dwelling,

dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a

snare to you.”

dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as
thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

whither I bring you to
dwell therein,
spue you not out.
You are therefore to keep all My statutes and ordinances, so that the land where I am bringing you to live will not
vomit you out.
Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy
convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your
dwellings.

And ye shall eat neither bread, nor
parched corn, nor green ears, until the
selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your
dwellings.

loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be
baken with
leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.
Bring two
loaves of bread from your
dwellings as a wave offering, each made from two-tenths of an
ephah of fine flour,
baked with
leaven, as the firstfruits to the LORD.
And ye shall
proclaim on the
selfsame day, that it may be an holy
convocation unto you: ye shall do no
servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your
dwellings throughout your generations.
On that same day you are to
proclaim a sacred assembly, and you must not do any regular work. This is to be a permanent statute wherever you live for the generations to come.
Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

And if a man sell a
dwelling house in a walled city, then he may
redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he
redeem it.
If a man sells a house in a walled city, he retains his right of
redemption until a full year after its sale; during that year it may be redeemed.
And if thy brother that
dwelleth by thee be
waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not
compel him to serve as a
bondservant:
If a
countryman among you becomes destitute and sells himself to you, then you must not force him into slave labor.
And if a
sojourner or stranger wax rich by thee, and thy brother that
dwelleth by him wax poor, and sell himself unto the stranger or
sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger’s family:
If a foreigner residing among you prospers, but your
countryman dwelling near him becomes destitute and sells himself to the foreigner or to a member of his clan,
And your
threshing shall reach unto the
vintage, and the
vintage shall reach unto the
sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and
dwell in your land safely.
Your
threshing will continue until the
grape harvest, and the
grape harvest will continue until
sowing time; you will have your fill of food to eat and will
dwell securely in your land.
And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not
abhor you.
And I will make My
dwelling place among you, and My soul will not
despise you.
And I will bring the land into
desolation: and your enemies which
dwell therein shall be
astonished at it.
And I will lay waste the land, so that your enemies who
dwell in it will be
appalled.
Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they
defile not their camps, in the midst
whereof I
dwell.
You must send away male and female alike; send them outside the camp so they will not
defile their camp, where I
dwell among them.”
And if a stranger shall
sojourn among you, and will keep the
passover unto the LORD; according to the
ordinance of the
passover, and according to the manner thereof, so shall he do: ye shall have one
ordinance, both for the stranger, and for him that was born in the land.
If a foreigner
dwelling among you wants to observe the
Passover to the LORD, he is to do so according to the
Passover statute and its ordinances. You are to apply the same statute to both the foreigner and the native of the land.’”
And see the land, what it is; and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;
See what the land is like and whether its people are strong or weak, few or many.
And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;
Is the land where they live good or bad? Are the cities where they dwell open camps or fortifications?
And they ascended by the south, and came unto
Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of
Anak, were. (Now
Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)
They went up through the Negev and came to
Hebron, where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the descendants of
Anak,
dwelled. It had been built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.
Nevertheless the people be strong that
dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of
Anak there.
Nevertheless, the people living in the land are strong, and the cities are large and fortified. We even saw the descendants of
Anak there.
The
Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the
Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the
Amorites,
dwell in the mountains: and the
Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I
sware to make you
dwell therein, save
Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of
Nun.
Surely none of you will enter the land in which I
swore to settle you, except
Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of
Nun.
Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of
Korah, Dathan, and
Abiram.
“Tell the congregation to move away from the
dwellings of
Korah, Dathan, and
Abiram.”
So they
gat up from the tabernacle of
Korah, Dathan, and
Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and
Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.
So they moved away from the
dwellings of
Korah, Dathan, and
Abiram. Meanwhile, Dathan and
Abiram had come out and stood at the entrances to their tents with their wives and children and infants.
And at the stream of the
brooks that goeth down to the
dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of Moab.
even the slopes of the wadis that extend to the site of Ar and lie along the border of Moab.”
For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
For I see them from
atop the rocky cliffs, and I watch them from the hills. Behold, a people
dwelling apart, not
reckoning themselves among the nations.
How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!
How lovely are your tents, O Jacob, your dwellings, O Israel!
And he looked on the
Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy
dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock.
Next he saw the
Kenites and lifted up an
oracle, saying: “Your
dwelling place is secure, and your nest is set in a
cliff.
But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall
dwell in the
fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
But we will arm ourselves and be ready to go
ahead of the Israelites until we have brought them into their place. Meanwhile, our little ones will remain in the fortified cities for protection from the inhabitants of the land.
