Whoever shows contempt for his
neighbor lacks judgment, but a man of understanding remains silent.
Even a
fool, when he
holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.

acquainting mine heart with wisdom; and to lay
hold on folly, till I might see what was that good for the sons of men, which they should do under the heaven all the days of their life.

worthwhile for men to do under heaven during the few days of their lives.
It is good that thou shouldest take

fragrance of your breath like apples,
Ah sinful nation, a people
laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have
forsaken the LORD, they have
provoked the
Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.

laden with iniquity, a
brood of evildoers, children of
depravity! They have
forsaken the LORD; they have
despised the
Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on Him.
And they shall go into the
holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to
shake terribly the earth.
Men will
flee to caves in the rocks and
holes in the ground, away from the terror of the LORD and from the
splendor of His majesty, when He rises to
shake the earth.
When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:
A man will seize his brother within his father’s house: “You have a

heap of
rubble.”
