Will God hear his cry when distress comes upon him?

Almighty?

conceal.

will shew mine opinion.

Listen to me; I too
will declare what I know.’

I too
will answer;
yes, I
will declare what I know.

respond.

flatter any man.

will open my mouth; my address is on the

pervert justice.

majestic voice. He does not restrain the
lightning when His voice resounds.
Touching the
Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in
plenty of justice: he
will not
afflict.

Almighty is beyond our reach; He is
exalted in power! In His justice and great righteousness He does not
oppress.

will question you, and you shall inform Me.

manger at night?

wilt thou leave thy labour to him?

rely on his great strength?

will bring home thy seed, and gather it into thy
barn?
Can you trust him to bring in your grain and gather it to your
threshing floor?
Shall he that contendeth with the
Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.

contend with the
Almighty? Let him who argues with God give an answer.”

vile; what shall I answer thee? I
will lay mine hand upon my mouth.

Once have I spoken; but I
will not answer:
yea, twice; but I
will proceed no further.
I have spoken once, but I have no answer— twice, but I have nothing to add.”
Gird up thy loins now like a man: I
will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
“Now
brace yourself like a man; I
will question you, and you shall inform Me.

will I also
confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.

Will he
beg you for mercy or speak to you softly?

wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?
Will he make a covenant with you to take him as a slave for life?
Shall the companions make a
banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?
Will traders
barter for him or divide him among the merchants?
Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
If you lay a hand on him, you
will remember the battle and never
repeat it!
I
will not
conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.
I cannot keep silent about his limbs, his power and graceful form.
Hear, I
beseech thee, and I
will speak: I
will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
You said, ‘
Listen now, and I
will speak. I
will question you, and you shall inform Me.’
Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for
yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him
will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.
So now, take seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and sacrifice a burnt offering for
yourselves. Then My servant Job
will pray for you, for I
will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken accurately about Me, as My servant Job has.”
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
For the LORD guards the path of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
I
will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I
begotten thee.

will proclaim the decree spoken to Me by the LORD: “You are My Son;
today I have become Your Father.
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the
uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Ask Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance, the ends of the earth Your possession.

dash them in pieces like a
potter’s vessel.
You
will break them with an iron
scepter; You
will shatter them like pottery.”
Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God.
Selah.
Many say of me, “God
will not deliver him.”
Selah I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
I will not fear the myriads set against me on every side.
O ye sons of men, how long
will ye turn my glory into shame? how long
will ye love vanity, and seek after
leasing?
Selah.
How long, O men,
will my honor be
maligned? How long
will you love vanity and seek after lies?
Selah But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for Himself; the LORD hears when I call to Him.
There be many that say, Who
will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee
will I pray.
Attend to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to You I pray.
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
In the morning, O LORD, You hear my voice; at
daybreak I lay my
plea before You and wait in expectation.
You destroy those who tell lies; the LORD abhors the man of
bloodshed and
deceit.
But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

The LORD hath heard my
supplication; the LORD
will receive my prayer.
The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.
All my enemies
will be
ashamed and dismayed; they
will turn back in sudden disgrace.
Lest he
tear my soul like a lion,
rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
or they
will shred my soul like a lion and
tear me to pieces with no one to
rescue me.
If he turn not, he
will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.
I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
I
will thank the LORD for His righteousness and sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.
I
will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I
will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
I
will give
thanks to the LORD with all my heart; I
will recount all Your wonders.
I
will be
glad and
rejoice in thee: I
will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
I
will be
glad and
rejoice in You; I
will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
The LORD also
will be a refuge for the
oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.

will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not
forsaken them that seek thee.
Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, O LORD, have not
forsaken those who seek You.
That I may
shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of
Zion: I
will rejoice in thy salvation.
that I may declare all Your praises— that within the gates of Daughter
Zion I may
rejoice in Your salvation.
The wicked shall be turned into
hell, and all the nations that
forget God.
The wicked
will return to
Sheol— all the nations who
forget God.
For the
needy shall not
alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
In his pride the wicked man does not seek Him; in all his schemes there is no God.
He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in
adversity.
He says to himself, “I will not be moved; from age to age I am free of distress.”
He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.
He says to himself, “God has forgotten; He hides His face and never sees.”
Wherefore
doth the wicked
contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou
wilt not require it.
Why has the wicked man
renounced God? He says to himself, “You
will never call me to account.”
LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou
wilt prepare their heart, thou
wilt cause thine ear to hear:
You have heard, O LORD, the desire of the humble; You
will strengthen their hearts. You
will incline Your ear,
Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and
brimstone, and an
horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
On the wicked He
will rain down
fiery coals and sulfur; a
scorching wind
will be their portion.
For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance
doth behold the upright.
For the LORD is righteous; He loves justice. The upright will see His face.
