And the silver of them that were numbered of the congregation was an hundred talents, and a thousand seven hundred and
threescore and fifteen
shekels, after the
shekel of the sanctuary:
The silver from those numbered among the congregation totaled 100 talents and 1,775
shekels, according to the sanctuary
shekel—
A
bekah for every man, that is, half a
shekel, after the
shekel of the sanctuary, for every one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty men.
a beka per person, that is, half a
shekel, according to the sanctuary
shekel, from
everyone twenty years of age or older who had crossed over to be numbered, a total of 603,550 men.
And of the thousand seven hundred seventy and five
shekels he made hooks for the pillars, and overlaid their chapiters, and
filleted them.
With the 1,775 shekels of silver he made the hooks for the posts, overlaid their tops, and supplied bands for them.
And the brass of the offering was seventy talents, and two thousand and four hundred shekels.
The bronze from the wave offering totaled 70 talents and 2,400 shekels.
And they did beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, with
cunning work.
They hammered out thin
sheets of gold and cut threads from them to
interweave with the blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and fine linen—the work of a skilled
craftsman.
The table, and all the vessels thereof, and the
shewbread,
the table with all its utensils and the Bread of the Presence;
And if his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the
sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring it a male without
blemish.
If, however, one’s offering is a burnt offering from the flock—from the
sheep or goats—he is to present an
unblemished male.
If a soul commit a
trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of the LORD; then he shall bring for his
trespass unto the LORD a ram without
blemish out of the flocks, with thy
estimation by
shekels of silver, after the
shekel of the sanctuary, for a
trespass offering:
“If someone acts unfaithfully and sins
unintentionally against any of the LORD’s holy things, he must bring his guilt offering to the LORD: an
unblemished ram from the flock, of proper value in silver
shekels according to the sanctuary
shekel; it is a guilt offering.
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Ye shall eat no manner of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat.
“Speak to the Israelites and say, ‘You are not to eat any of the fat of an ox, a sheep, or a goat.
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then
she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her
infirmity shall
she be unclean.
“Say to the Israelites, ‘A woman who becomes
pregnant and gives birth to a son will be unclean for seven days, as
she is during the days of her
menstruation.
And
she shall then continue in the blood of her
purifying three and thirty days;
she shall touch no
hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the days of her
purifying be fulfilled.
The woman shall continue in
purification from her
bleeding for thirty-three days.
She must not touch anything sacred or go into the sanctuary until the days of her
purification are complete.
But if
she bear a
maid child, then
she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and
she shall continue in the blood of her
purifying threescore and six days.
If, however,
she gives birth to a daughter, the woman will be unclean for two weeks as
she is during her
menstruation. Then
she must continue in
purification from her
bleeding for sixty-six days.
And when the days of her
purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter,
she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young
pigeon, or a
turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest:
When the days of her
purification are complete, whether for a son or for a daughter,
she is to bring to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting a year-old lamb for a burnt offering and a young
pigeon or a
turtledove for a sin offering.
Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an
atonement for her; and
she shall be
cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female.
And the priest will present them before the LORD and make
atonement for her; and
she shall be
ceremonially cleansed from her flow of blood. This is the law for a woman giving birth, whether to a male or to a female.
And if
she be not able to bring a lamb, then
she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make an
atonement for her, and
she shall be clean.
But if
she cannot afford a lamb,
she shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering. Then the priest will make
atonement for her, and
she will be clean.’”
And in the place of the
boil there be a white rising, or a bright spot, white, and somewhat reddish, and it be
shewed to the priest;
and a white swelling or a reddish-white spot develops where the
boil was, he must present himself to the priest.
And if the plague be
greenish or reddish in the garment, or in the skin, either in the
warp, or in the
woof, or in any thing of skin; it is a plague of
leprosy, and shall be
shewed unto the priest:
And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood,
she shall be put apart seven days: and
whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.
When a woman has a discharge consisting of blood from her body,
she will be unclean due to her
menstruation for seven days, and
anyone who touches her will be unclean until evening.
And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.
Anything on which
she lies or sits during her
menstruation will be unclean,
And
whosoever toucheth any thing that
she sat upon shall wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
Whoever touches any furniture on which
she was sitting must wash his clothes and
bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening.
And if it be on her bed, or on any thing
whereon she sitteth, when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even.
And whether it is a bed or furniture on which
she was sitting,
whoever touches it will be unclean until evening.
And if a woman have an issue of her blood many days out of the time of her separation, or if it run beyond the time of her separation; all the days of the issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days of her separation: she shall be unclean.
When a woman has a discharge of her blood for many days at a time other than her
menstrual period, or if it continues beyond her period,
she will be unclean all the days of her unclean discharge, just as
she is during the days of her
menstruation.
