But thou art cast out of thy grave like an
abominable branch, and as the
raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a
carcase trodden under feet.
But you are cast out of your grave like a rejected branch,
covered by those slain with the sword, and
dumped into a rocky pit like a
carcass trampled underfoot.
Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
Prepare a place to slaughter his sons for the
iniquities of their forefathers. They will never rise up to possess a land or
cover the earth with their cities.
Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a
covert to them from the face of the
spoiler: for the
extortioner is at an end, the
spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
Let my fugitives stay with you; be a refuge for Moab from the destroyer.” When the
oppressor has gone, destruction has ceased, and the oppressors have
vanished from the land,
And he discovered the
covering of Judah, and thou
didst look in that day to the armour of the house of the forest.
He has uncovered the defenses of Judah. On that day you looked to the weapons in the House of the Forest.
Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee.
Look, O mighty man! The LORD is about to
shake you violently. He will take hold of you,
And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the
covering cast over all people, and the
vail that is spread over all nations.
On this mountain He will
swallow up the
shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that
covers all nations;
For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to
punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more
cover her slain.
For behold, the LORD is coming out of His dwelling to
punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. The earth will
reveal her
bloodshed and will no longer
conceal her slain.
For all tables are full of
vomit and
filthiness, so that there is no place clean.
For all their tables are
covered with
vomit; there is not a place without
filth.
For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the
covering narrower than that he can
wrap himself in it.
Indeed, the bed is too short to stretch out on, and the
blanket too small to
wrap around you.
For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.
For the LORD has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep. He has shut your eyes, O prophets; He has covered your heads, O seers.
Woe to the
rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that
cover with a
covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
“
Woe to the
rebellious children,” declares the LORD, “to those who carry out a plan that is not Mine, who form an alliance, but against My will,
heaping up sin upon sin.
Ye shall
defile also the
covering of thy
graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy
molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a
menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.
So you will
desecrate your silver-plated idols and your gold-plated images. You will throw them away like
menstrual cloths, saying to them, “Be gone!”
And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a
covert from the
tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a
weary land.
Each will be like a shelter from the wind, a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in a dry land, like the shadow of a great rock in an
arid land.
And it came to pass, when king
Hezekiah heard it, that he rent his clothes, and
covered himself with
sackcloth, and went into the house of the LORD.

Hezekiah tore his clothes, put on
sackcloth, and entered the house of the LORD.

scribe, and the elders of the priests
covered with
sackcloth, unto Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.

administrator, Shebna the
scribe, and the leading priests, all wearing
sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz
And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have
covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto
Zion, Thou art my people.
I have put My words in your mouth, and
covered you with the shadow of My hand, to establish the heavens, to found the earth, and to say to
Zion, ‘You are My people.’”
For this is as the waters of
Noah unto me: for as I have
sworn that the waters of
Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I
sworn that I would not be
wroth with thee, nor
rebuke thee.
“For to Me this is like the days of
Noah, when I
swore that the waters of
Noah would never again
cover the earth. So I have
sworn that I will not be
angry with you or
rebuke you.
Is it not to deal thy bread to the
hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou
cover him; and that thou hide not
thyself from thine own flesh?
Isn’t it to share your bread with the
hungry, to bring the poor and homeless into your home, to
clothe the naked when you see him, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.
Their cobwebs cannot be made into clothing, and they cannot cover themselves with their works. Their deeds are sinful deeds, and acts of violence are in their hands.
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
For behold, darkness covers the earth, and thick darkness is over the peoples; but the LORD will rise upon you, and His glory will appear over you.

cover thee, the
dromedaries of
Midian and
Ephah; all they from
Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall
shew forth the praises of the LORD.
I will greatly
rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath
covered me with the
robe of righteousness, as a
bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a
bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
I will
rejoice greatly in the LORD, my soul will
exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation and
wrapped me in a
robe of righteousness, as a
bridegroom wears a priestly
headdress, as a
bride adorns herself with her jewels.
We lie down in our shame, and our confusion
covereth us: for we have
sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.
Let us lie down in our shame; let our disgrace
cover us. We have
sinned against the LORD our God, both we and our fathers; from our youth even to this day we have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.”
O ye children of Benjamin, gather
yourselves to
flee out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the
trumpet in Tekoa, and set up a sign of fire in Beth-haccerem: for evil appeareth out of the north, and great destruction.
“Run for
cover, O sons of Benjamin;
flee from Jerusalem! Sound the ram’s horn in Tekoa; send up a signal over Beth-haccherem, for
disaster looms from the north, even great destruction.
