And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.
Indeed, you are to them like a singer of love songs with a beautiful voice, who
skillfully plays an instrument. They hear your
words but do not put them into practice.
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Therefore, ye
shepherds, hear the
word of the LORD;
Therefore, you
shepherds, hear the
word of the LORD:
Therefore, O ye
shepherds, hear the
word of the LORD;
therefore, you
shepherds, hear the
word of the LORD!’
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Moreover, the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid
desolate, they are given us to
consume.
Then you will know that I, the LORD, have heard every
contemptuous word you uttered against the mountains of Israel when you said, ‘They are
desolate; they are given to us to
devour!’
Thus with your mouth ye have
boasted against me, and have multiplied your
words against me: I have heard them.
You
boasted against Me with your mouth and multiplied your
words against Me. I heard it Myself!
Also, thou son of man,
prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the
word of the LORD:
“And you, son of man,
prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say: O mountains of Israel, hear the
word of the LORD.
Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the
word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the
desolate wastes, and to the cities that are
forsaken, which became a prey and
derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about;
therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the
word of the Lord GOD. This is what the Lord GOD says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys, to the
desolate ruins and abandoned cities, which have become a
spoil and a
mockery to the rest of the nations around you.
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Again he said unto me,
Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the
word of the LORD.
And He said to me, “
Prophesy concerning these bones and tell them, ‘Dry bones, hear the
word of the LORD!
The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a
dunghill.
The king replied to the astrologers, “My
word is final: If you do not tell me the dream and its interpretation, you will be cut into pieces and your houses will be reduced to
rubble.
The king answered and said, I know of certainty that ye would gain the time, because ye see the thing is gone from me.
The king replied, “I know for sure that you are
stalling for time, because you see that my
word is final.
But if ye will not make known unto me the dream, there is but one decree for you: for ye have prepared lying and corrupt
words to speak before me, till the time be changed: therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that ye can
shew me the interpretation thereof.
If you do not tell me the dream, there is only one decree for you. You have
conspired to speak before me false and
fraudulent words, hoping the situation will change. Therefore tell me the dream, and I will know that you can give me its interpretation.”
Then
Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the
dedication of the image which
Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.
Then King
Nebuchadnezzar sent
word to
assemble the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the other officials of the provinces to attend the
dedication of the statue he had set up.
Then
Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of
Shadrach, Meshach, and
Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s
word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.
Nebuchadnezzar declared, “Blessed be the God of
Shadrach, Meshach, and
Abednego, who has sent His angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him. They
violated the king’s command and risked their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.
This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the
word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to
whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.
This decision is the decree of the watchers, the
verdict declared by the holy ones, so that the living will know that the Most High rules over the kingdom of mankind and gives it to whom He wishes, setting over it the lowliest of men.’
While the
word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king
Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.
While the
words were still in the king’s mouth, a voice came from heaven: “It is decreed to you, King
Nebuchadnezzar, that the kingdom has departed from you.
Now the queen, by reason of the
words of the king and his lords, came into the
banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed:
Hearing the outcry of the king and his nobles, the queen entered the
banquet hall. “O king, may you live
forever!” she said. “Do not let your thoughts
terrify you, or your face grow pale.
Then the king, when he heard these
words, was
sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
As soon as the king heard this, he was deeply distressed and set his mind on delivering Daniel, and he labored until
sundown to
rescue him.
I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns
plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
While I was
contemplating the horns, suddenly another horn, a little one, came up among them, and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like those of a man and a mouth that spoke
words of
arrogance.
I
beheld then because of the voice of the great
words which the horn spake: I
beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
Then I kept watching because of the
arrogant words the horn was speaking. As I continued to watch, the beast was slain, and its body was destroyed and thrown into the
blazing fire.
And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more
stout than his fellows.
I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell—the horn whose appearance was more imposing than the others, with eyes and with a mouth that spoke
words of
arrogance.
And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
He will speak out against the Most High and
oppress the saints of the Most High, intending to change the appointed times and laws; and the saints will be given into his hand for a time, and times, and half a time.
