Wherefore, though I might be
much bold in Christ to
enjoin thee that which is convenient,
So although in Christ I am bold enough to order you to do what is proper,
Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?
no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a beloved brother. He is especially beloved to me, but even more so to you, both in person and in the Lord.
Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
So He became as far superior to the angels as the name He has inherited is excellent beyond theirs.
Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain, because you are dull of hearing.
By so
much was Jesus made a
surety of a better testament.
Because of this oath, Jesus has become the
guarantee of a better covenant.
But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how
much also he is the
mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
Now, however, Jesus has received a much more excellent ministry, just as the covenant He mediates is better and is founded on better promises.
How
much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God,
purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
how
much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself
unblemished to God,
purify our consciences from works of death, so that we may serve the living God!
Not
forsaking the
assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but
exhorting one another: and so
much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us
encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Of how
much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath
trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant,
wherewith he was
sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done
despite unto the Spirit of grace?
How
much more severely do you think one deserves to be punished who has
trampled on the Son of God,
profaned the blood of the covenant that
sanctified him, and
insulted the Spirit of grace?
Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not
much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
Furthermore, we have all had earthly fathers who disciplined us, and we respected them. Should we not
much more submit to the Father of our spirits and live?
(For they could not
endure that which was commanded, And if so
much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a
dart:
For they could not bear what was commanded: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned.”
See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
See to it that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if the people did not escape when they refused Him who
warned them on earth, how
much less will we escape if we
reject Him who warns us from heaven?
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be
healed. The
effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth
much.
Therefore
confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be
healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power to prevail.
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
so that the
proven character of your faith—more precious than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they
allure through the lusts of the flesh, through
much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
With lofty but empty words, they appeal to the
sensual passions of the flesh and
entice those who are just escaping from others who live in error.
And I
wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look
thereon.
And I began to
weep bitterly, because no one was found worthy to open the
scroll or look inside it.
And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden
censer; and there was given unto him
much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
Then another angel, who had a golden
censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given
much incense to offer, along with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne.
How
much she hath
glorified herself, and lived
deliciously, so
much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
As
much as she has
glorified herself and lived in
luxury, give her the same measure of
torment and grief. In her heart she says, ‘I sit as queen; I am not a widow and will never see grief.’
And after these things I heard a great voice of
much people in heaven, saying,
Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
After this I heard a sound like the
roar of a great multitude in heaven,
shouting: “
Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God!
How long shall I
forbear them, into whom I have done so
much good?

much ungodliness hath it brought up unto this time? and how
much shall it yet bring forth until the time of
threshing come?

hasten above the most Highest: for thy
haste is in vain to be above him, for thou hast
much exceeded.
After this there passed by before me a
watery cloud, and sent down
much rain with a storm; and when the
stormy rain was past, the drops remained still.

didst so
much hate thy people, yet shouldest thou
punish them with thine own hands.

much glory
doth abide; therefore have they prayed for the weak.
I will tell thee a
similitude,
Esdras; As when thou askest the earth, it shall say unto thee, that it giveth
much mould
whereof earthen vessels are made, but little dust that gold cometh of: even so is the course of this present world.
For as the
husbandman soweth
much seed upon the ground, and planteth many trees, and yet the thing that is sown good in his season cometh not up, neither
doth all that is planted take root: even so is it of them that are sown in the world; they shall not all be saved.
Like as the
husbandman’s seed perisheth, if it come not up, and receive not thy rain in due season; or if there come too
much rain, and corrupt it:
In that thou hast humbled
thyself, as it becometh thee, and hast not judged
thyself worthy to be
much glorified among the righteous.
And when I spake these things in my heart, I looked back with mine eyes, and upon the right side I saw a woman, and, behold, she
mourned and
wept with a loud voice, and was
much grieved in heart, and her clothes were rent, and she had ashes upon her head.
And therefore fear not, let not thine heart be
affrighted, but go thy way in, and see the beauty and greatness of the building, as
much as thine eyes be able to see:
And then shalt thou hear as
much as thine ears may
comprehend.

much oppression; and it had the
governance of the world more than all the wings that had been.