And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits, and found no water; they returned with their vessels empty; they were
ashamed and confounded, and
covered their heads.
The nobles send their servants for water; they go to the cisterns, but find no water; their jars return empty. They are
ashamed and
humiliated; they
cover their heads.
Because the ground is chapt, for there was no rain in the earth, the plowmen were
ashamed, they
covered their heads.
The ground is
cracked because no rain has fallen on the land. The farmers are
ashamed; they
cover their heads.
He has left His den like a lion, for their land has been made a
desolation by the sword of the
oppressor, and because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
Egypt riseth up like a flood, and his waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up, and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof.
Egypt rises like the Nile, and its waters
churn like rivers,
boasting, ‘I will rise and
cover the earth; I will destroy the cities and their people.’
The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof.
The sea has come up over Babylon; she is
covered in
turbulent waves.
We are confounded, because we have heard reproach: shame hath
covered our faces: for strangers are come into the
sanctuaries of the LORD’S house.
“We are
ashamed because we have heard reproach; disgrace has
covered our faces, because foreigners have entered the holy places of the LORD’s house.”
How hath the Lord
covered the daughter of
Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his
footstool in the day of his anger!
How the Lord has
covered the Daughter of
Zion with the cloud of His anger! He has cast the glory of Israel from heaven to earth. He has abandoned His
footstool in the day of His anger.
He hath also broken my teeth with gravel stones, he hath covered me with ashes.
He has ground my teeth with gravel and
trampled me in the dust.
Thou hast
covered with anger, and
persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not
pitied.
You have
covered Yourself in anger and pursued us; You have killed without
pity.
Thou hast
covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.
You have
covered Yourself with a cloud that no prayer can pass through.
Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.
Such were their faces. Their wings were spread upward; each had two wings touching the wings of the creature on either side, and two wings covering its body.
And under the
firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which
covered on this side, and every one had two, which
covered on that side, their bodies.
And under the
expanse, their wings stretched out toward one another. Each one also had two wings
covering its body.
They shall also
gird themselves with
sackcloth, and
horror shall
cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and
baldness upon all their heads.
They will put on
sackcloth, and terror will
overwhelm them. Shame will
cover all their faces, and all their heads will be
shaved.
In their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulders, and carry it forth in the
twilight: thou shalt
cover thy face, that thou see not the ground: for I have set thee for a sign unto the house of Israel.
And as they watch, lift your bags to your shoulder and take them out at
dusk;
cover your face so that you cannot see the land. For I have made you a sign to the house of Israel.”
And the prince that is among them shall bear upon his shoulder in the
twilight, and shall go forth: they shall
dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall
cover his face, that he see not the ground with his eyes.
And at
dusk the prince among them will lift his bags to his shoulder and go out. They will
dig through the wall to bring him out. He will
cover his face so he cannot see the land.
Surely when the wall has fallen, you will not be asked, ‘Where is the
whitewash with which you
covered it?’
Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my
skirt over thee, and
covered thy nakedness:
yea, I
sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.
Then I passed by and saw you, and you were indeed old enough for love. So I spread My
cloak over you and
covered your nakedness. I
pledged Myself to you, entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine, declares the Lord GOD.
I clothed thee also with
broidered work, and
shod thee with badgers’ skin, and I
girded thee about with fine linen, and I
covered thee with silk.
I clothed you in
embroidered cloth and gave you
sandals of fine leather. I
wrapped you in fine linen and
covered you with silk.
And tookest thy
broidered garments, and
coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them.
You took your
embroidered garments to
cover them, and you set My oil and incense before them.
And hath not
oppressed any, but hath restored to the
debtor his
pledge, hath
spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the
hungry, and hath
covered the naked with a garment;
He does not
oppress another, but restores the
pledge to the
debtor. He does not commit
robbery, but gives his bread to the
hungry and
covers the naked with clothing.
He does not
oppress another, or retain a
pledge, or commit
robbery. He gives his bread to the
hungry and
covers the naked with clothing.
For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust;
For the blood she shed is still within her; she poured it out on the bare rock; she did not pour it on the ground to cover it with dust.
That it might cause
fury to come up to take
vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be
covered.
In order to
stir up wrath and take
vengeance, I have placed her blood on the bare rock, so that it would not be
covered.’
Forbear to cry, make no
mourning for the dead, bind the
tire of thine head upon thee, and put on thy
shoes upon thy feet, and
cover not thy lips, and eat not the bread of men.
Groan quietly; do not
mourn for the dead. Put on your
turban and
strap your
sandals on your feet; do not
cover your lips or eat the bread of mourners.”
