All these were joined together in the
vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.
The latter five came as allies to the Valley of Siddim (that is, the Salt Sea).
And there went out the king of
Sodom, and the king of
Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of
Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the
vale of Siddim;
Then the king of
Sodom, the king of
Gomorrah, the king of Admah, the king of Zeboiim, and the king of
Bela (that is, Zoar) marched out and
arrayed themselves for battle in the
Valley of Siddim
And the
vale of Siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of
Sodom and
Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain.
Now the
Valley of Siddim was full of tar pits, and as the kings of
Sodom and
Gomorrah fled, some men fell into the pits, but the survivors fled to the hill country.
And the king of
Sodom went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of
Chedorlaomer, and of the kings that were with him, at the
valley of Shaveh, which is the king’s
dale.
After
Abram returned from defeating
Chedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of
Sodom went out to meet him in the
Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s
Valley).
And Isaac departed thence, and pitched his tent in the
valley of
Gerar, and dwelt there.
So Isaac left that place and
encamped in the
Valley of
Gerar and settled there.
And Isaac’s servants
digged in the
valley, and found there a well of springing water.
Then Isaac’s servants
dug in the
valley and found a well of fresh water there.
And he said to him, Go, I pray thee, see whether it be well with thy brethren, and well with the flocks; and bring me word again. So he sent him out of the
vale of
Hebron, and he came to
Shechem.
Then Israel told him, “Go now and see how your brothers and the flocks are faring, and bring word back to me.” So he sent him off from the
Valley of
Hebron. And when Joseph arrived in
Shechem,
And they came unto the
brook of
Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one
cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.
When they came to the
Valley of
Eshcol, they cut down a branch with a single
cluster of grapes, which they carried on a pole between two men. They also took some pomegranates and figs.
The place was called the
brook Eshcol, because of the
cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence.
Because of the
cluster of grapes the Israelites cut there, that place was called the
Valley of
Eshcol.
(Now the
Amalekites and the
Canaanites dwelt in the
valley.) To
morrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.
Now since the
Amalekites and
Canaanites are living in the
valleys, turn back
tomorrow and head for the wilderness along the route to the Red Sea.”
From thence they removed, and pitched in the valley of Zared.
From there they set out and camped in the Valley of Zered.
And from Bamoth in the
valley, that is in the country of Moab, to the top of
Pisgah, which looketh toward Jeshimon.
and from Bamoth to the
valley in Moab where the top of
Pisgah overlooks the wasteland.
As the
valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river’s side, as the trees of lign
aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as
cedar trees beside the waters.
They spread out like palm groves, like gardens beside a stream, like
aloes the LORD has planted, like cedars beside the waters.
For when they went up unto the
valley of
Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land which the LORD had given them.
For when your fathers went up to the
Valley of
Eshcol and saw the land, they discouraged the Israelites from entering the land that the LORD had given them.
And they turned and went up into the mountain, and came unto the
valley of
Eshcol, and searched it out.
They left and went up into the hill country, and came to the
Valley of
Eshcol and
spied out the land.
Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river
Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of
Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and
contend with him in battle.
“Arise, set out, and cross the
Arnon Valley. See, I have delivered into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of
Heshbon, and his land. Begin to take possession of it and
engage him in battle.
From Aroer, which is by the
brink of the river of
Arnon, and from the city that is by the river, even unto
Gilead, there was not one city too strong for us: the LORD our God delivered all unto us:
From Aroer on the
rim of the
Arnon Valley, along with the city in the
valley, even as far as
Gilead, not one city had walls too high for us. The LORD our God gave us all of them.
And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the
Amorites the land that was on this side Jordan, from the river of
Arnon unto mount
Hermon;
At that time we took from the two kings of the
Amorites the land across the Jordan, from the
Arnon Valley as far as Mount
Hermon—
And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river
Arnon, and half mount
Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites.
So at that time we took possession of this land. To the Reubenites and Gadites I gave the land beyond Aroer along the
Arnon Valley, and half the hill country of
Gilead, along with its cities.
And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from
Gilead even unto the river
Arnon half the
valley, and the border even unto the river
Jabbok, which is the border of the children of
Ammon;
and to the Reubenites and Gadites I gave the territory from
Gilead to the
Arnon Valley (the middle of the
valley was the border) and up to the
Jabbok River, the border of the
Ammonites.
So we abode in the valley over against Beth-peor.
