And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

forever...”

That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine,

Abram rich:

strap of a
sandal, or anything that belongs to you,
lest you should say, ‘I have made
Abram rich.’
And when the morning arose, then the angels
hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here;

At
daybreak the angels
hurried Lot along, saying, “Get up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away in the punishment of the city.”
And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.

anywhere on the plain!
Flee to the mountains, or you will be swept away!”
Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast
magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain,
lest some evil take me, and I die:
Your servant has indeed found favor in your sight, and you have shown me great kindness by
sparing my life. But I cannot run to the mountains; the
disaster will overtake me, and I will die.
And the men of the place asked him of his wife; and he said, She is my sister: for he feared to say, She is my wife;

Rebekah; because she was fair to look upon.

Rebekah, because she is so beautiful.”
And
Abimelech called Isaac, and said, Behold, of a
surety she is thy wife: and how saidst thou, She is my sister? And Isaac said unto him, Because I said,

Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of

smite me, and the mother with the children.

And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he
spilled it on the ground,

spill his seed on the ground so that he would not produce offspring for his brother.

And Judah said, Let her take it to her,

And there will I
nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine;
lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty.
And there I will provide for you, because there will be five more years of famine. Otherwise, you and your household and everything you own will come to
destitution.’
Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.
Come, let us deal
shrewdly with them, or they will increase even more; and if a war breaks out, they may join our enemies, fight against us, and leave the country.”
And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days’ journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God;
lest he fall upon us with
pestilence, or with the sword.
“The God of the Hebrews has met with us,” they answered. “Please let us go on a three-day journey into the wilderness to sacrifice to the LORD our God, or He may strike us with plagues or with the sword.”
And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said,
Lest peradventure the people
repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people,
lest they break through unto the LORD to
gaze, and many of them perish.

warn the people not to break through to see the LORD,
lest many of them perish.
And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD,
sanctify themselves,
lest the LORD break forth upon them.
Even the priests who approach the LORD must
consecrate themselves, or the LORD will break out against them.”
And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.
And the LORD replied, “Go down and bring Aaron with you. But the priests and the people must not break through to come up to the LORD, or He will break out against them.”

