In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.
In the LORD
all descendants of Israel will be justified and will
exult.
Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and
all the
remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the
belly, which are carried from the
womb:
“
Listen to Me, O house of Jacob,
all the
remnant of the house of Israel, who have been sustained from the
womb, carried along since birth.
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:
I declare the end from the beginning, and ancient times from what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and
all My good pleasure I will
accomplish.’
Thou hast heard, see
all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou
didst not know them.
You have heard these things; look at them all. Will you not acknowledge them? From now on I will tell you of new things, hidden things unknown to you.
All ye,
assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these things? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.
Come together,
all of you, and
listen: Which of the idols has
foretold these things? The LORD’s chosen
ally will carry out His desire against Babylon, and His arm will be against the Chaldeans.
That thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness,
Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in
all high places.
to say to the prisoners, ‘Come out,’ and to those in darkness, ‘Show
yourselves.’ They will feed along the pathways, and find pasture on every barren hill.
I will turn
all My mountains into roads, and My
highways will be raised up.
Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold:
all these gather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely
clothe thee with them
all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a
bride doeth.
Lift up your eyes and look around. They
all gather together; they come to you. As surely as I live,” declares the LORD, “you will wear them
all as
jewelry and put them on like a
bride.
Then shalt thou say in thine heart, Who hath
begotten me these, seeing I have lost my children, and am
desolate, a
captive, and removing to and
fro? and who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where had they been?
Then you will say in your heart, ‘Who has
begotten these for me? I was
bereaved and barren; I was exiled and rejected. So who has reared them? Look, I was left
all alone, so where did they come from?’”
And I will feed them that
oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be
drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and
all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy
Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh; they will be
drunk on their own blood, as with wine. Then
all mankind will know that I, the LORD, am your
Savior and your
Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”
Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand
shortened at
all, that it cannot
redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my
rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for
thirst.
Why was no one there when I arrived? Why did no one answer when I called? Is My hand too short to
redeem you? Or do I lack the strength to deliver you? Behold, My
rebuke dries up the sea; I turn the rivers into a desert; the fish
rot for lack of water and die of
thirst.
Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall
condemn me? lo, they
all shall wax old as a garment; the
moth shall eat them up.
Surely the Lord GOD helps Me. Who is there to
condemn Me? See, they will
all wear out like a garment; the
moths will
devour them.
Behold,
all ye that
kindle a fire, that compass
yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have
kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.
Behold,
all you who
kindle a fire, who
array yourselves with firebrands, walk in the light of your fire and of the firebrands you have
lit! This is what you will receive from My hand: You will lie down in a place of
torment.
For the LORD shall comfort
Zion: he will comfort
all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like
Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and
gladness shall be found therein,
thanksgiving, and the voice of
melody.
For the
moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.
For the
moth will
devour them like a garment, and the worm will eat them like wool. But My righteousness will last
forever, My salvation through
all generations.”
And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the
fury of the
oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the
fury of the
oppressor?
But you have forgotten the LORD, your Maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth. You live in terror
all day long because of the
fury of the
oppressor who is bent on destruction. But where is the
fury of the
oppressor?
There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she hath brought forth; neither is there any that taketh her by the hand of all the sons that she hath brought up.
Among all the sons she bore, there is no one to guide her; among all the sons she brought up, there is no one to take her hand.
Thy sons have
fainted, they lie at the head of
all the streets, as a wild bull in a net: they are full of the
fury of the LORD, the
rebuke of thy God.
Your sons have
fainted; they lie at the head of every street, like an
antelope in a net. They are full of the wrath of the LORD, the
rebuke of your God.
Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for
nought? they that rule over them make them to
howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is
blasphemed.
And now what have I here? declares the LORD. For My people have been taken without cause; those who rule them
taunt, declares the LORD, and My name is
blasphemed continually
all day long.
The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
The LORD has bared His holy arm in the sight of all the nations; all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.
All we like sheep have gone
astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us
all.
We
all like sheep have gone
astray, each one has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid upon Him the iniquity of us
all.
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the
spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made
intercession for the transgressors.
Therefore I will
allot Him a portion with the great, and He will divide the spoils with the strong, because He has poured out His life unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors. Yet He bore the sin of many and made
intercession for the transgressors.
