And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount
Sinai,
two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
When the LORD had finished speaking with Moses on Mount
Sinai, He gave him the
two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.
Then Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands. They were inscribed on both sides, front and back.
And the LORD said unto Moses,
Hew thee
two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.
Then the LORD said to Moses, “
Chisel out
two stone tablets like the originals, and I will write on them the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.
And he
hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount
Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the
two tables of stone.

chiseled out
two stone tablets like the originals. He rose early in the morning, and taking the
two stone tablets in his hands, he went up Mount
Sinai as the LORD had commanded him.
And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount
Sinai with the

Sinai with the
two tablets of the Testimony in his hands, he was unaware that his face had become
radiant from speaking with the LORD.

And there were eight boards; and their sockets were sixteen sockets of silver, under every board two sockets.
