And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon
Abram; and, lo, an
horror of great darkness fell upon him.
As the sun was setting,
Abram fell into a deep sleep, and suddenly great terror and darkness
overwhelmed him.
And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a
thicket by his
horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the
stead of his son.
Then Abraham looked up and saw behind him a ram in a
thicket, caught by its
horns. So he went and took the ram and offered it as a burnt offering in place of his son.

Edom.
Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan. They are the chiefs of the

Seir in the land of
Edom.
And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan’s sister was Timna.
The sons of Lotan were Hori and Hemam. Timna was Lotan’s sister.
These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah,

And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for
horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the
asses: and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year.
So they brought their
livestock to Joseph, and he gave them food in exchange for their
horses, their flocks and herds, and their
donkeys. Throughout that year he provided them with food in exchange for all their
livestock.
Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the
horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.
He will be a
snake by the road, a
viper in the path that bites the
horse’s heels so that its rider tumbles backward.
And there went up with him both
chariots and
horsemen: and it was a very great company.
Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of
Midian: and he led the flock to the
backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to
Horeb.
Meanwhile, Moses was
shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of
Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to
Horeb, the mountain of God.
Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the
horses, upon the
asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very
grievous murrain.
then the hand of the LORD will bring a severe plague on your
livestock in the field—on your
horses,
donkeys, camels, herds, and flocks.
But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the
horses and
chariots of Pharaoh, and his
horsemen, and his army, and overtook them
encamping by the sea, beside
Pi-hahiroth, before
Baal-zephon.
The Egyptians—all Pharaoh’s
horses and
chariots,
horsemen and troops—pursued the Israelites and overtook them as they camped by the sea near
Pi-hahiroth, opposite
Baal-zephon.
And I, behold, I will
harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his
chariots, and upon his
horsemen.
And I will
harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them. Then I will gain honor by means of Pharaoh and all his army and
chariots and
horsemen.
And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have
gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his
chariots, and upon his
horsemen.
The Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I am honored through Pharaoh, his
chariots, and his
horsemen.”
And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s
horses, his
chariots, and his
horsemen.
And the Egyptians
chased after them—all Pharaoh’s
horses,
chariots, and
horsemen—and followed them into the sea.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their
chariots, and upon their
horsemen.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, so that the waters may flow back over the Egyptians and their
chariots and
horsemen.”
And the waters returned, and covered the
chariots, and the
horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.
The waters flowed back and covered the
chariots and
horsemen—the entire army of Pharaoh that had
chased the Israelites into the sea. Not one of them survived.
Then
sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the
horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
Then Moses and the Israelites
sang this song to the LORD: “I will sing to the LORD, for He is highly
exalted. The
horse and rider He has thrown into the sea.
For the
horse of Pharaoh went in with his
chariots and with his
horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.
For when Pharaoh’s
horses,
chariots, and
horsemen went into the sea, the LORD brought the waters of the sea back over them. But the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground.
And
Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the
horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
And
Miriam sang back to them: “Sing to the LORD, for He is highly
exalted; the
horse and rider He has thrown into the sea.”
Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in
Horeb; and thou shalt
smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
Behold, I will stand there before you by the rock at
Horeb. And when you strike the rock, water will come out of it for the people to drink.” So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.
There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the
trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.
No hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot with arrows—whether man or beast, he must not live.’ Only when the ram’s horn sounds a long blast may they approach the mountain.”
And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the
trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp
trembled.
On the third day, when morning came, there was
thunder and
lightning. A thick cloud was upon the mountain, and a very loud blast of the ram’s
horn went out, so that all the people in the camp
trembled.
And when the voice of the
trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.
And as the sound of the ram’s
horn grew louder and louder, Moses spoke and God answered him in the
thunder.
And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the
trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood
afar off.
But if the ox were
wont to
push with his
horn in time past, and it hath been
testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death.
But if the ox has a habit of
goring, and its owner has been
warned yet does not restrain it, and it kills a man or woman, then the ox must be stoned and its owner must also be put to death.
And I will send
hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the
Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.
And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass.
Make a horn on each of its four corners, so that the horns are of one piece, and overlay it with bronze.
And thou shalt take of the blood of the
bullock, and put it upon the
horns of the altar with thy finger, and pour all the blood beside the bottom of the altar.
