circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or
bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.
Generation after generation, every male must be
circumcised when he is eight days old, including those born in your household and those purchased from a foreigner—even those who are not your offspring.

everlasting covenant.

circumcised the flesh of their
foreskin in the
selfsame day, as God had said unto him.

Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands.

ate the rations that Pharaoh supplied; so they did not sell their land.

dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased.

And ye shall take you on the first day the
boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the
boughs of thick trees, and willows of the
brook; and ye shall
rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.

majestic trees, the branches of palm trees, and the
boughs of
leafy trees and of willows of the

But if he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubile: and in the jubile it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.
But if he cannot obtain enough to repay him, what he sold will remain in possession of the
buyer until the Year of
Jubilee. In the
Jubilee, however, it is to be released, so that he may return to his property.
And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubile.
If it is not redeemed by the end of a full year, then the house in the walled city is permanently transferred to its
buyer and his descendants. It is not to be released in the
Jubilee.
And he shall
reckon with him that
bought him from the year that he was sold to him unto the year of jubile: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years, according to the time of an
hired servant shall it be with him.
He and his purchaser will then count the time from the year he sold himself up to the Year of
Jubilee. The price of his sale will be determined by the number of years, based on the daily wages of a
hired hand.
If there be yet many years behind, according unto them he shall give again the price of his
redemption out of the money that he was
bought for.
If many years remain, he must pay for his
redemption in proportion to his purchase price.

Jubilee the field shall return to the one from whom it was
bought—the original owner of the land.

Do ye thus requite the LORD, O
foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath
bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?
Is this how you repay the LORD, O
foolish and senseless people? Is He not your Father and
Creator? Has He not made you and established you?
And the bones of Joseph, which the children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, buried they in
Shechem, in a

bought of the sons of Hamor the father of

Abimelech gat him up to mount Zalmon, he and all the people that were with him; and
Abimelech took an
axe in his hand, and cut down a
bough from the trees, and took it, and laid it on his shoulder, and said unto the people that were with him, What ye have seen me do, make
haste, and do as I have done.
he and all his men went up to Mount Zalmon.
Abimelech took his
axe in his hand and cut a branch from the trees, which he lifted to his shoulder, saying to his men, “
Hurry and do what you have seen me do.”

bough, and followed
Abimelech, and put them to the hold, and set the hold on fire upon them; so that all the men of the tower of
Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women.

Abimelech. Then they piled the branches against the inner chamber and set it on fire above them, killing
everyone in the tower of
Shechem, about a thousand men and women.

today that I am
buying from
Naomi all that belonged to Elimelech, Chilion, and Mahlon.
But the poor man had nothing, save one little
ewe lamb, which he had
bought and
nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and
drank of his own cup, and lay in his
bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.
but the poor man had nothing except one small
ewe lamb that he had
bought. He raised it, and it grew up with him and his children. It shared his food and
drank from his cup; it
slept in his arms and was like a daughter to him.
And
Absalom met the servants of David. And
Absalom rode upon a
mule, and the
mule went under the thick
boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the
mule that was under him went away.
Now
Absalom was riding on his
mule when he met the servants of David, and as the
mule went under the thick branches of a large oak,
Absalom’s head was caught fast in the tree. The
mule under him kept going, so that he was suspended in midair.
And the king said unto Araunah,
Nay; but I will surely
buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which
doth cost me nothing. So David
bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
“No,” replied the king, “I
insist on paying a price, for I will not offer to the LORD my God burnt offerings that cost me nothing.” So David
bought the
threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
And he bought the hill Samaria of Shemer for two talents of silver, and built on the hill, and called the name of the city which he built, after the name of Shemer, owner of the hill, Samaria.

Yea, also I continued in the work of this wall, neither
bought we any land: and all my servants were gathered thither unto the work.

