The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.
The fierce anger of the LORD will not turn back until He has fully accomplished the purposes of His heart. In the days to come you will understand this.
So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open:
Then I took the deed of purchase—the sealed copy with its terms and conditions, as well as the open copy—
And I gave the evidence of the
purchase unto
Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle’s son, and in the presence of the witnesses that
subscribed the book of the
purchase, before all the Jews that sat in the court of the prison.
and I gave this deed to
Baruch son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the sight of my cousin Hanamel and the witnesses who were signing the
purchase agreement and all the Jews sitting in the
courtyard of the guard.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the
purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an
earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.
“This is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: Take these deeds—both the sealed copy and the open copy of the deed of
purchase—and put them in a clay
jar to preserve them for a long time.
Now when I had delivered the evidence of the
purchase unto
Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed unto the LORD, saying,
After I had given the deed of
purchase to
Baruch son of Neriah, I prayed to the LORD:
Men shall
buy fields for money, and
subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD.
Fields will be purchased with silver, and deeds will be signed, sealed, and witnessed in the land of Benjamin, in the areas surrounding Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah—the cities of the hill country, the foothills, and the Negev—because I will restore them from captivity, declares the LORD.”
It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I
purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may
forgive their iniquity and their sin.
Perhaps when the people of Judah hear about all the
calamity I plan to bring upon them, each of them will turn from his wicked way. Then I will
forgive their iniquity and their sin.”
But the Chaldeans’ army
pursued after them, and overtook
Zedekiah in the plains of
Jericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him up to
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of
Hamath, where he gave judgment upon him.
But the army of the Chaldeans
pursued them and overtook
Zedekiah in the plains of
Jericho. They seized him and brought him up to
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of
Hamath, where he pronounced judgment on him.
There shall be no more praise of Moab: in
Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O
Madmen; the sword shall
pursue thee.
There is no longer praise for Moab; in
Heshbon they
devise evil against her: ‘Come, let us cut her off from nationhood.’ You too, O people of
Madmen, will be silenced; the sword will
pursue you.
Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against
Edom; and his
purposes, that he hath
purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations
desolate with them.
Therefore hear the plans that the LORD has drawn up against
Edom and the strategies He has devised against the people of Teman: Surely the little ones of the flock will be
dragged away; certainly their pasture will be made
desolate because of them.
Flee, get you far off, dwell deep, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith the LORD; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived a
purpose against you.
Run! Escape quickly! Lie low, O residents of Hazor,” declares the LORD, “for
Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has drawn up a plan against you; he has devised a
strategy against you.
Therefore hear ye the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Babylon; and his
purposes, that he hath
purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their
habitation desolate with them.
Therefore hear the plans that the LORD has drawn up against Babylon and the strategies He has devised against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the little ones of the flock will be
dragged away; certainly their pasture will be made
desolate because of them.
And the land shall
tremble and sorrow: for every
purpose of the LORD shall be performed against Babylon, to make the land of Babylon a
desolation without an inhabitant.
The earth quakes and writhes because the LORD’s intentions against Babylon stand: to make the land of Babylon a
desolation, without inhabitant.
But the army of the Chaldeans
pursued after the king, and overtook
Zedekiah in the plains of
Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
but the army of the Chaldeans
pursued the king and overtook
Zedekiah in the plains of
Jericho, and all his army was separated from him.
And the basons, and the firepans, and the
bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, took the captain of the guard away.
The captain of the guard also took away the basins, censers,
sprinkling bowls, pots, lampstands, pans, and drink offering
bowls—anything made of
pure gold or fine silver.
Judah is gone into captivity because of
affliction, and because of great
servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen, she findeth no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.
Judah has gone into exile under
affliction and harsh slavery; she dwells among the nations but finds no place to rest. All her
pursuers have overtaken her in the midst of her distress.
And from the daughter of
Zion all her beauty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the
pursuer.
All the
splendor has departed from the Daughter of
Zion. Her princes are like deer that find no pasture; they lack the strength to
flee in the face of the hunter.
The LORD hath
purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of
Zion: he hath stretched out a line, he hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying: therefore he made the
rampart and the wall to
lament; they
languished together.
The LORD determined to destroy the wall of the Daughter of
Zion. He stretched out a measuring line and did not withdraw His hand from destroying. He made the ramparts and walls
lament; together they waste away.
Thou hast covered with anger, and
persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not
pitied.
You have covered
Yourself in anger and
pursued us; You have killed without
pity.
Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the LORD.
You will
pursue them in anger and
exterminate them from under Your heavens, O LORD.
How is the gold become
dim! how is the most fine gold changed! the stones of the sanctuary are poured out in the top of every street.
How the gold has become
tarnished, the
pure gold has become dull! The
gems of the temple lie scattered on every street corner.
The precious sons of
Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as
earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the
potter!
How the precious sons of
Zion, once worth their weight in
pure gold, are now esteemed as jars of clay, the work of a
potter’s hands!
Her
dignitaries were brighter than snow, whiter than milk; their bodies were more
ruddy than
rubies, their appearance like sapphires.
Our persecutors are swifter than the eagles of the heaven: they pursued us upon the mountains, they laid wait for us in the wilderness.
Those who
chased us were swifter than the eagles in the sky; they
pursued us over the mountains and
ambushed us in the wilderness.
Our necks are under persecution: we labour, and have no rest.
We are closely
pursued; we are
weary and find no rest.
But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their
detestable things and their abominations, I will
recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord GOD.
But as for those whose hearts
pursue detestable things and abominations, I will bring their conduct down upon their own heads, declares the Lord GOD.”
And I will
purge out from among you the rebels, and them that
transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they
sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
And I will
purge you of those who
rebel and
transgress against Me. I will bring them out of the land in which they dwell, but they will not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
I will
disperse you among the nations and
scatter you throughout the lands; I will
purge your uncleanness.
Fine linen with
