Asa’s heart was perfect with the LORD all his
days.
The high places were not removed, but
Asa’s heart was fully devoted to the LORD all his
days.
And there was war between
Asa and
Baasha king of Israel all their
days.
Now there was war between
Asa and
Baasha king of Israel throughout their
days.
And there was war between
Asa and
Baasha king of Israel all their
days.
And there was war between
Asa and
Baasha king of Israel throughout their
days.

days. Now the troops were
encamped against Gibbethon of the Philistines,
And the people that were
encamped heard say, Zimri hath
conspired, and hath also slain the king: wherefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that
day in the camp.
and the people in the camp heard that Zimri had not only
conspired but had also struck down the king. So there in the camp that very
day, all Israel proclaimed Omri, the commander of the army, king over Israel.
In his
days did Hiel the Bethelite build
Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof in
Abiram his
firstborn, and set up the gates thereof in his youngest son Segub, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Joshua the son of
Nun.
In
Ahab’s
days, Hiel the Bethelite rebuilt
Jericho. At the cost of
Abiram his
firstborn he laid its foundation, and at the cost of Segub his youngest he set up its gates, according to the word that the LORD had spoken through Joshua son of
Nun.
For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the
cruse of oil fail, until the
day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.
for this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘The
jar of flour will not be exhausted and the
jug of oil will not run dry until the
day the LORD sends rain upon the face of the earth.’”
And she went and did according to the saying of
Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many
days.

Elijah, and there was food every
day for
Elijah and the woman and her household.
And it came to pass after many
days, that the word of the LORD came to

shew thyself unto
Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.

drought, the word of the LORD came to

yourself to

And
Elijah said, As the LORD of hosts liveth, before whom I stand, I will surely
shew myself unto him to
day.
Then
Elijah said, “As surely as the LORD of Hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will present myself to
Ahab today.”
And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that
Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this
day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.

But he himself went a
day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a
juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
while he himself traveled on a
day’s journey into the wilderness. He sat down under a
broom tree and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, LORD,” he said. “Take my life, for I am no better than my fathers.”
And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty
days and forty nights unto
Horeb the mount of God.
So he got up and
ate and
drank. And strengthened by that food, he walked forty
days and forty nights until he reached
Horeb, the mountain of God.
And, behold, there came a prophet unto
Ahab king of Israel, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thine hand this
day; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
Meanwhile a prophet approached
Ahab king of Israel and declared, “This is what the LORD says: ‘Do you see this entire great army? Behold, I will deliver it into your hand this very
day, and you will know that I am the LORD.’”
And they pitched one over against the other seven
days. And so it was, that in the seventh
day the battle was joined: and the children of Israel
slew of the Syrians an hundred thousand
footmen in one
day.
For seven
days the armies camped opposite each other, and on the seventh
day the battle
ensued, and the Israelites struck down the Arameans—a hundred thousand foot soldiers in one
day.
Seest thou how
Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his
days: but in his son’s
days will I bring the evil upon his house.
“Have you seen how
Ahab has humbled himself before Me? Because he has humbled himself before Me, I will not bring the
calamity during his
days, but I will bring it upon his house in the
days of his son.”

Jehoshaphat said unto the king of Israel,
Enquire, I pray thee, at the word of the LORD to
day.

day, when thou shalt go into an inner chamber to hide
thyself.

And the battle increased that
day: and the king was stayed up in his
chariot against the Syrians, and died at even: and the blood ran out of the wound into the midst of the
chariot.
The battle
raged throughout that
day, and the king was
propped up in his
chariot facing the Arameans. And the blood from his wound ran out
onto the floor of the
chariot, and that evening he died.

remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the
days of his father
Asa, he took out of the land.

And the sons of the prophets that were at
Bethel came forth to
Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to
day? And he said,
Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.
Then the sons of the prophets at
Bethel came out to
Elisha and said, “Do you know that the LORD will take your master away from you
today?” “
Yes, I know,” he replied. “Do not speak of it.”
And the sons of the prophets that were at
Jericho came to
Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to
day? And he answered,

