cleansed, on the
thumb of his right hand, and on the

pronounce the house

mildew has not spread after the house has been replastered, he shall
pronounce the house
clean, because the
mildew is gone.
And he shall take to
cleanse the house two birds, and
cedar wood, and scarlet, and
hyssop:
And he shall
cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the
cedar wood, and with the
hyssop, and with the scarlet:

For on that day shall the priest make an
atonement for you, to
cleanse you, that ye may be
clean from all your sins before the LORD.
because on this day
atonement will be made for you to
cleanse you, and you will be
clean from all your sins before the LORD.
And every soul that eateth that which died of itself, or that which was
torn with beasts, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be
clean.
And any person, whether native or foreigner, who eats anything found dead or
mauled by wild beasts must wash his clothes and
bathe with water, and he will be unclean until evening; then he will be
clean.
Ye shall therefore put difference between
clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and
clean: and ye shall not make your souls
abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.
You are therefore to distinguish between
clean and unclean animals and birds. Do not become
contaminated by any animal or bird, or by anything that crawls on the ground; I have set these apart as unclean for you.
What man
soever of the seed of Aaron is a
leper, or hath a running issue; he shall not eat of the holy things, until he be
clean. And
whoso toucheth any thing that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from him;

And when ye
reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make
clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any
gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.
When you
reap the harvest of your land, do not
reap all the way to the edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and the foreign resident. I am the LORD your God.’”

ceremonially clean.
And thus shalt thou do unto them, to
cleanse them:
Sprinkle water of
purifying upon them, and let them
shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves
clean.
And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation: and thou shalt
cleanse them, and offer them for an offering.
After you have
cleansed them and presented them as a wave offering, they may come to serve at the Tent of Meeting.
And the Levites were
purified, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them as an offering before the LORD; and Aaron made an
atonement for them to
cleanse them.
The Levites
purified themselves and washed their clothes, and Aaron presented them as a wave offering before the LORD. Aaron also made
atonement for them to
cleanse them.
But the man that is
clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the
passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the LORD in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.
But if a man who is
ceremonially clean and is not on a journey still fails to observe the
Passover, he must be cut off from his people, because he did not present the LORD’s offering at its appointed time. That man will bear the consequences of his sin.
And this is thine; the
heave offering of their gift, with all the wave offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them unto thee, and to thy sons and to thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: every one that is
clean in thy house shall eat of it.
And this is yours as well: the offering of their gifts, along with all the wave offerings of the Israelites. I have given this to you and your sons and daughters as a permanent statute. Every
ceremonially clean person in your household may eat it.
And
whatsoever is first ripe in the land, which they shall bring unto the LORD, shall be thine; every one that is
clean in thine house shall eat of it.
The firstfruits of everything in their land that they bring to the LORD will belong to you. Every
ceremonially clean person in your household may eat them.
And a man that is
clean shall gather up the ashes of the
heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a
clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a
purification for sin.
He shall
purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be
clean: but if he
purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be
clean.
He must
purify himself with the water on the third day and on the seventh day; then he will be
clean. But if he does not
purify himself on the third and seventh days, he will not be
clean.
And a
clean person shall take
hyssop, and dip it in the water, and
sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave:
Then a man who is
ceremonially clean is to take some
hyssop, dip it in the water, and
sprinkle the tent, all the furnishings, and the people who were there. He is also to
sprinkle the one who touched a bone, a grave, or a person who has died or been slain.
And the
clean person shall
sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall
purify himself, and wash his clothes, and
bathe himself in water, and shall be
clean at even.
The man who is
ceremonially clean is to
sprinkle the unclean person on the third day and on the seventh day. After he purifies the unclean person on the seventh day, the one being
cleansed must wash his clothes and
bathe in water, and that evening he will be
clean.
Every thing that may
abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be
clean: nevertheless it shall be
purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.
everything that can
withstand the fire—must be put through the fire, and it will be
clean. But it must still be
purified with the water of
purification. And everything that cannot
withstand the fire must pass through the water.
And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.
On the seventh day you are to wash your clothes, and you will be clean. After that you may enter the camp.”
So ye shall not
pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be
cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.
Do not
pollute the land where you live, for
bloodshed pollutes the land, and no
atonement can be made for the land on which the blood is shed, except by the blood of the one who shed it.
Notwithstanding thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates,
whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the
clean may eat thereof, as of the
roebuck, and as of the
hart.
But whenever you want, you may slaughter and eat meat within any of your gates, according to the blessing the LORD your God has given you. Both the
ceremonially clean and unclean may eat it as they would a
gazelle or deer,
Even as the
roebuck and the
hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the
clean shall eat of them alike.
Indeed, you may eat it as you would eat a
gazelle or deer; both the
ceremonially unclean and the
clean may eat it.
Of all clean birds ye shall eat.
You may eat any clean bird,
But of all clean fowls ye may eat.
But you may eat any clean bird.
Thou shalt eat it within thy gates: the unclean and the
clean person shall eat it alike, as the
roebuck, and as the
hart.
Eat it within your gates; both the
ceremonially unclean and
clean may eat it as they would a
gazelle or a deer.
If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:
If any man among you becomes unclean because of a
nocturnal emission, he must leave the camp and stay outside.
Rejoice, O heavens, with Him, and let all God’s angels worship Him.
Rejoice, O nations, with His people; for He will
avenge the blood of His children. He will take
vengeance on His
adversaries and repay those who
hate Him; He will
cleanse His land and His people.
And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.
The priests carrying the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, while all Israel crossed over the dry ground, until the entire nation had crossed the Jordan.
And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,
When the whole nation had finished crossing the Jordan, the LORD said to Joshua,
And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over, that the ark of the LORD passed over, and the priests, in the presence of the people.
and after
everyone had finished crossing, the priests with the ark of the LORD crossed in the sight of the people.
Is the iniquity of Peor too little for us, from which we are not
cleansed until this day, although there was a plague in the congregation of the LORD,
Was not the sin of Peor enough for us, from which we have not
cleansed ourselves to this day? It even brought a plague upon the congregation of the LORD.
Nevertheless Saul spake not any thing that day: for he thought, Something hath
befallen him, he is not
clean; surely he is not

