Every
vow, and every binding oath to
afflict the soul, her husband may
establish it, or her husband may make it void.
But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day; then he establisheth all her vows, or all her bonds, which are upon her: he confirmeth them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them.
But if her husband says nothing to her from day to day, then he confirms all the vows and pledges that bind her. He has confirmed them, because he said nothing to her on the day he heard about them.

confirm His covenant that He
swore to your fathers even to this day.

A
lone witness is not sufficient to
establish any
wrongdoing or sin against a man, regardless of what
offense he may have committed. A matter must be
established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.
The LORD shall
establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath

today as His people, and He may be your God as He promised you and as He
swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Do ye thus requite the LORD, O
foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and
established thee?

Creator? Has He not made you and
established you?

weaned him. Only may the LORD
confirm His word.” So
Hannah stayed and
nursed her son until she had
weaned him.

kingship shall be
established. Now send for him and bring him to me, for he must surely die!”

And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy
bowels, and I will
establish his kingdom.

descendant after you, who will come from your own body, and I will
establish his kingdom.

And let thy name be
magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God over Israel: and let the house of thy servant David be
established before thee.

magnified forever when it is said, ‘The LORD of Hosts is God over Israel.’ And the house of Your servant David will be

Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an
everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.

established with me an
everlasting covenant, ordered and secured in every part. Will He not bring about my full salvation and my every desire?

today!”

Manasseh even took the carved Asherah pole he had made and set it up in the temple, of which the LORD had said to David and his son Solomon, “In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will
establish My Name

Now, O LORD God, let Your promise to my father David be fulfilled. For You have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.
Then will I
stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.

And it came to pass, when
Rehoboam had
established the kingdom, and had strengthened himself, he
forsook the law of the LORD, and all Israel with him.
After
Rehoboam had
established his sovereignty and royal power, he and all Israel with him
forsook the Law of the LORD.
So king
Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for
Rehoboam was one and forty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother’s name was Naamah an Ammonitess.
Thus King
Rehoboam established himself in Jerusalem. He was forty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city the LORD had chosen from all the tribes of Israel in which to put His Name. His mother’s name was Naamah the
Ammonite.

Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.
So the LORD established the kingdom in his hand, and all Judah brought him tribute, so that he had an abundance of riches and honor.
And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth,
Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be
established; believe his prophets, so shall ye
prosper.
Early in the morning they got up and left for the Wilderness of Tekoa. As they set out,
Jehoshaphat stood up and said, “Hear me, O people of Judah and Jerusalem. Believe in the LORD your God, and you will be
upheld; believe in His prophets, and you will succeed.”
Now when Jehoram was risen up to the kingdom of his father, he strengthened himself, and
slew all his brethren with the sword, and
divers also of the princes of Israel.
When Jehoram had established himself over his father’s kingdom, he strengthened himself by putting to the sword all his brothers along with some of the princes of Israel.
Now it came to pass, when the kingdom was
established to him, that he
slew his servants that had killed the king his father.

grasp,
Amaziah executed the servants who had murdered his father the king.

established a decree to make
proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beer-
sheba even to

So they
established a decree to
circulate a
proclamation throughout Israel, from
Beersheba to
Dan, that the people should come to keep the
Passover of the LORD, the God of Israel, in Jerusalem. For they had not observed it as a nation as prescribed.

idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever:
Manasseh even took the carved image he had made and set it up in the house of God, of which God had said to David and his son Solomon, “In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will
establish My Name
forever.
Then Jeremiah
lamented over
Josiah, and to this day all the choirs of men and women sing laments over
Josiah. They
established them as a statute for Israel, and indeed they are written in the Book of Laments.
The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year;
the Jews bound themselves to
establish the custom that they and their descendants and all who join them should not fail to
celebrate these two days at the appointed time each and every year, according to their regulation.
To
confirm these days of
Purim in their times appointed, according as
Mordecai the
Jew and
Esther the queen had
enjoined them, and as they had decreed for themselves and for their seed, the matters of the fastings and their cry.

confirm these days of
Purim at their appointed time, just as
Mordecai the
Jew and Queen

established them and had committed themselves and their descendants to the times of fasting and
lamentation.

Their descendants are established around them, and their offspring before their eyes.
Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be
established unto thee: and the light shall
shine upon thy ways.
Your decisions will be carried out, and light will
shine on your ways.
Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.
“Dominion and
awe belong to God; He
establishes harmony in the heights of heaven.
Then did he see it, and declare it; he prepared it,
yea, and searched it out.
then He looked at wisdom and
appraised it; He
established it and searched it out.

yea, he
doth establish them for ever, and they are
exalted.

forever.
Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but
establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and
reins.
Put an end to the evil of the wicked, but establish the righteous, O righteous God who searches hearts and minds.
But the LORD shall
endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.
But the LORD abides
forever; He has
established His throne for judgment.
For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.
He brought me up also out of an
horrible pit, out of the
miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and
established my goings.
He lifted me up from the pit of
despair, out of the
miry clay; He set my feet upon a rock, and made my footsteps firm.
As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will
establish it for ever.
Selah.
As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of the LORD of Hosts, in the city of our God: God will
establish her

Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall
establish her.
And it will be said of
Zion: “This one and that one were born in her, and the Most High Himself will
establish her.”
For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
For I have said, “Loving devotion is built up
forever; in the heavens You
establish Your faithfulness.”

establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations.
Selah.

established: mine arm also shall
strengthen him.
His seed also will I make to
endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
I will
establish his line
forever, his throne as long as the heavens
endure.
It shall be
established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven.
Selah.

establish thou the work of our hands upon us;

establish the work of our hands!

established; it cannot be moved.