Jericho came up to
Elisha and said, “Do you know that the LORD will take your master away from you
today?” “
Yes, I know,” he replied. “Do not speak of it.”
And when they urged him till he was
ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three
days, but found him not.
But when they pressed him to the point of
embarrassment, he said, “Send them.” And they sent fifty men, who searched for three
days but did not find
Elijah.
So the waters were
healed unto this
day, according to the saying of
Elisha which he spake.
And the waters there have been healthy to this
day, according to the word spoken by
Elisha.
So the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and the king of
Edom: and they
fetched a compass of seven
days’ journey: and there was no water for the host, and for the cattle that followed them.
So the king of Israel, the king of Judah, and the king of
Edom set out, and after they had traveled a
roundabout route for seven
days, they had no water for their army or for their animals.
And it fell on a
day, that
Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she
constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as
oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
One
day Elisha went to Shunem, and a prominent woman who lived there persuaded him to have a meal. So whenever he would pass by, he would stop there to eat.
And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there.
One
day Elisha came to visit and went to his upper room to lie down.
And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.
And the child grew, and one day he went out to his father, who was with the harvesters.
And he said, Wherefore
wilt thou go to him to
day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.
“Why would you go to him
today?” he replied. “It is not a New Moon or a Sabbath.” “Everything is all right,” she said.
And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to
day, and we will eat my son to
morrow.
Then the king asked her, “What is the matter?” And she answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Give up your son, that we may eat him, and
tomorrow we will eat my son.’
So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next
day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath
hid her son.
So we boiled my son and
ate him, and the next
day I said to her, ‘Give up your son, that we may eat him.’ But she had hidden her son.”
Then he said, God do so and more also to me, if the head of
Elisha the son of Shaphat shall stand on him this
day.
He
announced, “May God
punish me, and ever so severely, if the head of
Elisha son of Shaphat remains on his shoulders through this
day!”
Then they said one to another, We do not well: this
day is a
day of good
tidings, and we hold our peace: if we
tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.
Finally, they said to one another, “We are not doing what is right.
Today is a
day of good news. If we are silent and wait until morning light, our sin will overtake us. Now, therefore, let us go and tell the king’s household.”
And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.
When the king asked the woman, she confirmed it. So the king appointed for her an officer, saying, “Restore all that was hers, along with all the proceeds of the field from the day that she left the country until now.”
And it came to pass on the
morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and
dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and
Hazael reigned in his
stead.
But the next
day Hazael took a thick cloth,
dipped it in water, and spread it over the king’s face. So Ben-
hadad died, and
Hazael reigned in his place.
In his
days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and made a king over themselves.
In the
days of Jehoram,
Edom rebelled against the hand of Judah and appointed their own king.
Yet
Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this
day. Then
Libnah revolted at the same time.
So to this
day Edom has been in rebellion against the hand of Judah. Likewise,
Libnah rebelled at the same time.
And they
brake down the image of
Baal, and
brake down the house of
Baal, and made it a draught house unto this
day.
In those
days the LORD began to cut Israel short: and
Hazael smote them in all the coasts of Israel;
In those
days the LORD began to reduce the size of Israel.
Hazael defeated the Israelites throughout their territory
And Jehoash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all his
days wherein Jehoiada the priest
instructed him.
And
Joash did what was right in the eyes of the LORD all the
days he was
instructed by Jehoiada the priest.
And the anger of the LORD was
kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of
Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Ben-
hadad the son of
Hazael, all their
days.
So the anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and He delivered them continually into the hands of
Hazael king of
Aram and his son Ben-
hadad.
And the LORD was
gracious unto them, and had
compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.
But the LORD was
gracious to Israel and had
compassion on them, and He turned toward them because of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And to this
day, the LORD has been unwilling to destroy them or cast them from His presence.
He
slew of
Edom in the valley of salt ten thousand, and took
Selah by war, and called the name of it Joktheel unto this
day.
Amaziah struck down 10,000 Edomites in the Valley of Salt. He took Sela in battle and called it Joktheel, which is its name to this very
day.
And the LORD
smote the king, so that he was a
leper unto the
day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the house, judging the people of the land.
And the LORD
afflicted the king with
leprosy until the
day he died, so that he lived in a separate house while his son Jotham had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land.
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not all his
days from the sins of
Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, and throughout his reign he did not turn away from the sins that
Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit.
In the
days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and
Abel-beth-maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and
Gilead, and
Galilee, all the land of
Naphtali, and carried them
captive to Assyria.
In the
days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria came and captured Ijon,
Abel-beth-
maacah, Janoah, Kedesh, Hazor,
Gilead, and
Galilee, including all the land of
Naphtali, and he took the people as
captives to Assyria.
In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.
(In those
days the LORD began to send Rezin king of
