Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.
And
Enoch also, the seventh from Adam,
prophesied of these, saying,
Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
Enoch, the seventh from Adam, also
prophesied about them: “
Behold, the Lord is coming with myriads of His holy ones
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall
wail because of him. Even so,
Amen.
Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him—even those who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will
mourn because of Him. So shall it be!
Amen.
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and,
behold, I am alive for
evermore,
Amen; and have the keys of
hell and of death.
the Living One. I was dead, and
behold, now I am alive
forever and ever! And I hold the keys of Death and of Hades.
Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer:
behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have
tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Look, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison to test you, and you will suffer
tribulation for ten days. Be faithful even unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit
adultery with her into great
tribulation, except they
repent of their deeds.
Behold, I will cast her
onto a bed of sickness, and those who commit
adultery with her will suffer great
tribulation unless they
repent of her deeds.
I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door, which no one can shut. For you have only a little strength, yet you have kept My word and have not denied My name.
Behold, I will make them of the
synagogue of
Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie;
behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Look at those who belong to the
synagogue of
Satan, who claim to be Jews but are liars instead. I will make them come and bow down at your feet, and they will know that I love you.
Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
I am coming soon. Hold fast to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
Behold, I stand at the door, and
knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will
sup with him, and he with me.
Behold, I stand at the door and
knock. If
anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and
dine with him, and he with Me.
After this I looked, and,
behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a
trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up
hither, and I will
shew thee things which must be
hereafter.
After this I looked and saw a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had previously heard speak to me like a
trumpet was saying, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after these things.”
And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

And one of the elders saith unto me,
Weep not:
behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not
weep!
Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed to open the
scroll and its seven seals.”
And I saw, and
behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth
conquering, and to
conquer.
So I looked and saw a white horse, and its rider held a bow. And he was given a crown, and he
rode out to overcome and
conquer.
And I looked, and
behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and
Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
Then I looked and saw a pale green horse. Its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed close behind. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill by sword, by famine, by plague, and by the beasts of the earth.
One
woe is past; and,
behold, there come two woes more
hereafter.
The first
woe has passed.
Behold, two woes are still to follow.
The second
woe is past; and,
behold, the third
woe cometh quickly.
The second
woe has passed.
Behold, the third
woe is coming shortly.
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and
behold a great red
dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
Then another sign appeared in heaven: a huge red
dragon with seven heads, ten horns, and seven royal crowns on his heads.
And I looked, and
behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp
sickle.
And I looked and saw a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was One like the Son of Man, with a golden crown on His head and a sharp
sickle in His hand.
And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:
After this I looked, and the temple—the tabernacle of the Testimony—was opened in heaven.
Behold, I come as a
thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
“
Behold, I am coming like a
thief. Blessed is the one who remains
awake and clothed, so that he will not go naked and let his shame be exposed.”
The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall
ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into
perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they
behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
The beast that you saw—it was, and now is no more, but is about to come up out of the
Abyss and go to its destruction. And those who dwell on the earth whose names were not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world will
marvel when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet will be.
And I saw heaven opened, and
behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he
doth judge and make war.
Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God.
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
And the One seated on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” Then He said, “Write this down, for these words are faithful and true.”
Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
“Behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of prophecy in this book.”
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
“Behold, I am coming soon, and My reward is with Me, to give to each one according to what he has done.
Behold, now are we before thee in our
iniquities, for we cannot stand any longer by reason of these things before thee.
And now, brother, behold what glory; and see the people that come from the east:
Arise up and stand, behold the number of those that be sealed in the feast of the Lord;
So I stood, and saw, and,
behold, an hot burning
oven passed by before me: and it happened that when the flame was gone by I looked, and,
behold, the smoke remained still.
Nevertheless as coming the
tokens,
behold, the days shall come, that they which dwell upon earth shall be taken in a great number, and the way of truth shall be hidden, and the land shall be barren of faith.
And I said,
Behold, O Lord, yet art thou
nigh unto them that be reserved till the end: and what shall they do that have been before me, or we that be now, or they that shall come after us?
And it happened, that when I had heard it I stood up upon my feet, and
hearkened, and,
behold, there was a voice that spake, and the sound of it was like the sound of many waters.
And it said,
Behold, the days come, that I will begin to draw
nigh, and to visit them that dwell upon the earth,
And when he talked with me, behold, I looked by little and little upon him before whom I stood.