For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy
Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
For your husband is your Maker— the LORD of Hosts is His name— the Holy One of Israel is your
Redeemer; He is called the God of
all the earth.
And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones.
I will make your pinnacles of
rubies, your gates of
sparkling jewels, and
all your walls of precious stones.
And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children.
Then all your sons will be taught by the LORD, and great will be their prosperity.
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye,
buy, and eat;
yea, come,
buy wine and milk without money and without price.
“Come,
all you who are
thirsty, come to the waters; and you without money, come,
buy, and eat! Come,
buy wine and milk without money and without cost!
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and
all the trees of the field shall
clap their hands.
You will indeed go out with joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will
burst into song before you, and
all the trees of the field will
clap their hands.
Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from
polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
And the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD to minister to Him, to love the name of the LORD, and to be His servants—
all who keep the Sabbath without
profaning it and who hold fast to My covenant—
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
I will bring them to My holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on My altar, for My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations.”
All ye beasts of the field, come to
devour,
yea,
all ye beasts in the forest.
Come,
all you beasts of the field; eat
greedily,
all you beasts of the forest.
His
watchmen are blind: they are
all ignorant, they are
all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to
slumber.
Israel’s
watchmen are blind, they are
all oblivious; they are
all mute dogs, they cannot bark; they are dreamers lying around, loving to
slumber.
Yea, they are
greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are
shepherds that cannot understand: they
all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
Like
ravenous dogs, they are never satisfied. They are
shepherds with no
discernment; they
all turn to their own way, each one seeking his own gain:
When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them
all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall
inherit my holy mountain;
When you cry out, let your companies of idols deliver you! Yet the wind will carry off
all of them, a breath will take them away. But he who seeks refuge in Me will
inherit the land and possess My holy mountain.”
Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we
afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact
all your labours.
“Why have we fasted, and You have not seen? Why have we humbled ourselves, and You have not noticed?” “Behold, on the day of your fast, you do as you please, and you
oppress all your workers.
We
roar all like bears, and
mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.
We
all growl like bears and
moan like doves. We hope for justice, but find none, for salvation, but it is far from us.
Lift up thine eyes round about, and see:
all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be
nursed at thy side.
Lift up your eyes and look around: They
all gather and come to you; your sons will come from
afar, and your daughters will be carried on the arm.
The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the
dromedaries of
Midian and
Ephah;
all they from
Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall
shew forth the praises of the LORD.
All the flocks of
Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will
glorify the house of my glory.
All the flocks of
Kedar will be gathered to you; the rams of Nebaioth will serve you and go up on My altar with acceptance; I will
adorn My glorious house.
The sons also of them that
afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and
all they that
despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The
Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
The sons of your oppressors will come and bow down to you;
all who
reviled you will fall facedown at your feet and call you the City of the LORD,
Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
Thy people also shall be
all righteous: they shall
inherit the land for ever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be
glorified.
Then
all your people will be righteous; they will possess the land
forever; they are the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, so that I may be
glorified.
And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.
Their descendants will be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the LORD has blessed.
For as the earth bringeth forth her
bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before
all the nations.
For as the earth brings forth its growth, and as a garden enables seed to spring up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring up before all the nations.
And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.
Nations will see your righteousness, and
all kings your glory. You will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will
bestow.
I have
trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will
tread them in mine anger, and
trample them in my
fury; and their blood shall be
sprinkled upon my garments, and I will
stain all my
raiment.
“I have
trodden the winepress alone, and no one from the nations was with Me. I
trampled them in My anger and
trod them down in My
fury; their blood
spattered My garments, and
all My clothes were
stained.
I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to
all that the LORD hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his
mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.
I will make known the LORD’s loving devotion and His
praiseworthy acts, because of
all that the LORD has done for us— the many good things for the house of Israel according to His great
compassion and loving devotion.
In
all their
affliction he was
afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his
pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them
all the days of old.
In
all their distress, He too was
afflicted, and the Angel of His Presence saved them. In His love and
compassion He redeemed them; He lifted them up and carried them
all the days of old.
But we are
all as an unclean thing, and
all our righteousnesses are as
filthy rags; and we
all do
fade as a leaf; and our
iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Each of us has become like something unclean, and
all our righteous acts are like
filthy rags; we
all wither like a leaf, and our
iniquities carry us away like the wind.
