came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were
Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of
Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to
heal them.
One day Jesus was teaching, and the

heal the sick.
And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a

I
came not to call the righteous, but sinners to
repentance.
I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to
repentance.”

came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples
plucked the ears of corn, and did eat,
rubbing them in their hands.

pick the heads of grain,
rub them in their hands, and eat them.
And it
came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the
synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was
withered.

daylight came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also designated as apostles:
And he
came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and
Sidon, which
came to hear him, and to be
healed of their diseases;
Then Jesus
came down with them and stood on a level place. A large crowd of His disciples was there, along with a great number of people from all over
Judea, Jerusalem, and the sea coast of Tyre and
Sidon.
He is like a man which built an house, and
digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat
vehemently upon that house, and could not
shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
He is like a man building a house, who
dug down deep and laid his foundation on the rock. When the flood
came, the
torrent crashed against that house but could not
shake it, because it was well built.
And when they
came to Jesus, they
besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:

And he
came and touched the

Then He went up and touched the
coffin, and those carrying it stood still. “Young man,” He said, “I tell you, get up!”
And there
came a fear on all: and they
glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.
A sense of
awe swept over all of them, and they
glorified God. “A great prophet has appeared among us!” they said. “God has visited His people!”
When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another?
When the men came to Jesus, they said, “John the Baptist sent us to ask, ‘Are You the One who was to come, or should we look for someone else?’”
For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.
For John the Baptist
came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a
demon!’
The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a
gluttonous man, and a
winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!
The Son of Man
came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Look at this
glutton and
drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’
Thou gavest me no
kiss: but this woman since the time I
came in hath not ceased to
kiss my feet.
You did not
greet Me with a
kiss, but she has not stopped
kissing My feet since I arrived.

Now it
came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they
launched forth.
One day Jesus said to His disciples, “Let us cross to the other side of the lake.” So He got into a boat with them and set out.
But as they sailed he fell
asleep: and there
came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in
jeopardy.
As they sailed, He fell
asleep, and a
windstorm came down on the lake, so that the boat was being
swamped, and they were in great danger.
And they
came to him, and
awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and
rebuked the wind and the
raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
The disciples went and
woke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then Jesus got up and
rebuked the wind and the
raging waters, and they
subsided, and all was calm.
Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the
swine: and the
herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were
choked.
Then the demons
came out of the man and went into the pigs, and the
herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was
drowned.
Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
So the people went out to see what had happened. They came to Jesus and found the man whom the demons had left, sitting at Jesus’ feet, clothed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.

hid, she
came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him and how she was

came trembling and fell down before Him. In the presence of all the people, she explained why she had touched Him and how she had immediately been

And when he
came into the house, he suffered no man to go in, save Peter, and James, and John, and the father and the mother of the

And when the day began to wear away, then
came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and
lodge, and get
victuals: for we are here in a desert place.
As the day neared its end, the Twelve
came to Jesus and said, “Dismiss the crowd so they can go to the surrounding villages and
countryside for
lodging and provisions. For we are in a
desolate place here.”
And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?
One day as Jesus was praying in private and the disciples were with Him, He questioned them: “Who do the crowds say I am?”
And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
About eight days after Jesus had said these things, He took with Him Peter, John, and James, and went up on a mountain to pray.
And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
As Moses and
Elijah were leaving, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters—one for You, one for Moses, and one for
Elijah.” (He did not know what he was saying.)
While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
While Peter was speaking, a cloud appeared and
enveloped them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.
And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
And a voice
came from the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, whom I have chosen.
Listen to Him!”
And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.

Now by chance a priest was going down the same road, but when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
And likewise a
Levite, when he was at the place,
came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

Levite came to that spot and saw him, he passed by on the other side.
But a certain
Samaritan, as he journeyed,
came where he was: and when he saw him, he had
compassion on him,
Now it
came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named
Martha received him into her house.
As they traveled along, Jesus entered a village where a woman named
Martha welcomed Him into her home.
But
Martha was
cumbered about much serving, and
came to him, and said, Lord,
dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone?
bid her therefore that she help me.
But
Martha was distracted by all the preparations to be made. She
came to Jesus and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her to help me!”
And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
One day in a place where Jesus had just finished praying, one of His disciples requested, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”
And he was casting out a devil, and it was
dumb. And it
came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the
dumb spake; and the people wondered.
One day Jesus was driving out a
demon that was
mute. And when the
demon was gone, the man who had been
mute spoke. The crowds were
amazed,
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
When an unclean spirit comes out of a man, it passes through
arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’
And it
came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the
womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast
sucked.

womb that bore You, and blessed are the breasts that
nursed You!”
The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and
condemn them: for she
came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with the men of this generation and
condemn them; for she
came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and now One greater than Solomon is here.
He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his
vineyard; and he
came and sought fruit
thereon, and found none.

