mercies, and of all the truth, which thou hast shewed unto thy servant; for with my staff I passed over this Jordan; and now I am become two bands.

wander around with us

sepulchre; they
flatter with their tongue.

deceit.

harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.

harp for Your
faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praise to You with the
lyre, O Holy One of Israel.

buckler.

To
shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy
faithfulness every night,
to
proclaim Your loving devotion in the morning and Your
faithfulness at night

Woe unto you,
scribes and
Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay
tithe of
mint and
anise and
cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Woe to you,
scribes and
Pharisees, you hypocrites! You pay
tithes of
mint,
dill, and
cumin. But you have disregarded the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and
faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.