thereon.
And you must not go up to My altar on steps, lest your nakedness be exposed on it.’
I will not drive them out from before thee in one year;
lest the land become
desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
I will not drive them out before you in a single year; otherwise the land would become
desolate and wild animals would multiply against you.
They shall not dwell in thy land,
lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a
snare unto thee.
They must not remain in your land,
lest they cause you to sin against Me. For if you serve their gods, it will surely be a
snare to you.”
Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people:
lest I
consume thee in the way.
Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey. But I will not go with you, because you are a stiff-necked people; otherwise, I might destroy you on the way.”
Take
heed to
thyself,
lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land
whither thou goest,
lest it be for a
snare in the midst of thee:
Be careful not to make a treaty with the inhabitants of the land you are entering,
lest they become a
snare in your midst.
Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a
whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;
Do not make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, for when they
prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will
invite you, and you will eat their sacrifices.
And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto
Eleazar and unto
Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither
rend your clothes;
lest ye die, and
lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel,
bewail the burning which the LORD hath
kindled.
Then Moses said to Aaron and his sons
Eleazar and
Ithamar, “Do not let your hair become
disheveled and do not
tear your garments, or else you will die, and the LORD will be
angry with the whole congregation. But your brothers, the whole house of Israel, may
mourn on account of the fire that the LORD has
ignited.
And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,
lest ye die: for the
anointing oil of the LORD is upon you. And they did according to the word of Moses.
You shall not go outside the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, or you will die, for the LORD’s
anointing oil is on you.” So they did as Moses
instructed.
Do not drink wine nor strong drink, thou, nor thy sons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation, lest ye die: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations:
“You and your sons are not to drink wine or strong drink when you enter the Tent of Meeting, or else you will die; this is a permanent statute for the generations to come.
Do not
prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a
whore;
lest the land fall to
whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.
They shall therefore keep mine
ordinance,
lest they bear sin for it, and die therefore, if they
profane it: I the LORD do
sanctify them.
The priests must keep My charge,
lest they bear the guilt and die because they
profane it. I am the LORD who sanctifies them.
And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the vessels of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set forward; after that, the sons of
Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch any holy thing,
lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of
Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation.
When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy objects and all their
equipment, as soon as the camp is ready to move, the Kohathites shall come and do the carrying. But they must not touch the holy objects, or they will die. These are the
transportation duties of the Kohathites regarding the Tent of Meeting.
But they shall not go in to see when the holy things are covered, lest they die.
But the Kohathites are not to go in and look at the holy objects, even for a moment, or they will die.”
Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that ye be not
smitten before your enemies.
Do not go up, lest you be struck down by your enemies, because the LORD is not among you.
And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.
And he
warned the congregation, “Move away now from the tents of these wicked men. Do not touch anything that belongs to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins.”
And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said,
Lest the earth
swallow us up also.
At their
cries, all the people of Israel who were around them fled, saying, “The earth may
swallow us too!”
To be a
memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as
Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.
just as the LORD commanded him through Moses. This was to be a reminder to the Israelites that no outsider who is not a
descendant of Aaron should approach to offer incense before the LORD,
lest he become like
Korah and his followers.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a
token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.
The LORD said to Moses, “Put Aaron’s staff back in front of the Testimony, to be kept as a sign for the
rebellious, so that you may put an end to their
grumbling against Me,
lest they die.”
Neither must the children of Israel henceforth come
nigh the tabernacle of the congregation,
lest they bear sin, and die.
No longer may the Israelites come near to the Tent of Meeting, or they will
incur guilt and die.
And ye shall bear no sin by reason of it, when ye have
heaved from it the best of it: neither shall ye
pollute the holy things of the children of Israel,
lest ye die.
Once you have presented the best part of it, you will not
incur guilt because of it. But you must not
defile the sacred offerings of the Israelites, or else you will die.’”
And
Edom said unto him, Thou shalt not pass by me,
lest I come out against thee with the sword.
But
Edom answered, “You may not travel through our land, or we will come out and
confront you with the sword.”
And the LORD said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you;
lest ye be
smitten before your enemies.
But the LORD said to me, “Tell them not to go up and fight, for I am not with you to keep you from defeat by your enemies.”
Only take
heed to
thyself, and keep thy soul
diligently,
lest thou
forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and
lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;
Only be on your guard and
diligently watch
yourselves, so that you do not
forget the things your eyes have seen, and so that they do not slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and grandchildren.
that you do not act corruptly and make an
idol for
yourselves of any form or shape, whether in the likeness of a male or female,
And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
When you look to the heavens and see the sun and moon and stars—all the host of heaven—do not be
enticed to bow down and worship what the LORD your God has
apportioned to all the nations under heaven.
Take
heed unto
yourselves,
lest ye
forget the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a
graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.
Be careful that you do not
forget the covenant of the LORD your God that He made with you; do not make an
idol for
yourselves in the form of anything He has forbidden you.
Then
beware lest thou
forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of
bondage.
be careful not to
forget the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
(For the LORD thy God is a
jealous God among you)
lest the anger of the LORD thy God be
kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.
For the LORD your God, who is among you, is a
jealous God. Otherwise the anger of the LORD your God will be
kindled against you, and He will
wipe you off the face of the earth.
And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not
consume them at once,
lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.
The LORD your God will drive out these nations before you little by little. You will not be enabled to
eliminate them all at once, or the wild animals would multiply around you.
The
graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee,
lest thou be
snared therein: for it is an
abomination to the LORD thy God.
You must burn up the images of their gods; do not
covet the silver and gold that is on them or take it for
yourselves, or you will be ensnared by it; for it is
detestable to the LORD your God.
Neither shalt thou bring an
abomination into thine house,
lest thou be a
cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly
detest it, and thou shalt utterly
abhor it; for it is a
cursed thing.
And you must not bring any
detestable thing into your house, or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction. You are to utterly
detest and
abhor it, because it is set apart for destruction.
Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;
Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses in which to dwell,
Lest the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land which he promised them, and because he
hated them, he hath brought them out to
slay them in the wilderness.
Otherwise, those in the land from which You brought us out will say, ‘Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land He had promised them, and because He
hated them, He has brought them out to kill them in the wilderness.’
And then the LORD’S wrath be
kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and
lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.
or the anger of the LORD will be
kindled against you. He will shut the heavens so that there will be no rain, nor will the land yield its produce, and you will soon perish from the good land that the LORD is giving you.
Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.
He must not take many wives for himself,
lest his heart go
astray. He must not
accumulate for himself large amounts of silver and gold.
Lest the
avenger of the blood pursue the
slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and
slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he
hated him not in time past.
Otherwise, the
avenger of blood might pursue the
manslayer in a
rage, overtake him if the distance is great, and strike him dead though he did not deserve to die, since he did not intend any
harm.
And the officers shall speak unto the people, saying, What man is there that hath built a new house, and hath not dedicated it? let him go and return to his house,
lest he die in the battle, and another man
dedicate it.
Furthermore, the officers are to address the army, saying, “Has any man built a new house and not dedicated it? Let him return home, or he may die in battle and another man
dedicate it.
And what man is he that hath planted a
vineyard, and hath not yet eaten of it? let him also go and return unto his house,
lest he die in the battle, and another man eat of it.
Has any man planted a
vineyard and not begun to enjoy its fruit? Let him return home, or he may die in battle and another man enjoy its fruit.
And what man is there that hath
betrothed a wife, and hath not taken her? let him go and return unto his house,
lest he die in the battle, and another man take her.
Has any man become
pledged to a woman and not married her? Let him return home, or he may die in battle and another man marry her.”
And the officers shall speak further unto the people, and they shall say, What man is there that is fearful and
fainthearted? let him go and return unto his house,
lest his brethren’s heart
faint as well as his heart.
Then the officers shall speak further to the army, saying, “Is any man afraid or
fainthearted? Let him return home, so that the hearts of his brothers will not
melt like his own.”
Do not plant your
vineyard with two types of seed; if you do, the entire harvest will be
defiled—both the crop you plant and the fruit of your
vineyard.
For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.
For the LORD your God walks throughout your camp to protect you and deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy, lest He see anything unclean among you and turn away from you.
At his day thou shalt give him his
hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it:
lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee.
You are to pay his wages each day before
sunset, because he is poor and depends on them. Otherwise he may cry out to the LORD against you, and you will be guilty of sin.
Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed:
lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem
vile unto thee.
He may receive no more than forty lashes,
lest your brother be beaten any more than that and be
degraded in your sight.
Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations;
lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and
wormwood;
Make sure there is no man or woman, clan or tribe among you
today whose heart turns away from the LORD our God to go and worship the gods of those nations. Make sure there is no root among you that bears such poisonous and bitter fruit,
Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy,
lest their
adversaries should
behave themselves strangely, and
lest they should say, Our hand is high, and the LORD hath not done all this.
if I had not
dreaded the
taunt of the enemy,
lest their
adversaries misunderstand and say: ‘Our own hand has prevailed; it was not the LORD who did all this.’”
And she said unto them, Get you to the mountain,
lest the pursuers meet you; and hide
yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned: and afterward may ye go your way.
“Go to the hill country,” she said, “so that your pursuers will not find you. Hide
yourselves there for three days until they have returned; then go on your way.”
But keep away from the things devoted to destruction,
lest you
yourself be set apart for destruction. If you take any of these, you will set apart the camp of Israel for destruction and bring
disaster upon it.
This we will do to them; we will even let them live,
lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath which we
sware unto them.
This is how we will treat them: We will let them live, so that no wrath will fall on us because of the oath we
swore to them.”
And Joshua said unto all the people, Behold, this stone shall be a witness unto us; for it hath heard all the words of the LORD which he spake unto us: it shall be therefore a witness unto you, lest ye deny your God.
And Joshua said to all the people, “You see this stone. It will be a witness against us, for it has heard all the words the LORD has spoken to us, and it will be a witness against you if you ever deny your God.”
And the LORD said unto
Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands,
lest Israel
vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.
Then the LORD said to
Gideon, “You have too many people for Me to deliver
Midian into their hands,
lest Israel
glorify themselves over Me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’
Then he called
hastily unto the young man his armourbearer, and said unto him, Draw thy sword, and
slay me, that men say not of me, A woman
slew him. And his young man thrust him through, and he died.
He quickly called his
armor-bearer, saying, “Draw your sword and kill me,
lest they say of me, ‘A woman killed him.’” So
Abimelech’s
armor-bearer ran his sword through him, and he died.
And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto
Samson’s wife,
Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the
riddle,
lest we burn thee and thy father’s house with fire: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so?
So on the fourth day they said to
Samson’s wife, “
Entice your husband to explain the
riddle to us, or we will burn you and your father’s household to death. Did you
invite us here to
rob us?”
And the children of