And now, O Lord,
behold, these heathen, which have ever been reputed as nothing, have begun to be lords over us, and to
devour us.
Behold, the time shall come, that these
tokens which I have told thee shall come to pass, and the
bride shall appear, and she coming forth shall be seen, that now is withdrawn from the earth.
O Lord, thou that dwellest in
everlastingness which
beholdest from above things in the heaven and in the air;
Behold, O Lord, now hast thou shewed me the multitude of the wonders, which thou
wilt begin to do in the last times: but at what time, thou hast not shewed me.
So I considered the world, and,
behold, there was
peril because of the devices that were come into it.
For,
behold, I
sow my law in you, and it shall bring fruit in you, and ye shall be honoured in it for ever.
And when I spake these things in my heart, I looked back with mine eyes, and upon the right side I saw a woman, and,
behold, she
mourned and
wept with a loud voice, and was much
grieved in heart, and her clothes were rent, and she had ashes upon her head.
For out of her came all at the first, and out of her shall all others come, and, behold, they walk almost all into destruction, and a multitude of them is utterly rooted out.
And it came to pass while I was talking with her,
behold, her face upon a sudden
shined exceedingly, and her countenance
glistered, so that I was afraid of her, and
mused what it might be.
And,
behold, suddenly she made a great cry very fearful: so that the earth
shook at the noise of the woman.
And I looked, and,
behold, the woman appeared unto me no more, but there was a city builded, and a large place shewed itself from the foundations: then was I afraid, and
cried with a loud voice, and said,
And as I was speaking these words behold, he came unto me, and looked upon me.
And,
behold, thou sawest her likeness, and because she
mourned for her son, thou begannest to comfort her: and of these things which have chanced, these are to be opened unto thee.
Then saw I a dream, and,
behold, there came up from the sea an eagle, which had twelve
feathered wings, and three heads.
And I saw, and,
behold, she spread her wings over all the earth, and all the winds of the air
blew on her, and were gathered together.
And I numbered her contrary feathers, and, behold, there were eight of them.
And I looked, and,
behold, on the right side there arose one
feather, and reigned over all the earth;
After this I looked, and, behold, the twelve feathers appeared no more, nor the two little feathers:
And when they so thought,
behold, there
awaked one of the heads that were at rest, namely, it that was in the midst; for that was greater than the two other heads.
And, behold, the head was turned with them that were with it, and did eat up the two feathers under the wing that would have reigned.
The Highest also hath looked upon the proud times, and, behold, they are ended, and his abominations are fulfilled.
And,
behold, the head that remained and the four wings appeared no more, and the two went unto it and set themselves up to reign, and their kingdom was small, and fill of
uproar.
And I saw, and,
behold, they appeared no more, and the whole body of the eagle was burnt so that the earth was in great fear: then
awaked I out of the trouble and
trance of my mind, and from great fear, and said unto my spirit,
Behold, the days will come, that there shall rise up a kingdom upon earth, and it shall be feared above all the kingdoms that were before it.
Behold, the days come, when the most High will begin to deliver them that are upon the earth.
And it came to pass upon the third day, I sat under an oak, and,
behold, there came a voice out of a
bush over against me, and said,
Esdras,
Esdras.
Behold, Lord, I will go, as thou hast commanded me, and reprove the people which are present: but they that shall be born afterward, who shall
admonish them? thus the world is set in darkness, and they that dwell therein are without light.
And the next day,
behold, a voice called me, saying,
Esdras, open thy mouth, and drink that I give thee to drink.
Then opened I my mouth, and, behold, he reached me a full cup, which was full as it were with water, but the colour of it was like fire.
Behold, speak thou in the ears of my people the words of prophecy, which I will put in thy mouth, saith the Lord:
Behold, saith the Lord, I will bring plagues upon the world; the sword, famine, death, and destruction.
I will hold my tongue no more as touching their wickedness, which they
profanely commit, neither will I suffer them in those things, in which they wickedly exercise themselves:
behold, the innocent and righteous blood crieth unto me, and the souls of the just
complain continually.
Behold, my people is led as a flock to the slaughter: I will not suffer them now to dwell in the land of Egypt:
Behold, saith God, I will call together all the kings of the earth to reverence me, which are from the rising of the sun, from the south, from the east, and Libanus; to turn themselves one against another, and repay the things that they have done to them.