Yet through the
scent of water it will
bud, and bring forth
boughs like a plant.
It cannot be
gotten for gold, neither shall silver be
weighed for the price thereof.
It cannot be
bought with gold, nor can its price be
weighed out in silver.
The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.
The mountains were covered by its shade, and the mighty cedars with its branches.
She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river.
It sent out its branches to the Sea, and its shoots toward the River.
I said, I will go up to the palm tree, I will take hold of the boughs thereof: now also thy breasts shall be as clusters of the vine, and the smell of thy nose like apples;
I said, “I will
climb the palm tree; I will take hold of its fruit.” May your breasts be like clusters of the vine, the
fragrance of your breath like apples,
Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall
lop the
bough with terror: and the high ones of
stature shall be
hewn down, and the
haughty shall be humbled.
Behold, the Lord GOD of Hosts will
lop off the branches with
terrifying power. The tall trees will be cut down, the lofty ones will be felled.
Yet
gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the
shaking of an olive tree, two or three
berries in the top of the
uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the LORD God of Israel.
Yet gleanings will remain, like an olive tree that has been beaten— two or three
berries atop the tree, four or five on its fruitful branches,” declares the LORD, the God of Israel.
In that day shall his strong cities be as a
forsaken bough, and an
uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be
desolation.
In that day their strong cities will be like
forsaken thickets and summits, abandoned to the Israelites and to utter
desolation.
When the
boughs thereof are
withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will
shew them no favour.
When its limbs are dry, they are broken off. Women come and use them for
kindling; for this is a people without understanding. Therefore their Maker has no
compassion on them, and their
Creator shows them no favor.
Thou hast
bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast
wearied me with thine
iniquities.
You have not
bought Me sweet cane with your silver, nor satisfied Me with the fat of your sacrifices. But you have burdened Me with your sins; you have
wearied Me with your
iniquities.
So I got a
girdle according to the word of the LORD, and put it on my loins.
So I
bought a loincloth as the LORD had
instructed me, and I put it around my
waist.
Take the
girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.
“Take the loincloth that you
bought and are wearing, and go at once to Perath and hide it there in a
crevice of the rocks.”
And I
bought the field of Hanameel my uncle’s son, that was in Anathoth, and
weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.
So I
bought the field in Anathoth from my cousin Hanamel, and I
weighed out seventeen shekels of silver.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.
For this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: Houses, fields, and vineyards will again be bought in this land.”
And fields shall be
bought in this land,
whereof ye say, It is
desolate without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
And fields will be
bought in this land about which you are saying, ‘It is a
desolation, without man or beast; it has been delivered into the hands of the Chaldeans.’
In the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth
boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly
cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell.
I will plant it on the mountain heights of Israel so that it will bear branches; it will yield fruit and become a
majestic cedar. Birds of every kind will nest under it, taking shelter in the shade of its branches.
Behold, the Assyrian was a
cedar in
Lebanon with fair branches, and with a shadowing
shroud, and of an high
stature; and his top was among the thick
boughs.
Look at Assyria, a
cedar in
Lebanon, with beautiful branches that shaded the forest. It towered on high; its top was among the clouds.
Therefore his height was
exalted above all the trees of the field, and his
boughs were multiplied, and his branches became long because of the multitude of waters, when he shot forth.
Therefore it towered higher than all the trees of the field. Its branches multiplied, and its boughs grew long as it spread them out because of the abundant waters.
All the fowls of heaven made their nests in his boughs, and under his branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young, and under his shadow dwelt all great nations.
All the birds of the air nested in its branches, and all the beasts of the field gave birth beneath its boughs; all the great nations lived in its shade.
The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: the
fir trees were not like his
boughs, and the
chesnut trees were not like his branches; nor any tree in the garden of God was like unto him in his beauty.
The cedars in the garden of God could not rival it; the
cypresses could not compare with its branches, nor the plane trees
match its
boughs. No tree in the garden of God could compare with its beauty.
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast lifted up
thyself in height, and he hath shot up his top among the thick
boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height;
Therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Since it became great in height and set its top among the clouds, and it grew proud on account of its height,
And strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut him off, and have left him: upon the mountains and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs are broken by all the rivers of the land; and all the people of the earth are gone down from his shadow, and have left him.
Foreigners, the most
ruthless of the nations, cut it down and left it. Its branches have fallen on the mountains and in every valley; its
boughs lay broken in all the earth’s ravines. And all the peoples of the earth left its shade and abandoned it.
Upon his ruin shall all the fowls of the heaven remain, and all the beasts of the field shall be upon his branches:
All the birds of the air nested on its fallen trunk, and all the beasts of the field lived among its boughs.
To the end that none of all the trees by the waters
exalt themselves for their height, neither shoot up their top among the thick
boughs, neither their trees stand up in their height, all that drink water: for they are all delivered unto death, to the
nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit.
This happened so that no other trees by the waters would become great in height and set their tops among the clouds, and no other well-watered trees would reach them in height. For they have all been
consigned to death, to the depths of the earth, among the mortals who descend to the Pit.’
The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all flesh was fed of it.
Its leaves were beautiful, its fruit was abundant, and upon it was food for all. Under it the beasts of the field found shelter, in its branches the birds of the air nested, and from it every creature was fed.
So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:
So I bought her for fifteen shekels of silver and a homer and a lethech of barley.
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto
treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
The kingdom of heaven is like
treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he
hid it again, and in his joy he went and sold all he had and
bought that field.

pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and
bought it.

pearl, he went away and sold all he had and
bought it.

And he
bought fine linen, and took him down, and
wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a
sepulchre which was
hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the
sepulchre.
So Joseph
bought a linen cloth, took down the body of Jesus,
wrapped it in the cloth, and placed it in a tomb that had been cut out of the rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance to the tomb.
And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and
Salome, had
bought sweet spices, that they might come and
anoint him.
When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and
Salome bought spices so they could go and
anoint the body of Jesus.
And they all with one consent began to make
excuse. The first said unto him, I have
bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me
excused.
But one after another they all began to make excuses. The first one said, ‘I have
bought a field, and I need to go see it. Please
excuse me.’
And another said, I have
bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me
excused.
Another said, ‘I have
bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them out. Please
excuse me.’
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they
drank, they
bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
It was the same in the days of Lot: People were eating and drinking,
buying and selling, planting and building.
And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;

And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the
sepulchre that Abraham
bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.
Their bones were carried back to
Shechem and placed in the tomb that Abraham had
bought from the sons of Hamor at
Shechem for a price he paid in silver.
For ye are
bought with a price: therefore
glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
you were
bought at a price. Therefore
glorify God with your body.
Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men.
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who
privily shall bring in
damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that
bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
Now there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive
heresies, even denying the Master who
bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves.
Both they, and their wives and their children, and their cattle, and every stranger and
hireling, and their servants
bought with money, put
sackcloth upon their loins.
If thou have a servant, let him be unto thee as
thyself, because thou hast
bought him with a price.
The things wherein there is no breath are bought for a most high price.
Therefore they bare branches, and fair
boughs, and palms also, and
sang psalms unto him that had given them good success in
cleansing his place.
Came to king
Demetrius in the hundred and one and
fiftieth year, presenting unto him a crown of gold, and a palm, and also of the
boughs which were used solemnly in the temple: and so that day he held his peace.