So we stayed in the valley opposite Beth-peor.
On this side Jordan, in the
valley over against Beth-peor, in the land of Sihon king of the
Amorites, who dwelt at
Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel
smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt:
while they were in the
valley across the Jordan facing Beth-peor in the land of Sihon king of the
Amorites, who lived in
Heshbon and was defeated by Moses and the Israelites after they had come out of Egypt.
From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river
Arnon, even unto mount
Sion, which is
Hermon,
extending from Aroer on the
rim of the
Arnon Valley as far as Mount Siyon (that is,
Hermon),
For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of
brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of
valleys and hills;
For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of
brooks and fountains and springs that flow through the
valleys and hills;
But the land,
whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and
valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:
But the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks in the rain from heaven.
And the elders of that city shall bring down the
heifer unto a rough
valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike off the
heifer’s neck there in the
valley:
bring the
heifer to a
valley with running water that has not been
plowed or sown, and break its neck there by the stream.
And all the elders of that city, that are next unto the slain man, shall wash their hands over the
heifer that is
beheaded in the
valley:
Then all the elders of the city nearest the
victim shall wash their hands by the stream over the
heifer whose neck has been broken,
And the south, and the plain of the
valley of
Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.
the Negev, and the region from the
Valley of
Jericho (the City of Palms) all the way to Zoar.
And he buried him in a
valley in the land of Moab, over against Beth-peor: but no man knoweth of his
sepulchre unto this day.
And He buried him in a
valley in the land of Moab facing Beth-peor, and no one to this day knows the
location of his grave.
And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took
Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the
wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his
asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the
valley of
Achor.
Then Joshua, together with all Israel, took
Achan son of Zerah, the silver, the
cloak, the bar of gold, his sons and daughters, his oxen and
donkeys and sheep, his tent, and everything else he owned, and brought them to the
Valley of
Achor.
And they raised over him a great
heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The
valley of
Achor, unto this day.
And they
heaped over
Achan a large pile of rocks that remains to this day. So the LORD turned from His burning anger. Therefore that place is called the
Valley of
Achor to this day.
And all the people, even the people of war that were with him, went up, and drew
nigh, and came before the city, and pitched on the north side of
Ai: now there was a
valley between them and
Ai.
Then all the troops who were with him marched up and approached the city. They arrived in front of
Ai and camped to the north of it, with the
valley between them and the city.
And when they had set the people, even all the host that was on the north of the city, and their liers in wait on the west of the city, Joshua went that night into the midst of the valley.
So the forces were stationed with the main camp to the north of the city and the rear guard to the west of the city. And that night Joshua went into the valley.
And it came to pass, when all the kings which were on this side Jordan, in the hills, and in the
valleys, and in all the coasts of the great sea over against
Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the
Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, heard thereof;
Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the
Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon
Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the
valley of Ajalon.
On the day that the LORD gave the
Amorites over to the Israelites, Joshua spoke to the LORD in the presence of Israel: “O sun, stand still over
Gibeon, O moon, over the
Valley of
Aijalon.”
And to the kings that were on the north of the mountains, and of the plains south of Chinneroth, and in the
valley, and in the borders of
Dor on the west,
to the kings of the north in the mountains, in the Arabah south of Chinnereth, in the foothills, and in Naphoth-
dor to the west;
And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who
smote them, and
chased them unto great Zidon, and unto Misrephoth-
maim, and unto the
valley of Mizpeh eastward; and they
smote them, until they left them none remaining.
and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who struck them down and pursued them all the way to Greater
Sidon and Misrephoth-
maim, and eastward as far as the
Valley of Mizpeh. They struck them down, leaving no survivors.
So Joshua took all that land, the hills, and all the south country, and all the land of
Goshen, and the
valley, and the plain, and the mountain of Israel, and the
valley of the same;
So Joshua took this entire region: the hill country, all the Negev, all the land of
Goshen, the western foothills, the Arabah, and the mountains of Israel and their foothills,
Even from the mount Halak, that goeth up to
Seir, even unto
Baal-
gad in the
valley of
Lebanon under mount
Hermon: and all their kings he took, and
smote them, and
slew them.
from Mount Halak, which rises toward
Seir, as far as
Baal-
gad in the
Valley of
Lebanon at the foot of Mount
Hermon. He captured all their kings and struck them down, putting them to death.
Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel
smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river
Arnon unto mount
Hermon, and all the plain on the east:
Now these are the kings of the land whom the Israelites struck down and whose lands they took beyond the Jordan to the east, from the
Arnon Valley to Mount
Hermon, including all the Arabah eastward:
Sihon king of the
Amorites, who dwelt in
Heshbon, and ruled from Aroer, which is upon the bank of the river
Arnon, and from the middle of the river, and from half
Gilead, even unto the river
Jabbok, which is the border of the children of
Ammon;
And these are the kings of the country which Joshua and the children of Israel
smote on this side Jordan on the west, from
Baal-
gad in the
valley of
Lebanon even unto the mount Halak, that goeth up to
Seir; which Joshua gave unto the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions;
And these are the kings of the land that Joshua and the Israelites conquered beyond the Jordan to the west, from
Baal-
gad in the
Valley of
Lebanon to Mount Halak, which rises toward
Seir (according to the allotments to the tribes of Israel, Joshua gave them as an inheritance
In the mountains, and in the
valleys, and in the plains, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south country; the
Hittites, the
Amorites, and the
Canaanites, the
Perizzites, the
Hivites, and the Jebusites:
the hill country, the foothills, the Arabah, the slopes, the wilderness, and the Negev—the lands of the
Hittites,
Amorites,
Canaanites,
Perizzites,
Hivites, and Jebusites):
From Aroer, that is upon the bank of the river
Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon;
The area from Aroer on the
rim of the
Arnon Valley, along with the city in the middle of the
valley, the whole plateau of Medeba as far as Dibon,
And their coast was from Aroer, that is on the bank of the river
Arnon, and the city that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain by Medeba;
The territory from Aroer on the
rim of the
Arnon Valley, along with the city in the middle of the
valley, to the whole plateau beyond Medeba,
And Kirjathaim, and Sibmah, and Zareth-shahar in the mount of the valley,
Kiriathaim, Sibmah, Zereth-shahar on the hill in the valley,
And in the
valley, Beth-
aram, and Beth-nimrah, and Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of
Heshbon, Jordan and his border, even unto the edge of the sea of Chinnereth on the other side Jordan eastward.
and in the
valley, Beth-haram, Beth-nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, with the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of
Heshbon (the territory on the east side of the Jordan up to the edge of the Sea of Chinnereth).
And the border went up toward Debir from the
valley of
Achor, and so northward, looking toward
Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of En-shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at En-rogel:
Then the border went up to Debir from the
Valley of
Achor, turning north to
Gilgal, which faces the
Ascent of Adummim south of the
ravine. It continued along the waters of En-shemesh and came out at En-rogel.
And the border went up by the
valley of the son of
Hinnom unto the south side of the Jebusite; the same is Jerusalem: and the border went up to the top of the mountain that lieth before the
valley of
Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the
valley of the giants northward:
From there the border went up the
Valley of
Hinnom along the southern slope of the Jebusites (that is, Jerusalem) and ascended to the top of the hill that faces the
Valley of
Hinnom on the west, at the northern end of the
Valley of
Rephaim.
And in the valley, Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,
These were in the foothills:
And the children of Joseph said, The hill is not enough for us: and all the
Canaanites that dwell in the land of the
valley have
chariots of iron, both they who are of Beth-shean and her towns, and they who are of the
valley of
Jezreel.
“The hill country is not enough for us,” they replied, “and all the
Canaanites who live in the
valley have iron
chariots, both in Beth-shean with its towns and in the
Valley of
Jezreel.”
And the border came down to the end of the mountain that lieth before the
valley of the son of
Hinnom, and which is in the
valley of the giants on the north, and descended to the
valley of
Hinnom, to the side of Jebusi on the south, and descended to En-rogel,
Then it went down to the foot of the hill that faces the
Valley of
Hinnom at the northern end of the
Valley of
Rephaim and ran down the
Valley of
Hinnom toward the southern slope of the Jebusites and
downward to En-rogel.
And passed along toward the side over against Arabah northward, and went down unto Arabah:
Then it went on to the northern slope of Beth-arabah and went down into the valley.
Now the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin according to their families were
Jericho, and Beth-hoglah, and the
valley of Keziz,
These were the cities of the clans of the tribe of Benjamin:
And the border compasseth it on the north side to Hannathon: and the outgoings thereof are in the valley of Jiphthah-el:
Then the border circled around the north side of Neah to Hannathon and ended at the Valley of Iphtah-el.