Behold an
horrible vision, and the appearance thereof from the east:
Behold clouds from the east and from the north unto the south, and they are very
horrible to look upon, full of wrath and storm.
Behold, the plagues are sent, and shall not return again, until they come upon the earth.
Behold,
victuals shall be so good
cheap upon earth, that they shall think themselves to be in good case, and even then shall evils grow upon earth, sword, famine, and great confusion.
Behold, the word of the Lord, receive it: believe not the gods of whom the Lord spake.
Behold, the plagues draw
nigh, and are not
slack.
Behold, the Lord knoweth all the works of men, their imaginations, their thoughts, and their hearts:
Behold, God himself is the judge, fear him: leave off from your sins, and
forget your
iniquities, to
meddle no more with them for ever: so shall God lead you forth, and deliver you from all trouble.
For,
behold, the burning wrath of a great multitude is
kindled over you, and they shall take away certain of you, and feed you, being idle, with things offered unto idols.
Hear, O ye my beloved, saith the Lord: behold, the days of trouble are at hand, but I will deliver you from the same.
But she replied upon me, It was given for a gift more than the wages.
Howbeit I did not believe her, but
bade her render it to the owners: and I was
abashed at her. But she replied upon me, Where are thine
alms and thy righteous deeds?
behold, thou and all thy works are known.
Then he said unto him, Go and
tarry not. So he went in and said to his father,
Behold, I have found one which will go with me. Then he said, Call him unto me, that I may know of what tribe he is, and whether he be a
trusty man to go with thee.
Then he called his daughter Sara, and she came to her father, and he took her by the hand, and gave her to be wife to Tobias, saying, Behold, take her after the law of Moses, and lead her away to thy father. And he blessed them;
And he said to his daughter, Honour thy father and thy mother in law, which are now thy parents, that I may hear good report of thee. And he
kissed her. Edna also said to Tobias, The Lord of heaven restore thee, my
dear brother, and grant that I may see thy children of my daughter Sara before I die, that I may
rejoice before the Lord:
behold, I commit my daughter unto thee of special trust; where are do not
entreat her evil.
And when she
espied him coming, she said to his father,
Behold, thy son cometh, and the man that went with him.
For thou hast
scourged, and hast taken
pity on me: for,
behold, I see my son Tobias. And his son went in
rejoicing, and told his father the great things that had happened to him in Media.
And when he was very aged he called his son, and the sons of his son, and said to him, My son, take thy children; for, behold, I am aged, and am ready to depart out of this life.
Thus saith the great king, the lord of the whole earth,
Behold, thou shalt go forth from my presence, and take with thee men that trust in their own strength, of
footmen an hundred and twenty thousand; and the number of horses with their riders twelve thousand.
Behold, we the servants of Nabuchodonosor the great king lie before thee; use us as shall be good in thy sight.
Behold, our houses, and all our places, and all our fields of wheat, and flocks, and herds, and all the lodges of our tents lie before thy face; use them as it pleaseth thee.
Behold, even our cities and the inhabitants thereof are thy servants; come and deal with them as seemeth good unto thee.
O Lord God of heaven,
behold their pride, and
pity the low estate of our nation, and look upon the face of those that are
sanctified unto thee this day.
She was also of a goodly countenance, and very beautiful to behold: and her husband Manasses had left her gold, and silver, and menservants and maidservants, and cattle, and lands; and she remained upon them.
For,
behold, the Assyrians are multiplied in their power; they are
exalted with horse and man; they glory in the strength of their
footmen; they trust in shield, and
spear, and bow, and
sling; and know not that thou art the Lord that breakest the battles: the Lord is thy name.
Behold their pride, and send thy wrath upon their heads: give into mine hand, which am a widow, the power that I have conceived.
So she took the head out of the
bag, and shewed it, and said unto them,
behold the head of Holofernes, the chief captain of the army of Assur, and
behold the
canopy, wherein he did lie in his
drunkenness; and the Lord hath
smitten him by the hand of a woman.
These slaves have dealt
treacherously; one woman of the Hebrews hath brought shame upon the house of king Nabuchodonosor: for,
behold, Holofernes lieth upon the ground without a head.
Then Joacim the high priest, and the ancients of the children of Israel that dwelt in Jerusalem, came to
