Go,
enquire of the LORD for me, and for them that are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the book that is

found against him, they are indeed written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah. And his son
Jehoiachin reigned in his place.

rebellious and the bad city, and have set up the walls thereof, and joined the
foundations.

found that this city of old time hath made insurrection against kings, and that rebellion and

Memorandum:
In the first year of Cyrus the king the same Cyrus the king made a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem, Let the house be builded, the place where they offered sacrifices, and let the
foundations thereof be strongly laid; the height thereof
threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof
threescore cubits;

Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and
found there none of the sons of Levi.

buy back our Jewish brothers who were sold to foreigners, but now you are selling your own brothers, that they may be sold back to us!” But they remained silent, for they could find nothing to say.
And my God put into mine heart to gather together the nobles, and the rulers, and the people, that they might be reckoned by
genealogy. And I
found a register of the
genealogy of them which came up at the first, and
found written therein,
Then my God put it into my heart to
assemble the nobles, the officials, and the people to be
enrolled by
genealogy. I
found the
genealogical register of those who had first returned, and I
found the following written in it:

found: therefore were they, as
polluted, put from the priesthood.

foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the
Canaanites, the
Hittites, the
Amorites, and the
Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and hast performed thy words; for thou art righteous:
You
found his heart faithful before You, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the
Canaanites and
Hittites, of the
Amorites and
Perizzites, of the Jebusites and Girgashites— to give it to his descendants. You have kept Your promise, because You are righteous.

audience of the people; and therein was
found written, that the

found the passage stating that no
Ammonite or
Moabite should ever enter the assembly of God,
Now when the turn of
Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of
Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s
chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And
Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.
Now
Esther was the daughter of Abihail, the uncle from whom
Mordecai had adopted her as his own daughter. And when it was her turn to go to the king, she did not ask for anything except what Hegai, the king’s trusted official in charge of the
harem, had
advised. And
Esther found favor in the eyes of
everyone who saw her.
And the king loved
Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
And the king loved
Esther more than all the other women, and she
found grace and favor in his sight more than all of the other virgins. So he placed the royal crown upon her head and made her queen in place of Vashti.
And when
inquisition was made of the matter, it was
found out; therefore they were both

gallows. And all this was recorded in the Book of the Chronicles in the presence of the king.
Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in
Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
“Go and
assemble all the Jews who can be
found in
Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day, and I and my maidens will fast as you do. After that, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish!”
And it was so, when the king saw
Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to
Esther the golden
sceptre that was in his hand. So
Esther drew near, and touched the top of the
sceptre.
As soon as the king saw Queen
Esther standing in the court, she
found favor in his sight. The king extended the gold
scepter in his hand toward
Esther, and she approached and touched the
tip of the
scepter.
If I have
found favour in the sight of the king, and if it please the king to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king and
Haman come to the
banquet that I shall prepare for them, and I will do to
morrow as the king hath said.
If I have
found favor in the sight of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and
fulfill my request, may the king and
Haman come
tomorrow to the
banquet I will prepare for them. Then I will answer the king’s question.”
And it was
found written, that
Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king