And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men.
Then you will do as I have done: You will not cover your lips or eat the bread of mourners.
By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall
cover thee: thy walls shall
shake at the noise of the
horsemen, and of the wheels, and of the
chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a city wherein is made a breach.
His multitude of horses will
cover you in their dust. When he enters your gates as an army entering a breached city, your walls will
shake from the noise of cavalry, wagons, and
chariots.
For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a
desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall
cover thee;
For this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘When I make you a
desolate city like other deserted cities, and when I raise up the deep against you so that the mighty waters
cover you,
Fine linen with
broidered work from Egypt was that which thou spreadest forth to be thy sail; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was that which
covered thee.
Of
embroidered fine linen from Egypt they made your sail, which served as your
banner. Of blue and purple from the coasts of Elishah they made your
awning.
Thou hast been in
Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy
covering, the
sardius,
topaz, and the
diamond, the
beryl, the
onyx, and the
jasper, the
sapphire, the
emerald, and the
carbuncle, and gold: the
workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou
wast created.
You were in
Eden, the garden of God. Every kind of precious stone adorned you:
ruby,
topaz, and
diamond,
beryl,
onyx, and
jasper,
sapphire,
turquoise, and
emerald. Your mountings and settings were crafted in gold, prepared on the day of your creation.
Thou art the
anointed cherub that
covereth; and I have set thee so: thou
wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
You were
anointed as a
guardian cherub, for I had ordained you. You were on the holy mountain of God; you walked among the
fiery stones.
By the multitude of thy
merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast
sinned: therefore I will cast thee as
profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O
covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
By the vastness of your trade, you were filled with violence, and you
sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mountain of God, and I banished you, O
guardian cherub, from among the
fiery stones.
At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be
darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the
pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall
cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.
The day will be
darkened in Tahpanhes when I break the yoke of Egypt and her proud strength comes to an end. A cloud will
cover her, and her daughters will go into captivity.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when he went down to the grave I caused a
mourning: I
covered the deep for him, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused
Lebanon to
mourn for him, and all the trees of the field
fainted for him.
This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘On the day it was brought down to
Sheol, I caused
mourning. I
covered the deep because of it; I held back its rivers; its abundant waters were restrained. I made
Lebanon mourn for it, and all the trees of the field
fainted because of it.
And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.
When I
extinguish you, I will
cover the heavens and
darken their stars. I will
cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon will not give its light.
And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
I will
attach tendons to you and make flesh grow upon you and
cover you with skin. I will put breath within you so that you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”
And when I
beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin
covered them above: but there was no breath in them.
As I looked on, tendons appeared on them, flesh grew, and skin covered them; but there was no breath in them.
Thou shalt
ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to
cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
You and all your troops, and many peoples with you will go up, advancing like a
thunderstorm; you will be like a cloud
covering the land.
And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to
cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be
sanctified in thee, O
Gog, before their eyes.
You will advance against My people Israel like a cloud
covering the land. It will happen in the latter days, O
Gog, that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me when I show Myself holy in you before their eyes.
The door posts, and the narrow windows, and the
galleries round about on their three stories, over against the door, cieled with wood round about, and from the ground up to the windows, and the windows were
covered;
as well as the thresholds and the
beveled windows and the
galleries all around with their three levels opposite the
threshold, were overlaid with wood on all sides. They were
paneled from the ground to the windows, and the windows were
covered.
O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries
whither thou hast driven them, because of their
trespass that they have
trespassed against thee.
To You, O Lord, belongs righteousness, but this day we are covered with shame—the men of Judah, the people of Jerusalem, and all Israel near and far, in all the countries to which You have driven us because of our unfaithfulness to You.
O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have
sinned against thee.
O LORD, we are
covered with shame—our kings, our leaders, and our fathers—because we have
sinned against You.
Therefore will I return, and take away my corn in the time thereof, and my wine in the season thereof, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.
Therefore I will take back My grain in its time and My new wine in its season; I will take away My wool and linen, which were given to cover her nakedness.
The high places also of
Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the
thorn and the
thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains,
Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.
The high places of
Aven will be destroyed— it is the sin of Israel; thorns and thistles will overgrow their altars. Then they will say to the mountains, “
Cover us!” and to the hills, “Fall on us!”
For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.
Because of the violence against your brother Jacob, you will be
covered with shame and cut off
forever.
For word came unto the king of
Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his
robe from him, and
covered him with
sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
When word reached the king of
Nineveh, he got up from his throne, took off his royal
robe,
covered himself with
sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
But let man and beast be
covered with
sackcloth, and cry
mightily unto God:
yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.