Every bed
whereon she lieth all the days of her issue shall be unto her as the bed of her separation: and
whatsoever she sitteth upon shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her separation.
Any bed on which
she lies or any furniture on which
she sits during the days of her discharge will be unclean, like her bed during her
menstrual period.
But if
she be
cleansed of her issue, then
she shall number to herself seven days, and after that
she shall be clean.
When a woman is
cleansed of her discharge,
she must count off seven days, and after that
she will be
ceremonially clean.
And on the eighth day she shall take unto her two turtles, or two young pigeons, and bring them unto the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
On the eighth day she is to take two turtledoves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:
instead of bringing it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to present it as an offering to the LORD before His tabernacle—that man shall
incur bloodguilt. He has
shed blood and must be cut off from among his people.
The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
You must not
expose the nakedness of your father by having sexual relations with your mother.
She is your mother; you must not have sexual relations with her.
The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
You must not have sexual relations with your sister, either your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born in the same home or elsewhere.
The nakedness of thy father’s wife’s daughter,
begotten of thy father,
she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
You must not have sexual relations with the daughter of your father’s wife, born to your father; she is your sister.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s sister:
she is thy father’s near
kinswoman.
You must not have sexual relations with your father’s sister; she is your father’s close relative.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother’s sister: for
she is thy mother’s near
kinswoman.
You must not have sexual relations with your mother’s sister, for she is your mother’s close relative.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father’s brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife:
she is thine
aunt.
You must not dishonor your father’s brother by approaching his wife to have sexual relations with her;
she is your
aunt.
Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son’s wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
You must not have sexual relations with your daughter-in-law. She is your son’s wife; you are not to have sexual relations with her.
Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
You must not approach a woman to have sexual relations with her during her
menstrual period.
And
whosoever lieth
carnally with a woman, that is a
bondmaid,
betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her;
she shall be
scourged; they shall not be put to death, because
she was not free.
If a man lies
carnally with a slave
girl promised to another man but who has not been redeemed or given her freedom, there must be due punishment. But they are not to be put to death, because
she had not been freed.
And if a man shall take his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.
If a man marries his sister, whether the daughter of his father or of his mother, and they have sexual relations, it is a disgrace. They must be cut off in the sight of their people. He has uncovered the nakedness of his sister; he shall bear his iniquity.
And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
If a man lies with a
menstruating woman and has sexual relations with her, he has exposed the source of her flow, and
she has uncovered the source of her blood. Both of them must be cut off from among their people.
And for his sister a virgin, that is
nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be
defiled.
or his unmarried sister who is near to him, since she has no husband.
And the daughter of any priest, if
she profane herself by playing the
whore,
she profaneth her father:
she shall be burnt with fire.
If a priest’s daughter defiles herself by
prostituting herself,
she profanes her father;
she must be burned in the fire.
If the priest’s daughter also be married unto a stranger, she may not eat of an offering of the holy things.
If the priest’s daughter is married to a man other than a priest, she is not to eat of the sacred contributions.
But if the priest’s daughter be a widow, or
divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father’s house, as in her youth,
she shall eat of her father’s meat: but there shall no stranger eat thereof.
But if a priest’s daughter with no children becomes widowed or
divorced and returns to her father’s house,
she may share her father’s food as in her youth. But no outsider may share it.
Ye shall offer at your own will a male without
blemish, of the
beeves, of the
sheep, or of the goats.
must offer an
unblemished male from the cattle,
sheep, or goats in order for it to be accepted on your behalf.
When a man presents a peace offering to the LORD from the
herd or flock to
fulfill a
vow or as a
freewill offering, it must be without
blemish or defect to be acceptable.
Either a
bullock or a lamb that hath any thing
superfluous or lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer for a
freewill offering; but for a
vow it shall not be accepted.
When a
bullock, or a
sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the
dam; and from the eighth day and
thenceforth it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
“When an ox, a sheep, or a goat is born, it must remain with its mother for seven days. From the eighth day on, it will be acceptable as an offering made by fire to the LORD.
And whether it be cow or
ewe, ye shall not kill it and her young both in one day.
But you must not slaughter an ox or a sheep on the same day as its young.
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall
reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a
sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
“Speak to the Israelites and say, ‘When you enter the land that I am giving you and you
reap its harvest, you are to bring to the priest a
sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest.
And he shall wave the
sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the
morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
And he shall wave the
sheaf before the LORD so that it may be accepted on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath.
And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the
sheaf an he lamb without
blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.
On the day you wave the
sheaf, you shall offer a year-old lamb without
blemish as a burnt offering to the LORD,
And ye shall count unto you from the
morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the
sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the
sheaf of the wave offering, you are to count off seven full weeks.
And the
Israelitish woman’s son
blasphemed the name of the LORD, and
cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother’s name was
Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of
Dan:)
The son of the
Israelite woman
blasphemed the Name with a
curse. So they brought him to Moses. (His mother’s name was
Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of
Dan.)