And there it was
found recorded that
Mordecai had exposed Bigthana and Teresh, two of the eunuchs who guarded the king’s entrance, when they had
conspired to
assassinate King
Xerxes.
Then
Esther the queen answered and said, If I have
found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:
Queen
Esther replied, “If I have
found favor in your sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, grant me my life as my petition, and the lives of my people as my request.
And said, If it please the king, and if I have
found favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by
Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king’s provinces:
“If it pleases the king,” she said, “and if I have
found favor in his sight, and the matter seems proper to the king, and I am pleasing in his sight, may an order be written to
revoke the letters that the scheming
Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, wrote to destroy the Jews in all the king’s provinces.
How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose
foundation is in the dust, which are
crushed before the
moth?
how much more those who dwell in houses of clay, whose
foundations are in the dust, who can be
crushed like a
moth!
Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof
tremble.
He shakes the earth from its place, so that its
foundations tremble.
If I be wicked, why then labour I in vain?
Since I am already found guilty, why should I labor in vain?
With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.
Wisdom is found with the elderly, and understanding comes with long life.
But ye should say, Why
persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is
found in me?
If you say, ‘Let us
persecute him, since the root of the matter lies with him,’
He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be
found:
yea, he shall be
chased away as a vision of the night.
He will fly away like a dream, never to be
found; he will be
chased away like a vision in the night.
Which were cut down out of time, whose
foundation was
overflown with a flood:
They were
snatched away before their time, and their
foundations were swept away by a flood.
But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding?
But where can wisdom be found, and where does understanding dwell?
Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.
No man can know its value, nor is it found in the land of the living.
If I
rejoiced at the destruction of him that
hated me, or lifted up myself when evil
found him:
Also against his three friends was his wrath
kindled, because they had
found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
and he burned with anger against Job’s three friends because they had failed to
refute Job, and yet had condemned him.
Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
So do not claim, ‘We have
found wisdom; let God, not man,
refute him.’
Then he is
gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have
found a
ransom.
to be
gracious to him and say, ‘
Spare him from going down to the Pit; I have
found his
ransom,’
Where
wast thou when I laid the
foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding.
Whereupon are the
foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
On what were its foundations set, or who laid its cornerstone,
And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
No women as beautiful as Job’s daughters could be found in all the land, and their father granted them an inheritance among their brothers.
Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none.
Break the arm of the wicked and
evildoer; call him to account for his wickedness until none is left to be
found.
If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not
transgress.
You have tried my heart; You have visited me in the night. You have tested me and found no evil; I have resolved not to sin with my mouth.
Then the earth
shook and
quaked, and the
foundations of the mountains
trembled; they were
shaken because He burned with anger.
Then the channels of waters were seen, and the
foundations of the world were discovered at thy
rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
The channels of the sea appeared, and the
foundations of the world were exposed, at Your
rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.
For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.
For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be
found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come
nigh unto him.
Therefore let all the godly pray to You while You may be found. Surely when great waters rise, they will not come near.
For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be
found to be
hateful.
For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be:
yea, thou shalt
diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
Yet a little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.
Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not:
yea, I sought him, but he could not be
found.
yet he passed away and was no more; though I searched, he could not be found.
Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of
heaviness: and I looked for some to take
pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I
found none.
Insults have broken my heart, and I am in
despair. I looked for sympathy, but there was none, for comforters, but I
found no one.
The stouthearted are
spoiled, they have
slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have
found their hands.
The
valiant lie
plundered; they sleep their last sleep. No men of might could lift a hand.
Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.
Your path led through the sea, Your way through the mighty waters, but Your footprints were not to be found.
They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
They do not know or understand; they
wander in the darkness; all the
foundations of the earth are
shaken.
Yea, the
sparrow hath
found an house, and the
swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
Even the
sparrow has
found a home, and the
swallow a nest for herself, where she places her young near Your altars, O LORD of Hosts, my King and my God.
His foundation is in the holy mountains.
He has founded His city on the holy mountains.
The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the
fulness thereof, thou hast
founded them.
The heavens are Yours, and also the earth. The earth and its fullness You founded.
Justice and judgment are the
habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; loving devotion and faithfulness go before You.
I have
found David my servant; with my holy oil have I
anointed him:
I have
found My servant David; with My sacred oil I have
anointed him.
Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the
habitation of his throne.
Clouds and darkness
surround Him; righteousness and justice are His throne’s
foundation.
Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
In the beginning You laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.
Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.
He set the earth on its foundations, never to be moved.
They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.
the mountains rose and the valleys
sank to the place You assigned for them—
They
wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they
found no city to dwell in.
Some
wandered in desert wastelands, finding no path to a city in which to dwell.
When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.
When he is tried, let him be found guilty, and may his prayer be regarded as sin.
The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of
hell gat hold upon me: I
found trouble and sorrow.
Trouble and
anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights.
Trouble and distress have found me, but Your commandments are my delight.
Concerning thy
testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast
founded them for ever.
Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.
We heard that the ark was in Ephrathah; we found it in the fields of Jaar.
Remember, O LORD, the children of
Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said,
Rase it,
rase it, even to the
foundation thereof.
Remember, O LORD, the sons of
Edom on the day Jerusalem fell: “Destroy it,” they said, “
tear it down to its
foundations!”
The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
The LORD founded the earth by wisdom and established the heavens by understanding.
But if he be
found, he shall restore
sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.
Yet if caught, he must pay
sevenfold; he must give up all the wealth of his house.
Therefore came I forth to meet thee,
diligently to seek thy face, and I have
found thee.
So I came out to meet you; I sought you, and I have found you.
When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
when He set a boundary for the sea, so that the waters would not
surpass His command, when He marked out the
foundations of the earth.
He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
He who walks in
integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will be
found out.
In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
Wisdom is
found on the lips of the
discerning, but a rod is for the back of him who lacks judgment.
When the
whirlwind passes, the wicked are no more, but the righteous are secure
forever.
Fools make a
mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.
Fools
mock the making of
amends, but goodwill is
found among the upright.
The
hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be
found in the way of righteousness.
Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is attained along the path of righteousness.
All the brethren of the poor do
hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? he pursueth them with words, yet they are wanting to him.
All the brothers of a poor man
hate him— how much more do his friends avoid him! He may pursue them with
pleading, but they are nowhere to be
found.
So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.
Know therefore that wisdom is sweet to your soul. If you find it, there is a future for you, and your hope will never be cut off.
Hast thou
found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled
therewith, and
vomit it.
If you find honey, eat just what you need, lest you have too much and
vomit it up.
Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be
found a
liar.
Do not add to His words, lest He
rebuke you and prove you a
liar.
Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he
curse thee, and thou be
found guilty.
Do not
slander a servant to his master, or he will
curse you, and you will bear the guilt.
The
spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings’ palaces.
and the
lizard can be caught in one’s hands, yet it is
found in the palaces of kings.
I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and
vexation of spirit.
I have seen all the things that are done under the sun, and have
found them all to be
futile, a pursuit of the wind.
Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and
vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.
Yet when I considered all the works that my hands had accomplished and what I had
toiled to
achieve, I
found everything to be
futile, a pursuit of the wind; there was nothing to be gained under the sun.