But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our
potter; and we
all are the work of thy hand.
But now, O LORD, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You are the
potter; we are
all the work of Your hand.
Be not
wroth very
sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we
beseech thee, we are
all thy people.
Do not be
angry, O LORD, beyond measure; do not remember our iniquity
forever. Oh, look upon us, we pray; we are
all Your people!
Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste.
Our holy and beautiful temple, where our fathers praised You, has been burned with fire, and
all that was
dear to us lies in ruins.
After
all this, O LORD, will You restrain
Yourself? Will You keep silent and
afflict us beyond measure?
I have spread out my hands
all the day unto a
rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;
All day long I have held out My hands to an
obstinate people who walk in the wrong path, who follow their own imaginations,
Which say, Stand by
thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth
all the day.
They say, ‘Keep to
yourself; do not come near me, for I am holier than you!’ Such people are smoke in My nostrils, a fire that burns
all day long.
Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the
cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants’ sakes, that I may not destroy them
all.
This is what the LORD says: “As the new wine is found in a
cluster of grapes, and men say, ‘Do not destroy it, for it contains a blessing,’ so I will act on behalf of My servants; I will not destroy them
all.
Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.
I will
destine you for the sword, and you will
all kneel down to be slaughtered, because I called and you did not answer, I spoke and you did not
listen; you did evil in My sight and chose that in which I did not delight.”
The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the
bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not
hurt nor destroy in
all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.
The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, but the food of the serpent will be dust. They will neither
harm nor destroy on
all My holy mountain,” says the LORD.
For
all those things hath mine hand made, and
all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a
contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
Has not My hand made
all these things? And so they came into being,” declares the LORD. “This is the one I will esteem: he who is humble and
contrite in spirit, who trembles at My word.
Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be
glad with her,
all ye that love her:
rejoice for joy with her,
all ye that
mourn for her:
For by fire and by his sword will the LORD
plead with
all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
For by fire and by His sword, the LORD will
execute judgment on
all flesh, and many will be slain by the LORD.
For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
“And I, knowing their deeds and thoughts, am coming to gather all nations and tongues, and they will come and see My glory.
And they shall bring
all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of
all nations upon horses, and in
chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.
And they will bring
all your brothers from
all the nations as a gift to the LORD on horses and
chariots and wagons, on mules and camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem,” says the LORD, “just as the Israelites bring an offering in a clean vessel to the house of the LORD.”
And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come to worship before Me,” says the LORD.
And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have
transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be
quenched; and they shall be an
abhorring unto
all flesh.
“As they go forth, they will see the corpses of the men who have rebelled against Me; for their worm will never die, their fire will never be
quenched, and they will be a
horror to
all mankind.”
But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to
all that I shall send thee, and
whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
But the LORD told me: “Do not say, ‘I am only a child.’ For to
everyone I send you, you must go, and
all that I command you, you must speak.
Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
Then the LORD said to me, “
Disaster from the north will be poured out on
all who live in the land.
For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.
For I am about to
summon all the clans and kingdoms of the north,” declares the LORD. “Their kings will come and set up their thrones at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem. They will attack
all her surrounding walls and
all the other cities of Judah.
And I will utter my judgments against them touching
all their wickedness, who have
forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.
I will
pronounce My judgments against them for
all their wickedness, because they have
forsaken Me to burn incense to other gods and to worship the works of their own hands.
Thou therefore
gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them
all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I
confound thee before them.
Get
yourself ready. Stand up and tell them everything that I command you. Do not be
intimidated by them, or I will
terrify you before them.
Israel was
holiness unto the LORD, and the firstfruits of his increase:
all that
devour him shall
offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD.
Israel was holy to the LORD, the firstfruits of His harvest.
All who
devoured her found themselves guilty;
disaster came upon them,’” declares the LORD.
Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel:
Hear the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all you families of the house of Israel.
Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which
doth not profit.
Has a nation ever changed its gods, though they are no gods at all? Yet My people have exchanged their Glory for useless idols.
A wild
ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind at her pleasure; in her occasion who can turn her away?
all they that seek her will not
weary themselves; in her month they shall find her.
a wild
donkey at home in the wilderness,
sniffing the wind in the heat of her desire. Who can restrain her passion?
All who seek her need not
weary themselves; in mating season they will find her.