And turneth toward the
sunrising to Beth-
dagon, and reacheth to
Zebulun, and to the
valley of Jiphthah-el toward the north side of Beth-emek, and Neiel, and goeth out to
Cabul on the left hand,
then turned eastward toward Beth-
dagon, touched
Zebulun and the
Valley of Iphtah-el, and went north to Beth-emek and Neiel, passing
Cabul on the left.
And afterward the children of Judah went down to fight against the
Canaanites, that dwelt in the mountain, and in the south, and in the
valley.
Afterward, the men of Judah marched down to fight against the
Canaanites living in the hill country, in the Negev, and in the foothills.
And the LORD was with Judah; and he
drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the
valley, because they had
chariots of iron.
The LORD was with Judah, and they took possession of the hill country; but they could not drive out the inhabitants of the plains because they had
chariots of iron.
And the
Amorites forced the children of
Dan into the mountain: for they would not suffer them to come down to the
valley:
The
Amorites forced the Danites into the hill country and did not allow them to come down into the plain.
And the princes of
Issachar were with
Deborah; even
Issachar, and also
Barak: he was sent on foot into the
valley. For the divisions of
Reuben there were great thoughts of heart.
Then all the Midianites and the
Amalekites and the children of the east were gathered together, and went over, and pitched in the
valley of
Jezreel.
Then all the Midianites,
Amalekites, and other people of the east gathered together, crossed over the Jordan, and camped in the
Valley of
Jezreel.
Then Jerubbaal, who is
Gideon, and all the people that were with him, rose up early, and pitched beside the well of Harod: so that the host of the Midianites were on the north side of them, by the hill of Moreh, in the
valley.
Early in the morning Jerubbaal (that is,
Gideon) and all the men with him camped beside the spring of Harod. And the camp of
Midian was north of them in the
valley near the hill of Moreh.
So the people took
victuals in their hand, and their
trumpets: and he sent all the rest of Israel every man unto his tent, and retained those three hundred men: and the host of
Midian was beneath him in the
valley.
So
Gideon sent the rest of the Israelites to their tents but kept the three hundred men, who took charge of the provisions and rams’ horns of the others. And the camp of
Midian lay below him in the
valley.
And the Midianites and the
Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the
valley like grasshoppers for multitude; and their camels were without number, as the sand by the sea side for multitude.
Now the Midianites,
Amalekites, and all the other people of the east had settled in the
valley like a
swarm of locusts, and their camels were as countless as the sand on the
seashore.
And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the
valley of Sorek, whose name was
Delilah.
Some time later,
Samson fell in love with a woman in the
Valley of Sorek, whose name was
Delilah.
And there was no deliverer, because it was far from Zidon, and they had no business with any man; and it was in the valley that lieth by Beth-rehob. And they built a city, and dwelt therein.
There was no one to deliver them, because the city was far from
Sidon and had no alliance with
anyone; it was in a
valley near Beth-rehob. And the Danites rebuilt the city and lived there.
And they of Beth-shemesh were
reaping their wheat harvest in the
valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and
rejoiced to see it.
Now the people of Beth-shemesh were harvesting wheat in the valley, and when they looked up and saw the ark, they were overjoyed at the sight.
And another company turned the way to Beth-horon: and another company turned to the way of the border that looketh to the
valley of
Zeboim toward the wilderness.
another toward Beth-horon, and the third down the border road overlooking the
Valley of
Zeboim facing the wilderness.
And Saul came to a city of Amalek, and laid wait in the valley.
Saul came to the city of Amalek and lay in wait in the valley.
And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the
valley of Elah, and set the battle in
array against the Philistines.
Saul and the men of Israel assembled and camped in the
Valley of Elah,
arraying themselves for battle against the Philistines.
And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them.
The Philistines stood on one hill and the Israelites stood on another, with the valley between them.
Now Saul, and they, and all the men of Israel, were in the valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.
They are with Saul and all the men of Israel in the Valley of Elah, fighting against the Philistines.”
And the men of Israel and of Judah arose, and
shouted, and pursued the Philistines, until thou come to the
valley, and to the gates of
Ekron. And the wounded of the Philistines fell down by the way to Shaaraim, even unto
Gath, and unto
Ekron.