broidered work from Egypt was that which thou spreadest forth to be thy sail; blue and
purple from the isles of Elishah was that which covered thee.
Of
embroidered fine linen from Egypt they made your sail, which served as your
banner. Of blue and
purple from the coasts of Elishah they made your
awning.
Syria was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making: they occupied in thy fairs with emeralds,
purple, and
broidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and
agate.
Aram was your customer because of your many products; they exchanged
turquoise,
purple,
embroidered work, fine linen, coral, and
rubies for your wares.
And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they
shew much love, but their heart goeth after their
covetousness.
So My people come to you as usual, sit before you, and hear your words; but they do not put them into practice. Although they express love with their mouths, their hearts
pursue dishonest gain.
Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall
pursue thee:
sith thou hast not
hated blood, even blood shall
pursue thee.
therefore as surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, I will give you over to
bloodshed and it will
pursue you. Since you did not
hate bloodshed, it will
pursue you.
And thou shalt take of the blood thereof, and put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the settle, and upon the border round about: thus shalt thou
cleanse and
purge it.
You are to take some of its blood and put it on the four horns of the altar, on the four corners of the
ledge, and all around the
rim; thus you will
cleanse the altar and make
atonement for it.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the first month, in the first day of the month, thou shalt take a young
bullock without
blemish, and
cleanse the sanctuary:
This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘On the first day of the first month you are to take a young bull without
blemish and
purify the sanctuary.
But Daniel
purposed in his heart that he would not
defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he
drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not
defile himself.
But Daniel made up his mind that he would not
defile himself with the king’s food or wine. So he asked the chief official for permission not to
defile himself.
This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his
belly and his thighs of brass,
The head of the statue was
pure gold, its chest and arms were silver, its
belly and thighs were bronze,
The king
cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon,
Whosoever shall read this writing, and
shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.
The king called out for the enchanters, astrologers, and diviners to be brought in, and he said to these wise men of Babylon, “
Whoever reads this inscription and tells me its interpretation will be clothed in
purple and have a gold chain placed around his neck, and he will be made the third highest ruler in the kingdom.”
And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and
dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and have a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.
But I have heard about you, that you are able to give interpretations and
solve difficult problems. Therefore, if you can read this inscription and give me its interpretation, you will be clothed in
purple and have a gold chain placed around your neck, and you will be made the third highest ruler in the kingdom.”
Then commanded
Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a
proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
Then
Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel in
purple, placed a gold chain around his neck, and proclaimed him the third highest ruler in the kingdom.
And a stone was brought and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own
signet, and with the
signet of his lords; that the
purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.
A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own
signet ring and with the rings of his nobles, so that nothing concerning Daniel could be changed.
I
beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the
pure wool: his throne was like the
fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
As I continued to watch, thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took His seat. His clothing was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like
pure wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all
ablaze.
Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou
didst set thine heart to understand, and to
chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
“Do not be afraid, Daniel,” he said, “for from the first day that you
purposed to understand and to humble
yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in
response to them.
And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to
purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.
Some of the wise will fall, so that they may be refined,
purified, and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.
Many shall be
purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
Many will be
purified, made spotless, and refined, but the wicked will continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand.
And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.
She will pursue her lovers but not catch them; she will seek them but not find them. Then she will say, ‘I will return to my first husband, for then I was better off than now.’
Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him.
But Israel has rejected good; an enemy will pursue him.
Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and
desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.
Ephraim chases the wind and pursues the east wind all day long; he multiplies lies and violence; he makes a covenant with Assyria and sends olive oil to Egypt.
Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of
Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did
pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all
pity, and his anger did
tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
This is what the LORD says: “For three transgressions of
Edom, even four, I will not
revoke My judgment, because he
pursued his brother with the sword and
stifled all
compassion; his anger
raged continually, and his
fury flamed
incessantly.
Shall I count them
pure with the wicked balances, and with the
bag of
deceitful weights?
But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
But with an
overwhelming flood He will make an end of
Nineveh and
pursue His enemies into darkness.
Thou art of
purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal
treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
Your eyes are too
pure to look upon evil, and You cannot
tolerate wrongdoing. So why do You
tolerate the faithless? Why are You silent while the wicked
swallow up those more righteous than themselves?
For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.
For then I will restore pure lips to the peoples, that all may call upon the name of the LORD and serve Him shoulder to shoulder.
But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.
But did not My words and My statutes, which I commanded My servants the prophets, overtake your fathers? They
repented and said, ‘Just as the LORD of Hosts
purposed to do to us according to our ways and deeds, so He has done to us.’”
But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an
husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.
He will say, ‘I am not a prophet; I work the land, for I was purchased as a servant in my youth.’
For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
For My name will be great among the nations, from where the sun rises to where it sets. In every place, incense and pure offerings will be presented in My name, because My name will be great among the nations,” says the LORD of Hosts.
And he shall sit as a refiner and
purifier of silver: and he shall
purify the sons of Levi, and
purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
And He will sit as a refiner and
purifier of silver; He will
purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver. Then they will present offerings to the LORD in righteousness.
Whose
fan is in his hand, and he will throughly
purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the
garner; but he will burn up the
chaff with
unquenchable fire.