So that servant
came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being
angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in
hither the poor, and the
maimed, and the
halt, and the blind.
The servant returned and reported all this to his master. Then the owner of the house became
angry and said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and
alleys of the city, and bring in the poor, the
crippled, the blind, and the
lame.’
And when he
came to himself, he said, How many
hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to
spare, and I perish with hunger!
Finally he
came to his senses and said, ‘How many of my father’s
hired servants have
plenty of food? But here I am,
starving to death!
And he arose, and
came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had
compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and
kissed him.
So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still in the distance, his father saw him and was filled with
compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him, and
kissed him.
Now his elder son was in the field: and as he
came and drew
nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
Meanwhile the older son was in the field, and as he approached the house, he heard music and dancing.
And he was
angry, and would not go in: therefore
came his father out, and intreated him.
The older son became
angry and refused to go in. So his father
came out and
pleaded with him.
And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs
came and
licked his sores.

came and
licked his sores.

shew yourselves unto the priests. And it
came to pass, that, as they went, they were
cleansed.
When Jesus saw them, He said, “Go, show
yourselves to the priests.” And as they were on their way, they were
cleansed.
And one of them, when he saw that he was
healed, turned back, and with a loud voice
glorified God,

They did eat, they
drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood
came, and destroyed them all.
People were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, up to the day
Noah entered the ark. Then the flood
came and destroyed them all.

came unto him, saying,
Avenge me of mine

camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Indeed, it is easier for a
camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make
haste, and come down; for to day I must
abide at thy house.
When Jesus
came to that place, He looked up and said, “Zacchaeus,
hurry down, for I must stay at your house
today.”

procuring his
kingship, he summoned the servants to whom he had given the money, to find out what each one had
earned.
Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
The first servant
came forward and said, ‘Master, your
mina has produced ten more
minas.’
And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
The second servant
came and said, ‘Master, your
mina has made five
minas.’
And another
came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a
napkin:
Then another servant
came and said, ‘Master, here is your
mina, which I have laid away in a piece of cloth.

And it
came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the
scribes came upon him with the elders,
One day as Jesus was teaching the people in the temple courts and

And early in the morning all the people would come to hear Him at the temple.
And he
came out, and went, as he was
wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed Him.
And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into
temptation.
When He
came to the place, He told them, “Pray that you will not enter into
temptation.”
And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the
scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,
At
daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and
scribes, met together. They led Jesus into their
Sanhedrin and said,
And when they were come to the place, which is called
Calvary, there they
crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
When they
came to the place called The Skull, they
crucified Him there, along with the criminals, one on His right and the other on His left.
And the soldiers also
mocked him, coming to him, and offering him
vinegar,
The soldiers also
mocked Him and
came up to offer Him
sour wine.
And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.
It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over all the land until the ninth hour.
And all the people that
came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done,
smote their breasts, and returned.
And when all the people who had gathered for this
spectacle saw what had happened, they returned home beating their breasts.
And the women also, which
came with him from
Galilee, followed after, and
beheld the
sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
The women who had come with Jesus from
Galilee followed, and they saw the tomb and how His body was placed.
Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they
came unto the
sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared.
And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
And as they talked and
deliberated, Jesus Himself
came up and walked along with them.
And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
but they did not find His body. They came and told us they had seen a vision of angels, who said that Jesus was alive.
And it
came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and
brake, and gave to them.
While He was
reclining at the table with them, He took bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave it to them.
And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
There came a man who was sent from God. His name was John.
The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
He
came as a witness to
testify about the Light, so that through him
everyone might believe.
He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
He himself was not the Light, but he
came to
testify about the Light.
He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come
baptizing with water.
I myself did not know Him, but the reason I
came baptizing with water was that He might be revealed to Israel.”
