remembrance of the wise more than of the

fool, seeing that both will be forgotten in the days to come.

fool!

fools.

stupidity of wickedness and the folly of madness.

fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become
brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?

fools, the princes of
Noph are
deceived; they have also
seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.

fools; the princes of
Memphis are
deceived. The cornerstones of her tribes have led Egypt

vile person will speak
villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to

hungry, and he will cause the drink of the
thirsty to fail.

fool speaks
foolishness; his mind plots iniquity. He practices
ungodliness and speaks falsely about the LORD; he leaves the
hungry empty and deprives the
thirsty of drink.

highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of
holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the

fools, shall not
err therein.

highway called the Way of
Holiness. The unclean will not travel it— only those who walk in the Way— and
fools will not
stray onto it.
That frustrateth the
tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners
mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge
foolish;

For my people is
foolish, they have not known me; they are
sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

foolish children, without understanding. They are skilled in doing evil, but they know not how to do good.”

Hear now this, O
foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not:

foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear.

foolish,
instructed by worthless idols made of wood!
As the
partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a
fool.

fool.”

visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a

retribution have arrived— let Israel know it. The prophet is called a
fool, and the inspired man
insane, because of the greatness of your iniquity and hostility.

Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but
whosoever shall say, Thou
fool, shall be in danger of
hell fire.
But I tell you that
anyone who is
angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again,
anyone who says to his brother, ‘
Raca,’ will be subject to the
Sanhedrin. But
anyone who says, ‘You
fool!’ will be subject to the fire of
hell.

You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes it sacred?

foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also?
You fools! Did not the One who made the outside make the inside as well?

debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

glorified him not as God, neither were
thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their
foolish heart was
darkened.

fools,

instructor of the
foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.

angry by a nation without understanding.”

Where is the wise? where is the
scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made
foolish the wisdom of this world?
Where is the wise man? Where is the
scribe? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made
foolish the wisdom of the world?
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the
foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
Because the
foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
For the

But God hath chosen the
foolish things of the world to
confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to
confound the things which are mighty;

foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are
foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually
discerned.

foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually
discerned.
Let no man
deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a
fool, that he may be wise.
Let no one
deceive himself. If any of you thinks he is wise in this age, he should become a
fool, so that he may become wise.
For the wisdom of this world is
foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own
craftiness.

craftiness.”

fool, that which thou sowest is not
quickened, except it die:

fool! What you
sow does not come to life unless it dies.

I hope you will bear with a little of my
foolishness, but you are already doing that.

fool; if otherwise, yet as a
fool receive me, that I may
boast myself a little.
I
repeat: Let no one take me for a
fool. But if you do, then receive me as a
fool, so that I too may
boast a little.
That which I speak, I speak it not after the Lord, but as it were
foolishly, in this confidence of
boasting.
In this
confident boasting of mine, I am not speaking as the Lord would, but as a
fool.
I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak.
Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold, (I speak
foolishly,) I am bold also.
Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a
fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths
oft.
Are they servants of Christ? I am speaking like I am out of my mind, but I am so much more: in harder labor, in more imprisonments, in worse beatings, in frequent danger of death.
For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a
fool; for I will say the truth: but now I
forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he
seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.
Even if I wanted to
boast, I would not be a
fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I
refrain, so no one will credit me with more than he sees in me or hears from me,
I am become a
fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been
commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing.
I have become a
fool, but you drove me to it. In fact, you should have
commended me, since I am in no way inferior to those “
super-apostles,” even though I am nothing.
Are ye so
foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Are you so
foolish? After starting in the Spirit, are you now finishing in the flesh?
Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Therefore do not be
foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
Those who want to be rich, however, fall into
temptation and become ensnared by many
foolish and
harmful desires that
plunge them into ruin and destruction.
But
foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do
gender strifes.
But
reject foolish and ignorant speculation, for you know that it breeds quarreling.
But avoid
foolish questions, and
genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
But
wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
O
foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is worthless?
For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of
foolish men:
For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorance of
foolish men.
I answered and said,
Verily it is a
foolish thought that they both have devised, for the ground is given unto the wood, and the sea also hath his place to bear his floods.