Take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger; then pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
A
cubit shall be the length thereof, and a
cubit the breadth thereof;
foursquare shall it be: and two cubits shall be the height thereof: the
horns thereof shall be of the same.
It is to be square, a
cubit long, a
cubit wide, and two cubits high. Its
horns must be of one piece.
And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, the top thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof; and thou shalt make unto it a crown of gold round about.
Overlay with pure gold the top and all the sides and
horns, and make a
molding of gold around it.
And Aaron shall make an
atonement upon the
horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make
atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto the LORD.
Once a year Aaron shall make
atonement on the
horns of the altar. Throughout your generations he shall make
atonement on it annually with the blood of the sin offering of
atonement. The altar is most holy to the LORD.”
And the children of Israel
stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount
Horeb.
And he made the incense altar of
shittim wood: the length of it was a
cubit, and the breadth of it a
cubit; it was
foursquare; and two cubits was the height of it; the
horns thereof were of the same.
He made the altar of incense out of
acacia wood. It was square, a
cubit long, a
cubit wide, and two cubits high. Its
horns were of one piece.
And he overlaid it with pure gold, both the top of it, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns of it: also he made unto it a crown of gold round about.
And he overlaid with pure gold the top and all the sides and
horns. Then he made a
molding of gold around it.
And he made the horns thereof on the four corners of it; the horns thereof were of the same: and he overlaid it with brass.
He made a horn at each of its four corners, so that the horns and altar were of one piece, and he overlaid the altar with bronze.
And the priest shall put some of the blood upon the
horns of the altar of sweet incense before the LORD, which is in the tabernacle of the congregation: and shall pour all the blood of the
bullock at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
The priest must then put some of the blood on the
horns of the altar of
fragrant incense that is before the LORD in the Tent of Meeting. And he is to pour out the rest of the bull’s blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
And he shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar which is before the LORD, that is in the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall pour out all the blood at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
He is also to put some of the blood on the horns of the altar that is before the LORD in the Tent of Meeting, and he must pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar of burnt offering at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out his blood at the bottom of the altar of burnt offering.
Then the priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar.
Then the priest is to take some of its blood with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
And the priest shall take of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar:
Then the priest is to take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger, put it on the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and pour out the rest of its blood at the base of the altar.
And he
slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the
horns of the altar round about with his finger, and
purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and
sanctified it, to make
reconciliation upon it.
Moses slaughtered the bull, took some of the blood, and applied it with his finger to all four
horns of the altar,
purifying the altar. He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it so that
atonement could be made on it.
And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he
dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the
horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:
The sons of Aaron brought the blood to him, and he
dipped his finger in the blood and applied it to the
horns of the altar. And he poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
And he shall go out unto the altar that is before the LORD, and make an
atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the
bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the
horns of the altar round about.
Then he shall go out to the altar that is before the LORD and make
atonement for it. He is to take some of the bull’s blood and some of the goat’s blood and put it on all the
horns of the altar.
Then shalt thou cause the
trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of
atonement shall ye make the
trumpet sound throughout all your land.
Then you are to sound the
horn far and wide on the tenth day of the seventh month, the Day of
Atonement. You shall sound it throughout your land.

Then the
Amalekites and
Canaanites who lived in that part of the hill country came down, attacked them, and routed them all the way to
Hormah.
And the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, journeyed from Kadesh, and came unto mount Hor.
After they had set out from Kadesh, the whole congregation of Israel came to Mount Hor.
And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in mount
Hor, by the coast of the land of
Edom, saying,
And at Mount
Hor, near the border of the land of
Edom, the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
Take Aaron and
Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount
Hor:
Take Aaron and his son
Eleazar and bring them up Mount
Hor.
And Moses did as the LORD commanded: and they went up into mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.
So Moses did as the LORD had commanded, and they
climbed Mount
Hor in the sight of the whole congregation.
And the LORD
hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered up the
Canaanites; and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place
Hormah.
And the LORD heard Israel’s
plea and delivered up the
Canaanites. Israel devoted them and their cities to destruction; so they named the place
Hormah.
And they journeyed from mount
Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of
Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.
Then they set out from Mount
Hor along the route to the Red Sea, in order to bypass the land of
Edom. But the people grew impatient on the journey
And Moab said unto the elders of
Midian, Now shall this company
lick up all that are round about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor was king of the Moabites at that time.