Wherefore will ye
plead with me? ye
all have
transgressed against me, saith the LORD.
Why do you bring a case against Me? You have all rebelled against Me,” declares the LORD.
Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these.
Moreover, your skirts are
stained with the blood of the innocent poor, though you did not find them breaking in. But in spite of
all these things
Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.
Will He be
angry forever? Will He be
indignant to the end?’ This you have spoken, but you keep doing
all the evil you can.”
And I said after she had done
all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her
treacherous sister Judah saw it.
I thought that after she had done all these things, she would return to Me. But she did not return, and her unfaithful sister Judah saw it.
And I saw, when for
all the causes whereby
backsliding Israel committed
adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of
divorce; yet her
treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the
harlot also.
She saw that because faithless Israel had committed
adultery, I gave her a
certificate of
divorce and sent her away. Yet that unfaithful sister Judah had no fear and
prostituted herself as well.
And yet for
all this her
treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but
feignedly, saith the LORD.
Yet in spite of all this, her unfaithful sister Judah did not return to Me with all her heart, but only in pretense,” declares the LORD.
At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.
At that time Jerusalem will be called The Throne of the LORD, and
all the nations will be gathered in Jerusalem to honor the name of the LORD. They will no longer follow the
stubbornness of their evil hearts.
But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly
heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.
Then I said, ‘How I long to make you My sons and give you a desirable land, the most beautiful inheritance of all the nations!’ I thought you would call Me ‘Father’ and never turn away from following Me.
I
beheld the mountains, and, lo, they
trembled, and
all the hills moved lightly.
I looked at the mountains, and behold, they were
quaking;
all the hills were
swaying.
I
beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and
all the birds of the heavens were fled.
I looked, and no man was left; all the birds of the air had fled.
I
beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and
all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.
I looked, and the fruitful land was a desert.
All its cities were
torn down before the LORD, before His fierce anger.
Their quivers are like open graves; they are all mighty men.
And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God
all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have
forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not yours.
And when the people ask, ‘For what
offense has the LORD our God done
all these things to us?’ You are to tell them, ‘Just as you have
forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your land, so will you serve foreigners in a land that is not your own.’”
The
shepherds with their flocks shall come unto her; they shall pitch their tents against her round about; they shall feed every one in his place.
Shepherds and their flocks will come against her; they will pitch their tents
all around her, each tending his own portion:
For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to
covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
“For from the least of them to the greatest,
all are
greedy for gain; from prophet to priest,
all practice
deceit.
They have
healed also the
hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
They dress the wound of My people with very little care, saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace at all.
Were they
ashamed when they had committed
abomination?
nay, they were not at
all ashamed, neither could they
blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.
Are they
ashamed of the
abomination they have committed? No, they have no shame at
all; they do not even know how to
blush. So they will fall among the fallen; when I
punish them, they will
collapse,” says the LORD.
They are
all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are
all corrupters.
All are
hardened rebels, walking around as slanderers. They are bronze and iron;
all of them are corrupt.
Stand in the gate of the LORD’S house, and
proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD,
all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD.
“Stand in the gate of the house of the LORD and
proclaim this message: Hear the word of the LORD,
all you people of Judah who enter through these gates to worship the LORD.
And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?
and then come and stand before Me in this house, which bears My Name, and say, ‘We are delivered, so we can continue with all these abominations’?
And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;
And now, because you have done
all these things, declares the LORD, and because I have spoken to you again and again but you would not
listen, and I have called to you but you would not answer,
And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.
And I will cast you out of My presence, just as I have cast out all your brothers, all the descendants of Ephraim.
But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
but this is what I commanded them: Obey Me, and I will be your God, and you will be My people. You must walk in all the ways I have commanded you, so that it may go well with you.
Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:
From the day your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have sent you all My servants the prophets again and again.
Therefore thou shalt speak
all these words unto them; but they will not
hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.
When you tell them
all these things, they will not
listen to you. When you call to them, they will not answer.
And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.
They will be exposed to the sun and moon, and to all the host of heaven which they have loved, served, followed, consulted, and worshiped. Their bones will not be gathered up or buried, but will become like dung lying on the ground.
And death shall be chosen rather than life by
all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in
all the places
whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts.
And wherever I have banished them, the
remnant of this evil family will choose death over life,” declares the LORD of Hosts.