Then the men of Israel and Judah charged forward with a
shout and pursued the Philistines to the entrance of
Gath and to the gates of
Ekron. And the bodies of the Philistines were
strewn along the Shaaraim road to
Gath and
Ekron.
And the priest said, The sword of
Goliath the
Philistine, whom thou slewest in the
valley of Elah, behold, it is here
wrapped in a cloth behind the
ephod: if thou
wilt take that, take it: for there is no other save that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it me.
The priest replied, “The sword of
Goliath the
Philistine, whom you killed in the
Valley of Elah, is here; it is
wrapped in a cloth behind the
ephod. If you want, you may take it. For there is no other but this one.” And David said, “There is none like it; give it to me.”
And when the men of Israel that were on the other side of the
valley, and they that were on the other side Jordan, saw that the men of Israel fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, they
forsook the cities, and fled; and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
When the Israelites along the valley and those on the other side of the Jordan saw that the army of Israel had fled and that Saul and his sons had died, they abandoned their cities and ran away. So the Philistines came and occupied their cities.
The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the
valley of
Rephaim.
Now the Philistines had come and spread out in the
Valley of
Rephaim.
And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the
valley of
Rephaim.
Once again the Philistines came up and spread out in the
Valley of
Rephaim.
And David
gat him a name when he returned from
smiting of the Syrians in the
valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men.
And David made a name for himself when he returned from striking down eighteen thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.
And all the country
wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over: the king also himself passed over the
brook Kidron, and all the people passed over, toward the way of the wilderness.
Everyone in the
countryside was
weeping loudly as all the people passed by. And as the king crossed the Kidron
Valley, all the people also passed toward the way of the wilderness.
Moreover, if he be
gotten into a city, then shall all Israel bring ropes to that city, and we will draw it into the river, until there be not one small stone found there.
If he retreats to a city, all Israel will bring ropes to that city, and we will
drag it down to the
valley until not even a
pebble can be found.”
Now
Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself a
pillar, which is in the king’s
dale: for he said, I have no son to keep my name in
remembrance: and he called the
pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day,
Absalom’s place.
During his lifetime,
Absalom had set up for himself a
pillar in the King’s
Valley, for he had said, “I have no son to preserve the memory of my name.” So he gave the
pillar his name, and to this day it is called
Absalom’s Monument.
And three of the thirty chief went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of
Adullam: and the
troop of the Philistines pitched in the
valley of
Rephaim.
At harvest time, three of the thirty chief men went down to David at the cave of
Adullam, while a company of Philistines was
encamped in the
Valley of
Rephaim.
And they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer, on the right side of the city that lieth in the midst of the river of
Gad, and toward Jazer:
They crossed the Jordan and camped near Aroer, south of the town in the middle of the
valley, and proceeded toward
Gad and Jazer.
For it shall be, that on the day thou goest out, and passest over the
brook Kidron, thou shalt know for certain that thou shalt surely die: thy blood shall be upon thine own head.
On the day you go out and cross the Kidron Valley, know for sure that you will die; your blood will be on your own head.”
And also Maachah his mother, even her he removed from being queen, because she had made an
idol in a
grove; and
Asa destroyed her
idol, and burnt it by the
brook Kidron.
And
Ahab said unto
Obadiah, Go into the land, unto all fountains of water, and unto all
brooks:
peradventure we may find grass to save the horses and mules alive, that we lose not all the beasts.
Then
Ahab said to
Obadiah, “Go throughout the land to every spring and every
valley. Perhaps we will find grass to keep the horses and mules alive so that we will not have to destroy any
livestock.”
And
Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of
Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and
Elijah brought them down to the
brook Kishon, and
slew them there.
Then
Elijah ordered them, “Seize the prophets of
Baal! Do not let a single one escape.” So they seized them, and
Elijah brought them down to the
Kishon Valley and slaughtered them there.
And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
Then the man of God approached the king of Israel and said, “This is what the LORD says: ‘Because the Arameans think the LORD is a god of the hills and not of the valleys, I will deliver all this great army into your hand. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”
And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest
peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some
valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.
“Look now,” they said to
Elisha, “we your servants have fifty
valiant men. Please let them go and search for your master. Perhaps the Spirit of the LORD has taken him up and put him on one of the mountains or in one of the
valleys.” “Do not send them,”
Elisha replied.
And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Make this
valley full of
ditches.
and he said, “This is what the LORD says: ‘
Dig this