forsake us, how
much better had it been for us, if we also had been burned in the midst of
Sion?
And there came
much people unto him,
whereof some were
glad, some were
sorry, and some of them were bound, and other some brought of them that were offered: then was I sick through great fear, and I
awaked, and said,
For as I conceive in mine understanding,
woe unto them that shall be left in those days and
much more
woe unto them that are not left behind!
For look how much the world shall be weaker through age, so much the more shall evils increase upon them that dwell therein.
Now therefore deal with me as seemeth best unto thee, and command my spirit to be taken from me, that I may be dissolved, and become earth: for it is profitable for me to die rather than to live, because I have heard false reproaches, and have
much sorrow: command therefore that I may now be delivered out of this distress, and go into the
everlasting place: turn not thy face away from me.
Now therefore, my son, love thy brethren, and
despise not in thy heart thy brethren, the sons and daughters of thy people, in not taking a wife of them: for in pride is destruction and
much trouble, and in
lewdness is decay and great want: for
lewdness is the mother of famine.
And fear not, my son, that we are made poor: for thou hast much wealth, if thou fear God, and depart from all sin, and do that which is pleasing in his sight.
Prayer is good with fasting and
alms and righteousness. A little with righteousness is better than
much with unrighteousness. It is better to give
alms than to lay up gold:
And
plenty of
victual for every man of the army, and very
much gold and silver out of the king’s house.
Then their God commanded them to depart from the place where they
sojourned, and to go into the land of Chanaan: where they dwelt, and were increased with gold and silver, and with very

array, and there shall not so

And I will lead thee through the midst of
Judea, until thou come before Jerusalem; and I will set thy throne in the midst thereof; and thou shalt drive them as sheep that have no
shepherd, and a dog shall not so

foreknowledge, and they were declared unto me, and I am sent to tell thee.

Almighty Lord for
evermore. And all the people said, So be it.
A little fountain became a river, and there was light, and the sun, and
much water: this river is

much water.

much by ancient histories, as ye may, if ye search what hath been wickedly done of late through the
pestilent behaviour of them that are
unworthily placed in authority.

much experience, she knoweth things of old, and conjectureth
aright what is to come: she knoweth the subtilties of speeches, and can
expound dark sentences: she foreseeth signs and wonders, and the events of seasons and times.

bide my leisure, and when I speak, they shall give good ear unto me: if I talk
much, they shall lay their hands upon their mouth.

gat not only this
hurt, that they knew not the things which were good; but also left behind them to the world a
memorial of their
foolishness: so that in the things wherein they
offended they could not so
much as be
hid.

With whose beauty if they being delighted took them to be gods; let them know how much better the Lord of them is: for the first author of beauty hath created them.
But if they were
astonished at their power and virtue, let them understand by them, how
much mightier he is that made them.
For if they were able to know so much, that they could aim at the world; how did they not sooner find out the Lord thereof?
For the
potter, tempering soft earth, fashioneth every vessel with
much labour for our service:
yea, of the same clay he maketh both the vessels that serve for clean uses, and likewise also all such as serve to the contrary: but what is the use of either sort, the
potter himself is the judge.
Notwithstanding his care is, not that he shall have
much labour, nor that his life is short: but striveth to
excel goldsmiths and silversmiths, and endeavoureth to do like the workers in brass, and counteth it his glory to make
counterfeit things.
Neither are they beautiful, so much as to be desired in respect of beasts: but they went without the praise of God and his blessing.
Only there appeared unto them a fire
kindled of itself, very
dreadful: for being

My son,
meddle not with many matters: for if thou
meddle much, thou shalt not be innocent; and if thou follow after, thou shalt not obtain, neither shalt thou escape by
fleeing.

haste, and is so
much the more behind.

clap his hands, and
whisper much, and change his countenance.

cheer, neither be
tied to the expence thereof.

hurt.

morrow will he ask it again: such an one is to be
hated of God and man.
Talk not
much with a
fool, and go not to him that hath no understanding:
beware of him, lest thou have trouble, and thou shalt never be
defiled with his
fooleries: depart from him, and thou shalt find rest, and never be disquieted with madness.
A man that useth
much swearing shall be filled with iniquity, and the plague shall never depart from his house: if he shall
offend, his sin shall be upon him: and if he acknowledge not his sin, he maketh a double offence: and if he
swear in vain, he shall not be innocent, but his house shall be full of
calamities.
Much experience is the crown of old men, and the fear of God is their glory.
A woman, if she maintain her husband, is full of anger,
impudence, and

instructed.
The talk of him that sweareth much maketh the hair stand upright; and their brawls make one stop his ears.

Neither
consult with a woman touching her of whom she is
jealous; neither with a
coward in matters of war; nor with a merchant concerning exchange; nor with a
buyer of selling; nor with an
envious man of
thankfulness; nor with an
unmerciful man touching kindness; nor with the
slothful for any work; nor with an
hireling for a year of finishing work; nor with an idle servant of
much business:
hearken not unto these in any matter of counsel.
Of exactness of balance and weights; or of getting much or little;

weary; for ye can never go far enough.

anointed, I have not taken any man’s goods, so
much as a
shoe: and no man did
accuse him.