indignation, saying, To what
purpose is this waste?

indignant and asked, “Why this waste?
And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no
scrip, no bread, no money in their
purse:
He
instructed them to take nothing but a staff for the journey—no bread, no
bag, no money in their belts—
Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the
belly, and goeth out into the draught,
purging all meats?
because it does not enter his heart, but it goes into the stomach and then is
eliminated.” (Thus all foods are clean.)
And they clothed him with
purple, and
platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,
They dressed Him in a
purple robe, twisted together a crown of thorns, and set it on His head.
And when they had
mocked him, they took off the
purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to
crucify him.
After they had
mocked Him, they removed the
purple robe and put His own clothes back on Him. Then they led Him out to
crucify Him.
And when the days of her
purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;
And when the time of
purification according to the Law of Moses was complete, His parents brought Him to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord
Whose

Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not
baptized of him.
But the
Pharisees and experts in the law rejected God’s
purpose for themselves, because they had not been
baptized by John.

alms; provide
yourselves bags which wax not old, a

And he said unto them, When I sent you without
purse, and
scrip, and
shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you out without
purse or
bag or
sandals, did you lack anything?” “Nothing,” they answered.
Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a
purse, let him take it, and likewise his
scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and
buy one.
“Now, however,” He told them, “the one with a
purse should take it, and likewise a
bag; and the one without a sword should sell his
cloak and
buy one.

Passover.
Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? No, it is for this purpose that I have come to this hour.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit, and every branch that does bear fruit, He prunes to make it even more fruitful.

And now I say unto you,
Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to
nought:
So in the present case I
advise you: Leave these men alone. Let them go! For if their
purpose or
endeavor is of human origin, it will fail.
But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
But Peter replied, “May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could

Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was
glad, and
exhorted them all, that with
purpose of heart they would
cleave unto the Lord.
When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he
rejoiced and encouraged them all to
abide in the Lord with all their hearts.
For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
For when David had served God’s
purpose in his own generation, he fell
asleep. His body was buried with his fathers and saw decay.
And put no difference between us and them,
purifying their hearts by faith.
He made no distinction between us and them, for He
cleansed their hearts by faith.
And a certain woman named
Lydia, a seller of
purple, of the city of
Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
Among those
listening was a woman named
Lydia, a dealer in
purple cloth from the city of
Thyatira, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to
respond to Paul’s message.
After these things were ended, Paul
purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through
Macedonia and
Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.
After these things had happened, Paul resolved in the Spirit to go to Jerusalem after he had passed through
Macedonia and

Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
Therefore I
testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men.
Take
heed therefore unto
yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath
purchased with his own blood.
Keep watch over
yourselves and the entire flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be
shepherds of the church of God, which He
purchased with His own blood.
Them take, and
purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may
shave their heads: and all may know that those things,
whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou
thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.
Take these men,
purify yourself along with them, and pay their expenses so they can have their heads
shaved. Then
everyone will know that there is no truth to these rumors about you, but that you also live in obedience to the law.
Then Paul took the men, and the next day
purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to
signify the
accomplishment of the days of
purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.
So the next day Paul took the men and
purified himself along with them. Then he entered the temple to give notice of the date when their
purification would be complete and the offering would be made for each of them.
At the time they found me in the temple, I was
ceremonially clean and was not

But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
‘But get up and stand on your feet. For I have appeared to you to
appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen from Me and what I will show you.