Aram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.)
At that time Rezin king of Syria recovered
Elath to Syria, and
drave the Jews from
Elath: and the Syrians came to
Elath, and dwelt there unto this
day.
At that time Rezin king of
Aram recovered
Elath for
Aram, drove out the men of Judah, and sent the Edomites into
Elath, where they live to this
day.
Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.
Finally, the LORD removed Israel from His presence, as He had declared through all His servants the prophets. So Israel was exiled from their homeland into Assyria, where they are to this day.
Unto this day they do after the former manners: they fear not the LORD, neither do they after their statutes, or after their ordinances, or after the law and commandment which the LORD commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel;
To this day they are still practicing their former customs. None of them worship the LORD or observe the statutes, ordinances, laws, and commandments that the LORD gave the descendants of Jacob, whom He named Israel.
So these nations feared the LORD, and served their
graven images, both their children, and their children’s children: as did their fathers, so do they unto this
day.
So these nations worshiped the LORD but also served their idols, and to this day their children and grandchildren continue to do as their fathers did.
He removed the high places, and
brake the images, and cut down the groves, and
brake in pieces the
brasen serpent that Moses had made: for unto those
days the children of Israel did burn incense to it: and he called it
Nehushtan.
He removed the high places,
shattered the sacred pillars, and cut down the Asherah poles. He also
demolished the bronze
snake called
Nehushtan that Moses had made, for up to that time the Israelites had burned incense to it.
And they said unto him, Thus saith
Hezekiah, This
day is a
day of trouble, and of
rebuke, and
blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.
to tell him, “This is what
Hezekiah says:
Today is a
day of distress,
rebuke, and disgrace; for children have come to the point of birth, but there is no strength to deliver them.
Hast thou not heard long ago how I have done it, and of ancient times that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste
fenced cities into
ruinous heaps.
Have you not heard? Long ago I ordained it; in
days of old I
planned it. Now I have brought it to pass, that you should
crush fortified cities into piles of
rubble.
One
day, while he was worshiping in the temple of his god
Nisroch, his sons
Adrammelech and Sharezer put him to the sword and escaped to the land of
Ararat. And his son Esar-haddon reigned in his place.
In those
days was
Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
In those
days Hezekiah became
mortally ill. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz came to him and said, “This is what the LORD says: ‘Put your house in order, for you are about to die; you will not recover.’”
Turn again, and tell
Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will
heal thee: on the third
day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.
“Go back and tell
Hezekiah the leader of My people that this is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: ‘I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. I will surely
heal you. On the third
day from now you will go up to the house of the LORD.
And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.
I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for My sake and for the sake of My servant David.’”
And
Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will
heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third
day?
Now
Hezekiah had asked Isaiah, “What will be the sign that the LORD will
heal me and that I will go up to the house of the LORD on the third
day?”
Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD.
The time will surely come when everything in your palace and all that your fathers have stored up until this day will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the LORD.
Then said
Hezekiah unto Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou hast spoken. And he said, Is it not good, if peace and truth be in my
days?
But
Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of the LORD that you have spoken is good.” For he thought, “Will there not at least be peace and security in my lifetime?”
Because they have done that which was evil in my sight, and have
provoked me to anger, since the
day their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this
day.
because they have done evil in My sight and have
provoked Me to anger from the
day their fathers came out of Egypt until this
day.’”
Surely there was not
holden such a
passover from the
days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the
days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah;
No such
Passover had been observed from the
days of the judges who had governed Israel through all the
days of the kings of Israel and Judah.
In his
days Pharaoh-nechoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king
Josiah went against him; and he
slew him at
Megiddo, when he had seen him.
At the end of
Josiah’s reign, Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt marched up to help the king of Assyria at the Euphrates River. King
Josiah went out to
confront him, but Neco faced him and killed him at
Megiddo.
In his
days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and
Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.
And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth
day of the month, that
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about.
So in the ninth year of
Zedekiah’s reign, on the tenth
day of the tenth month,
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon marched against Jerusalem with his entire army. They
encamped outside the city and built a siege wall all around it.
And on the ninth day of the fourth month the famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.
By the ninth day of the fourth month, the famine in the city was so severe that the people of the land had no food.
And in the fifth month, on the seventh
day of the month, which is the
nineteenth year of king
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzar-adan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem:
On the seventh
day of the fifth month, in the
nineteenth year of
Nebuchadnezzar’s reign over Babylon, Nebuzaradan captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, entered Jerusalem.
And it came to pass in the seven and
thirtieth year of the captivity of
Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the
twelfth month, on the seven and
twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of
Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison;
On the twenty-seventh
day of the
twelfth month of the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Judah’s King
Jehoiachin, in the year Evil-merodach became king of Babylon, he released King
Jehoiachin of Judah from prison.
And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually before him all the days of his life.
So
Jehoiachin changed out of his prison clothes, and he
dined regularly at the king’s table for the rest of his life.
And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life.
And the king provided
Jehoiachin a daily portion for the rest of his life.
And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother’s name was Joktan.
Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided, and his brother was named Joktan.
And these written by name came in the
days of
Hezekiah king of Judah, and
smote their tents, and the habitations that were found there, and destroyed them utterly unto this
day, and dwelt in their rooms: because there was pasture there for their flocks.
These who were noted by name came in the
days of
Hezekiah king of Judah. They attacked the Hamites and Meunites there in their dwellings,
devoting them to destruction even to this
day. Then they settled in their place, because there was pasture for their flocks.
And they
smote the rest of the
Amalekites that were escaped, and dwelt there unto this
day.
and struck down the
remnant of the
Amalekites who had escaped. And they have lived there to this
day.
And in the
days of Saul they made war with the Hagarites, who fell by their hand: and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the east land of
Gilead.
During the
days of Saul they
waged war against the Hagrites, who were defeated at their hands, and they occupied the homes of the Hagrites throughout the region east of
Gilead.
All these were reckoned by
genealogies in the
days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the
days of
Jeroboam king of Israel.
All of them were reckoned in the
genealogies during the reigns of Jotham king of Judah and
Jeroboam king of Israel.
And the God of Israel
stirred up the spirit of
Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of
Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this
day.
So the God of Israel
stirred up the spirit of
Pul king of Assyria (that is, Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria) to take the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of
Manasseh into exile. And he brought them to Halah, Habor, Hara, and the river of Gozan, where they remain to this
day.
And the sons of
Tola; Uzzi, and Rephaiah, and Jeriel, and Jahmai, and Jibsam, and Shemuel, heads of their father’s house, to wit, of
Tola: they were
valiant men of might in their generations; whose number was in the
days of David two and twenty thousand and six hundred.
The sons of
Tola: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Shemuel, the heads of their families. In the
days of David, 22,600 descendants of
Tola were numbered in their
genealogies as mighty men of
valor.
And Ephraim their father
mourned many
days, and his brethren came to comfort him.
Their father Ephraim
mourned for many
days, and his relatives came to comfort him.
And their brethren, which were in their villages, were to come after seven days from time to time with them.
Their relatives came from their villages at fixed times to serve with them for seven-day periods.
And these are the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free: for they were employed in that work day and night.
Those who were musicians, the heads of
Levite families, stayed in the temple chambers and were
exempt from other duties because they were on duty
day and night.
And it came to pass on the
morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his sons fallen in mount
Gilboa.
The next
day, when the Philistines came to strip the dead, they found Saul and his sons fallen on Mount
Gilboa.
They arose, all the
valiant men, and took away the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to
Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak in
Jabesh, and fasted seven
days.
all their men of
valor set out and
retrieved the bodies of Saul and his sons and brought them to
Jabesh. And they buried their bones under the oak in
Jabesh and fasted seven
days.
Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a
valiant man of Kabzeel, who had done many acts; he
slew two
lionlike men of Moab: also he went down and
slew a lion in a pit in a
snowy day.
And Benaiah son of Jehoiada was a man of
valor from Kabzeel, a man of many exploits. He struck down two champions of Moab, and on a
snowy day he went down into a pit and killed a lion.
For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.
For at that time men came to David day after day to help him, until he had a great army, like the army of God.
And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.
They spent three days there eating and drinking with David, for their relatives had provided for them.
And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul.
Then let us bring back the ark of our God, for we did not inquire of Him in the days of Saul.”
And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzza: wherefore that place is called
Perez-uzza to this
day.
Then David became
angry because the LORD had
burst forth against Uzzah; so he named that place
Perez-uzzah, as it is called to this
day.
And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?
That day David feared God and asked, “How can I ever bring the ark of God to me?”
Then on that
day David delivered first this
psalm to
thank the LORD into the hand of
Asaph and his brethren.
On that
day David first committed to
Asaph and his brothers this song of
thanksgiving to the LORD:
Sing unto the LORD, all the earth;
shew forth from
day to
day his salvation.
Sing to the LORD, all the earth.
Proclaim His salvation
day after
day.
So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD
Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every
day’s work required:
So David left
Asaph and his brothers there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to minister there regularly according to the daily requirements,
For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.
For I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought Israel up out of Egypt until this day, but I have moved from tent to tent and dwelling to dwelling.

Furthermore I tell thee that the LORD will build thee an house.
and have done since the

But a son will be born to you who will be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side; for his name will be Solomon, and I will grant to Israel peace and quiet during his reign.