And they put him in ward, that the mind of the LORD might be shewed them.
They placed him in
custody until the will of the LORD should be made clear to them.
The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while
she lieth
desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they
despised my judgments, and because their soul
abhorred my statutes.
For the land will be abandoned by them, and it will enjoy its Sabbaths by lying
desolate without them. And they will pay the penalty for their iniquity, because they rejected My ordinances and
abhorred My statutes.
And thy
estimation shall be of the male from twenty years old even unto sixty years old, even thy
estimation shall be fifty
shekels of silver, after the
shekel of the sanctuary.
if the
valuation concerns a male from twenty to sixty years of age, then your
valuation shall be fifty
shekels of silver, according to the sanctuary
shekel.
And if it be a female, then thy
estimation shall be thirty
shekels.
Or if it is a female, then your
valuation shall be thirty
shekels.
And if it be from five years old even unto twenty years old, then thy
estimation shall be of the male twenty
shekels, and for the female ten
shekels.
And if the person is from five to twenty years of age, then your
valuation for the male shall be twenty
shekels, and for the female ten
shekels.
And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy
estimation shall be of the male five
shekels of silver, and for the female thy
estimation shall be three
shekels of silver.
Now if the person is from one month to five years of age, then your
valuation for the male shall be five
shekels of silver, and for the female three
shekels of silver.
And if it be from sixty years old and above; if it be a male, then thy
estimation shall be fifteen
shekels, and for the female ten
shekels.
And if the person is sixty years of age or older, then your
valuation shall be fifteen
shekels for the male and ten
shekels for the female.
And if a man shall
sanctify unto the LORD some part of a field of his possession, then thy
estimation shall be according to the seed thereof: an homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty
shekels of silver.
If a man consecrates to the LORD a
parcel of his land, then your
valuation shall be proportional to the seed required for it—fifty
shekels of silver for every homer of barley seed.
And all thy estimations shall be according to the
shekel of the sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the
shekel.
Only the
firstling of the beasts, which should be the LORD’S
firstling, no man shall
sanctify it; whether it be ox, or
sheep: it is the LORD’S.
And concerning the
tithe of the
herd, or of the flock, even of
whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD.
Every tenth animal from the
herd or flock that passes under the
shepherd’s rod will be holy to the LORD.
And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of
Reuben; Elizur the son of
Shedeur.
These are the names of the men who are to assist you: From the tribe of
Reuben, Elizur son of
Shedeur;
Of
Simeon;
Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
from
Simeon,
Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai;
On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of
Reuben according to their armies: and the captain of the children of
Reuben shall be Elizur the son of
Shedeur.
On the south side, the divisions of
Reuben are to camp under their standard:
And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.
The leader of the Reubenites is Elizur son of Shedeur, and his division numbers 46,500.
And those which pitch by him shall be the tribe of
Simeon: and the captain of the children of
Simeon shall be
Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
The tribe of
Simeon will camp next to it. The leader of the Simeonites is
Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai,
Thou shalt even take five
shekels apiece by the
poll, after the
shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them: (the
shekel is twenty gerahs:)
you are to collect five
shekels for each one, according to the sanctuary
shekel of twenty gerahs.
Of the
firstborn of the children of Israel took he the money; a thousand three hundred and
threescore and five
shekels, after the
shekel of the sanctuary:
He collected the money from the
firstborn of the Israelites: 1,365
shekels, according to the sanctuary
shekel.
And upon the table of
shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put
thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the
bowls, and covers to cover
withal: and the continual bread shall be
thereon:
Over the table of the Presence they are to spread a blue cloth and place the plates and cups on it, along with the
bowls and pitchers for the drink offering. The regular bread offering is to remain on it.
And a man lie with her
carnally, and it be
hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and
she be
defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither
she be taken with the manner;
by sleeping with another man, and it is concealed from her husband and her impurity is undetected (since there is no witness against her and she was not caught in the act),
And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be
jealous of his wife, and
she be
defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be
jealous of his wife, and
she be not
defiled:
and if a feeling of jealousy comes over her husband and he suspects his wife who has
defiled herself—or if a feeling of jealousy comes over him and he suspects her even though
she has not
defiled herself—
And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if
she be
defiled, and have done
trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the
curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her
belly shall swell, and her
thigh shall
rot: and the woman shall be a
curse among her people.
When he has made her drink the water, if
she has
defiled herself and been unfaithful to her husband, then the water that brings a
curse will enter her and cause bitter suffering; her
belly will swell, her
thigh will
shrivel, and
she will become
accursed among her people.
And if the woman be not
defiled, but be clean; then
she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.
But if the woman has not
defiled herself and is clean,
she will be unaffected and able to conceive children.