And ye shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land, and dwell therein: for I have given you the land to possess it.
You are to take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.
But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall
vex you in the land wherein ye
dwell.
But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land before you, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides; they will
harass you in the land where you settle.
Command the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and ye shall give also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them.
“Command the Israelites to give, from the inheritance they will possess, cities for the Levites to live in and pasturelands around the cities.
And the cities shall they have to dwell in; and the suburbs of them shall be for their cattle, and for their goods, and for all their beasts.
The cities will be for them to live in, and the pasturelands will be for their herds, their flocks, and all their other
livestock.
So these things shall be for a statute of judgment unto you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
This will be a
statutory ordinance for you for the generations to come, wherever you live.
And ye shall take no satisfaction for him that is fled to the city of his refuge, that he should come again to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest.
Nor should you accept a
ransom for the person who flees to a city of refuge and allow him to return and live on his own land before the death of the high priest.
Defile not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit, wherein I
dwell: for I the LORD
dwell among the children of Israel.
Do not
defile the land where you live and where I
dwell. For I, the LORD,
dwell among the Israelites.”
And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of
Esau, which
dwell in
Seir; and they shall be afraid of you: take ye good
heed unto
yourselves therefore:
and command the people: ‘You will pass through the territory of your brothers, the descendants of
Esau, who live in
Seir. They will be afraid of you, so you must be very careful.
(As the children of
Esau which
dwell in
Seir, and the Moabites which
dwell in Ar, did unto me;) until I shall pass over Jordan into the land which the LORD our God giveth us.
just as the descendants of
Esau who live in
Seir and the Moabites who live in Ar did for us, until we cross the Jordan into the land that the LORD our God is giving us.”
Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;
Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses in which to dwell,
Are they not on the other side Jordan, by the way where the sun goeth down, in the land of the
Canaanites, which
dwell in the
champaign over against
Gilgal, beside the plains of Moreh?
Are not these mountains across the Jordan, west of the road toward the
sunset, in the land of the
Canaanites who live in the Arabah opposite
Gilgal near the Oak of Moreh?
For ye shall pass over Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God giveth you, and ye shall possess it, and dwell therein.
For you are about to cross the Jordan to enter and possess the land that the LORD your God is giving you. When you take possession of it and settle in it,
But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his
habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:
Instead, you must seek the place the LORD your God will choose from among all your tribes to establish as a dwelling for His Name, and there you must go.
But when ye go over Jordan, and
dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to
inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye
dwell in safety;
When you cross the Jordan and live in the land that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, and He gives you rest from all the enemies around you and you dwell securely,
Then there shall be a place which the LORD your God shall choose to cause his name to
dwell there; thither shall ye bring all that I command you; your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your
tithes, and the
heave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye
vow unto the LORD:
then the LORD your God will choose a
dwelling for His Name. And there you are to bring everything I command you: your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your
tithes and special gifts, and all the choice offerings you
vow to the LORD.
When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee,
whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and
dwellest in their land;
When the LORD your God cuts off before you the nations you are entering to dispossess, and you drive them out and live in their land,
If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,
If, regarding one of the cities the LORD your God is giving you to inhabit, you hear it said
And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the
tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.
And you are to eat a tenth of your grain, new wine, and oil, and the
firstborn of your herds and flocks, in the presence of the LORD your God at the place He will choose as a
dwelling for His Name, so that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always.
Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the
passover unto the LORD thy God, of the flock and the
herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there.
You are to offer to the LORD your God the
Passover sacrifice from the
herd or flock in the place the LORD will choose as a
dwelling for His Name.
But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the
passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.
You must only offer the
Passover sacrifice at the place the LORD your God will choose as a
dwelling for His Name. Do this in the evening as the sun sets, at the same time you departed from Egypt.
And thou shalt
rejoice before the LORD thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy
manservant, and thy
maidservant, and the
Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to place his name there.
and you shall
rejoice before the LORD your God in the place He will choose as a
dwelling for His Name—you, your sons and daughters, your menservants and maidservants, and the
Levite within your gates, as well as the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widows among you.
When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me;
When you enter the land that the LORD your God is giving you and have taken possession of it and settled in it, and you say, “Let us set a king over us like all the nations around us,”
When the LORD thy God hath cut off the nations, whose land the LORD thy God giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses;
When the LORD your God has cut off the nations whose land He is giving you, and when you have driven them out and settled in their cities and houses,
