yea, what zeal,
yea, what
revenge! In all things ye have approved
yourselves to be clear in this matter.
Consider what this godly
sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear
yourselves, what
indignation, what
alarm, what longing, what zeal, what
vindication! In every way you have proved
yourselves to be innocent in this matter.

sorrow.

glorified herself, and lived
deliciously, so much
torment and
sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no
sorrow.

glorified herself and lived in
luxury, give her the same measure of
torment and grief. In her heart she says, ‘I sit as queen; I am not a widow and will never see grief.’

wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither

tear from their eyes,’ and there will be no more death or
mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.”

sorrow: command therefore that I may now be delivered out of this distress, and go into the

sorrowful, so that she thought to have