Dan said unto him, Let not thy voice be heard among us,
lest angry fellows run upon thee, and thou lose thy life, with the lives of thy household.
The Danites said to him, “Do not raise your voice against us, or
angry men will attack you, and you and your family will lose your lives.”
And when they were come to the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant that was with him, Come, and let us return;
lest my father leave caring for the
asses, and take thought for us.
When they reached the land of Zuph, Saul said to his servant, “Come, let us go back, or my father will stop
worrying about the
donkeys and start
worrying about us.”
Now there was no smith found throughout all the land of Israel: for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make them swords or spears:
And no
blacksmith could be found in all the land of Israel, because the Philistines had said, “The Hebrews must not be allowed to make swords or spears.”
And Saul said unto the
Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the
Amalekites,
lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the
Kenites departed from among the
Amalekites.
And he
warned the
Kenites, “Since you showed kindness to all the Israelites when they came up out of Egypt, go on and get away from the
Amalekites. Otherwise I will
sweep you away with them.” So the
Kenites moved away from the
Amalekites.
And David
sware moreover, and said, Thy father certainly knoweth that I have found grace in thine eyes; and he saith, Let not
Jonathan know this,
lest he be
grieved: but truly as the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and death.
But David again
vowed, “Your father knows very well that I have found favor in your eyes, and he has said, ‘
Jonathan must not know of this, or he will be
grieved.’ As surely as the LORD lives and as you
yourself live, there is but a step between me and death.”
And David saved neither man nor woman alive, to bring
tidings to
Gath, saying,
Lest they should tell on us, saying, So did David, and so will be his manner all the while he dwelleth in the country of the Philistines.
David did not leave a man or woman alive to be brought to
Gath, for he said, “Otherwise they will report us, saying, ‘This is what David did.’” And this was David’s custom the whole time he lived in
Philistine territory.
And the princes of the Philistines were
wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his place which thou hast appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle,
lest in the battle he be an
adversary to us: for
wherewith should he
reconcile himself unto his master? should it not be with the heads of these men?
But the commanders of the Philistines were
angry with Achish and told him, “Send that man back and let him return to the place you assigned him. He must not go down with us into battle only to become our
adversary during the war. What better way for him to regain the favor of his master than with the heads of our men?
Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through
therewith;
lest these
uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and
abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was
sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
Then Saul said to his
armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and run it through me, or these
uncircumcised men will come and run me through and
torture me!” But his
armor-bearer was
terrified and refused to do it. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.
Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and
encamp against the city, and take it:
lest I take the city, and it be called after my name.
Now, therefore,
assemble the rest of the troops, lay siege to the city, and capture it. Otherwise I will capture the city, and it will be named after me.”
And the king said to
Absalom,
Nay, my son, let us not all now go,
lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him:
howbeit he would not go, but blessed him.
“No, my son,” the king replied, “we should not all go, or we would be a burden to you.” Although
Absalom urged him, he was not willing to go, but gave him his blessing.
Then said she, I pray thee, let the king remember the LORD thy God, that thou wouldest not suffer the revengers of blood to destroy any more, lest they destroy my son. And he said, As the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of thy son fall to the earth.
“Please,” she replied, “may the king
invoke the LORD your God to prevent the
avenger of blood from increasing the
devastation, so that my son may not be destroyed!” “As surely as the LORD lives,” he
vowed, “not a hair of your son’s head will fall to the ground.”
And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us
flee; for we shall not else escape from
Absalom: make speed to depart,
lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and
smite the city with the edge of the sword.
And David said to all the servants with him in Jerusalem, “Arise and let us
flee, or we will not escape from
Absalom! We must leave quickly, or he will soon overtake us,
heap disaster on us, and put the city to the sword.”
Now therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying,
Lodge not this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over;
lest the king be
swallowed up, and all the people that are with him.
Now send quickly and tell David, ‘Do not
spend the night at the fords of the wilderness, but be sure to cross over. Otherwise the king and all the people with him will be
swallowed up.’”
And David said to
Abishai, Now shall
Sheba the son of Bichri do us more
harm than did
Absalom: take thou thy lord’s servants, and pursue after him,
lest he get him
fenced cities, and escape us.
And David said to
Abishai, “Now
Sheba the son of Bichri will do us more
harm than
Absalom. Take your lord’s servants and pursue him, or he will find fortified cities and
elude us.”
And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master:
lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.
“Look now,” they said to
Elisha, “we your servants have fifty
valiant men. Please let them go and search for your master. Perhaps the Spirit of the LORD has taken him up and put him on one of the mountains or in one of the valleys.” “Do not send them,”
Elisha replied.
Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through
therewith;
lest these
uncircumcised come and
abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was
sore afraid. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
Then Saul said to his
armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and run it through me, or these
uncircumcised men will come and
torture me!” But his
armor-bearer was
terrified and refused to do it. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.
Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
So do not claim, ‘We have found wisdom; let God, not man,
refute him.’
That the
hypocrite reign not,
lest the people be ensnared.
that godless men should not rule or lay snares for the people.
Because there is wrath,
beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great
ransom cannot deliver thee.
Be careful that no one lures you with riches; do not let a large
bribe lead you
astray.
Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for
yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept:
lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.
So now, take seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and sacrifice a burnt offering for
yourselves. Then My servant Job will pray for you, for I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken accurately about Me, as My servant Job has.”
Kiss the Son,
lest he be
angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is
kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
Kiss the Son,
lest He be
angry and you perish in your rebellion, when His wrath ignites in an instant. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.