The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the
cleanness of my hands hath he
recompensed me.

cleanness in his eye sight.
So the LORD has repaid me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in His sight.
And
Elisha sent a
messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be

clean.”

Abana and
Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be
clean? So he turned and went away in a
rage.

Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not have washed in them and been
cleansed?” So he turned and went away in a
rage.
And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had
bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be
clean?

cleansed’?”
Then went he down, and
dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was
clean.

dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh was restored and became like that of a little child, and he was
clean.
And they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense: the
shewbread also set they in order upon the pure table; and the
candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but ye have
forsaken him.
Every morning and every evening they present burnt offerings and
fragrant incense to the LORD. They set out the rows of
showbread on the
ceremonially clean table, and every evening they light the lamps of the gold lampstand. We are carrying out the requirements of the LORD our God, while you have
forsaken Him.
And they gathered their brethren, and
sanctified themselves, and came, according to the commandment of the king, by the words of the LORD, to
cleanse the house of the LORD.
When they had assembled their brothers and consecrated themselves, they went in to
cleanse the house of the LORD, according to the command of the king by the words of the LORD.
And the priests went into the inner part of the house of the LORD, to
cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness that they found in the temple of the LORD into the court of the house of the LORD. And the Levites took it, to carry it out abroad into the
brook Kidron.
So the priests went inside the house of the LORD to
cleanse it, and they brought out to the
courtyard all the unclean things that they found in the temple of the LORD. Then the Levites took these things and carried them out to the Kidron Valley.
Then they went in to
Hezekiah the king, and said, We have
cleansed all the house of the LORD, and the altar of burnt offering, with all the vessels thereof, and the
shewbread table, with all the vessels thereof.
Then they went in to King
Hezekiah and reported, “We have
cleansed the entire house of the LORD, the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the table of the
showbread with all its utensils.