In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years,
whereof the
word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would
accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the sacred books, according to the
word of the LORD to Jeremiah the prophet, that the
desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years.
And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
You have carried out the
words spoken against us and against our rulers by bringing upon us a great
disaster. For under all of heaven, nothing has ever been done like what has been done to Jerusalem.
His body also was like the
beryl, and his face as the appearance of
lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his
words like the voice of a multitude.
His body was like
beryl, his face like the brilliance of
lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the
gleam of polished bronze, and his voice like the sound of a multitude.
Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.
I heard the sound of his
words, and as I
listened, I fell into a deep sleep, with my face to the ground.
And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the
words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this
word unto me, I stood
trembling.
He said to me, “Daniel, you are a man who is highly precious. Consider carefully the
words that I am about to say to you. Stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he had said this to me, I stood up
trembling.
Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou
didst set thine heart to understand, and to
chasten thyself before thy God, thy
words were heard, and I am come for thy
words.
“Do not be afraid, Daniel,” he said, “for from the first day that you purposed to understand and to humble
yourself before your God, your
words were heard, and I have come in
response to them.
And when he had spoken such
words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became
dumb.
While he was speaking these words to me, I set my face toward the ground and became speechless.
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the
words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and
fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
But you, Daniel, shut up these
words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will
roam to and
fro, and knowledge will increase.”
And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
“Go on your way, Daniel,” he replied, “for the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end.
The
word of the LORD that came unto
Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham,
Ahaz, and
Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of
Jeroboam the son of
Joash, king of Israel.
This is the
word of the LORD that came to
Hosea son of Beeri in the days of Uzziah, Jotham,
Ahaz, and
Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and of
Jeroboam son of Jehoash, king of Israel.
The beginning of the
word of the LORD by
Hosea. And the LORD said to
Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great
whoredom, departing from the LORD.
Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
Hear the word of the LORD, O children of Israel, for the LORD has a case against the people of the land: “There is no truth, no loving devotion, and no knowledge of God in the land!
Therefore have I
hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the
words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.
Therefore I have
hewn them by the prophets; I have slain them by the
words of My mouth, and My judgments go forth like
lightning.
They have spoken
words,
swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as
hemlock in the furrows of the field.
They speak mere words; with false oaths they make covenants. So judgment springs up like poisonous weeds in the furrows of a field.
Take with you
words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us
graciously: so will we render the
calves of our lips.
Bring your confessions and return to the LORD. Say to Him: “Take away all our iniquity and receive us
graciously, that we may present the fruit of our lips.
The
word of the LORD that came to
Joel the son of Pethuel.
This is the
word of the LORD that came to
Joel son of Pethuel:
And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his
word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can
abide it?
The LORD raises His voice in the presence of His army. Indeed, His camp is very large, for mighty are those who obey His command. For the Day of the LORD is great and very
dreadful. Who can
endure it?
The
words of
Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of
Jeroboam the son of
Joash king of Israel, two years before the
earthquake.
These are the
words of
Amos, who was among the sheepherders of Tekoa—what he saw concerning Israel two years before the
earthquake, in the days when Uzziah was king of Judah and
Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel.
Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,
Hear this word that the LORD has spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family that I brought up out of the land of Egypt:
Hear this
word, ye
kine of
Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which
oppress the poor, which
crush the
needy, which say to their masters, Bring, and let us drink.
Hear this
word, you cows of
Bashan on Mount Samaria, you women who
oppress the poor and
crush the
needy, who say to your husbands, “Bring us more to drink.”
Hear ye this
word which I take up against you, even a
lamentation, O house of Israel.
Hear this
word, O house of Israel, this
lamentation I take up against you:
Then
Amaziah the priest of
Bethel sent to
Jeroboam king of Israel, saying,
Amos hath
conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his
words.
Then
Amaziah the priest of
Bethel sent
word to
Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “
Amos has
conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land cannot bear all his
words,
Now therefore hear thou the
word of the LORD: Thou sayest,
Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy
word against the house of Isaac.
Now, therefore, hear the
word of the LORD. You say: ‘Do not
prophesy against Israel; do not
preach against the house of Isaac.’
