found them not, they drew

shouting, “These men who have turned the world
upside down have now come here,
For as I passed by, and
beheld your devotions, I
found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
For as I walked around and examined your objects of worship, I even
found an altar with this inscription: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore what you worship as something unknown, I now
proclaim to you.

drachmas.

found that the
accusation involved questions about their own law, but there was no charge worthy of death or imprisonment.
And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:
Yet my accusers did not find me
debating with
anyone in the temple or
riling up a crowd in the synagogues or in the city.
At the time they
found me in the temple, I was
ceremonially clean and was not
inciting a crowd or an
uproar. But there are some Jews from the province of Asia

Yea, so have I
strived to
preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s
foundation:
In this way I have
aspired to
preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s
foundation.
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the
foundation, and another buildeth
thereon. But let every man take
heed how he buildeth
thereupon.
By the grace God has given me, I laid a
foundation as an
expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds.
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
For no one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Now if any man build upon this
foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay,
stubble;
If
anyone builds on this
foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw,

found false witnesses of God; because we have
testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
In that case, we are also exposed as false witnesses about God. For we have
testified about God that He raised Christ from the dead, but He did not raise Him if in fact the dead are not raised.
I had no rest in my spirit, because I
found not
Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into

I had no peace in my spirit, because I did not find my brother
Titus there. So I said goodbye to them and went on to
Macedonia.
If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked.
For if I have
boasted any thing to him of you, I am not
ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our
boasting, which I made before
Titus, is
found a truth.
Indeed, I was not
embarrassed by anything I had
boasted to him about you. But just as everything we said to you was true, so our
boasting to
Titus has proved to be true as well.
But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.
But I will keep on doing what I am doing, in order to undercut those who want an opportunity to be regarded as our equals in the things of which they
boast.
For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
For I am afraid that when I come, I may not find you as I wish, and you may not find me as you wish. I fear that there may be quarreling, jealousy,
rage,
rivalry,
slander,
gossip,
arrogance, and disorder.
But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are
found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God
forbid.
But if, while we seek to be justified in Christ, we ourselves are found to be sinners, does that make Christ a minister of sin? Certainly not!
According as he hath chosen us in him before the
foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without
blame before him in love:

foundation of the world to be holy and
blameless in His presence. In love

And being
found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became
obedient to death— even death on a cross.
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God on the basis of faith.
And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a
deacon, being
found blameless.
Additionally, they must first be tested. Then, if they are above reproach, let them serve as deacons.
But if I
tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to
behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the
pillar and ground of the truth.
in case I am delayed, so that you will know how each one must conduct himself in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the
pillar and
foundation of the truth.

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Nevertheless, God’s firm
foundation stands, bearing this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord must turn away from iniquity.”
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have
sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the
foundation of the world.
Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said: “So I
swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’” And yet His works have been finished since the
foundation of the world.
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the
foundation of
repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to
maturity, not laying again the
foundation of
repentance from dead works, and of faith in God,
But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the
mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
Now, however, Jesus has received a much more excellent ministry, just as the covenant He mediates is better and is founded on better promises.

For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Otherwise, Christ would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But now He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
By faith
Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not
found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
By faith
Enoch was taken up so that he did not see death: “He could not be
found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was
commended as one who pleased God.
For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.
For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he
found no place of
repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.
For you know that afterward, when he wanted to
inherit the blessing, he was rejected. He could find no ground for
repentance, though he sought the blessing with tears.
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
so that the
proven character of your faith—more precious than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Who
verily was foreordained before the
foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
He was known before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in the last times for your sake.
Who did no sin, neither was
guile found in his mouth:
“He committed no sin, and no
deceit was
found in His mouth.”
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be

blameless in His sight.
I
rejoiced greatly that I
found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
I was overjoyed to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father has commanded us.
I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy
patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast
found them liars:
I know your deeds, your labor, and your
perseverance. I know that you cannot
tolerate those who are evil, and you have tested and exposed as liars those who falsely claim to be apostles.
Be watchful, and
strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not
found thy works perfect before God.
Wake up and
strengthen what remains, which was about to die; for I have
found your deeds incomplete in the sight of My God.
And I
wept much, because no man was
found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look

And I began to
weep bitterly, because no one was
found worthy to open the
scroll or look inside it.

But the
dragon was not strong enough, and no longer was any place

found no
guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
And no lie was
found in their mouths; they are
blameless.

ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into
perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the
foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
The beast that you saw—it was, and now is no more, but is about to come up out of the
Abyss and go to its destruction. And those who dwell on the earth whose names were not written in the Book of Life from the
foundation of the world will
marvel when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet will be.
And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great
millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be
found no more at all.

millstone and cast it into the sea, saying: “With such violence the great city of Babylon will be cast down, never to be seen again.
And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no
craftsman, of
whatsoever craft he be, shall be
found any more in thee; and the sound of a
millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
And the sound of harpists and musicians, of
flute players and trumpeters, will never ring out in you again. Nor will any
craftsmen of any trade be
found in you again, nor the sound of a
millstone be heard in you again.

found there Josias gave thirty thousand lambs and kids, and three thousand
calves: these things were given of the king’s allowance, according as he promised, to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites.
Yea, all the kings of Israel held not such a
passover as Josias, and the priests, and the Levites, and the Jews, held with all Israel that were
found dwelling at Jerusalem.
Be it now known to the lord king, that the Jews that are up from you to us, being come into Jerusalem, that
rebellious and wicked city, do build the marketplaces, and repair the walls of it and do lay the
foundation of the temple.
I have read the epistle which ye have sent unto me: therefore I commanded to make
diligent search, and it hath been
found that that city was from the beginning practising against kings;
Then said the king unto him, Ask what thou
wilt more than is appointed in the writing, and we will give it thee, because thou art
found wisest; and thou shalt sit next me, and shalt be called my cousin.
And of the priests that
usurped the office of the priesthood, and were not

found, they were removed from
executing the office of the priesthood:

vowed, and all the gold and silver that in the country of Babylon can be
found, to the Lord in Jerusalem,

And again we
besought our Lord as touching these things, and
found him favourable unto us.
And of the priests that were come together, and had strange wives, there were found:

found but in Israel.

And salt waters shall be found in the sweet, and all friends shall destroy one another; then shall wit hide itself, and understanding withdraw itself into his secret chamber,
And shall be sought of many, and yet not be
found: then shall unrighteousness and
incontinency be multiplied upon earth.
Then said I, Lord, I
beseech thee, if I have
found favour in thy sight,
shew thy servant by whom thou visitest thy creature.
I answered then and said, O Lord that bearest rule, if I have found favour in thy sight,
And therefore when it speaketh be not afraid: for the word is of the end, and the foundation of the earth is understood.
And suddenly shall the sown places appear unsown, the full storehouses shall suddenly be found empty:
I answered then and said, If I have found grace, let me speak.
And I looked, and, behold, the woman appeared unto me no more, but there was a city builded, and a large place shewed itself from the
foundations: then was I afraid, and
cried with a loud voice, and said,
Therefore I commanded thee to go into the field, where no foundation of any building was.
And I said, Lord that bearest rule, if I have found grace before thy sight, and if I am justified with thee before many others, and if my prayer indeed be come up before thy face;