So the Moabites said to the elders of
Midian, “This
horde will
devour everything around us, as an ox licks up the grass of the field.” Since Balak son of Zippor was king of Moab at that time,
And they removed from
Bene-jaakan, and
encamped at
Hor-hagidgad.
They set out from
Bene-jaakan and camped at
Hor-haggidgad.
And they went from Hor-hagidgad, and pitched in Jotbathah.
They set out from Hor-haggidgad and camped at Jotbathah.
And they removed from Kadesh, and pitched in mount
Hor, in the edge of the land of
Edom.
They set out from Kadesh and camped at Mount
Hor, on the outskirts of the land of
Edom.
And Aaron the priest went up into mount
Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the
fortieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the first day of the fifth month.
At the LORD’s command, Aaron the priest
climbed Mount
Hor and died there on the first day of the fifth month, in the
fortieth year after the Israelites had come out of the land of Egypt.
And Aaron was an hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor.
Aaron was 123 years old when he died on Mount Hor.
And they departed from mount Hor, and pitched in Zalmonah.
And the Israelites set out from Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.
And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall point out for you mount Hor:
Your northern border will run from the Great Sea directly to Mount Hor,
From mount
Hor ye shall point out your border unto the entrance of
Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad:
and from Mount
Hor to Lebo-

(There are eleven days’ journey from
Horeb by the way of mount
Seir unto Kadesh-barnea.)
It is an eleven-day journey from
Horeb to Kadesh-barnea by way of Mount
Seir.
The LORD our God spake unto us in
Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount:
The LORD our God said to us at
Horeb: “You have stayed at this mountain long enough.
And when we departed from
Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which ye saw by the way of the mountain of the
Amorites, as the LORD our God commanded us; and we came to Kadesh-barnea.
And just as the LORD our God had commanded us, we set out from
Horeb and went toward the hill country of the
Amorites, through all the vast and
terrifying wilderness you have seen. When we reached Kadesh-barnea,
And the
Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and
chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in
Seir, even unto
Hormah.
Then the
Amorites who lived in the hills came out against you and
chased you like a
swarm of bees. They routed you from
Seir all the way to
Hormah.
The
Horims also dwelt in
Seir beforetime; but the children of
Esau succeeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their
stead; as Israel did unto the land of his possession, which the LORD gave unto them.
The
Horites used to live in
Seir, but the descendants of
Esau drove them out. They destroyed the
Horites from before them and settled in their place, just as Israel did in the land that the LORD gave them as their possession.)
As he did to the children of
Esau, which dwelt in
Seir, when he destroyed the
Horims from before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their
stead even unto this day:
just as He had done for the descendants of
Esau who lived in
Seir, when He destroyed the
Horites from before them. They drove them out and have lived in their place to this day.
Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in
Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
The day you stood before the LORD your God at
Horeb, the LORD said to me, “Gather the people before Me to hear My words, so that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach them to their children.”
Take ye therefore good
heed unto
yourselves; for ye saw no manner of
similitude on the day that the LORD spake unto you in
Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
So since you saw no form of any kind on the day the LORD spoke to you out of the fire at
Horeb, be careful
The LORD our God made a covenant with us in
Horeb.
The LORD our God made a covenant with us at
Horeb.
Moreover the LORD thy God will send the
hornet among them, until they that are left, and hide themselves from thee, be destroyed.
Moreover, the LORD your God will send the
hornet against them until even the survivors hiding from you have perished.
Also in
Horeb ye
provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was
angry with you to have destroyed you.
And what he did unto the army of Egypt, unto their
horses, and to their
chariots; how he made the water of the Red sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how the LORD hath destroyed them unto this day;
what He did to the Egyptian army and
horses and
chariots when He made the waters of the Red Sea
engulf them as they pursued you, and how He destroyed them completely, even to this day;
But he shall not multiply
horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply
horses:
forasmuch as the LORD hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.
But the king must not acquire many horses for himself or send the people back to Egypt to acquire more horses, for the LORD has said, ‘You are never to go back that way again.’
According to all that thou desiredst of the LORD thy God in
Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.
This is what you asked of the LORD your God at
Horeb on the day of the assembly, when you said, “Let us not hear the voice of the LORD our God or see this great fire anymore, so that we will not die!”
When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest
horses, and
chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
When you go out to war against your enemies and see
horses,
chariots, and an army larger than yours, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you.
The LORD shall cause thee to be
smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and
flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
The LORD will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will march out against them in one direction but
flee from them in seven. You will be an object of
horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.