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a
thirst for water, but of hearing the
words of the LORD:
Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord GOD, when I will send a famine on the land— not a famine of bread or a
thirst for water, but a famine of hearing the
words of the LORD.
And they shall
wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and
fro to seek the
word of the LORD, and shall not find it.
People will
stagger from sea to sea and
roam from north to east, seeking the
word of the LORD, but they will not find it.
Now the
word of the LORD came unto
Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,
Now the
word of the LORD came to
Jonah son of Amittai, saying,
And the
word of the LORD came unto
Jonah the second time, saying,
Then the
word of the LORD came to
Jonah a second time:
So
Jonah arose, and went unto
Nineveh, according to the
word of the LORD. Now
Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey.
This time
Jonah got up and went to
Nineveh, in accordance with the
word of the LORD. Now
Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, requiring a three-day journey.
For
word came unto the king of
Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his
robe from him, and covered him with
sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
When
word reached the king of
Nineveh, he got up from his throne, took off his royal
robe, covered himself with
sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
The
word of the LORD that came to
Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham,
Ahaz, and
Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.
This is the
word of the LORD that came to
Micah the Moreshite in the days of Jotham,
Ahaz, and
Hezekiah, kings of Judah—what he saw regarding Samaria and Jerusalem:
O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD
straitened? are these his doings? do not my
words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
Should it be said, O house of Jacob, “Is the Spirit of the LORD impatient? Are these the things He does?” Do not My words bring good to him who walks uprightly?
And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of
Zion, and the
word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
And many nations will come and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go forth from
Zion and the
word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy
word.
Selah. Thou
didst cleave the earth with rivers.
You
brandished Your bow; You called for many arrows.
Selah You split the earth with rivers.
The
word of the LORD which came unto
Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hizkiah, in the days of

word of the LORD is against you; O
Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.
Woe to the dwellers of the
seacoast, O nation of the Cherethites! The
word of the LORD is against you, O
Canaan, land of the Philistines: “I will destroy you, and no one will be left.”

Haggai the prophet unto
Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,
In the second year of the reign of
Darius, on the first day of the sixth month, the
word of the LORD came through
Haggai the prophet to
Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, stating
Then came the
word of the LORD by
Haggai the prophet, saying,
Then the
word of the LORD came through
Haggai the prophet, saying:
Then
Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the
remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the
words of
Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.
Then
Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, as well as all the
remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God and the
words of the prophet
Haggai, because the LORD their God had sent him. So the people feared the LORD.
In the seventh month, in the one and
twentieth day of the month, came the
word of the LORD by the prophet
Haggai, saying,
On the twenty-first day of the seventh month, the
word of the LORD came through
Haggai the prophet, saying:
According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.
This is the promise I made to you when you came out of Egypt. And My Spirit remains among you; do not be afraid.”
In the four and
twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of
Darius, came the
word of the LORD by
Haggai the prophet, saying,
On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of
Darius, the
word of the LORD came to
Haggai the prophet, saying,
And again the
word of the LORD came unto
Haggai in the four and
twentieth day of the month, saying,
For the second time that day, the twenty-fourth day of the month, the
word of the LORD came to
Haggai, saying,
In the eighth month, in the second year of
Darius, came the
word of the LORD unto
Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of
Iddo the prophet, saying,
In the eighth month of the second year of
Darius, the
word of the LORD came to the prophet
Zechariah son of Berechiah, the son of
Iddo, saying:
But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.
But did not My
words and My statutes, which I commanded My servants the prophets, overtake your fathers? They
repented and said, ‘Just as the LORD of Hosts purposed to do to us according to our ways and deeds, so He has done to us.’”
Upon the four and
twentieth day of the
eleventh month, which is the month
Sebat, in the second year of
Darius, came the
word of the LORD unto
Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of
Iddo the prophet, saying,
On the twenty-fourth day of the
eleventh month, the month of Shebat, in the second year of
Darius, the
word of the LORD came to the prophet
Zechariah son of Berechiah, the son of
Iddo.
And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.