Furthermore, let both man and beast be
covered with
sackcloth, and have
everyone call out earnestly to God. Let each one turn from his evil ways and from the violence in his hands.
Then shall the seers be
ashamed, and the diviners confounded:
yea, they shall all
cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.
Then the seers will be
ashamed and the diviners will be disgraced. They will all
cover their mouths because there is no answer from God.”
Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall
cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be
trodden down as the
mire of the streets.
Then my enemy will see and will be
covered with shame— she who said to me, “Where is the LORD your God?” My eyes will see her; at that time she will be
trampled like mud in the streets.
For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.
Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy
foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD’S right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful
spewing shall be on thy glory.
You will be filled with shame instead of glory. You too must drink and
expose your
uncircumcision! The cup in the LORD’s right hand will come around to you, and utter disgrace will
cover your glory.
For the violence of
Lebanon shall
cover thee, and the
spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
For your violence against
Lebanon will
overwhelm you, and the destruction of animals will
terrify you, because of your
bloodshed against men and your violence against the land, the city, and all their dwellers.
God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount
Paran.
Selah. His glory
covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.
God came from Teman, and the Holy One from Mount
Paran.
Selah His glory
covered the heavens, and His praise filled the earth.
And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the
ephah.
And behold, the
cover of lead was raised, and there was a woman sitting inside the
basket.
And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the
ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.
“This is Wickedness,” he said. And he
shoved her down into the
basket,
pushing down the lead
cover over its opening.
And this have ye done again,
covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with
weeping, and with crying out,
insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.
And this is another thing you do: You
cover the altar of the LORD with tears, with
weeping and
groaning, because He no longer regards your offerings or receives them
gladly from your hands.
For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one
covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take
heed to your spirit, that ye deal not
treacherously.
“For I
hate divorce,” says the LORD, the God of Israel. “He who divorces his wife
covers his garment with violence,” says the LORD of Hosts. So guard
yourselves in your spirit and do not break faith.
And, behold, there arose a great
tempest in the sea,
insomuch that the ship was
covered with the waves: but he was
asleep.
Suddenly a violent storm came up on the sea, so that the boat was
engulfed by the waves; but Jesus was sleeping.
Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing
covered, that shall not be revealed; and
hid, that shall not be known.
So do not be afraid of them. For there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, and nothing hidden that will not be made known.
And consulted that they might take Jesus by
subtilty, and kill him.
After two days was the feast of the
passover, and of
unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the
scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
Now the
Passover and the Feast of
Unleavened Bread were two days away, and the chief priests and
scribes were looking for a
covert way to arrest Jesus and kill Him.
And some began to
spit on him, and to
cover his face, and to
buffet him, and to say unto him,
Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.
Then some of them began to
spit on Him. They
blindfolded Him, struck Him with their fists, and said to Him, “
Prophesy!” And the officers received Him with slaps in His face.
And it came to pass, when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of
leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and
besought him, saying, Lord, if thou
wilt, thou canst make me clean.
While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was
covered with
leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell facedown and
begged Him, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
No man, when he hath lighted a
candle,
covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a
candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
No one lights a lamp and
covers it with a
jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, he sets it on a stand, so those who enter can see the light.
For there is nothing
covered, that shall not be revealed; neither
hid, that shall not be known.
There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, and nothing hidden that will not be made known.
And there was a certain
beggar named
Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us.
At that time ‘they will say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!”’
Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a
pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue
Bethesda, having five porches.
Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a
pool with five
covered colonnades, which in Hebrew is called
Bethesda.
Then they
cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one
accord,
At this they
covered their ears,
cried out in a loud voice, and
rushed together at him.
“Blessed are they whose lawless acts are
forgiven, whose sins are
covered.
Every man praying or
prophesying, having his head
covered, dishonoureth his head.
Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head.
For if the woman be not
covered, let her also be
shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be
shorn or
shaven, let her be
covered.
If a woman does not
cover her head, she should have her hair cut off. And if it is shameful for a woman to have her hair cut or
shaved off, she should
cover her head.
For a man indeed ought not to
cover his head,
forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man.
But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
but that if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For long hair is given to her as a covering.
But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the
vail is upon their heart.
And even to this day when Moses is read, a
veil covers their hearts.
Which had the golden
censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had
manna, and Aaron’s rod that
budded, and the tables of the covenant;
containing the golden altar of incense and the gold-
covered ark of the covenant. Inside the ark were the gold
jar of
manna, Aaron’s staff that had
budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant.