You will become an object of
horror,
scorn, and
ridicule among all the nations to which the LORD will drive you.
These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in
Horeb.
These are the words of the covenant that the LORD commanded Moses to make with the Israelites in the land of Moab, in addition to the covenant He had made with them at
Horeb.
If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he
fetch thee:
Even if you have been banished to the
farthest horizon, He will gather you and return you from there.
And die in the mount
whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy people; as Aaron thy brother died in mount
Hor, and was gathered unto his people:
And there on the mountain that you
climb, you will die and be gathered to your people, just as your brother Aaron died on Mount
Hor and was gathered to his people.
His glory is like the
firstling of his
bullock, and his
horns are like the
horns of unicorns: with them he shall
push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of
Manasseh.
His majesty is like a
firstborn bull, and his
horns are like those of a wild ox. With them he will
gore the nations, even to the ends of the earth. Such are the myriads of Ephraim, and such are the thousands of
Manasseh.”
And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven
trumpets of rams
horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the
trumpets.
Have seven priests carry seven rams’ horns in front of the ark. Then on the seventh day, march around the city seven times, while the priests blow the horns.
And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s
horn, and when ye hear the sound of the
trumpet, all the people shall
shout with a great
shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall
ascend up every man straight before him.
And when there is a long blast of the ram’s
horn and you hear its sound, have all the people give a mighty
shout. Then the wall of the city will
collapse and all your people will charge straight into the city.”
And Joshua the son of
Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven
trumpets of rams’
horns before the ark of the LORD.
So Joshua son of
Nun summoned the priests and said, “Take up the ark of the covenant and have seven priests carry seven rams’
horns in front of the ark of the LORD.”
And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven
trumpets of rams’
horns passed on before the LORD, and
blew with the
trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them.
After Joshua had spoken to the people, seven priests carrying seven rams’
horns before the LORD advanced and
blew the
horns, and the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them.
And the armed men went before the priests that
blew with the
trumpets, and the rereward came after the ark, the priests going on, and blowing with the
trumpets.
While the
horns continued to sound, the armed troops marched
ahead of the priests who
blew the
horns, and the rear guard followed the ark.
And seven priests bearing seven
trumpets of rams’
horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually, and
blew with the
trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rereward came after the ark of the LORD, the priests going on, and blowing with the
trumpets.
And the seven priests carrying seven rams’
horns kept marching
ahead of the ark of the LORD and blowing the
horns. The armed troops went in front of them and the rear guard followed the ark of the LORD, while the
horns kept sounding.
And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests
blew with the
trumpets, Joshua said unto the people,
Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city.
After the seventh time around, the priests
blew the
horns, and Joshua commanded the people, “
Shout! For the LORD has given you the city!
So the people
shouted when the priests
blew with the
trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the
trumpet, and the people
shouted with a great
shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
So when the rams’
horns sounded, the people
shouted. When they heard the blast of the
horn, the people gave a great
shout, and the wall
collapsed. Then all the people charged straight into the city and captured it.
And the LORD
discomfited them before Israel, and
slew them with a great slaughter at
Gibeon, and
chased them along the way that goeth up to Beth-
horon, and
smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.
And the LORD threw them into confusion before Israel, who defeated them in a great slaughter at
Gibeon, pursued them along the
ascent to Beth-
horon, and struck them down as far as Azekah and Makkedah.
And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Beth-
horon, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel
slew with the sword.
As they fled before Israel along the descent from Beth-horon to Azekah, the LORD cast down on them large hailstones from the sky, and more of them were killed by the hailstones than by the swords of the Israelites.
Then
Horam king of
Gezer came up to help
Lachish; and Joshua
smote him and his people, until he had left him none remaining.
At that time
Horam king of
Gezer went to help
Lachish, but Joshua struck him down along with his people, leaving no survivors.
And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with
horses and
chariots very many.
So these kings came out with all their armies, a multitude as numerous as the sand on the
seashore, along with a great number of
horses and
chariots.
And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to
morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt
hough their
horses, and burn their
chariots with fire.
Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them, for by this time
tomorrow I will deliver all of them slain before Israel. You are to
hamstring their
horses and burn up their
chariots.”
And Joshua did unto them as the LORD
bade him: he
houghed their
horses, and burnt their
chariots with fire.
Joshua treated them as the LORD had told him; he
hamstrung their
horses and burned up their