So the LORD spoke kind and comforting words to the angel who was speaking with me.
So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am
jealous for Jerusalem and for
Zion with a great jealousy.
Then the angel who was speaking with me said, “
Proclaim this
word: This is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘I am very
jealous for Jerusalem and
Zion,
Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the
word of the LORD unto
Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
So he said to me, “This is the
word of the LORD to
Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the LORD of Hosts.
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
The word of the LORD also came to me, saying,
And it came to pass in the fourth year of king
Darius, that the
word of the LORD came unto
Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in
Chisleu;
In the fourth year of King
Darius, the
word of the LORD came to
Zechariah on the fourth day of the ninth month, the month of Chislev.
Then came the word of the LORD of hosts unto me, saying,
Then the word of the LORD of Hosts came to me, saying,
Should ye not hear the
words which the LORD hath
cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?
Are these not the
words that the LORD proclaimed through the earlier prophets, when Jerusalem and its surrounding towns were
populous and prosperous, and the Negev and the foothills were inhabited?’”
And the
word of the LORD came unto
Zechariah, saying,
Then the
word of the LORD came to
Zechariah, saying,
Yea, they made their hearts as an
adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the
words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.
They made their hearts like flint and would not
listen to the law or to the
words that the LORD of Hosts had sent by His Spirit through the earlier prophets. Therefore great anger came from the LORD of Hosts.
Again the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,
Again the word of the LORD of Hosts came to me, saying:
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Let your hands be strong, ye that hear in these days these words by the mouth of the prophets, which were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of hosts was laid, that the temple might be built.
This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Let your hands be strong, you who now hear these words spoken by the prophets who were present when the foundations were laid to rebuild the temple, the house of the LORD of Hosts.
And the word of the LORD of hosts came unto me, saying,
Then the word of the LORD of Hosts came to me, saying,
The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest thereof: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD.
This is the burden of the word of the LORD against the land of Hadrach and Damascus its resting place— for the eyes of men and of all the tribes of Israel are upon the LORD—
And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD.
It was
revoked on that day, and so the
afflicted of the flock who were watching me knew that it was the
word of the LORD.
The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
This is the burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. Thus declares the LORD, who stretches out the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth, who forms the spirit of man within him:
The burden of the
word of the LORD to Israel by
Malachi.
This is the burden of the
word of the LORD to Israel through
Malachi:
Ye have
wearied the LORD with your
words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we
wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?
You have
wearied the LORD with your
words; yet you ask, “How have we
wearied Him?” By saying, “All who do evil are good in the sight of the LORD, and in them He delights,” or, “Where is the God of justice?”
Your
words have been
stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?
“Your words against Me have been harsh,” says the LORD. “Yet you ask, ‘What have we spoken against You?’
And he sent them to
Bethlehem, and said, Go and search
diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me
word again, that I may come and worship him also.
And sending them to
Bethlehem, he said: “Go and search carefully for the Child, and when you find Him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship Him.”
And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and
flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee
word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.
When the
Magi had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up!” he said. “Take the Child and His mother and
flee to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the Child to kill Him.”
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
And when you pray, do not
babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many
words they will be heard.
Therefore
whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will
liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Therefore
everyone who hears these
words of Mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be
likened unto a
foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
But
everyone who hears these
words of Mine and does not act on them is like a
foolish man who built his house on sand.
The
centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the
word only, and my servant shall be
healed.
The
centurion answered, “Lord, I am not worthy to have You come under my roof. But just say the
word, and my servant will be
healed.
When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his
word, and
healed all that were sick:
When evening came, many who were
demon-possessed were brought to Jesus, and He drove out the spirits with a
word and
healed all the sick.
And
whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your
words, when ye depart out of that house or city,
shake off the dust of your feet.
And if
anyone will not
welcome you or
heed your
words,
shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.
And
whosoever speaketh a
word against the Son of man, it shall be
forgiven him: but
whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be
forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
Whoever speaks a
word against the Son of Man will be
forgiven, but
whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be
forgiven, either in this age or in the one to come.
